I would say our visit to yo sushi Belfast was a little better than average. On the whole the restaurant is a tad grubby, would have expected it to be cleaner as it’s in Victoria square. Staff weren’t particularly attentive! Waited a while for drinks, the bill etc. But they were friendly. We went for the all you can eat sushi option - Thursdays between 4-9. Good selection of options to choose from and if you have a big appetite for sushi it’s well worth the £30 per person! We did overindulge, counted the plates and would have cost us double if we were paying for each plate. The sushi wasn’t “amazing” but it was good! I’ve had better in other places! But it was great to try all the different options! Beware of the service charge, 7.5% regardless of the size of table. Found it strange to add a service charge as we were choosing our own food off the conveyor belt! They also added all the plates on to our receipt plus the two bottomless charges, then worked out the service charge, then deleted the plates! Service charge ended up being £15 for a £60 bill! I questioned this and it was refunded! Worth a visit but wouldn’t necessarily rush back!

Visit made me sad- Have always loved visiting Yo Sushi- various locations around the UK but todays visit leaves me worried for the Belfast branch. Was left waiting to be seated for nearly 10 mins- waiters passed me by and never thought to acknowledge i was waiting. When seated was told waiter would be back shortly to take drinks order and to see if i wanted to make any order from menu. In short- he never returned. I flagged down 4 different staff members (some kitchen staff) requesting a drink- it took the 5th ask for them to bring this- after some of my food had arrived. Food was tasty- Up to Yo sushis usual standards but the poor service did impact my enjoyment on this as i was so busy trying to catch the attention of passing staff so i could get a drink. Bring back the call button. Also add some hot options to the movable belt which surely will take some pressure of the waiters. Increased prices do not reflect on the overall experience. Will think twice about returning.

My wife and I came here for lunch as we were in town shopping, utterly disappointing. We were seated and ordered two Cokes to drink, to which the server brought two lukewarm cans. We then waited 15 minutes before we had to grab someone to take our order for hot food, the three small dishes of which came separately over the course of the next 45 minutes rather than together, meaning that the whole meal was very disjointed. The sushi was nothing spectacular - to be perfectly honest, there are much much better establishments in Belfast (Sakura in Botanic Ave being a prime example). The last straw was when the bill came in at almost £90 - a complete and utter rip off for the meal we had. My recommendation would be to avoid at all costs.

Overall the sushi was average in my opinion. Warm tin of juice, no glass, no ice, waited quite a significant time for a side order of 1 portion of noodles from the menu which was surprising, as it was a quiet enough Sunday afternoon. The biggest ick of all was from who I assume to be the head chef speaking to the sous chef like rubbish whilst we were clearly sitting there at the other side of the conveyor belt. It was incredibly uncomfortable and to be honest completely unacceptable with paying customers in view and ear shot. That was the nail in the coffin and I would not return.

Visited here while on holiday in Belfast. The kids loved the novelty of the conveyor belt sushi. But unfortunately everything else let this place down. Called in for lunch after being tempted by a really good offer. Not enough staff, only one seating people. Was given menus even though I asked and explained that we were only here for the offer, as we were leaving a new customer was given a separate menu just for the offer and unlike our experience they were told sure I know of the offer and no problem . Then it was such a painful and embarrassing experience. Order is via the app, but I struggled to find public WiFi and had no data. The offer I found can't be ordered on the app, once after nearly ten minutes I got onto the WiFi. Nearly half the dishes on the offer weren't available, I had to read on the app the separate offer only menu and cross check what dishes were available on the main app order section. Took nearly half an hour to order three dishes. When I wanted to pay I had to wait a while as the singular staff member despite acknowledging that I was ready to leave kept walking past and helping other customers and making small talk with them. He gave me the card reader and the amount was double what it should be. He apologised and explained that the tills didn't recognise the offer and it was just a company issue. Couldn't help but wonder how many people innocently used contactless payment without checking the amount and were and probably are still being charged wrong.

Went here today with a friend and upon entry had to wait 15 minutes for someone to acknowledge us,after this a waiter told us that he would “grab” us a table and proceeded to ignore us. We eventually got someone to take us to our table however people that arrived after us(a couple)got seated before us. The selection of foods they had were very small going around the belt and just the same stuff over and over. I ordered my main bowl and waited 15 minutes for it which would’ve been acceptable if the chefs were cooking instead of chatting majority of the time. It was near impossible to get someone’s attention and my friend had to wait 45 minutes for her bowl after being brushed off multiple times by workers.She asked several times and was told that they will check by people who never returned to us. Aside from one waiter with the blue hairnet the service was lacking. For a place meant to be self service we were there for around an hour and a half which is shocking. Don’t visit if looking for a calm quick meal.

Used to be my favourite place to eat, I have not been in a while, it’s went down hill so much, everything is so worn, it needs a referb, the staff were not overly friendly, service was slow. Sushi was not rolled properly and was splitting apart. The dish that the ginger and wasabi came in was so badly stained or just dirty I wasn’t going to risk eating from it. Seats all ripped. Floor was filthy. Sad to say I won’t be back

Shocking, and not in a good way. High expectations but - Greeting wasn't welcoming at all, directions barked at us on entry - we felt like we were queuing at a soup kitchen rather than having a luxurious dining experience. Restaurant felt shabby, somewhat worn out, missing some light bulbs, showcasing unattractive dishes covered by seemingly dirty plastic lids on a dimly lit conveyer. Unhelpful waiter who grimaced when asked for anything. Food mediocre at best, no help with menus and little hospitality from staff. Fried dumplings tasted as if fried in chip fat for 50 days & our duck wasn’t much better. Little interest in client feedback. We travelled for 2 hours specifically to eat here and were so looking forward to it however, our experience was not positive. Our mobile phone was flat. Both waiter and manager got on their High horse and droned on over how the use of their Q Code order system was the norm - as if we were dirt for not having a charged cell phone and disrupting their busy day by ordering manually. News for you guys - you run a restaurant and we were customers that you have now lost. Wouldn’t return even if paid to. Abysmal meal.

Have visited YoSushi several times in the past pre Covid. I understand that hospitality has taken a real beating since then. We both love Asian style food but a self styled Japanese restaurant with no ramen, no pan fried dumplings considering there are many other venues in Belfast , one even in the same complex has said items on a daily basis. I also think that QR menu ordering while it may be “hip” is somewhat akin to “ self checkout “. Surely person to server is much more amiable and lends to a pleasant and more meaningful experience. Food that was on the menu which we had was fine but absence of two of our favourites cooled the appetite. Sorry but disappointed.

When you spend £40 you definitely don’t expect to have you order arrive with a black and burnt veggie burger, 2 dirty fries that genuinely tasted dirty and one that was supposed to have bacon, have a few specs of bacon. I think it’s absolutely appalling that business cry poverty yet they can’t even get the basics right. Fed up of getting poor quality grub given to us and expected to pay for it. To the owners - you need to get your staff sorted as you’re losing business from stuff like this.

Service was really slow. We waited 10 minutes to be seated, and it was really quiet there, right under the air con. It was raining all day that day and was quite chilly already. I couldn't understand why they turned on the air con. We asked the waitress if she could do somethinf about that, which she said okay and then left without letting us know what she was gonna do. Only when we asked to move to a different table did she clean the one next to ours and let us sit there. Food was average but the portion was SUPER small. We ordered a korean chicken bowl which had nothing but rice and some chicken pieces. Not even a single piece of veg or decoration. I wouldn't even pay 5 pounds for that tiny bowl, let alone 12 pounds. Worst Japanese restaurant I've ever been to. Very disappponted.

Despite the staff being so sweet and understanding with us, me and my friends payed separately and i was charged for two portions of the salmon sushi despite only ordering one- easy mistake but when it was taken off, I was charged £5:50 for a plate of sushi that was 3:95. I didn’t want to correct the server again as she was so nice but I don’t know if I’ll be back again.

We wanted something light to eat and this place was perfect. We were there early (before 5pm) but still had to sit at the bar as seating was limited. The food was fresh and tasty. portions are small, but so is the price. Once seated, ordering is done online, but on request a staff will assist with the order and use a portable card reader to take payment. Food is delivered on a belt. Would go there again

We were very disappointed with the food and service. Everything looks run down and grubby. Highchairs were lined up covered in food, tables were left dirty around us, the kitchen area was unkempt and in disarray. You have to pay upfront and service charge is included with no option to remove (always happy to pay for hood service but like it to be optional). We had to ask for cutlery but staff were polite but seemed inexperienced and unhappy). Food was seriously lacklustre and put together with little care. Portions were very small and yet it was expensive for what it was. Not impressed.

Wasn’t fussed on yo sushi this time around. Got given a dirty glass for wine twice, third time lucky it was clean. The tuna was a funny grey colour on one of our dishes. Overall not good value. If going to yo sushi your far better just getting a click and collect, same food, less expensive and you can eat somewhere clean. I don’t like how they add on a service charge and you pay before you even have food or any service. We took off the service charge and it was added on again when paying!!!! Think in future will eat sushi elsewhere, this place isn’t as it was.

Visited on Wed 2pm and firstly noticed still when you sit down you are told to download barcode and order through the (not so simple) app. no of food on conveyor belt. it looked grubby Then onto the duck chip thing just reheated chips and spoonful of dry duck , chicken karage, 4 chunk's of breast meat the kind you get a box for spar for about 4 quid , beef teriyaki, not sure where they get beef from ,but close to chewy stringy rubber. 1 x seafood seaweed roll average that plus a water and soft drink came to 41 pounds the two chefs looks low morale and demoralized as did the manager. wont be going back again

Super disappointed with the cleanliness of this establishment. Went at midday and there was rice from the previous day on the conveyor belt - very obvious I was quite surprised it was obviously not cleaned. To my disgust this was only the beginning of seeing grime and grot from old food in and around the belt. Also the grime between the table and the wall it's attached to needs a good scrub and also please clean the sides of the tables not just the top. Basic standards that mean so much to customers especially when you first open and are selling raw fish. The soap dispenser didn't work in one female toilet and the other had no soap just hand sanitizer which many people don't wish to use because of allergies and skin problems. Don't wish to return with my daughter ever again which is a shame as she loves sushi.

I have been before and really enjoyed it. I thought the price was good for what you get. This time the menu was very limited. I ended up getting 3 tiny gyozas for 5.75! Although they were pretty tasty. That’s a ridiculous price in my opinion. I also got sushi and the rice was over cooked and mushy so that ruined the whole sushi experience. I had to ask multiple times for chopsticks and for my drink and ginger and soy sauce that I ordered online. Overall I was very disappointed as I’ve had great experience here in the past but definitely wouldn’t visit again if this is the standard now

Clay pot is a must get - it is authentic. The aroma and textures are perfect. The owner is super friendly and chill, she has offered best services I have gotten from any restaurant in Ireland / north Ireland. If you contemplate between lees garden across the street and this restaurant, definitely come here as the other restaurant is at least three stars below this one.

I used to like this place but it got worse. The waiter was ignoring us for a long time. Chicken in my ramen was dry and overcooked. Curry katsu was lacking taste. The waiter overcharged our bill and we had to point it out. Overall a mediocre experience

Had carry out lunch before which was excellent, bento box was so good had to go and sit in, was not disappointed, had bento box again , it's great the way you don't feel bloated after lunch. All fresh Ingredients no MSG is what I put it down to . Not licensed, BYO with corkage , keep the cost down for such excellent food.😋
