Okay, so I can't comment on the quality of the food because after waiting three hours for a delivery order to arrive Yummy House decided, after ignoring their phone for hours, to cancel my order. No-one to answer their phones, and no explanation.

Absolutely delicious food, one of the best takeaways in Bath. We order from Yummy House on a regular bases.

Awful. Placed the order, but no food ever arrived. Phoned them, but got no answer. Went to the address, but it's just an empty shell where a shop used to be, with nothing inside.

2 hours from placing our order to receiving a message to say our food has arrived… NO FOOD HAS ARRIVED. No answer from Yummy House when we tried to find out what was going on.. This restaurant seem to think it’s ok to take your money, then not bother delivering your food… Terrible service. I will never order from here again and would advise anyone reading this not to bother either.

I accidentally ordered from this place via JustEat. It was a truly terrible takeaway. Food was cold, sparse and totally inedible. Some of the ‘chicken’ was smelling of fish and appeared to be rotten. To add insult to injury it was a very expensive takeaway and in addition was delivered late - though, with hindsight, it might have been better if it had never arrived at all. All credit to JustEat - a full refund within 30 minutes of complaining.

I don't want to be a Karen but this is the some worst food I've ever eaten 😂 (or eaten a few bites of and then chucked away) The pho was just a bowl of wilted iceberg lettuce and the chewiest, stringiest steak I've ever had in my life, accompanied by a completely flavourless tub of 'broth'. Just brown water really... I ate about 2% of it before I gave up. The prawn one was also extremely bland. The starters were meh. The satay chicken would have been ok if they'd put any satay sauce on it... But they didn't! So it was just chicken on a stick. The driest ribs I've ever had, basically just a massive bone with black crust on it. The delivery service/communication was awful as well, at one point we started to question if the food was even going to arrive. Wish we had checked trip advisor before ordering- wouldn't have known it's the second worst restaurant in Bath as for some reason it has 4 stars on Uber Eats. It actually wouldn't let me post a review there... wonder why 😂 Save yourselves, go somewhere else.

2.5h from placing our order to getting our food. No answer from Yummy House when we tried to find out what was going on. The food was pretty average when it turned up- the standard Chinese takeaway dishes better than the Malaysian ones. My advice is to order elsewhere

I was a bit apprehensive of ordering after reading reviews on this site but thought I'd give it a go. I ordered via UberEats and the meal was delivered on time and was of good quality and plenty of it. I particularly liked the duck, but all the courses were nice. I'm now looking forward to lunch tomorrow when I shall finish it off.

For context this is a random Monday night in March. Not a post lockdown Saturday night where you’d expect these places would be busy. *The short version:* Ordered: 19:40 (ish) Initial ETA: 20:25 ETA: 20:50 Order cancelled and refunded: 21:45 Attempted unanswered calls: 88 *The full review: * I ordered at around 19:30 (via deliveroo), at the time it’s said delivery in 35-45 minutes. Once the order went through (and the money had left my account) the delivery time was issued as 20:50, not great but not the end of the world. At 21:10 having not seen any updates to my delivery time I thought I should check on it, as the ETA was now in the past and the restaurant had been ‘prepping’ my order for an hour and a half. Anyway. It’s 22:00 as I write this and having made 88 attempted calls to the restaurant (who’s phone line was constantly engaged) I’m sat here without a Chinese having not once been able to get hold of the restaurant. Thankfully after much conversation with Deliveroo help team, (who also repeatedly tried contacting the restaurant on my behalf) they eventually agreed to cancel the order and refund me. Needless to say that I won’t order from them again and I really hope no one else wastes their time either. I just wish 0 out of 5 was an option because that is where my satisfaction levels are.

Having ordered I had to wait 45 minutes AFTER the expected arrival time to receive my food. I requested an update on the Uber Eats app multiple times and received nothing other than "You're food may arrive shortly". I called the restaurant 3 times with no response. When I finally got through they waved away my complaint, claiming "The driver is 2 minutes away". When I finally received my food I had soggy, undercooked chips. I would strongly recommend you AVOID this place unless you have a desire to sit around waiting for food that makes you feel sickly.

We ordered for 4 and 3 were good, one was really bad an inedible. The chicken and prawn dishes were very nice, but the pork was just fat.

Wish we read the reviews before. Food was over 2 hours late and stone cold tried to heat up but was flavour less so decided to bin it. Customer service was appalling, delivery driver wasn’t wearing any PPE which especially during this time should be worn. Was given a refund only for the driver to turn up half an hour later after delivering food to ask for it back I told him it was in the bin and said he’s welcome to dig through the bin but he kept asking for the food I kept telling him then he walked away saying I’ll call my manager. So rude and food went in the bin quicker than it was cooked that’s for sure. So please AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!

Ownership may have changed recently as the menu is more varied with a lot of traditional south-east Asian dishes. Have ordered 3 times now and always been impressed. Penang Hokkien Mee had a really rich prawn soup, the Asam Laksa had a great combo of mackerel and pickled cucumber, for a UK takeaway these were really well done. Overall really solid, Malaysian dishes seems their best, well worth trying out.

When I phoned to order my food I spoke to a very polite guy, I asked for his name and I believe it was Jordan. He had great humour and was very well spoken and clear. He helped me with the menu, because some dishes were confusing but he was great help. Amazing customer service from him. Food was on time and my order was all correct and how I wanted it

Solo nombre.. No he visto ningún aceite, Chuleta de ternera Suey.. Carne de res gomosa más como goma de mascar, Zanahorias sólidas.. Salsa BBQ MUY aguada con poco / sin sabor a BBQ. Nunca más. Un montón de comida china muy buena para llevar en Bath, por favor úsalas en su lugar.

Pedí unos cuantos platos chinos. Recuerdo haber pedido comida de este lugar hace muchos años cuando era estudiante y fue realmente bueno. La comida fue entregada rápidamente y estaba caliente, un muy buen comienzo. Mi chow mein era sabroso, con mucha carne, no había problemas, pero la salsa de frijoles negros era acuosa y bastante sosa, el arroz frito era bueno. Esta fue la peor comida para llevar que he entregado. Pedimos un montón de platos que eran fríos, o apenas tibia en la entrega. La calidad de los platos era muy pobre. El arroz estaba hecha y sosa. El dim sum eran minúsculas, bastante pesado y sin sabor, los rollitos de primavera mini abundante y le faltaba eran parcelas pasteles plana, las gambas de Sesame en probado como si hubieran sido preparado con varios días de antelación, los platos principales eran generalmente insípida, y algunos estaban frías. Para darte un ejemplo el asado de cerdo con brotes de bambú y castañas de agua le faltaba brotes de bambú y las castañas de agua eran pasada y más preparado. Podría seguir, pero usted puede conseguir la esencia de lo que estoy diciendo. La comida para 4 de nosotros nos costó £64 y la mayoría de terminó en la papelera. Como comida para llevar china ve este lugar es bueno. Sólo tenía las costillas con miel y pollo arroz frito. Yo teléfono ordenados y recogidos. Estaba caliente y sabrosa.

Pedimos a entregar comida para llevar y aunque llegamos antes de la hora de llegada lo antes posible, que estaba bien en esta ocasión, tuve de gambas y hongos y mi novio de carne triturada en algo. Cuando he ordenado de otros, las gambas son normalmente muy sabroso, pero aquí toda la comida estaba tibio, no caliente, y para ser sincero no gusto mucho de lo que fue decepcionante. . Me pareció que el. y huevo frito arroz sabor extraño. Estábamos pasando unos días, en la bañera, así no usar su comida para llevar de nuevo, pero sin duda no era el mejor que he probado. Our usual takeaway of choice is the Hong Kong Chef in Larkhall because it's close and good.Telephoned them to order last evening only to discover they were closed for 2 weeks. Getting hungry so picked Yummy House at random and telephoned an order for delivery. Only then did I take the time to check the recent TA reviews. Oh dear! We had obviously made a big mistake and we waited for what was obviously going to be an unpleasant experience. 45 minutes later we had the very pleasant surprise of receiving a delivery of excellent chinese food. We had a range of dishes. Crispy beef, s&s chicken, duck & pineapple, thai curry, special chow mein, chicken & satay sauce and a couple of others.The crispy spring rolls were really nice but I prefer the great big logs that the HK Chef provides. Dim sum was nice but a tiny portion for 5 pounds. The chips from chinese takeaways are usually good but I must say that the 2 portions we had last night were some of the crispest and tastiest chips I've ever eaten. In retrospect, I should have taken a photo when we had all the food laid out to eat, Lots of bright colours from peppers, mange tout, red chilli, etc and big chunks of duck, chicken, pork etc. rather than the tiny slivers that are often served. I'll finish now, I'm making myself hungry!

I think it changed hands recently (late 2015?) and after 8 years of good food it's now HORRIBLE :/ As a couple of others have said - it's all now greasy and pretty disgusting. Case in point - Satay Udang (prawns) - previoulsy battered with a nice thick peanut sauce garnished with cucumber - tonight we recieved a gloopy tasteless sauce with a thick layer of oil on the top, in which were floating skewers of almost raw boiled prawns... Noodles also covered in a thick oily sauce making them slimy and bland.. To add insult to injury the guy on the phone admitted that he didn't know the menu or have a copy of it to hand so I had to spell out what we wanted. Wouldn't even order from them as a last resort.

It went into the bin u edible , never will I order from you again I have already stopped 2 orders coming through to you this eve. They asked me what I thought so I told them. You can't put that much salt into a meal unless you are trying to hide something else. NASTY JUST NASTY.

It was okay duck chow me in was lovely. Wasn't very happy with my order took a while to deliver. All the BBQ sauce leaked in the bag but we were given the order anyway. Apart from that food was okay not the best Chinese

Wonderful high quality Chinese food with a real authentic taste! Food preperation time was exact and had no trouble collecting my order! I will come back here again to try out the rest of your menu :)

For a high priced meal, you would expect a restaurant to take care in checking the order before it leaves to be delivered. However, 2 items were missing, and one dish was wrong. When JustEat tried to contact the restaurant, they wouldn't answer the phone. Also appalled to see this restaurant only have 2 stars Food Hygiene rating. After using for over a year, we won't be going back again.

I ordered from here before I had seen its bad reputation. Whilst the delivery was quick, the food was soaked in grease and oil. My noodles were literally dripping, it was disgusting. I had one mouthful and all I could taste was grease and onion. Whilst I can see some reviewers are upset but negative reviews, I hate to give bad reviews but I do have to be honest about this place. The food is inedible.

Food was lovely once it arrived , but it took nearly an hour to turn up and the delivery driver gave us the excuse that he had no battery on his phone so didn't know where he was going. All in all it took 4 phone calls to get the food and in the end we refused to pay the delivery charge. Can't fault the food at all , it just should have been a whole lot simpler and quicker!

Crispy aromatic duck - duck was so dry and in mostly tinyl bits , had lost almost all moisture . Plum sauce - could taste almost nothing but salt . Very disappointing .

Curry sauce was not a classic thick tasty sauce I would expect it was watery and tasteless so a little disappointing under average. Rice was clearly reheated and old gross. Salt and pepper squid however was the only fresh enjoyable item..

This takeaway is the epitome of truly awful. Whilst service was quick considering the extensive menu, the quality of food was abysmal. After opening the containers, we demanded a full refund, which took an absolute age to negotiate with a rude telephone operator and which took ages to arrive. This is one to avoid unless absolutely desperate!

1st mouthful of special omlette probably had more salt in it than my entire day's RDA - for no obvious reason ; you don't taste the omlette or the ingredients..just loaded with salt. Chips don't taste of potato but whatever unidentifiable they have been fried in. Worth researching on-line just what is used to fry chips in these days ; they're nothing like a traditional chip - shop in flavour or their ingredients....these were plentiful but tasted pretty awful. Plus £1.50 delivery fee ( local ) and as usual £0.50 card fee. On this one basis could not recommend

Delivery was 35 minutes after the time it should have been. When I called the restaurant I was told it was on it's way before I'd even really told them the problem or my address. Most of the food arrived cold and with no apology from the driver.

All the food was vinegary. Didn't get the drink we ordered and one dish wasn't right.

Everything was great, except I got Chicken Chow Mein instead of the King Prawn (which I had ordered). I didn't send it back, as I was starving when it came. It was very nice though. It won't stop me ordering from Yummy House. I have been going to them for years and they have been wonderful all this time.

Awful service waited over hour and half for food. Weren't told about long wait or that they were busy. Called them they said the driver would call who didn't. Told them we wanted discount when eventually it came it was horrible chips were cold food was all spilt in box. Salty and tasteless! No discount either or apology. Probably the worst takeaway I'm bath. Would defiantly recommend no one to eat here.

My favourite chinese in Bath, the food is always delicious and never too greasy like other places can be. Delivery time is sometimes longer than it should be, and on a couple of occasions parts of the order have been forgotten, but with food this good it's worth it.

The flavours were good but the meat is shocking bad quality. I would avoid.

Disgusting. I received free chicken wings that I had to pay £10 to get, spending £13 in total and when they arrived they were covered in hair. Was told I could get a refund as they were free even though the food I paid for was made in the same unhygienic environment. Awful. Do not order from them. Expensive food, had to pay for delivery AND I couldn't even eat any of it.
