Yukti in Liverpool

Made a reservation online only to find the restaurant closed, very poor that no one from the yukti tried to contact us. Always enjoyed coming to this restaurant, notice outside saying closed for renovation , also their restaurant in city centre is also closed. Still it's only decency to pick up a phone and let customers know what's going on.

I came from down South for a few days to visit my elderly Mother who lives alone and never goes out. I thought it would be nice to take her out for a nice meal somewhere close to where she lives as she is frail and unsteady on her feet. I telephoned the restaurant on Monday evening 2nd October and spoke to a young lady there. I asked to book a table for 6pm the following evening, Tues 3rd October at 6pm, for 2 people. They lady confirmed the information to be all ok and said she would see us the following night. My Mum was really looking forward to it. Tues evening arrived. It was a struggle to get my Mum there on foot but we managed. When we arrived, to my disappointment the restaurant was closed!! I telephoned the mobile number for your function room above, (as there was no reply on your restaurant number). The lady I spoke to explained that your restaurant has not been opening recently on a Tuesday and thought I had spoken to a member of staff who had mis-advised me whilst making my booking. After leaving the restaurant, disappointed; I struggled to get my Mother home as she had been standing on her feet for quite some time outside your CLOSED restaurant. She then fell and grazed her face and knees. It was traumatic getting her home safely. After getting her home, I then had to go shopping to get her something to eat. She had no food in for that evening as she thought she was going out for a nice meal. I emailed the restaurant the next day to complain but received no response! What more can I say other than I am disgusted. Your staff should be made aware of your opening and closing times so that they do not take and CONFIRM bookings for days you are in fact closed!! This whole situation caused my Mother to have a traumatic experience which was completely un-necessary and extremely stressful for her.

We tried the chicken dhansak, lamb biriyani, chicken jalfrezi,peshwari Naan and keema rice. It was awesome. Excellent ambience and service is very good. This is the best restaurant in liverpool in affordable price.

Excellent food, with attentive service. We were there in a quiet Monday night and the chef patron Ravi came to talk to us. We had some lovely fritters as welcome snack from the kitchen and a biryani dish on the house, as we got taking with Ravi and learned that it is the house special. I would definitely come back, despite the rather out of the way location.

The food was lovely and the service was great. Our only complaint was that a Diet Coke was listed as £2.95 on the menu, but the waitress asked my wife if she wanted a small or a large. She ordered a large, and it wasn't until we checked the itemised bill after getting home that we saw we'd been charged £5 for this. This wasn't listed in the menu as the price for a coke; there was only one price. It feels really underhanded to upsell a product without putting the price in the menu and it left a bitter taste in the mouth in spite of a nice meal. £5 for draft coke is extortionate, and even worse when it's without your knowledge.

The wife had an inkling for a Biriani and we decided to visit. This was our first visit. It was amazing. The food was hot and fresh. Even though we did not order it, a pre-starter plate arrived and this indeed helped the evening along. We decided to have a £14 meal deal which includes a drink and suffice to say we had to bring a doggy bag home.
