Really good service. Food really good value, lots of locals kept coming so has a good repeating trade. Asked for fresh fish and they cooked it fresh without any issues.

Good size piece of fish and lots of chips but wish both had been crispier.

The staff were good but my rock (fish) was not. It had dark meat inside and smell so I didn't eat it so no I won't go there again

Great food with amazing owner! The York Way Fish Bar ambiance felt like family! Great foods that are always served with love ♥️. I really like the wings as it were crispy and flavorful. The fish was also big. Not to mention the handful chips were given. Very happy to be served by the owner + great interaction! Hope to be back again to eat the foods when I visit the area in the future ✨ Ps. Didn’t have chance to take a photo since we were hungry and enjoying the food 💯

Service is excellent, but sadly food was properly dodgy. Fried southern fried chicken was soft and luke warm (I'm worried about what may happen tonight). The fish didn't taste like cod, even though what was sold was suppose to be cod it was bland and watery. It was swimming in a milky liquid within the takeout container. The chips were okay, nothing special and definitely not a reason to visit this bar again. They looked overcooked, maybe even refried. We travelled some distance to come here on the strength of the reviews. I cant say I agree with KSI.

It's good value for money. Food is good, chips are the chunky kind (therefore better, less oil for square centimeter). Halal and vegan options available.

This is the best fast food shop ever for me. The fried chicken wings are really tasty, compared to all other restaurant that I have tried. The service is really friendly and they are customer friendly. Everyone must try this.

I hadn't been to this fish and chip shop for 12 years since I moved out of the area. Coming back 12 years later I'm happy to report it's still under the same management / ownership, and most importantly still serving absolutely delicious dish and chips. There's still a bit of a wait to ensure you get chips served straight out the fryer but it's well worth the wait. I rate it as the best fish and chips on London.

ONLY COD - No other fish available. This is probably a sales ploy. COD? no. Frozen whitefish and tasteless. Generous portions. Friendly staff cannot compensate for overpriced fish. Not really a "fish & chip shop" more like a "anything we can deep fry or grill shop". Chicken, sausage, saveloy's, fishcakes, kebabs, battered sausages and 'fish'.

First time to get chicken and chips, big portion. Nice and hot great tasting and good customer service. Very friendly. I'll be back to try the fish it looked yum.

Kebab/chicken/fish bar all in one. Table & chair only for those desperate to eat in. Chips ok (bit pale, too much Dry White). Fish good (for this type of establishment). Owner friendly and likes banter. He offers discount to new customers sometimes. Overall, I'd recommend this for standard fish n chips. Chili sauce is interesting; not too hot. Didn't notice hygiene rating but display and owner look well kept with no greasy surfaces. Cod/rock/place & chips £6-30, haddock n chips £6-50. I gave him some flannel and he did a small fish, chips & drink for a fiver.

If you want some nice flavoured battered fish - this is the place! Make sure you ask for their home made chilli sauce! It's amazing - not as hot as you think! They do fried chicken/grilled food too - halal.

This is our local fish and chip shop, we have been coming here for the last 10 years (twice a month) and are rarely disappointed. The trick is to phone up and get them to cook you a fresh cod and chips then pop around to the shop ten minutes later to pick up your dinner. This way you guarantee that you fish will not have been sitting around under the heat lamp for 40 minutes before you eat it.
