Clay pot is a must get - it is authentic. The aroma and textures are perfect. The owner is super friendly and chill, she has offered best services I have gotten from any restaurant in Ireland / north Ireland. If you contemplate between lees garden across the street and this restaurant, definitely come here as the other restaurant is at least three stars below this one.

The sushi was average, and the rice casserole was quite bad, the rice was overcooked, the meat was rare and boney, and very little sauce. We came guided by the good reviews but what a disappointment and not at all recommended.

So good we ate here two nights in a row! We ate here when we were visiting Belfast. Great food, lovely friendly staff, calm relaxed atmosphere. We had bento boxes the first night and a selection of things, shared among the family the second night. All was delicious and delivered with a smile. Thank you

Sushi cafe is a hidden gem in Belfast. As a visitor, it was my first time to visit this city and dine here. Staff were hospitable to serve us. I had ordered 12 pieces sushi, BBQ pork ramen and a claypot rice with pork. My husband loves it and even drank the whole bowl of soup. After a while, my claypot rice was served in a sizzling bowl. I was amazed as this rice can ease my homesick and I could even taste some scorched rice at the bottom. The pork was spectacular and tender. I love it. Thank you for the lovely dinner x

The interior was very clean. The tables were clean and staff was kind. The bathroom was very clean too. The food was absolutely delicious 🤤. Will Definitely Come Back

The BBQ chicken tokatsu soup ramen was amazing. Highly recommended, sushi is fresh. This place is a good Asian addition to Belfast.

Awesome food, lovely couple! They serve rice pots, which we call “claypot rice” back in where I come from and it is absolutely a must try. The lady boss was extremely transparent with the 30 min waiting time, and we were surprising when it actually came within the agreed timeframe. Note that it is cash only tho!

Had 3 items clay pot (chicken and Chinese mushroom; cured pork belly; pork mince and Chinese pickles). Was very tasty. Pretty reasonably priced too.

The food was amazing! I had the salmon and avocado platter and it was delicious. The costumer service was amazing, they're really kind people. The place is really nice and the music is nice too! I would really recommend! It's a very very nice spot :)

The sushis are good, quality and the owner is polite. The ambience is nice. Prices are a bit expensive, probably due to its prime location. Will recommend for a quality food. Ensure to first check if they take cash/card.

I'm sorry to say the sushi we got for takeaway was just average. We really wanted to like it, but it was disappointing. For a start they charged us more than if we were sitting in!!! Doesn't make sense! 1/3 of the sushi mix was tasteless avocado and crab stick... No better than the supermarkets dish up and lastly there was very little pickled ginger Included... That's just mean.

Great place, brilliant food, very attentive staff, very well priced, cannot find a thing wrong with it! 10 out of 10! Next time in Belfast definitely will return, in fact, can’t wait!

Went here for the first time on Saturday got the ramen pork noodle soup and it didn't disappoint staff friendly and it's easy on the pocket

I tried this cafe for their lunch deal for £9.90 and got plenty of delicious food. There was a chicken skewer which was nice and smoky and miso soup along with the sushi. There was also a mug of green tea included while you wait for your food. I really enjoyed my meal and will come again.

Went with my family and my 2 kids really enjoyed it. I got assorted sushi and kids got bento box and a chicken teriyaki with rice. Serving was good size. The only thing I would like to see is a salmon sushi assortment (nigiri, sashimi, maki roll) and some kid meal options. The sushi was fresh and we all enjoyed the meal. My son is asking when we can go back again.

Fabulous restaurant, we each had a bento box and the pork and chicken were incredible, perfectly cooked with so much flavour. Also the gyoza were the best I’ve ever had! Great value for money and the service was flawless! We will be back soon to try the clay pot rice 😍

We had Yudon noodles with bbq pork and claypot rice with ribs first visit. Then on second visit claypot pork mince and rice with bbq pork. Both occasions food was exceptional and large portions. Had to take some home. Bit of a wait because food is prepared fresh to order. Venue is quite small.

Food is great. The girl at the counter even better. But in 2023 in a restaurant having to pay just by cash is ridiculous. Get yourself a card payment option. I know having to pay tax can be scary, but let customer be able to pay with card as well, I’m sure your business will do better.

This hidden gem is the place to go to for Hong Kong Style Clay Pot rice (煲仔飯）in Belfast. Serves decent sushi and Japanese rolls too. Very friendly staff. They accept cash payment only but there is a handy ATM machine at the neighbouring Istanbul store. Will definitely be back soon 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

An amazing lunch!! I got the king prawn tempura sushi roll and a seaweed salad which was just amazing. Best sushi I have had in Belfast- can’t wait to return.

What a wonderful spot I discovered at the Shaftesbury Square end of Botanic Avenue. Very impressive menu and the food was simply some of the best I've ever had the delight to enjoy. The staff were friendly, helpful and approachable, presenting us with platter upon platter of delicious, freshly prepared delights including sushi, sashimi and ramen bowls brimming with steaming, noodle soup. It won't be long until I return for another visit.

Absolutely awful spent £35 and it was barely edible. Salmon and Tuna was going off, absolutely ridiculous that you thought it was acceptable to serve this to customers as it could potentially make someone extremely ill!

Was greeted with smiles as soon as i arrived with a very help lady always recommending whats best and delivering with a great smile ordered the bbq pork ramen soup with some sushi both was well presented and tasted amazing 10/10 and finished it with a cappuccino which was very well brewed will definitely be my favourite Japanese eat in/cafe definitely class this as a 5 star restaurant :))

A super new sushi and ramen gem! Special Bbq eel maki (pictured) was a winner. The sirlion &ramen soup bowl was just perfect ,we went for the recommended pork broth and it did not disappoint, full of rich umami flavour and soothing salty goodness. We shared a portion of sizzling hot gyoza too as it's a favourite dish of ours, & have to say game on Zen... sushi cafe have beaten you on the best gyoza in Belfast. Great

Really good quality sashimi and sushi here. Sashimi pieces were so juicy, fresh and delicious. Their sushi were also great, my favourite is Unagi rolls. Highly recommend this place to all sushi/sashimi lovers!

Came across this superb sushi place today opposite Botanic station. I have eaten in all the Japanese restaurants in Belfast and this is the best. Only opened a couple of weeks ago. No license but BYO (£2 wine and £1 per can). All very fresh and tasty . Speciality is the house prepared barbecue eel, excellent. Also does takeaway. Will be back,soon!

Esta noche me tomo uno de mis amigos para su primera aventura de sushi. El servicio en Casa de Sushi es fenomenal. La calidad del sushi recién hecho es bastante buena. El chef de sushi es increíblemente hábil y si dado los ingredientes que fácilmente puede ser uno de los mejores restaurantes de sushi en Belfast. Pedimos Takoyaki que de la cocina estaba fría por dentro, y el pulpo dentro era todavía algo helada, pero esa es mi única queja e incluso todavía el sabor era muy bueno. El chef era tan increíblemente amable y se ofreció a confeccionar sushi para nuestra próxima visita a deshacerse del sabor (algas nori/) que mi amigo no le gustó. Sin duda comer en este restaurante de nuevo.

My favorite Sushi in Belfast. Very fussy about my sushi but this place is just the best. Always so fresh and well made. Have never sat in though. We either have it delivered or call and take out. Couldn't fault it.

La Sal y el Chili costillas para empezar casi me lleno, y el pato crujiente con 8 rollos de Sushi de pepino y eran deliciosos. La comida viene cuando listo puede encontrar tanto entrante y plato principal, mientras que otras se congregaron en la mesa están esperando la suya, pero no se lo puede perder. 2 entrantes 28 libras, 2 platos principales y algunas bebidas.

No siempre el mejor lugar para una solución de sushi en Belfast era Zen. Pero, chico, tienen Sushi House ganó por una milla!

Pedí de este restaurante y nos llevó unos 30 minutos más para llegar, el conductor me llamó a 4 veces o más de lo que mi dirección era, la señora no podía comprender mis direcciones innumerables veces, así que tenía que bajar a indicar mi dirección a otra persona a través del teléfono. El servicio que se da es realmente lentificar y realmente es una mierda porque la comida que se sirve es de un nivel alto, aunque es caro. Aconsejaría que si desea pedir comida de este lugar por favor no entrega.

En general los lugares japonesa que se puede encontrar en el centro de la ciudad, este pequeño humilde lugar es un gran descubrimiento. Sólo ve dentro y tomar un asiento, la comida está muy bien hecho y servido. No se puede encontrar esa calidad por sus precios para nada cerca. Además, tienen cervezas de Japón tal Asahi y Kirin, uno de mis hoteles favoritos. Muy recomendable.

Pedimos comida grande para un cansado y hambriento grupo. Nos llevó una hora y media en llegar por que la comida caliente de escenario estaba fría fue comida fría y caliente. Una comida en £11,50 falta completamente. Cuando llamé para pedir la comida que falta re aseguró que se haría otra. Más de media hora más tarde hombre de entrega llegamos con un plato Dumpling, no falta el bento de curry. Se llama nuevamente, les pedimos que restitución mi tarjeta el importe de bento, me dijeron que me teléfono volver ... todavía estamos esperando. EVITAR!!!! Todavía cansados, sigue teniendo hambre y ahora más de £100 decayendo :(

Me and my bf stopped in for an early dinner/ late lunch before the cinema. It was quiet and the food was tasty and surprisingly filling. quieter than Sakura which is what we fancied for the evening. Would recommend.

Me and my friends arrived quite late and while one of them was unable to get ramen noodles, the udon was really delicious and the prices were very reasonable and the service was fast

I had the egg maki, seabass nigiri, salmon and avocado sushi roll, and a green tea. The food was all delicious and fresh. The only improvement I would make is pickled ginger for the table, instead of the small bit you're given on the side of the plate. I'm sure if I'd asked for more they'd have given it to me though. Service was speedy and the staff were polite and welcoming. Calm atmosphere.

I've spent time in Japan and have eaten in all the Japanese restaurants in Belfast and this is the closest to the real thing. Sushi is great and the hot dishes superb. For the negative review of the take away I recommend eating in the restaurant to eat it fresh. Highly recommended!

Wonderful sushi and amazing value. Delighted Belfast finally has a good, affordable sushi place. Atmosphere could be a bit warmer - but the sushi and friendly service more than makes up for it.I'll be back.

Takeaway late (took an hour to get from botanic to stranmillis), so food was lukewarm at best. Tempura was incredibly watery, and the batter was basically like batter from a bad chip shop. Sauces were strange and smelled off. The ramen tasted uniformly of lemon. The curry was actually nice, but it says something about a restaurant when something being not bland, sickening or inedible is a surprise. Even the rice wasn't great - microwavable Uncle Ben's would have been better. How could someone make bad rice?We stated several times that we are vegetarian and asked several times if the items we ordered had meat/fish, and were told they were fine. Despite this there was meat inside certain items. Lying to customers doesn't make them come back.Don't listen to 5 star reviews of this place. I'm starting to think there have been some... let's say biased reviews on here and other places of this "restaurant".In summary, avoid this restaurant. The worst Japanese food I have ever eaten. Stick with Sakura. The prices are the same, but the food is incomparably better.

I've been to Japan and eaten sushi in a dozen other countries... This is the local place I keep going back to. Much better than Sakura or Yo Sushi for quality & price!Honestly, try these guys. Can't recommend them enough

I stopped in on the way home on a Sunday afternoon. Sushi sounded good. I got there after the lunch rush, so I was alone in the restaurant. Not ideal, but I was so hungry! I ordered hot green tea, edamame, the Dark Dragon Roll and the Rainbow Roll. The menu said these were large rolls. They were huge. Each piece was a two-biter. Tasty? Yes. But I should've taken the menu's word for it. I couldn't finish. As I was the only customer, it felt like the owners (husband, wife and son?) were watching me eat the whole time. Awkward. I'd like to see what the place is like when it's full. It probably has a better atmosphere than what I experienced.

Tried out this new sushi place at the top of botanic avenue. They have a variety of sushi as well as bento boxes and variety of ramen dishes. Nigri dishes including the scallops were fantastic quality. Will definitely be back.

I've been missing Ginger Tree since it was shut down and I think we have a worthy replacement. Sushi House occupies the former Teatro just up from the post office and has a great looking menu including sushi, rice and noodles. Admittedly quiet when I was there last week I really enjoyed the bento box with chicken katsu - a great portion for the decent price of £11, the friend I was with ordered sushi and soba noodles and both looked great also. I look forward to returning again soon

Sushi House is located in the pretty building which formerly housed Teatro Cabaret Restaurant.It offers authentic Japanese food - bento, ramen and of course sushi. There are so many items on the menu I want to try! My partner and I both opted for beef brisket ramen, it was delicious and filling.The bentos are a bit on the pricey side (around £10) but may well be worth it. Service was quick and friendly. Only suggestion would be to maybe have some background music to create atmosphere when the restaurant is quieter, and also to have some special lunch deal prices to lure in customers, who I'm sure will be become regular patrons.
