New Treasure City in Blackpool

Absolutely beautiful food! Staying at a nearby hotel and happened to come in to try the food! So glad I did, probably the best Chinese food I've had on my entire life. Friendly staff and nice atmosphere.

The chicken curry was bland. it's like you get from a Chinese chippy no taste .we asked for vegetable spring rolls and we've got duck did not taste nice kept on watching us when we were eating disrespectful I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Tried this restaurant for the first time tonight and will definitely be back, was a quiet Sunday night but the food and the service was excellent, the staff were very engaging creating a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere

Found here online ordered by phone. Delivered really quickly and worked out alot cheaper than ordering through just eat etc (however it’s not available to order on any app) which is probably why it was so good. Great food and recommend

Had the crispy duck, salt and pepper chips and chicken curry and omg it was lovely the salt and pepper chips were proper flavoursome opened the tray the smell was amazing the curry was just the same, crispy duck was cooked perfectly exactly as it should be I wish now I'd brought the full duck. I'll be going back to try the lamb.

Four of us went for a fabulous meal, we all had a starter and a main which we all fully enjoyed, the experience and service was amazing, from the minute we walked in we , was warmly welcomed and looked after like family, a real diamond of a restaurant.

Always delicious food here. Very friendly staff who try to make your evening enjoyable. Prices are very reasonable and we never have any issues with the quality of the food or the portion size. If you are local or in town for a break, try out this little gem you won’t be disappointed.

We are always made welcome when dining here. The food is excellent, the staff are very friendly and offer outstanding service. We have tried various dishes and all have been delicious. We witnessed some very disrespectful behaviour towards the staff from some customers but this didn’t stop us enjoying our dinner.

Food poor quality ordered crispy beef in chilli sauce it came out and was more like fried batter in sweet and sour sauce (never seen beef) So I left it nobody came to to see if our food was ok at the end coming to pay the bill I complained about my food and they didn’t seem bothered the waitress took my plate away knowing it hadn’t been touched. Asked to speak with the manager and he couldn’t understand what I was saying. I agreed to pay my for my starter as I got the set menu which changes prices from on here to the menu in the window to the menu when you get seated. Don’t get tap water as they held that against us I didn’t know there would be a problem drinking water on such a hot day. They said they would knock £3 off my bill and that the 3 ribs I’d had ment they had cost me £11! When there £7.80 on the menu still expensive! Wouldn’t waste your time to go away still hungry!

After booking another Chinese micheal wans in blackpool and realising how much the prices have increased we booked this Chinese and I'm glad I did very nice food will deffo be returning and the price was very good Thankyou

Visited the restaurant yesterday on a quick trip to Blackpool. Seated quickly and served quickly. Staff were really nice, explained what was in the curry to ensure we got what we liked. Food was amazing and very generous portions. The Chinese curry was fabulous. Nice and spicy and they explained they make it themselves and it’s not a packet mix. All staff took the time to say hello, ask where were were from, and asked about our trip. They recommended visiting the Illuminations when they heard we had never been. We chatted for a while to a member of staff who served us when we asked for extra drinks. She was very friendly and lovely. My husband had visited China and they were chatting about that. She also made a big fuss of my little boy which was lovely. He ended up giving her a big hug when he left! Thanks so much for your warm welcome and amazing food! We will definitely return the next time we’re in Blackpool.

Has to be the best tasting Chinese restaurant I've ever ate in. The curry sauce was hot, spicy and very tasty just how we like. What a find on my trip to Blackpool. Really unhappy orderd chicken balls and got this and was overcharged the order should of came to 27 with delivery but the lady on the phone said 35 to then when I looked back on the menu online the prices was completely different really unhappy I order here because it had good reviews but never again chiken curry was the spiciest curry I've ever had was not eatable at all

Turned up without booking but they managed to fit us in. Small place but perfectly organised. Best Chinese food I have ever tasted. Spotlessly clean and very attentive and friendly staff. We absolutely loved it here tonight. Food was amazing and the staff were so friendly and welcoming. We don’t live in Blackpool but will be sure to visit again in the future when we return. The shredded duck is highly recommended and was shredded in front of us from a solid huge portion. The hot and sour soup was delicious just the same as the appetisers. The curry was the darkest Chinese curry I’ve ever had and again I highly rate it but my wife thought was a tad too spicy for her. If this place was near me I’d be a permanent visitor there. There is also a takeaway side to the place. Top marks from me

This was our first visit to this restaurant since MIchael Wan's became too expensive. We visited as soon as the restaurant opened on a Sunday evening. We had the two course Sunday menu which had a good choice . We shared ribs and chicken wings starters followed by chicken, green pepper and black bean and crispy Sechuan beef plus we added the Special chow mien. The food was excellent with very good ingredients nicely cooked with not too much MSC or spoiled by too much sauce. The restaurant is not in the town centre but there is on street parking and the excellent menu is not too expensive. We would visit again and try other dishes.

Had delivery going off reviews unfortunately not as good as anticipated, hot and sour soup very bland was more like a peppery soup , chicken satay ok chicken nice however the satay sauce was nothing like a peanut spicy sauce was more garlicky sauce never seen a satay sauce like this , lastly singapore vermicelli is supposed to be hot and spicy and unfortunately was extremely bland , really sorry to say guys , pretty disappointed

STILL THE BEST CHINESE EVER. A year on and my review STILL remains the same. A little out of the way from the usual life of Blackpool but it is still awesome. IT is also lovely for the staff to remember us! Honestly, don't walk but run to this place. We ordered a little bit of everything as shown from the pictures. There was a party on so the food was longer than usual, but their longer than usual is everyone's standard. This place should take a boy as it is out of this world.

The food and service is absolutely superb. If anyone likes Chinese food then they would not be disappointed here. The beef was cooked very tender, attentive waiter/waitress made us feel welcome. It was really delightful this being our first visit on our stay in Blackpool. We will definitely call back. The price was fair and on average to other places. The waiting time was reasonable considering the quality of our meal

Visited here on a week night as we were staying in the hotel over the road. The lady who served us was lovely and friendly. We were so impressed with the food, it was all delicious. The portions were very generous, everything was fresh and piping hot. Very reasonable price for 3 course meal and plenty of drinks. We will definitely return next time we’re in Blackpool

We were looking for somewhere to have an evening meal and came across this restaurant. What a lovely surprise! The staff were welcoming ,helpful and friendly. The restaurant was vey clean and relaxing, the sweet and sour chicken was to die for . A lovely experience all round, would recommend this restaurant to everyone.

Went in without a table booked prior but staff were still very accommodating, got us a table for 2. The service was above and beyond literally 5 star treatment dishes were cooked perfectly, and we're very quick out of the kitchen. Very nice cost place & the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming.

Excellent in every department can not praise it highly enough will definitely be eating there on many more occasions if you haven’t already tried it don’t miss out definitely put it on your bucket list thanks for a superb meal

Visited this gem of a restaurant on the back of the reviews. Absolutely excellent 👍. Staff friendly and attentive and we did not feel rushed even though they were busy. We even had a lesson in the artwork meanings adorning the walls.The food was first class. It is advisable to book as it does get busy which is also reassuring. Thank you to all the staff, we will definitely visit again.

My partner and I visited for dinner ordered barbecue spareribs which came with no sauce spring rolls nothing inside the chicken and mushroom was alright beef with green pepper and black bean sauce was terrible to thick the fried rice was yellow first time I’ve seen this in a Chinese the chips were the best thing we had The staff were to loud laughing and carrying on in the restaurant not professional at all .Chairs were all ripped taped over .This restaurant is over rated on the reviews

We had a take away one night and it was amazing. The best Chinese food we have ever eaten. So, we decided to go for a sit down meal. The restaurant itself and staff were wonderful and the food was top quality. The price was unbelievably cheap too. If you like a Chinese you have to try this place. Absolutely amazing!

Wow! We were looking for a nice restaurant in the North Shore part of Blackpool and New Treasure City popped up on my radar. It's located in amongst a row of shops which doesn't automatically scream 'visit me', but the interior feels both inviting and welcoming. We opted for the 4-course buffet dinner and it's honestly one of the best Chinese meals we've enjoyed in many years. Service is excellent also. The restaurant was very busy the whole time we were there, which goes to show how popular it is amongst locals.

Had a great meal here on Friday evening, food was excellent (we went for Banquet B) and the staff were very friendly and looked after us so well. The restaurant is in the North Shore area, so not really a walk past and see destination but highly recommend a visit.

After looking for a Chinese restaurant on our recent visit to Blackpool we decided to give the New Treasure City a try. From start to finish the staff were accommodating and polite, nothing was too much trouble. We had Banquet B and it was the most delicious fresh Chinese meal we’ve had in a long time. And trust me we love Chinese. The prawn toast melted in the mouth, as did the beef and chicken. The duck was crispy and delicious. Everyone throughly enjoyed their meal. Had dinner at the New Treasure City midweek (Wednesday) and it was very quiet on entering. Was greeted by the two ladies who used to run their business at Thornton some years ago and it was very popular venue both for the food and the atmosphere. Always made welcome and if anyone in the party had a celebration they would come out with maracas singing happy birthday which was a nice touch. However this visit was very subdued. No atmosphere and the two ladies just weren’t in their happy bubbly mood. Although they were polite and friendly something was missing. We chose our food and within a few minutes we were brought our starters which was very nice. After finishing the starter it felt like an afterthought when we were offered some prawn crackers. The main meals were really tasty and hot BUT we were disappointed in portion size, which they have obviously reduced in size.Two of the party chose from a set menu priced at £13.99 I had the same menu but chose a vegetarian mushroom curry as there was only one veggie option for the main which was veg curry. I chose a mushroom curry and although it was nice I felt they could have cut the mushrooms up to a more manageable size and not left whole. So to sum up it’s a lovely intimate venue. Lacks some atmosphere and although prices are favourable some of the portions of food were small. Shame it’s tucked away off the promenade,as I’m sure had it been in a more prominent position it wouldn’t have been so quiet as we witnessed this evening.

What can we say about this place, Its a gem, we had pre booked as we were on a visit for a couple of nights, we were greeting by very friendly and lovely staff, the food is beautiful best food we have had in a long time, but what made our night was the service we got from the staff dont think we have laughed so much they were great felt as though we had been going for years instead of it been our first visit, but definitely will be back next time we are on a visit.

Saturday night 8.30 and it was empty. We should have left then. It was all glup and ordered a pork dish it came as beef ,when I questioned it I was told it was pork , I know the difference. Won't be back.

Pop in for a meal you won’t be disappointed. We always visit when in blackpool and food has always been gorgeous. Staff always lovely and helpful . Trust me you won’t be disappointed with the special fried rice mmmmm the flavours are spot on . Was reading the reviews and saw how nearly all was 5* so we was staying at the grand Hotel and thought let's go Try it, we called up and got a table booked right away, and I must say this is one of the best Chinese in Blackpool I have had and would travel from Lincolnshire to go back her in the near future, the host was fantastic with the kids always making sure if the food wasn't to spicy for them, absolutely perfect, can't wait to go back..

Wow, absolutely excellent. Very rarely do you get such high quality food, generous size portions and at a very reasonable price. Add to that that the owners were super kind and attentive made it a fantastic evening. Can't waite to go back.
