100% recommend! Fantastic hotel and the staff went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. The team were very helpful from start to finish. Prior to our stay we were emailing back and forth regarding the breakfast ingredients due to my daughter having a milk allergy which they specifically catered for. The breakfast was lovely, the room were spotless and it was a decent size. The room had a tv, a fan, kettle, plenty of tea/coffee/sugar/biscuits, hairdryer, fridge ect. The hotel had parking which were a bonus as we found a lot of the other hotels didn’t have parking or it was at an extra cost. We would definitely stay here again! 😊

The Gurkha Blackpool is an absolute fantastic place to dine when in Blackpool. The staff are so friendly and welcoming have not had that reception in a long time. And after the drama we had with our hotel that night it was so nice to be treated with respect and kindness. Me and my partner were very impressed with the service

Has always had an excellant buffet at the Gurkha tonight. First class friendly service and freshly cooked tasty food with a wide choice of different foods. Been coming here a long time and always enjoyed and can’t wait to return!!

First time here in about 15 years, and the food was still good as was the service. Plenty of variety to choose from. A bit off the seafront so a lot more chilled and away from the chaos

Food is very medoicre. It's not a fabulous choice unless ya like curry, curry, spice, and more spice. All the starters are overcooked. Deserts may as well not bother, soggy, poor choice, and the ice cream out of the machine tasted chemically like cleaning fluid. Staff didn't appear to care when highlighted

Visited this location and whilst it was busy the food wasn’t up to standards. It is of cheap quality and poor standards. Staff are watching over you which is very off putting. The food presented is very mediocre and not worth the price that is being charged. Curries are same taste with small cubes of frozen chicken all identical in size and similarities. Chinese is lacking ethnicity and whilst I wish it all the best it’s not for me,

Called in without reserving a table and was lucky the friendly staff found us a table we got in at opening time so everything was fresh and hot lots of choice for £50 for 2 with drinks it's defo a cheap eat one of the top places in blackpool for casual dinning at a great family run restaurant

Staff was rude and just blanked us. The food was OK. It was Luke one. Received it once I complained. The managers just said well deal with it. I will never return to this establishment.

We have visited The Gurkha many many times over recent years. The food is consistently good, as it was on this occasion also. Unfortunately, staffing levels and service, have dropped off considerably. For example: Hod to physically get up and find someone to take a drinks order. Had to ask for water, it wasn't offered. A waiter could was unable to cork a bottle of wine and the diner had to do it themselves. Waiting on staff leaning accross the table instead of walking round Complacent and unnatentive attitude. More interested in getting as many people processed as possible. Felt completely rushed - had to be finished in 90 minutes. Experience was not pleasant or enjoyable. Would I recommend? Unfortunately not without some staff retraining. Sorry my 1st negative review on this restaurant.

Superb! I don't know what I was expecting never eaten there before but I'll be back soon spotless place and plenty of variety and tasty even a great choice of sweets I honestly can't fault the place give it a try if you like tasty spicey food

Excellent selection of tasty foods

First time here and pleasantly surprised. Good was a good with a good varied selection. Only one issue. There was a seafood dish in amongst the Chinese/thai section and the smell was not nice as don't like seafood or fish and it seemed out of place in the middle of the other dishes. The price was fair for food and drinks. Have not been to the hotel rooms but the restraint room was very nice and comfortable to sit in. The staff were very nice and friendly. Would recommend

DATE NIGHT First time we have been out for a meal and have not had anything to complain about, it was amazing! From messaging their website to book a table through to paying, the whole service was 100%. The food was delicious, fresh and always topped up. The drinks were reasonably priced, good and so refreshing, very pretty cocktails too! The whole team of staff were polite, smiley and couldn't do enough for you. We would definitely recommend 100% and cannot wait to return for our second visit, thanks again ☺️

One of the few places in blackpool I cannot fault, they have it so right. We visit regularly as we have a caravan in fleetwood and this place never fails. We always pre book our table and never had an issue. Friendly staff and great choice of food. one of my pet hates is dirty tables and plates. In here as soon as your plate is empty they take it away so its not left in front of you. Food is constantly being checked and topped up and food areas cleaned. Toilets are lovely and clean, always soap in the dispenser ( can't say that about a lot of other places ) it's a great place to relax and eat. There is a 90 minute time limit but we're in and out before we get to that. Great place, fab food, lovely staff, very clean. What's not to like. We visited the restaurant last night (16/4/24). All 6 of us loved everything about it. The food was excellent, the staff were very attentive, helpful and respectful, the ambience of the restaurant was perfect and the prices were very reasonable. Met up with friends who were staying here. They informed that the rooms were nice, comfortable; food and drinks were fairly priced. Big screens to watch football, etc.

We, a group of four Nepalese boys, visited Gurkha Buffet last night to experience authentic Nepalese cuisine with some Asian variations. We were warmly welcomed by the staff, and we would like to express our gratitude to the Nepalese brothers who kept us informed about the food. However, we were disappointed to find that some of the food trays were empty, and the Chowmein never made a reappearance. It is important for the administration to regularly check the quantity of food to ensure that customers have a satisfying dining experience. Sadly, some of the dishes felt unfresh, as if they were made the day before. Overall, we did not enjoy the food as much as we had hoped.Hope dai you will take this in action .We will come back again

I loved this Nepalese restaurant. The food is great, the prices are great and the staff are lovely. The small prayer wheels and little artifacts were a pleasure to look at.

We visited this restaurant whilst staying up in Blackpool for a short break. The selection of food was fantastic. There was a starters section, Chinese section, Indian section and a salad bar. There was also a fantastic selection of desserts. We visited here with our two young children, plenty of choice. Staff were very attentive at clearing the plates in between courses. My husband likes spicy/hot food and the lamb dish was perfect. I don’t like hot/spicy and there was plenty of choice for the rest of the family. We would highly recommend a visit here if coming to Blackpool - you wouldn’t be disappointed fabulous food and great value.

My friend and I visited this restaurant on Friday evening, whilst visiting Blackpool as part of a long weekend. The restaurant is a little out of town, on the south side (from a shore/pier perspective) so we took the tram from our hotel to the nearest stop, which was around a seven minute walk away. Upon arrival, I was unsure whether the gentleman who took my booking a week or so prior had taken the details correctly, as there seemed to be a little hesitance when I provided my name and booking time - thankfully, this was of no issue, and we seated within a minute or so. The food was very well cooked, probably the best I've had at any such establishment that follows a buffet style format - it was hot, seasoned and spiced well, and the dishes were replaced regularly, to ensure the food remained fresh. Personal highlights included the Chinese section, and the Gurkha Lamb Curry (very hot, but the meat was cooked perfectly!) There's a lot to choose from, across various different cuisines, and the dessert choice was great. Drinks were cold and reasonably priced, my friend tried one of the specialty 'Gurkha' lagers, and he really enjoyed it. Staff were both friendly and accommodating - plates were cleared from our table promptly, and the waiting time for any cutlery or drink service wasn't very long at all - the whole process was very efficient. Price wise, for what you're getting ( in terms of the quality of food and service) I would say it's very reasonable - with a discount applied (think this was a seasonal thing?) I believe it came to around £23.50 each (including the drinks) We would definitely recommend this restaurant, to both local residents and any visitors to the Blackpool area.

Have to say we both love this restaurant. Have been here before and will definitely be back, we have had this date booked a couple of months ago and have been really looking forward to our meal. We were not disappointed. Excellent value for money. The food is fantastic. The staff are all extremely friendly, polite and helpful. One of the staff members took our photo in front of the lovely Christmas tree. If your in Blackpool looking for somewhere to eat we highly recommend this restaurant. Stayed here with my partner for the weekend. Check in was a bit messy having to check in when there was a queue of people for the restaurant. Gets to our room and the window was broke so could hear the traffic. Although I did report this and it got sorted out. Bed was comfy. We didn’t try the food. (Should really be included) .Checked out around 10:30 no staff around to ask if we enjoyed our stay or not. If the food would be included in the price of the stay then when would of stayed here again. Sadly not.

Some dishes taste very similar but they are all good quality. The inside is very aged but adds character to the venue. There is lots of memorabilia which is interesting too look at and the staff are open to explaining the items.

only 2 night stay in Blackpool but found this place on google and pre booked for the 4 of us, first impressions were of a very nice very clean restaurant with well displayed covid floor markings. We were taken to our table and offered drinks and told how the all you can eat buffet worked, the choice of food was amazing all well cooked and presented, the chef served our food from behind a screen and offered advise when asked. having used many all you can eat type places i have to say this one is top of the list for me, pity i live in yorkshire so too far to visit often. premises, staff and food all outstanding and at under £70 for 4 people with drinks a bargain, well done guys

When in Blackpool and looking for something to eat this is the place to go. In these trying times it must be very hard for all the staff times having to adhere to strict covid guidelines. They do this and make it look easy so if you have any fears about dining out then the Ghurkha has all issues covered, The food is amazing , cooked fresh and is served to you by the professional staff( you can choose any dish and any quantity you like, the staff are very happy to help ) this has to be the best value for money for money buffet restaurant in Blackpool and I will go as far as to say Lancashire. Right, I’ll be straight up about this. Me and a friend went there yesterday for one pint, and there was no bar staff, so we couldn’t even get a pint, or even put a deposit down for a game of pool, nobody was even there it was literally just me and my friend in there, no staff. Do not recommend unless you want to feel forced to leave a pretty negative review.

Great buffet with loads of choice. As per previous reviews, there are screens over the food at the moment and staff behind the counters to serve you. They are not shy with the portions so make sure you are hungry when you go! Everything we ate was tasty, and the tables seemed quite well spaced out. The track and trace sign in sheet was in the entrance to the restaurant but staff didn't ask/remind us to fill it in so we almost missed it. Not sure how many other people would have missed it altogether.
