Great little place great little guy too that whips up some great various style dishes I always visit here and his prices are reasonable for this area and compared to others.! But his dishes are well in .! Give it a try you won’t be disappointed.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

My son was greeted with a big smile from the gentleman behind the counter. Very friendly, service with a smile. Our takeaway was delicious, my sons want me to change our regular Chinese takeaway (it was closed) to the Golden Sea. I’ll definitely return 😋

The worst Chinese in Blackpool!!! Couldn’t eat it, made me gip! greasy chips, the noodles tasted like washing up liquid? Came cold, chicken was dry and tasteless, The duck was basically scraps and burnt! Won’t be having this again!! The takeaway itself wasn’t clean at all either.

just ordered from here and was skeptical because of how good the prices were but it came within 15 minutes which is incredible and the food is really nice we got chicken curry egg fried rice, a bit on the spicy side for my liking but definitely recommend ! also we were able to half just one meal of them and there was still loads there even halfed!

Staff need training in customer service as this was poor, over charged pfor our order; the munchy box didn't have what was advisertised (missing several items after already messing food order) when taken back they made us pay extra to change and the staff were very confrontational. Only a 1 star because the food was okay.

For a start it is carryout. Called, 50 min delivery. Lukewarm when order arrived. Chicken chowmein, a king prawn curry, more like shrimp. Chicken fried rice, with minimal chicken, portion chips, a very dark glupy gravy and a curry sauce. £38.00 definitely not the best. We have used before and we found it acceptable. What went wrong?

Ordered boiled rice said you only had fried rice???? Probably because you had lots of boiled rice left from a previous day!! Ordered large spring roll and when i got it home I discovered 4 small reheated spring rolls instead. Plus he charged extra for the fried rice and for the small spring rolls. NEVER USE this place again!!

Don't order from Golden Sea. You only get half your order. When asked he said I don't understand. Than you have to wait another half an hour for the rest.

Not great. Curry is mostly onion. Chips are cheap frozen steak cut. Ribs were very dry. Gravy was good. Not very good value for money

Spend nearly £40 on food for a family of 4. The ribs I ordered in syrup came in nothing but a tray of greasy fat. I'm pregnant so needed to eat so tried the ribs and the fat just continued to drop of them. The chips were cold and very chewy, no-one ate any which normally my children will. The sweet and sour sauce with the chicken balls was also horrible. Definitely will not be eating here again.

Extremely expensive for what it is! 4.20 for salt and chilli chips!

We have never been here before and won’t be going again , the duck was supposed to be in plum sauce but as you can see was orange with terrible sauce , salt n pepper chicken worst I’ve evee had , shame as nice man serving /cooking

We have ordered a Chinese meal tonight ( New year's eve) to be delivered and it was absolutely delicious. We order from here quite regularly and it never disappoints. It was exceptional tonight and I would like to thank the staff for making our night enjoyable. 5 stars from us.

New people again but this time they're gold medallists. Chinese takeaways never seem to have the same people for very long and the quality fluctuates accordingly. In this one it's been no different from all the others around this area and at the moment this is by far the best and tastiest and I hope it stays that way. Spot on!

I called in here for the first time during lockdown as all the other local takeaways were either busy or online order only.The food was well cooked and tasty with plenty of prawns in my king prawn foo yung. Service was quick although, a word of warning, there was a two hour wait for deliveries as they were very busy. Takeaway is clean and has a 5 star health rating.I will be calling here again.

Terrible service but great food.Ordered a large munchies box for 2 people on the phone for collection. Communication was difficult and when I arrived I had been made a tiny box of just chicken and chips that's barely enough for one person. I specified on the phone its the large box, for 2 people to share. The staff didn't understand, even though the large munchies box is advertised in the shop. So I'm presuming you can only order this inside the shop. Very disappointed and didn't want to travel all the way back to order the correct food, we just ate soemthing else!Go in person and point to what you want to order on the menu or else it will be wrong. Maybe it's just one staff member that is like this, maybe the rest are OK. Just my experience.

Used to use this takeaway quite a lot and to be fair had some excellent meals, but stopped as the quality of food went down hill. I decided to give it another try last night. To say I was disappointed is an understatement. The crispy beef in chilli sauce which I remember being very good was terrible it was actually like leather and had absolutely no taste other than bitter chilli it really wasn't nice. my partner also had crispy beef in kung po sauce which was a lot better than mine. Another point I'd like to add is the price they charged me was well over the top. I know leather is expensive but come on guys, £28.50 for 2 poor quality main courses and some dried up deep fried tasteless chewy ribs is excessive. On the plus side they sent some free spring rolls which was probably the best part of the whole experience. Just a thought maybe don't overcharge your customers and concentrate on getting the food people actually want something close to edible, instead of the grand gesture of free spring rolls. If I was to order the same thing from a very closely situated rival it would have cost £18.30 and in my experience has always been extremely good. Just can't belive the place is still open if that's the best it can do. I'd like to say it was nice doing business with you but that would be a blatant lie!!!

First and last time ordering it was the worst Chinese I've ever had. chow mein was tasteless and the sauce in it was just like brown water.

I ordered on a Friday phone person wasn’t very jolly but ordered anyway very prompt delivery prawn crackers were stale and chicken dough balls ok quite greasy sauce ok spring rolls ok probably will try elsewhere next time

Although there are countless Chinese take away places in my area, the Golden Sea is always my first choice. The menu is varied and extensive, the food quality is excellent, the portions large, and delivery is always prompt, and usually well within the time quoted. I can only assume that some reviews posted here are older and refer to different management or chefs, as I've never had a problem in three years.

After odering and receiving our takeaway only to find part of it had not been delivered leaving part of my meal to be placed in the oven untill the rest was delivered totally spoiling the meal, my chicken balls came very under cooked very very doughy the sweet and sour sauce was disgusting too. The prices i found were very expensive as well. The guy in the shop was rood and very arrogant... will not be going back there at all far better shops around

my family and i stayed at the hilton hotel and ordered from here and are over the moon the workers, food and delivery was AMAZING. portion sizes are very big and worth every penny. would definitely recommend this place and would come again.

Good. Plenty of choice but spoilt for Chinese take aways in the area so all have to put quality over the counter.

Polite staff - avoid salt pepper chips, very soggy, tasteless, prawn crackers are nice, spring rolls are nice. Singapire noodles and hot sour soup, just awful.

Having to wait over 2 hours for delivery i would not reccomend this chinese anymore, its a shame really because they the food is nice, when phoning to dee where delivery is you end up speaking to a BOY who thinks its acceptable to speak to customers sarcastically, we used golden sea on a regular basis but can assure you we will NOT be using them again. I would advise golden sea to employ more staff that have a more people skills and employ more drivers on weekend nights when they are at a more peak times

Just ordered a takeaway from this place chicken and black bean sauce and king prawn and black bean sauce. After three phone calls to complain I took the food back in person. The food was disgusting. It was not freshly cooked and looked as if it had been stewing for days. The chef only refunded me for the chicken dish which we hadn't even tasted but refused to refund my money as I had eaten two of the disgusting prawns. Do not even consider having food from here it is rank!

I popped in for a small take away as I was a solo traveller and opted for the Crispy Chili Beef and a Chicken Chow Mein. Great portions and piping hot. I was also provided with eating utensils upon request. Whilst waiting, I noted the special boxes that they do and was blown away at the size and price of them - certainly worth considering if you are having a group meal or similar. Friendly staff and tasty grub...what more would you want from a take away?

Not sure what's happened to this place recently or if it's under new ownership, we've used it for years and never been disappointed until recently, the food we ordered was disgusting and inedible, rang to complain only to be told they would offer 10% off our next order, when i asked what about this order ??the owner put the phone down on me , poor customer service and awful food we threw £25 worth of food in the bin.Go elsewhere

I knew some one who worked in this takeaway a while back and was told by them that they use the same fryer to cook both meat and veg so if you are vegetarian don’t Order food from there... you will be eating something that I cooked in meaty oil

I have been a bit disappointed in chinese takeaway food in the past but I would say this is the best takeaway in this area. We always have the combination starter for two and you get just about everything in it. It's almost a meal in itself. What I like most about this takeaway is the sauces. They are very thick and authentic especially the sweet sauces. We have had quite a lot of takeaways from here now and never been disappointed.

A once great take-away is now appalling and deserted of customers. The last time was the worst; but in truth I haven't had a good meal there in a while, just went there out of habit. Sam the owner has been off ill for some time and his sister who now runs the place, has let it slip badly, her customer service skills are non existent. I have even had a pubic hair in my meal. When I telephoned to complain the phone was hung up on me, well after twenty-two years of being a customer, never again. The food is now so bad it makes me ill thinking of it. Put me of going to other Chinese restaurants for a while too.

Since the previous Chinese takeaway we used closed we have used Golden Sea. Its never let us down and is great value for money. I've even asked for food 'off menu' and they are pleased to accommodate... Overall a fantastic Chinese takeaway that I would highly recommend... 😁

I had a takeaway meal last Sat., July 16th 2017. It was for me and my family. One member of my family found a strange piece of plastic in their food....it was disgusting.. I would not go back here ever.

Possibly the worst Chinese I have ever had! My dog could of cooked a better Chinese than these so called "chefs" half an hour late on delivery, and my salt and pepper shredded "chicken" consisted of 0% chicken and 100% Batter, when I rang up to complain the cheeky sods had the cheek to put the phone down! Stay well clear of this place.

Went here to try out a recommendation from a friend the staff were very friendly and the premises looked clean. The food was delicious with generous portions I've been back since and the food was again great

This take away should be disgraced there was an order made and they knocked on the wrong address it was the address next door but when my daughters neighbour said sorry wrong address he got a kicking off the driver how disgusting hope justice is served

Este ha sido nuestro llevar chino favorito para cuantos años pero ya que los nuevos propietarios han tomado hace 18 meses o así la calidad ha mejorado muchísimo. La comida es deliciosa y preparado a los requisitos, caliente, y un montón de cosas.

We have used this takeaway on and off for the past 6 years, it's changed hands so slightly different now some good changes some bad. Delivery man is always very happy and always remembers us.

Service very good . Food boring ! Ever so plain no spice no flavour !! Chowmein was absolutely tasteless . Chilli chips salty as hell no spice deffinately no chilli !most places these are red or orange here they where white ! Same as the chicken wings so bad its untrue .. looking from the revues this place is sinking fast !!!!

Very poor service, rang to order a meal for delivery, was told an hour and a half waiting time. 2 hours later still no meal, rang back and was told another 45 mins!!! Won't be using again 😕

We ordered from this takeaway for the first time this evening following a positive review from a family member. At first we were impressed with the professional website & broad menu. We placed our order via phone and spoke with a lovely man who took our order & then advised us it would be 1 - 1 & a half hours. This was ok as we accepted it was a busy Saturday night. Food arrived after 1 hour by a very friendly and polite man. So far so good......until....THE FOOD. I ordered salt & pepper shredded chicken & fried rice. My partner ordered shredded chicken in Thai sauce & fried rice. Unfortunately the chicken in Thai sauce was nothing more than chicken in sweet & sour sauce which was disappointing. The salt & pepper chicken had never ever seen a chicken. It was just deep fried batter. There wasn't even the tiniest bit of chicken in one piece. I cut the majority of them in to bits to double check. It was also overlooked & almost impossible to chew. Unfortunately will not be ordering from here again even though the service was great.

Ive been using this takeaway for close to 10 years now, i ordered a takeaway this saturday, which i frequently do. I was told, and i fully understand Saturday is a busy time, it was going to be 1.5 hours. After nearly 2 hours i had to ring to ask where my food was, in the background i heard another half hour????? absolutly poor at best, then to make it worse the gent on the phone tried to convince me it was only goig to be 10-15 minutes. I was offered a 10% discount, which was all of £1.80, great thanks but no thanks. Ive now discovered there are many more takeaways that not only match this place for quality but are honest with their customers. Youre choice but this is unacceptable and i certainly wont be visiting this place again. ive spent litterally hundreds here, never again.

This takeaway has been taken over just about 8 months ago and to be fair, it has improved from the previous owners. The phone service is good, the food it always piping hot and the value is great. David the delivery driver always has a chat and visits our place a few times a year with a cheerful disposition. Definitely the only one to order from.

Tastes great they have an extensive menu and pending what you spend they throw in a few extras and deliver fast great Chinese

Since this has changed management the food has improved 10 fold and the staff there were always on their feet. I'm a waitor myself so I know how quick one needs to be in order to have a successful service.5*!

This was the first time we have tried here and it was horrible the sweet n sour tasted horrible and the the fried rice was so dry not mentioning there was just no flavour everything was so bland

Since we tried again, we found out the food have been better, I decide to walk in to shop to see what's happened. Then I find, they are under new management. No more screaming in the kitchen, no more over cooked food, no more triple fried chips.....All I want to say, one of the best chef in blackpool, better than last one who is talking a lot with boring things.....

First I think it's important to state this review is built with experience working as a Head Chef and hold Chartered Institute of Environmental Health L3 qualification so it's not just an ignorant review and I know it's a Chinese Takeaway but seriously I can tell the cooking here is made from scratch. The curry sauce has a slight apple taste in it... as it can! It must be made fresh daily as it's the best I've had. Not from a packet believe me!There is so much to choose from... if not a little too much however according to Chef most of it is popular! I recommend Beef Chow in thin noodle - wet. Chilli Chips (Lots of veg and not salty). Try the Curry Samosa and any of the squid dishes as it's scored as not to go rubbery! The food is better than most others and they are very good with cost. The delivery driver, the Yorkshire lad - the grumpy looking one with a broken gutter is one of the nicest fellers about and the young lass on the counter is lovely. A credit to the shop! I'd go on more but you'd think I was touting for a bag of free Chilli Chips... hint hint.In all serious now its worth a visit, all the best to you all 8)

I call in from work now and again. It's cheap and good quality. I normally have the same food and it's always the same, taste s good and good value for money.

i thought i would try golden sea one last time , and must say i was very glad i did ! after having burnt ribs , triple fried chips and crispy chicken which broke my teeth ( my dentist likes g s )in the past , it was a pleasent suprise to taste excellent food cooked properly , the new owners really know what they are doing ,excellent ps there the delivery is the most friendly pleasent person i have ever met and is always clean and smart , i felt sorry for him having to deliver sub standard food , now he is delivering the best food not only in blackpool but on the west coast , well worth a try .

I've had 8-10 takeaways from here in the last 6 years and some have been not so great but the last few have been excellent.The chili chips is still my highlight as the spicy chillis in the chips with the spices is very nice and even when I've not been too impressed with the main meal in past visits, it always hooks me and pulls me back for another order.Dim Sum platter is very good and plenty, you have to be careful otherwise you will over order way too much as the dim sum plus chili chips is bigger than a meal in itself!The sirloin in cantonese sauce was my most recent order and was really nice, perhaps a little too sweet on the sauce but thats being really picky. We also had the Thai Chili Special and that was a new one for us and again really nice.Staff have always been really pleasant with us, only niggles are delivery times which is why we often pick it up being pretty local to there as sometimes it's turned up a little overcooked or cold probably due to delivery time taken.

I will have to disagree with anyone who writes a bad review about this place. The food is amazing and the portions are generous. The staff were very friendly and delivery was very quick. My food always arrive quickly and is always piping hot. Great food, a great price and even better staff make this place one of the best take aways I have ever been to.

I've tried about 5/6 dishes on the menu whilst I've been up this way with work. All have been excellent and I've been a fan of chinese food for many years. The chilli beef was particularly good. The special chow mein contains lots of big chunks of veg and not too many noodles...a tasty dish I didn't have to feel so guilty about. I've seen the staff preparing their spring rolls whilst I'm waiting and that's a good sign, as lots of takeaways just buy them in pre-prepared. Prices are very good too.

We have been using this take away for over 3 years. They do get very busy, but delivery is usually quite quick. Food is of excellent quality, and is always piping hot.Its good value and decent sized portions.All round good place to visit.
