been here so many times but always forget to do the review. firstly the people are so friendly even under pressure from being a very busy restaurant food is so tasty and portions are very generous indeed in probably the six times i have been its never been less than 100%. fully recommend this restaurant

The best chicken wings I have ever had! (Salt and pepper wings). The service was so friendly and attentive and all the dishes we tried were delicious. There was so much choice in China Town but I'm glad we chose here. I highly recommend a visit!

Amazing selection of food, meat was very good quality

Service was excellent, and the food was outstanding! We picked this restaurant because there was a delightful young lady outside asking us to come in. We’re so glad we did! Wish we were in London longer, we’d be there every day. We will tell the Hotel Concierge how great the restaurant is, and hopefully they’ll direct more guests to your wonderful restaurant.

Food was average at best but worst of all my 16yr old the had won ton soup has been vomiting for the last 3 hours. All has eaten is a croissant for breakfast and this Chinese meal. He told me afterwards the the prawns were crunchy. Be careful what you order!

Traditional Chinese restaurant, located in said neighborhood of the city of London. It has a very diverse menu. Extra costs usually apply to the prices listed on the menu outside. The dishes are abundant and well prepared. I suggest accompanying the meals with the Chinese tea that they offer in a teapot.

The food was reasonable but the overall experience was let down by one dish being cold and another much later than the others. In fact the starters also didn't turn up together either. Not particularly attentive service either.

Went for dinner with friends, overall the food was delicious and well portioned and staff were friendly. However the waitress serving our table gave average service, nothing bad but not great either such as reaching over right in front of you whilst still eating to clear plates without saying “excuse me” or the like. My friends didn’t want to pay the service charge, so after working out how we’d spilt the bill and paying for our food and drinks, the waitress claimed we had no choice but to pay the “gratuity” charge and said it was stated in the menu that 12.5% would be added to each bill. In the menu itself it clearly states that a “discretionary” gratuity charge is added to the bill, meaning it is not mandatory to pay it. Whilst I appreciate it is very common place in London for service charges to be added on and I’m usually happy to pay it, my friends didn’t want to pay it and we explained to the waitress that it’s not mandatory to pay it as stated in the menu. Eventually we ended up paying the charge but it is unethical and clearly a tourist trap to insist the service charge be paid. I have lived in London and worked in a pub and know you are not obliged to pay the service or “gratuity” charge. So beware and stand your ground

We ate here and were happy. The French beans spicy were really delicious. The shao mai were good and up to standard. All the other dim sums we ordered were also good. It is worth coming here. Service was great, our young waiter was friendly and helpful. Worth coming.

When you go pay the bill includes a 13% gratuity but the waiter will still insist you pay a large tip to them. I call that a scam and deserving of one star.

honestly the worst place to eat, the atmosphere was making me feel anxious because of how loud it was and i felt very uncomfortable, the food hygiene was not good i found a piece of hair in my food which was a big red flag for me 🚩, the service was alright i guess but i dont recommend it and i went home which a sick tummy!

This is a nice small eatery on the quieter side of London Chinatown. We ordered four dim sums between two of us. Quality was good. The standard quality bearer prawn dumplings were smaller than most, but delicious & fresh. The fact that it’s not standard size might also indicate that the dumplings were made in-house rather than bought. Shredded duck spring rolls were great. Skin a bit burnt but very moorish. Beef cheung fun & glutinous rice were not bad though there was no surprise. Just one snag is fillings in glutinous rice which can be a bit more generous. Service was good. Waiters were all professional, prompt & helpful. We weren’t shuffled a bill straight after we finish. My main criticism is probably deco. All seems a bit too plain & bland.

We had a fantastic meal here on Friday night and we will be back next week, the portions were large and everything was super tasty, we could not finish the crispy aromatic duck and we asked for it all to be delivered together which made it a quick and delicious meal! Fantastic experience

Food and portions in this restaurant were good. Although we wont be returning because we received the bill and requested politely to the waitress that we would like the OPTIONAL service charge removed as it was almost another £10.00 extra on top of the bill. She refused and said it states this on the menu and it is compulsory for you to pay so refused to remove it. Another member of staff intervened and told us the only place you do not pay service charge is McDonalds - oh please don't insult my intelligence - I am from the UK and very intelligent might I add!! We told them by law you do not need to pay this charge as this is optional but staff continually refused. We wont be returning.

The fried noodles are unusually thin (for us), large portions but only garnished with a little meat. Spicey chicken with lots of chilli! But not brutally sharp. The chicken pieces were WITH bones! That's no fun! Overall: just average

Amazing restaurant for Chinese food lovers! The staff sit you down quick and orders don’t take long either. Food was excellent quality - I recommend the Beef noodles, peking duck rolls and the radish spring rolls. I enjoyed the food so much. I recommend this place if you visit China town.

**update** We finally got back although it was an entire year later! The place was just as good as I remember if not better! We tried a couple of different menu items this time 😍 amazing! We will be back nearer Christmas. Added another photo but it’s not as good as we just wanted to dive in and nearly forgot to take one 😁 Our first time trying this place on our trip to London. It was so good 😊 the flavours were good the staff were polite and friendly. This is going to be our go to place every time we visit London. Can’t wait to go back in a couple of months!

Lovely lunch spot in China town - have no complaints. The food was so fresh and light which left us with a nice feeling and not feeling heavy and bloated, even 6 pancakes down! The crispy aromatic duck pancakes were gorgeous and the mushroom chow mein was perfectly done. Highly recommend for a quiet lunch spot.

Had a wonderful meal here, really fast service, food was delicious & a vast selection of familiar dishes on the menu along with some house specials. Bit pricey (+12.5% tip auto added) but by the time we'd enjoyed our meal, we were happy to pay what we were charged. We ordered: Chow Mein, Chilli Green Beans, Satay Chicken, Crispy Pork Belly, Crispy Chilli Beef, Crispy Seaweed & Prawn Crackers. The chillis in the green beans were hard & inedible but they were easily avoided & everything else was perfect. Can't believe we didn't get any photos of our food but it all looked so fantastic, we just got cracking as soon as it arrived & didn't give it another thought! We ate outside so can't comment on atmosphere or cleanliness inside. Would definitely recommend & seek out this restaurant next time we're in the area.

I came here for the first time with my boyfriend,I have to say all the staff there was EXTREMELY friendly, one of the lovely lady gave us the mango dessert to try and it was THE BEST DESSERT I EVER HAD SO FAR. Besides it being very delicious it shocked us that the portion size was very big and worth it.

The food was ok, not particularly good or excessive. There's a different way to be sustainable, I don't think you have to use (Cola) cans in a restaurant. But what really bothered me was that someone from the service staff kept reaching over the table and the plates during the meal, for example to shake the stupid Coke can and see if it was empty and could be cleared away.

I have no idea why their ratings are so low.The food is delicious and the waiters are very friendly especially Selena 👍🏻

Superb food. I'm very happy. We were warned that not all Chinese restaurants serve the food we enjoy in Soho. Especially having lived in Malaysia for over 30 years. But wow, the food was amazing. It really hit the spot. We will certainly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an authentic Chinese meal.

Food was delicious and the service were really nice, I went with friends and they kindly set up the table outside. They added 12% service and there was transparency with the payment. We paid separately.

Tasty and reasonable portions. 3 stars given due to scummy and deceitful billing practices. We were brought our bill, which the server deliberately tried to hide from us, and presented with a card machine on the screen requesting a tip. We always tip 10% and despite the bill being a bit higher than I was expecting, we tipped 10%. I then asked the server for the copy of the bill she was holding and, after initially trying to walk away with it, she gave it to me revealing that a 12.5% gratuity had already been applied to the bill, and we had tipped an extra 10% on top when presented with the card machine. If you're going to add a 12.5% tip to your own bills, don't present card machines to customers that also ask for a tip while hiding this from them. Really scummy.

2nd visit to new young Cheng, service was perfect food was fantastic highly recommended egg fried rice was one of the best only downer was given the bill seconds after i eaten with my daughter apart from that it was very clean and like i mentioned food was outstanding

Visited here again after it has undergone renovation and serving personnel were too quick to request cash payment up front, before we had the opportunity to get our food. This was very bad practice from the management. Selection of food was very good ,lots of choices of meat dishes and veggie ones which were very freshly prepared. Buffet was £15.00 each

The food and service was absolutely outstanding. Can't fault the attentiveness of the staff always ready to help, nothing was to much. We had SET MENU A and was left full up. £25 for the menu was absolutely amazing the quality off the food and service is amazing. Would recommend to anyone looking for an authentic Hong Kong meal!

I had the salt and pepper prawns. The prawns were actually really nice and nicely seasoned. What really put me off though was the shop bought sweet chilli sauce. So all in all it was a bit underwhelming. I asked if I could have the 12.5% service charge removed so I could choose how much I wanted to tip but was told that that was not possible.

If you're looking for a decent Chinese buffet in London, best to avoid this place. Rude service and they make you pay in advance. The buffet is bland and tasteless with slimy chicken and fatty greasy beef. What's more I was very ill following my visit here. Best to avoid!

We went there last week as a group with a baby. The staff were so friendly and attentive. They knew about all the food we queried and could find out if they wasn’t sure. Our new favourite place to eat in China Town.

Fantastic Chinese Restaurant in Chinatown. Our daughter was recently diagnosed with coeliac disease but loves Chinese food. We have struggled to find any restaurants locally that cater for Gluten free customers so visited Chinatown. After 3/4 unsuccessful attempts at other chinese restaurants checking if they could provide a gluten free dish we stumbled upon this restaurant. There was a significant selection for gluten free customers, including chow mein dishes. They even brought out a separate gluten free soya sauce, and the gluten free dish was cooked separately and bought out first. The food and service for our whole family was fantastic and we would certainly highly recommend this restaurant, especially for diners looking for GF Chinese options.

Great food and service, but very noisy

Had a great Chinese meal recently while visiting London and in China Town. Really nice area situated on Lisle Street. Very efficient staff who kindly sat us outside first and then helped us move inside as there was a very badly behaved child next to us. Good Menu with plenty to choose from. The food was great and I am a regular visitor to China and the Far East. Fully Recommended!

I’ve had a terrible experience here , I came for a meal with my friends and the food was making me feel Ill after a couple bites and once I complained I was told it was my fault and they recieve to give any compensation . Food from buffet was also extremely cold

I was recommended by a friend to try this place and it was such a treat! We ordered too many dishes but they were all so delicious that i am glad we tried them all! My favorite were the fried soft shell crab and roast duck 😋 must visit in Chinatown and reasonably priced too

The location is good! But it is expensive in relation to the size of the portions (tiny tiny). The flavour was okish,, I have had much better. The staff is friendly!

I recommend for the service and the cuisine. Dim Sum shrimp and chives to die for. Excellent waiter who was able to recommend the dishes to us. The chicken melts in your mouth. Excellent experience in the heart of China Town.

I had lobster noodles and iced sweet & sour pork. Haven’t had iced sweet &sour for so long in London! The food was authentic and the portion was huge. We also had some veggie but I forgot the name. The staff was very friendly and we had a great time with friends. Perfect place for people want to have a proper authentic Chinese food.

Me and 4 friends went in this restaurant, and they guided us downstairs to have a amazingly weird buffet of cold food. I didn’t want to eat but I suggested this place to 4 of them. A waiter told us to go downstairs and take a sit. My friends went up to pick up the food and I waited in the table. All good. I told the other waiter I wasn’t eating (I wasn’t trusting a lot the place but my friends were hungry) just being a guide to my friends and all good. As soon as my friends started to eat, a waiter went quick to the “manager” to say that 1 person wasn’t eating.. the manager showed up, saying I should be waiting up stairs coz I wasn’t eating. What is the point? 4 people with me eating, if was 1 eating and 4 looking I would understand.. I’m sure they put the food from their plates back in the buffet lol Every costumer around was looking in shock. So we left coz it was ridiculous! Eating grass worth more then eating at this place 🥴

We were with family because we were unable to get a seat in the restaurant next door which was very well rated. Total disappointment. The dishes are very bland and tasteless. The accompaniments are served in generous portions but very bad in taste. The Thai pas is a horror! In short, run away

Delicious food! Especially the strawberry spare ribs! Great value too.

Really delicious hidden gem in China town. Ordered the salted egg yolk chicken wings and prawn curry. Probably one of the best prawn curries I’ve ever eaten. Dish was recommended by staff and not on menu so you might have to ask for it. Don’t forget to order some rice to mop up all the sauce!

It's very Hong Kong style, and all the dishes are very good. Except for the barbecued pork, which is a bit ordinary, the portions are sufficient. The service is very good and the price is fair. I will recommend it to my friends.

Unassuming place with excellent service. They were very allert to allergies. The duck, crab and aubergine were excellent. The soup and dim sum not as splendid.

Nice food, both if you are a bit picky or if you love Chinese. They heard wrong when we ordered drinks, but when we told them they eminently changed them and we got the difference back

Pretty much what I expected, it’s great you can see the food in the front window, it’s a busy place so you get the impression the food is regularly topped up so bring freshly cooked, food tasty, with all ‘all you can eat’ places their good value for money Felt a bit rushed.. but I get it!

We came here as they did lobster noodles, a request of my daughter who turned 25 years old. Her first time having lobster and she loved it. We came with 2 friends and the food was really good. Joe was our waiter and he was very attentive, changing our plates when needed and topping up our drinks, gave us wipes as we were eating with our fingers. Food was flavoursome, service was great, staff were very friendly and great location. Would definitely come here for a Chinese dinner again..
