Yummies in Hertsmere

When I come from the States to visit my sister I always stop here to get treats. The food is fabulous and I have never been disappointed!

Yummies chollas, rye bread and bagels are home made [like most of the food on offer] which give an extra edge on the competition.

Went in today to get sandwiches and they were screaming at 2 oap for not wearing musks. They tried to explain these are exempt to no avail. Even Wem ladies kept they went on and on about it with a ship full of customers. Who nearly half walked out with me. Went next door much more calm. Avoid this place as so rude and overpriced

Food is always fresh and well packaged and the shop is laid out very well. Deliveries on time and nice food to look forward to while being stuck at home due to pandemic.

Completely astounded at how rude the staff are here. They show little respect to eachother let alone me, the paying customer. Each staff member appeared overwhelmed and blunt. I asked for a portion of fish balls (as on the menu written above the counter it has a set amount), to be told there isn’t any portions and to decide what I want!!!?! I was ushered to the next lady at the kiosk, who did not interact with me and instead turned to her colleague and said ‘who’s this for!?’ (My fish balls).... why not just ask me if they are mine? The lady beside me asked for a selection of pastry as she smiled saying ‘I’m having some friends over so could I have a selection please’... the woman serving her said ‘HOW MANY?’, to which this poor lady, clearly shocked by the abrupt response said ‘Urm, well It’s nothing big so 4 should be plenty.’ The server then said ‘well that’s not a selection is it?!’..... WHAT, this is a paying customer... appalled, shocked and clearly incompetent at communicating! It’s a shame, because the staff seem to be very friendly to ‘known’ faces, and unfortunately my family go in here lots, but I had not, so clearly received the true customer service provided. Fair to say neither me, nor my family will be returning to such unnecessarily rude people.

i know my title is rather unusual but when in isolation and unable to get on line shopping . Yummies came to the rescue and delivered to us . Thanks

Had to wait so long to be served both for mains and coffee which when came was not up to standard .Very unfriendly and not worth the money we paid .

It's been a while since I've been here but what a let down this time Bought a few things for Chanukah but not very good and exceptionally expensive. Service also surprisingly poor. First, the smoked salmon was not traditional dry smoked and turned out to be the tasteless wet salmon you can get in supermarkets for half the price. Second, bought some cheesecake for a treat. Not sure what it was but it wasn't cheesecake and had to be thrown Fish balls/New green - good Overall - very expensive. Shame. Was really good last time.

Food was average but possibly I was put off by the uncleanliness of the place. I had the misfortune to use the toilet which was equally appalling... really dirty restaurant ... definitely would not eat there again.

So everything is delicious. My top favourites are their fish goujons, egg and onion and challah bread. Hope it stays in Radlett forever. Had to update... large latkas are now my favourite and god bless the chef who makes them. My kids and I couldn’t get enough. Heated in the oven at home. They’re just food heaven.

Had lunch here and paid the extra premium to 'eat in' on one of their few basic tables. It's an expensive deli, everyone knows that, but to also be charged an additional 10% service for somebody to walk four feet from the deli counter to bring a sandwich and coffee is taking the p*ss. I did offer for them to also pull my pants down in front of everyone.

Good food and well worth a visit and would recommend it to all my friends and colleges . Visit it quite often.

Another amazing lunch at Yummies served by the lovely "Sasha". Sasha always makes us feel so welcome and introduces us to wonderful new creations of delightful dishes of which I might not have considered without her smiling enthusiastic approach! All of the food I've tasted has been the very best of it's class, the wide variety of Bagels and Specialty Breads, the Herrings are the best I've had, and the homemade Taramasalata is difficult to avoid! If you are looking for the perfect Breakfast,Lunch or Dinner venue, look no further as Yummies has it all. See you again tomorrow guys! Jack.

Omg. Chicken soup, latkas and all deli stuff to die for, the best smoked salmon by miles, take Way or eat it, make sure your hungry HUGE portions

We go to Yummies all the time. We are always served with a smile, the food is great, and there is a really homely atmosphere. A real asset to Mill Hill.

Yummies is a well run deli on Mill Hill Broadway. Nice helpful and friendly staff.

We have been customers on a regular basis for years. Their quality is by far the best in the area. The Rye bread and rye bagels are the best we have ever tasted.

My husband has been buying the smoked salmon and cream cheese bagels there for some time - he enjoys them. Today I bought 2 and was charged £8.50. I pointed out that on the price blackboard the price of this bagel to take away was £4.00 so I queried the total charge thinking it should be £8. I was told rather offhandedly that the price on the blackboard was incorrect!

This deli/bakery specialises in traditional Jewish style light meals and snacks. High quality deli items with excellent smoked salmon. Try their smoked cods roe

I wouldn't recommend Yummies on account of the rude staff. The staff were inattentive and very ill mannered. Did not enjoy my visit to Yummies and would not return. Food expensive and just about average , and service charge added on top. This is not a restaurant it’s deli with a few tables and chairs

I’ve eaten food from a lot of Jewish Deli’s & this one is right up with the best of them for quality of food, friendliness of the staff, knowledge of the product & a great buzz whilst your in the establishment.

The original shop is in Radlett and there is now also one in Mill Hill. Fantastic bagels, salads, salt beef, latkes and more.

I recently required a small buffet at very short notice. Yummies provided just what I needed in a very short space of time. Excellent food and a wonderful service would definitely use again

We love this place for deli food. Great smoked salmon, chopped liver, salad selection and chicken soup. Can’t really fault it. Would be good if the fish balls were warm and soft but that’s a personal preference.

Yummies is a very popular stop with the many local cyclists. The welcome is always warm and the smoked salmon bagels are excellent. A great range of deli foods too.

The service and quality of food is outstanding. It is not kosher but has many Jewish inspired dishes. Would highly recommend.

Get all the usual favourites here albeit quite expensive. But these days where isn’t. Bagels nice but pricy.

Always visit here when in the area and always go for the hot salt beef sandwich which is consistently good. Lovely friendly staff. Cant wait for my next visit to Yummies!

if you want amazing salt beef sandwichws, cheese cake infact any of their food it is scrum. the layout of the place is simple. but we dont go for the decor. the girls that serve there are lovely and do their job well. its not cheap but well worth it.

Usually buy bread and bagels here (they are the best in the area!!) but it's just as good if you want a quick lunch, with a wide variety of food on offer ... the chicken soup is particularly yummy! Can get busy but worth the wait!

A good place for smoked salmon and deli food. The on site bakery is delicious. You can eat in for breakfast or lunch cafe style. Worth a visit

Brought the rainbow bagels, Staff were friendly and bagels where great. Next time we get the bagel hungies I will definitely go there again.

We visit Yummies every Saturday for our lunch, the staff are great and there is a great choice of food. Our favourites are smoked salmon and scrambled eggs, taramaslata, pitta and Israeli salad, the choice is endless and they also make all their own bread so bagels are fresh every day.Love this place

Nice rolls etc but the staff are short, rude and generally have an over inflated opinion of themselves, g-d forbid they could smile once and a while! Also the smell of smokers from the pavement seats they have is disgusting as the shop front is wide open. Finally, £2.50 for a creamcheese bagel...really?!?

I've been shopping at Yummies for many years, Although the proprietors have changed, it still is the quintessential delicatessen.Food is cooked on site and they now serve drinks and snacks to eat on the premises.

I went to buy the rainbow bagels. The staff were friendly. The bagels are fun and a good talking point for guest.

This is a nice place to stop for a quick bit to eat, the selection is not big, but all the food is freshly prepared and good value, staff friendly and service good.

This is great for breakfast and a quick snack. The scrambled eggs with smoked salmon is exceptional. The young man with a pony tail who served me was delightful and so entertaining. He was so helpful and most accommodating especially as I am very fussy about my Expresso coffee. This is also very good for colour full bagels!!

Stopped by yesterday to pick up a load of Jewish Soul Food.Some of the best bagels and challahs in London. The greatest chicken soup for take away, if I haven't got time to make my own. Great chopped liver, fish balls and......divine mini latkes.Terrific staff, who are always so helpful can't do enough for you - even carrying heavy bags out to the car. Can't recommend highly enough!

We bought a large variety of deli items as we had friends for lunch. We were embarrassed as the food was average at best and almost uneatable at worst.The egg mayonnaise was tasteless and inedible, the fish balls were unpleasant tasting, the strudel and lokshen pudding was over sweet and the chopped herring was too sweet and the fish goujons were worse than Tesco. Our friends were polite but left almost everything on their plates. We were also oversold on quantity. It was also very expensive. Go to somewhere else. We will never return.

Having experienced less than good sandwiches elsewhere at last a really good roast beef sandwich. Moist and with fresh bread a real step above other local casual dining that I have experienced. Other items are good also and service is very friendly.

Been a few times before but always pop in when in desperate need for a Salt Beef Bagel. Not of Brick Lane quality (or quantity) but a good stop gap in the depths of HertfordshireService can sometime be a bit dismissive and on one occasion a bit 'dippy' and there are only a couple of tables for eating-in which can be a bit too 'cosy'PS Didn't have delicious choc/vanilla cheesecake this time so took some florentines back with me. Yummy

If you don't see what you want just ask. They may be able to serve you what you want.Arrived for breakfast and, as far as I could see, there is no breakfast menu. Asked for smoked salmon and lightly cooked scrambled eggs. No problems and the meal was very good.Lots of stuff to take away and for people like me who don't know very much about Jewish food they offer you advice about what goes together.I hope I'm going to be in Radlett on a Sunday so that I can have a nicee slow breakfast whilst reading a newspaper.Give the place a try.

Have been here before and always enjoyed the food and coffee, which is why I thought it would be a good idea to grab a coffee and cheesecake to take away for a quick but delicious hit of caffein. I did get my coffee which was just spot on, but once I was in the shop I could not resist the Saltbeef Baigle, and Florentines. And the staff are so lovely, chatting while waiting she kindly threw in a bag of donuts for my kids. Out I walked, minus the cheesecake, but the rest was so delicious, yet again, I wish we had one closeer to home. Great great deli and Baigels are just sooooooo good, will visit whenever in the area even if I manage only a take-out.

Friend of mine grabbed us some lunch and what a delight! Delicious fresh smoke salmon and cream cheese bagels. The didn't scrip on the fillings either, the fish balls were good but still didn't beat B&K fish balls

On the way home from St Albans we stopped here to purchase some bagels (onion, plain, wholemeal and black) and to have a coffee and a Danish. This is a lovely Deli with seating as they serve lovely sandwiches, soups, fish, meat etc plus assorted salads and lovely breads and cakes, all made on the premises. The Danish were so nice that I also took home a box of assorted mini ones. There is no toilet, although the owner said there is one in the basement where the bakery is. You could go across the road to Costa Coffee and use their toilet if one was desperate. I have had chicken soup there before and it was delicious. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

Had lunch in here yesterday and it was super - salt beef was amazing as usual - daughter had chicken soup for which we all wnated so next time salt beef bagel and soup.Very busy so this means a lot as it is well worth it -Will come again ! :)

At the last minute I decided to host a family lunch for about 30 people and ten little ones . Contacted a few local delis , Yummies were the most obliging and responded very quickly . Everything was delivered as ordered on Saturday lunchtime , the deli food and salmon was great, well presented , the sun shone , the garden looked great, we all had a good time . Thank you yummies .

This is a real deli offering UK Jewish style food. No frills but good quality, large portions and friendly staff. Its the sort of place you can go every day and be known. Good value and consistent. Baked on the premises bread is the star.

Went in last Thursday for lunch with a friend for lunch. Food for thought was the unclean looking environment. Food was expensive and not great, service was dire as staff are more interested in there mobile phones that serving customers, Would not go back

We love yummies, whats not to like? Good jewish food, in a cafe and to take away. Yes its a tad expensive but isn't everything in Radlett? And to be honest, they give you good sized portions of very good food! This isn't a 5* restaurant but they are not trying to be. And i've been just for a coffee with no problems! Without a doubt, one of the best places to grab lunch in radlett.

Yummies is a very useful local take away deli catering mainly for Jewish customers who come back time after time for more. This is not the place to have a cup of coffee but the food to take out is wonderful and very tasty . It's not cheap but the staff are very helpful The bagels and breads are a treat and the food is amazing. So if you are looking to try a jewish style deli meal, look no further

True to its word - very 'yummy' food but so over-priced that it takes away from the food. Bread, coleslaw, chicken soup etc all yummy.
