Yum Yums in Denbighshire

I recently purchased a takeaway pork roll from Yum Yums, and instantly regretted it. The pork was basically a slab of fat, the apple sauce had made the bread sloppy, the onions were pure grease, and the stuffing was a disgusting gloop. I wouldn't have minded if the roll was a couple of pounds from a burger van, but it wasn't cheap from Yum Yums! Would add some photos, but was not thinking and it went straight in the bin!

Great food, Great drinks, great Atmosphere, its a little small but great with really friendly staff,even on a sunday lunch time, PLEASE NOTE, whilst the burger with cheese and onions is lovely it comes without chips as would be the norm, its a great burger though and very big too, lovely cafe, not the largest selection of food, but the food they sell is excellent, they have free wifi too, would definately visit again, the only downside was the music was a little loud

Called into Yum Yums having completed the 3-Peaks Challenge ending at Snowdon. (22h 33m if you're interested, smashed it!!) We ordered a number of different baps and breakfasts between us. The service was quick. The food was good, fresh, tasty and hot while the tea was very welcome. One of the party ordered the big breakfast. When it arrived... wow, huge!!. One of the team commented he hadn't realised it was a 4-Peak Challenge. Prices were very reasonable. I will call by at the next opportunity and recommend you do to.

Wow what an experience We just completed a charity walk up Snowden for together for short lives raising a lot of money. We dropped into yum Yums after order a chip shop from Harry’s across the road and whilst they were preparing the food we dropped in for a drink and we will never forget it. The bar man was chatty and made us so welcome and after we explained what we had done he donated to our charity and allowed us to use the toilet. We were made so welcome and if we are ever passing through again we will be visiting again. Thank you to the chatting welcoming bar man and an amazing village who in total gave us 3 donations for our charity. Amazing people and two amazing businesses Emma, sue, Emma and Tor

Nice plain no nonsense cafe, very dog friendly, have mine a sausage when we arrived. Did and drinks good. Friendly staff. Only thing I'd say is someone could have told us you have to go next door to the take away to get menu and order food. We did feel a bit like lemons sitting there for a while. The staff had spoken to us about the dog but didn't mention ordering process. Would recommend

I always like to write a review for a business that goes out it’s way for you. We called in during a short stop off from a Llangollen train trip. We asked for oat milk to be used in one of our coffees and my grandsons milkshake. The lady at the counter said that they had none but before we could blink an eye, one of their team shot across the road to a local shop, purchased a carton and sorted our order in no time. We did not ask them to do this, it was just the fact that they could not do enough for us. The coffees were excellent but the customer service was so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. All I can say is that if you pass through Corwen or stop off on one of the train trips, call in to this place, you won’t be disappointed. Thanks for taking care of us 👍🏻

My daughter and I had a delightful visit to Yum Yums in Corwen on Wednesday, 3rd August. We indulged in an all-day breakfast and treated ourselves to a couple of hot drinks. The food was scrumptious, and the warm, inviting atmosphere made our experience even more enjoyable. This marked our second time visiting Yum Yums (we came last summer too), and we look forward to making it a tradition whenever we stay in Carrog with Dtaffs DA. Highly recommended for a satisfying and pleasant dining experience!

Great find, build your own breakfast, friendly staff, breakfast cooked as requested, great atmosphere.

Really good place after a trip n the Llangollen Railway to the new station just behind this cafe. The staff were absolutely delightful, the food and drink were really good. Baguettes were exceptional with a very good level of content. Sat outside as it was a super day and everything was brought out to us. Perfect.

We had spotted Yum Yums earlier on our trip and it looked popular. We went for our lunch there and it was scrumptious. It's an interesting place with portrait drawings of music groups on the walls, a bass guitar and it looks as though the place has live music in there. There was a bar selling alcohol and a part that sold ice creams. We had sausage, egg and chips which was tasty washed down with a cup of tea. Very good value for money.

Super friendly staff and excellent value. Could not fault the service and we were very happy with our meals. We ate there 3 times during our stay in Salford.

So welcoming, friendly and chatty. Succulent early morning sandwich and coffee. Upon my return and saturated to the skin more hot coffee and a place to dry off.

Got there just after 1 pm when the person in charge ( Owner ? Manager ? ) announced that they were going to stop serving food ... just drinks and Ice-Cream . If they can't be bothered to serve people , I won't bother trying there again.

Great for breakfast. Fab ice creams. Outside seating in the sunshine, people watching with coffee. Perfect Sunday morning...

Drawn in by the Lavazza sign but disappointed by the coffee - it was weak and tasted more like instant coffee than a proper coffee.

If you like a fabulous host, great service and want a chilled out and happy HAPPY atmosphere then this place is a gem, and helped make my brief stay in Corwen with my mrs a memorable one for all this right reasons. Great people great service great atmosphere! Couldn't have asked for more (I don't usually leave reviews either btw)

Awful service, lady in the kitchen was rude and dismissive. Almost appeared as if us asking for a sandwich at a sandwich shop was absurd!

I go to Yum Yums for lunch with a friend or for a coffee. I also get a sandwich and a coffee on my way home after staying at my van. Staff amazing. Charlotte and Chris the owner give fantastic service. Ed the owner always friendly and they are like family. Good staff team. Food megga and excellent value. Get your selves there. Maz

Saw this place in our way through Corwen and stopped - to be honest for the advertised pancakes. Unfortunately late on a Sunday afternoon is too late, so they must be popular. We were still hungry so opted for cheese & ham panini instead. It was a great alternative with tasty cheese & not-processed ham. . Covid precautions were up to scratch and the service was fast and politeCan’t go wrong here for a quick bite

Late gave two different times and overran on both but when it did eventually arrive was lovely although appollagised for delay

Great place that we spotted from the car on the way home from a recent trip to Wales. Lovely friendly and accommodating staff who were happy to do us bacon and pancakes that were not on their menu. Great selection on the menu to choose from, but we’d been on a pancake hunt that day so it was excellent to find Yum Yums! The place is open til late too with a bar, and I got a great vibe so think an evening visit would be fun. Only thing preventing a 5/5 score was the loo, which was clean but not exactly customer focused. But it doesn’t put me off going back!

Stopped by with my granddaughter who was desperate for the toilet. Lovely place, really friendly staff, immaculate and definitely a hidden gem.

Called in while we were passing, we have never been there before. Excellent food, price and portion, and very pleasant staff. Clean toilets and free wi-fi.

We had a lovely ice cream sat outside Yum Yums, a little gem. The menu choices looked amazing and we'll give it a go the next time we are passing through.

Really pleased to find this place open on day 1 of outdoor cafes in Wales today. Ideal for sitting outside under cover and watching things go by. Friendly staff and regulars. Lovely coffee and panini. Would be very happy to return.

We called into Yum Yuma whilst travelling through Wales for some breakfast.Didn’t want a full breakfast just a quick bite.Staff were very welcoming and happy to answer us Aussies silly questions.My sausage sandwich was very nice as were other meals.Not 5 star but still a great place to visit.

called in on route for home. very cheerful young lady but oh dear manageress looked as though we'd asked for a bacon butty in a synagogue. very restricted menu,cash only and the bill total was subject to intense debate. one of those basil fawlty "we want your dosh but have no intention of providing a pleasant service in return" moments. food slightly on a par with very basic pub grub. . happily a return visit is not likely

We stopped after a long journey and wanted a simple, quick coffee and sandwich. After I had ordered we sat outside and waited and waited - until a cheerful lady brought out one coffee and then a few minutes later another one. Both were undrinkable. The best that can be said is that they were warm and a pale beige colour - perhaps the worst coffee I have ever tasted. Eventuality a plate with two pale tuna mayonnaise sandwiches arrived and my basic bacon and sausage bap. The tuna/mayo was grey and tasted as if the cheapest tuna hadn't been drained of its water before the mayo was mixed. My sausages were so cheap that I could taste the rusk rather than any kind of meat. Everything was awful and what made it worse were the people around the cafe. Honestly, they looked like extras from the TV show League of Gentlemen. I have never seen so many bizarre sights in one place. Never, never again will I ever stop in Corwen. It is an example of giving customers the worst quality food as possible and knowing they won't complain but will accept it as the norm.

A quick stop off for lunch on our way through to Llandudno turned into a holiday hi-light Great choice of food and super friendly staff.Both staff and locals dressed up in 1960's outfits and a local chap playing a guitar and mouth-organ.Our young granddaughters loved the outside 60's photo-booth and the chimps tea-party.Thank you Yum Yum's. called in today on our second visit. We had missed the cafe for food but still had ice cream and drinks. We were made to feel very welcomed by the staff and locals. The kids loved it in here, it was very relaxed and had a friendly atmosphere. We will be back.

Attended today and I have to say I was impressed. Very welcoming and great service. A quirky cultural decorated setting with a highly traditional feel. Staff are very friendly and the regulars are welcoming. Quick service and a very rustic feel. Will pop in again. Thank u jana :-)

Travelling through North Wales we found that Llangollen was very busy so stopped in Corwen, a few miles further on. Yum Yums is in a prime position in the main square and has a garish, eye-catching facade. Ordered a couple of coffees, a toasted teacake and a bacon bun. Not a smile was offered, not a word said as each item was brought. The coffee was weak and watery, the toasted teacake OK and the bacon bun had nice bacon and a rather ordinary bun. Used the toilet afterwards; clean enough but reached via a cluttered, untidy storeroom.Prices reasonable. All in all not an enjoyable coffee stop.experience

Whilst visiting Corwen we went here for a coffee, seating outside in the glorious sunshine, waitress service, a very nice coffee.

Arrived in corwen decided to have a bite to eat food was exceptable but the service we received was so poor my partner just wanted to up and walk out shame as we are here for two weeks . but will definitely not visit here again. #

We popped into Yum Yums during a stop off from the Llangollen railway. Very friendly staff, good prices and they even welcomed our two well behaved dogs. In a small village with many choices of cafes, you really can’t go wrong with Yum Yums!

Riding through to Holyhead, it was raining all day and we were soaked through but Hayley and Charlotte made us loads of coffee and tea to warm us up. Was that good we stopped on the way back four days later and had a real feast. Great food, good service and banter, a must stop in Wales!

Hayley and charlotte are amazing. Overwelmed by orders from us but they smashed it. Lovely grub. Always stop here.

I come here a lot ,very friendly cafe that serves good coffee and food . It's dog friendly and has wi fi. I would recommend it to anyone

My wife and I regularly stop at Yum Yums when we are passing through Corwen. The staff are friendly and welcoming. They do Great tea and coffee. There are a good selection of snacks and meals which are always freshly made. You can sit inside but it's nice, weather permitting, to sit outside and watch the world go by.

Popped in here on way to Vrnwy for a pit stop. We only ordered coffee and hot chocolate but it was lovely... better than the usual coffee shop drinks. Staff were lovely and the food looked amazing....looking forward to my next trip to Wales... will call in for lunch.

A delightful little cafe serving wonderful homemade food and in large plentiful portions.

It was like I'd gone back to the 1960's when I pulled my credit card out. Cash only!!! It would have been acceptable if the service and food were okay, but they lacked anything.

Lovely big breakfast really tasty, for a good price and fast delivery as we where on a rush to go hiking nice service too..

Paramos en Yum Yuma combustible antes de un largo viaje de vuelta a Buckinghamshire. Entre nosotros pedimos desayunos, panecillos, tortitas y hamburguesas con muchas diferentes bebidas. Jana Cocina tomó nuestra orden sin problemas y fue muy amable. Todo llegó rápidamente, bien cocinada y caliente y disfrutamos de los siete. Muy agradable.

Visitamos en el Lllangollen Corwen Corwen a vapor y trenes de los dos cafés que estaban abiertas éste era el mejor.

Que entrara aquí a menudo para el desayuno. Es un precio razonable y te dan un buen desayuno sólido. También tienen una variedad de otras cosas y gran tarta.

Yo vivo cerca y había oído que era un buen lugar para comer un bocado. Llevé a mi coche para un lavado y planchado y probarlo. . . No me decepcionó. . . Servicio con una sonrisa y una gran cerveza y una tarta de tocino barm. Se dio en el clavo y el servicio era bueno con una sonrisa. Sin duda llamar de nuevo. . . . merece una visita!

Trabajando en Corwen. . Constructores trabajador necesita. Su grub! El desayuno durante todo el día justo en el clavo. Un sitio estupendo, el personal muy amable, eficiente y atento. La comida se sirve rapidamente y todo bien caliente. Tienen wifi gratis también así llamada, tomar algunos se mofan y respuesta adecuada todos aquellos correos electrónicos que ayer debería haber cuadrado de distancia! ! !

Personal son maravillosamente agradable. Gran variedad de comida y café era perfecto. Era el sol así ventaja sentamos y empapamos el sol.

Regularly visit yum Yums. Food served hot every time never had a problem. Large selection on the menu to eat in or take out and at very good prices, Staff are very friendly and helpful.

The food was good but to be honest the service wasn't great really wasn't made to feel welcome, think this is really for the locals and regulars rather than visitors

I currently work at Yum Yums Cafe. I understand that everyone has their say at to how they were treated etc. But slander is another thing. Saying we had mould in our bread when it's fresh everyday? And maggots? I think not. On the day questioned by a reviewer I was working and certainly did not refuse to sell a customer pancakes. And as to my boss throwing the food in my face? That's ridiculous as is the rat allegation. We have actually been shortlisted for cafe of the year. Surely if we were that bad we wouldn't have customers? I pride myself as does everyone who works there, to serve the best food we can. We try to accommodate our customers as much as we can. Thank you for reading this

the staff were very ignorant, unhelpful and damn right disrespectful. first of all I slipped over some wet floor thank god it was me and not my blind disable son. when I ordered food she refused to make pancakes as they took to long? so I didn't ask for pudding I simply had a meal which when brought over the bread was moody and there was a maggot in the sandwich I took it back and she refused to refund me when I spoke to the manager he screamed at a younger girl working there and threw the food I ordered in her face I then when back to get my son and my belongings when I looked over I saw a live rat run into the back room! do not go to this place it should be closed down!

Yum Yums is a fantastic café in the centre of Corwen. I went there today at lunch time. The food is excellent - you could say yummy : ) - and the coffee great. Service is quick, even when busy. It’s spacious, with seating inside and out, there’s Wi-Fi, a TV, and a really good atmosphere. But best thing about Yum Yums? It has to be the staff; they’re friendly and a joy to chat to.

We stopped here after a long day of traveling and couldn't wait to have food as we were all starving. When we arrive there was a couple of people outside and one family inside, the owner (I'm guessing) was behind the counter and was very nice on arrival, we sat down and looked at the menus, all decided what we were having, only to be told they didn't sever that menu during the day time. This was not made clear on our arrival as the menus where already placed on the table. After we finally decided what we were going to have, portions where more than adequate. My only complaints would be about the jacket potato was swimming in butter (personally, I prefer no butter with my jacket, but I wasn't given the option of no butter). My other complaint is sadly about the milkshakes which are made with powder and need to be mixed more thoroughly as I had a massive lump of powder. Not a bad cafe all in all, would visit again.

Came in on a rainy day, staff need training as they didn't have a clue what should or shouldn't be on the day menu, a bit rude and short. We all ordered a simple Panini and some coffee's, all came out at random times and had to ask several times for milk and other items forgotten about. Then we ordered pancakes, don't even bother, uncooked thick rubber things, we gave up and asked for a refund. Shame as it could be a great place for visitors like us this summer!!

They have a good range of food, and all made to order.The staff are very hard working and very helpful. The food is made to order to eat in or to take away. On a nice day you can sit outside to enjoy your food. It is next to the A5, but still enjoyable.

A little early for our holiday cottage so stopped in Corwen for a drink so only called in for a takeaway coffee.Waitress seemed very adept at multi-tasking by texting on her phone and making a coffee at the same time but I hope her texts were better than her coffee !All I can say it was hot and had a vague coffee flavour, not sure why they had a coffee machine, instant would have been better.Won't be calling here again.

We walked into town from the railway but chose a Wednesday which was half day closing so not much open but Yum Yums was open and welcoming with seats outside to watch the vehicles pass by on the A5. Good tea and views of the locals walking about although not much else, pity really as this was once a thriving town which perhaps the railway can bring back to life again.

The place was OK. Very cramped. no baby changing facilities, we had to go in a car park (very disgusting!)..Food was poor quality. Really poor for the price. Staff were really helpful, but needs more space in there.

My friends and I stumbled by Yum Yums by accident. We were on a road trip, felt peckish and found ourselves in Corwen.The service we received was incredible - a really friendly man behind the counter, who I think was the owner, was chatty and attentive.I tried the Jacket Potato with Tuna and Cheese which was one of the nicest Jackets I have had in a long time. I also have a packet of crisps and a drink. The bill was £6.25 but the lovely man behind the counter only charged me £6 :)My friend tried a bap and it was huge!!!! Very filling and cheap!Worth a trip!!

Have just visited Yum Yums, which is now open on a Friday and Saturday evening and had a great meal. I had a steak which was cooked just how I wanted it and although not on menu, I was able to have a jacket potato. Instead of chips. Good atmosphere and nice hosya

We have visited a couple of times since December 2015 and have always had a good eating experience. Full breakfast is great and we are now big fans of the sausage sandwiches :-)We will definitely be regular visitors to Yum Yums in Corwen.

We picked a sunny day to visit Corwen and as we had both our dogs with us we needed somewhere with outdoor seating whilst we had a break and 'drinks and cakes'The café is in the middle of Corwen and it is an ideal place to 'people watch'. The drinks were hot and the cakes of a generous portion and the tables and chairs provided us with a great place to relax.

Called here in the half term holiday. We had the All Day Breakfast along with a mug of tea. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal, served to us by a very pleasant young lady.I have and will continue to recommend Yum Yum's to anyone. It was reasonably priced and very good value for money. I look forward to calling there again.

I had a cup of tea and a cake here earlier this year and both were grim. Returned recently as it was the only cafe in Corwen open so I had no choice. Decided to try a cup of coffee instead. Cheap nasty instant coffee and £1.80 too. There's no excuse to serve dire coffee but maybe there's not much competition in Corwen so they can get away with it and overcharge too. The cup was taken away barely touched (we were told they were closing!) and no questions asked as to why I hadn't drunk it. I will not be returning again. Once was enough, twice was plain silly.

I stopped here for breakfast whilst passing through on business. For £5.95 (a reasonable price for a decent breakfast but by no means cheap!) I was 'treated' to a plate half filled with cheap beans and tomato juice, 2 rashers of burnt bacon, 2 tasteless sausages, an egg swimming in grease and a piece of barely cooked toast! The tea was passable. Had I not been very hungry and on a tight schedule I would have requested a refund! The lady who served me was however very pleasant. I won't be returning!

Had breakfast here a few times since we moved into the town 2 weeks ago. Even had breakfast AND lunch here yesterday with some visiting friends!We love that you can bring the dogs and sit outside with bacon & eggs and a brew. The owner even brought sausages for the dogs, what a welcome to town!Staff are really friendly and welcoming and the food is good and reasonable priced - even have healthy stuff if you're looking for that.Definitely continue to come here, thanks guys!
