3 Levels Asian Fusion in Belfast

I am extremely disappointed with the food; its quality is absolutely abysmal. The sweet and sour chicken was unusually bright, and the ribs were merely bones with no trace of meat on them. To be honest, I am utterly shocked by this place.

Very disappointed. We were on the top level and it was cold and empty. We picked from set menu which was over priced for what we got. Salad was a bit of shredded lettuce with 4 slices of cucumber. Some of the starter was cold. I ordered lamb with spring onions, bell pepper, mint and ginger.....it had no mint or ginger. One of out party had finished their dinner before the rest of us go theirs. Also deserts are extra too. Very over priced for what we got and definetely didnt feel full.As for paying they over charged our drinks by nearly a £1 each, added an extra £10 for no reason and a service charge of £35. When we queried the bill they claimed they couldn't understand us even though the gentleman spoke to us in perfect English beforehand. Such a shame as it could be a brilliant place / experience for eating out.

We booked for 7 PM for two people for the live cooking experience but were frustrated when told upon arrival that we couldn't attend due to an unexpected increase in another customer's party. We had to purchase additional drinks, expecting to be brought to the area we booked. However, we were later informed that we would be placed in a different area where no live cooking took place and was completely empty. No apology or attempt to rectify the situation was made; instead, they played dumb as if we had just walked in. The soy sauce was served in a small container, forcing us to share and dip our sushi into the same container, unlike other Japanese restaurants that provide a soy sauce bottle. In spite of all that, we were still charged the 10% service charge. A really poor service/organizational experience; we do not recommend this place. For 80 POUNDS, you could get a much better experience and better service in other places in Belfast.

Fantastic place! The cool chef did a show, and we were very entertained. The food was delicious, I personally was very impressed with the vegetarian duck, and with the starters. I wish the miso soup was vegan (or an available option to make it so) but unfortunately they use fish stock in it. Nonetheless, we will come again when we are in Belfast again.

Ordered takeaway from the Chinese restaurant - Chicken Satay, Salt and Chilli chicken and sides. Food was poor; the Chicken satay had battered chicken in it instead of chicken breast and the salted chilli chicken was tough and stodgy. Have previously ordered really good quality food from here but based on the last order, won’t be back

Brilliant experience although food was medicore

Our family of 5 adults had a wonderful selection of Chinese food served by a friendly, attentive waiter.Food was sizzling hot, tasty and delicious.We will definitely be back!There was a level that served Japanese food but we did not sample this …on this occasion!!

Worst tap en yaki I have ever experienced! It was over sold so too many customers for them to handle, it was chaotic and stressful. The only cooking on the grill was a piece of meat! Everything else was just warmed up behind the counter, which isn't what tap en yaki is about! "Asian salad" was a small saucer with some lettuce and carrot on! What was Asian about that! No skill and poor quality!! Value for money was apauling! Cheap food so over priced! It was worth around £10 each but cost us £45 each! Feel like it was a rip off! Would never go here again!

Extremely disappointing. Booked for the live cooking experience, was really looking forward to it, but after 40 mins of waiting for our table, with no explanation from staff about why it was so delayed, and when we will eventually be seated. We gave up and sat downstairs and just had a Chinese, which was a 3/10. And no compensation given for the extreme inconvenience. We were really looking forward to the love cooking experience, but have honestly nothing good to say about this place.

First time at 3 levels and I cannot recommend it enough. Seen a few videos on Facebook but it far exceeded our expectations for our first dining experience. On arrival, we were greeted by Sam on the third floor. The service he provided from the minute we arrived was second to none. An absolute credit to the company. The live cooking was very entertaining. Dion was fantastic. Not only was the food absolutely delicious, he was a great showman and made sure we were well looked after. Our experience was definitely made by both Dion and Sam. Cannot thank you enough for not only great food, but a fantastic dining experience. Definitely be back soon.

Very fun experience and great food. I went in with high expectations and left without feeling disappointed. The show was good fun and the food was cooked amazingly, seeing it cook in front of us was fun too. Overall I would highly recommend.

Got a takeaway from here a couple of months ago and was delicious. Same meal tonight and it was awful. The picture below is chicken with peking sauce. Unrecognizable. Very disappointing.

We booked this for a Sunday night. Restaurant wasn’t busy but staff were super friendly and food was delicious. Big portions so go hungry!!! I booked in advance and had to chance the time of my booking on the day, speedy email response which was really helpful.

Doubt you can legally call it a vegetable spring roll if it's a shaving of a carrot between 6 and slimy bean sprouts.greasy tasteless Chow mein . Avoid avoid avoid.

Couldn't rate this place any higher, myself and my girlfriend visited back in August, she had sushi, and I had fried duck, which was prepared in front of us by Dion, who was friendly, funny, and highly talented! Indeed all the staff were exceptionally friendly, couldn't rate any higher

This was rotten through delivery. The soft noodles tasted like dirty dishwater, the curry sauce resembled that which will come out of the person of brave enough to eat it in the first place. It’s gelatinous skin could not save the flavourless fried rice and “salted chilli chicken.” Absolutely a waste of money. Gutted.

This is an interesting place to review. Great friendly staff A real experience having food cooked in front of you, a huge fire on a hot plate,the chef making an event of the whole thing. Throwing a piece of egg into each willing person's mouth was fun and it was a happy evening !! But..... The food was merely adequate at best,which was a real shame. At £29.50 per head it was a show more than a meal. Food really needs updating in today's competitive restaurant market. Fun was literally a smokescreen for a below average meal. A shame as the staff were lovely people

We was very pleased with the sushi. However the teppanyaki food was not as satisfying. And we really enjoyed live cooking.

Ate on level 3 with food cooked in front of you, very dramatic and interesting to watch. Had set menu, starter great variety and very tasty. Meat very tender and cooked as instructed . Unfortunately I personally I really did not like the taste of the sauce on food which I'd never had before and that's why I've given 3 for food. Only my personal taste, the rest of the party loved it. Staff wonderful.

This is the most authentic Chinese menu. We have been here a couple of times since moving back from China and it is great food - especially the cucumber salad and long beans with pork and chilli - they are great dishes.

Even tho the food was great, the rest was a joke. We were sittings for dinner. First they didn't let us read the menu and was very stressed. Then when we did ordered(4 min max, after 3 different people asked us) They said they didn't have it and if it's ok something else,we said ok. Then they came again and said they don't have it.. Finally they had something, they cooked it - wonderful, tasty. Non stop coming to the table to ask if everything ok/staring at you.. And then, when other tables started to go, they started to clean the floor.. It was smelling like soup. We bearly even finished the food and we just went up and left. Disgusting behavior. I worked many years in gas to in many restaurants, never treated a guest so disgusting. Left with a horrible taste in the mouth.

Visited for a friend's birthday nice atmosphere and the show was great. Food was medium tasting depending on price but overall good experience.

We ordered online through Uber Eats, and received the worst Chinese we’ve ever tasted, we couldn’t eat any of it. We had been to sit in for teppanyaki before, and we enjoyed that and saw downstairs there was a regular menu which seemed to have a lot of Asian people dining (good sign). Thought would be a nice take-out. So so so wrong. The rice..it seemed like it was over-cooked (really large grains, think orzo) and was slimy/wet. The honey chilli chicken was not in ‘crispy batter’, it was in very very soggy batter that slid off greasily. Chicken in the curry was very processed. The ribs/dumplings/spring rolls - all tasted same /of nothing. We paid sitting-in restaurant prices for take away thinking we would get a slightly better meal than our normal take out, but that was so far from the case. Avoid at all costs for take-out.

I’ve been to the live cooking show about 4 times and it never disappoints!! Staff are so friendly and entertaining and the food is great! Such a great atmosphere. Starters are live cooking show are lovely and the mains are amazing, particularly the squid and salmon and the steak!

Food was very nice. Was only offered a £30 party menu instead of the regular menu which we weren't told. We were also sat right next to another party which was kind of weird and ruined the mood. Quite expensive considering what was ordered.

Ordered a mega box from the Chinese part and it was disgusting the ribs were like chewing leather the chips not salt and chillie the salt and chillie chicken was popcorn chicken and the spring rolls were cremated

I ordered sushi and got this abomination. Even the cat wouldn't eat it. How does it go from looking like some of the other photos on here, which in fairness look great, to whatever this is in the space of a car ride is anyones guess. Unless it was eaten and then regurgitated on the way here?

We had our first visit to three levels on valentines night. The soup and starter were just ok. I thought the chairs were quite close together for the shared event and would have like some extra space. The game part before the main meal was fun. The main meal was cooked live in front of us. The dessert was nice.

We were on the top floor. Chefs were amazing, very entertaining getting everyone involved, food was great, good variety on their set menu, service was spot on and all the staff were very friendly. Will definitely visit again. Highly recommend for all ages.

Second time being here. This time with my husband & he agrees the food here is to die for. Loved everything about it. We did the Japanese Tepenayki I got the salmon which is just so tasty. The chefs put on a performance for you too. Highly recommended 👌

If you want a cold, uncomfortable venue, with poor food, and scripted staff all for only 40 quid per head, Three Levels has it all. Having a lifelong love for Japanese culture and cuisine, I had low expectations before eating at 3 levels, the menu looked much more a fusion than actual Japanese food, and I was afraid the showmanship was the reason for the good reviews rather than the food. Unfortunately I was correct, the food is very mediocre and lacks the richness and depth of flavour of authentic Japanese cuisine. We were booked for 7 and it took 30 minutes before food began to be served, even though it was a set menu! We had a very familiar miso soup to start, which I enjoyed, as I do the one from tescos, no difference, no depth. Then a platter of starters which were great, 3/4 weren't Japanese, but you can't go wrong with Mae Ploy sweet chili sauce! For main, very bad cuts of overcooked duck, and overcooked, salmon with some tasteless veg thrown on top. The dessert must have been in high demand as the portion was miniscule. The rice was really good. As for the showmanship, things were a bit spoiled when the chefs were following a script, announcing in advance "everyone, we're going to do fire now" and "Now we are going to do some juggling". On top of that, the place was very cold, as others have said before, and when we complained to management they said they could do nothing about it. We honestly felt cheated upon leaving, well done Three Levels.

After looking at the menu and seeing that little of what was on offer was Japanese (or none at all, just a portion of sushi). Well the menu is £35 so at least it will be good we thought, it will be special. Well no, the miso soup had little miso in it, it tasted like salted water, but it was hot and it was really appreciated. Then the starters, on the menu there was a spring roll but only half of it came, the duck was overcooked, the sushi and the other one were good. After the starters it was about 40 minutes before we were served the main course. In this time I went to complain because it was cold, the answer is that the heat was taken away by the heaters... it was cold, people dined in coats. The show was entertaining but lasted only 5 minutes, they played a few games and then went straight to cooking. The salmon was nothing special... the duck was preheated, it came out of the kitchen already cooked and they simply heated it up on the griddle. Finally, the desserts were laughable... a pound coin is bigger than a pound coin. When paying we were not even asked how was the dinner, they charged us and goodbye. I WILL NEVER COME BACK IN MY LIFE, please seriously if you know anything about asian food don't get ripped off.... By the way, it's a very small place, your legs almost fit when you sit down, it's winter and people are wearing coats, there was no place to hang things or leave hats... I guess it was a hint for you to wear them.

Great food and lovely well mannered staff. The cooking demonstration was very enjoyable. The kids loved it. A brilliant experience spoiled by the room temperature which was cold. The toilets were absolutely freezing. Such a pity as I would not leave the warmth of my home to go back there.

Very good value and exceptionally good food which if you choose can be cooked in front of you by two very accomplished chefs. Great atmosphere and well located. Can be very busy but that's can be taken as a good sign. £35 set menu with the option of a supplement if you choose lobster or fillet steak. Very reasonable. Plenty of drinks options also.

I once ate in the restaurant and I thought the food was quit nice. I just ordered a delivery and it felt like we had ordered from a completely different restaurant. 2 dishes cost £30 and they were simply tragic for the price. Duck and fried chicken drowned in fake-tasting gloopy sauce - I've had far better Chinese meals for £6 a portion, and not £13! Never again.

So pleased with everything. Never looked for service. It was always there, which makes a lovely night. 6 people. On the bill, they charged 10% service charge. I'm very happy with that. They deserved it. We were mainly on the set menu. Loads of food for us. We shared everything and we all loved the food. Well done!

It was an amazing Teppanyaki live cooking, the children got to engage with the amazing chef and tried to catch eggs in the hat. The food was very tasty and well done. Everyone enjoyed the evening and the staff is very attentive.

I would never go back to this place again. Wanted to have a good dinner on my wife’s birthday. We booked the 9PM slot on a Wednesday. By the time we got there, the whole place was deserted and we were presented with only some party menu which was 30£ per person. It offers a soup/salad followed by a 4 PIECE starters and a main dish. We were not informed/presented with a la crate menu. We ordered the party menu. After we sat down, as we were the only ones in the restaurant, the staffs started cleaning the the rest of the live counters and the floor with chemicals. A chef made our main course in the live cooking grill which was just in in front of us. The food was just okay. While we were eating the main course, the staffs poured the cleaning solutions in the grill and started cleaning them. It felt as that we were eating in an restaurants kitchen after the workers shift with cleaning going on in parallel.

Fantastic food and atmosphere. Chefs were brilliant . Highly recommended . Would definitely go back when we visit Belfast again .

Disappointed, as a party of 2 they sat us in middle of 2 big parties and give us a large party set menu, would not let us order from normal menu which is extremely disappointing, the normal menu looked great and we were excited to try some of the dishes on there, none of which were on the limited set menu. Soup was like drinking salty fishy water, the next starter course was very small, cold and greasy. Wish we were told previously we could not order from normal menu. Staff were lovely and friendly could not fault them otherwise, our issue was with menu and food

We had the Japanese option for 5 of us. Very enjoyable and pretty reasonably priced. A good way to spend an afternoon. Nice sized portions too, just right.

First time here. And we went for the Japanese option. As long as you're ok with a very loud, extroverted experience, you'll be fine. They cook your order in front of you. Quite honestly don't get the hype people associate with it. Got there 10 mins before our reservation and were seated like sardines in a tin. Drinks orders were taken relatively quickly, however, our proper order was never taken until 25 minutes later and I had to call them to take our order when we seen tables that were seated after us were getting their orders taken. There was a set course and the time in which they were served couldve been better planned. We hadn't even finished eating the appetiser and the starter came out. And it's not like there were a lack of staff, plenty of times there where there were 2 and 3 staff members just standing and and talking. Because the mains were being cooked in front of us, we assumed they'd take a bit longer, but didn't expect 30 mins after the 2 first courses. I had ordered the steak with mushrooms, asparagus, and a sesame sauce, and that is not what I was served. All the meats being cooked were cooked in the same plum and orange sauce, and I got literally 2 tiny pieces of asparagus, and no sesame sauce. £30 per person and not even dessert was included. Definitely won't be back.

Had a great night at 3 levels Japanese teppanyaki. Would highly recommend especially for a special occasion. The staff were all very friendly and couldn't do enough. Our chef was great at entertaining us with his tricks and cooked our food to perfection.

We had a brilliant meal here. The food is high quality and delicious. The highlight for us was our chef Paul who went above and beyond to include our children. At first, my daughter was terrified of the fire but he was so brilliant with her and by the end he made a special fire just for her to prove she wasn’t scared anymore. A real 5* experience!
