First time ordering delivery and was very disappointed. Beef was dry and overdone and portions were minimal, the chips had less than half a box for nearly £6, only dish that tasted pleasant was the chicken noodle. Was it worth £25 i think not, best to eat in as quality delivered was poor.

I love Yo! But this has and always will be the worst location I’ve ever been to. The food is consistently a lesser quality than of other locations. The kitchen always looks a mess and seems unsanitary. But above all the service was absolutely terrible. Two of us walked in and were told to sit wherever by the server waving her hand around. She sat us and informed us of the new table service system and said she’d be back to take our order. She did not return for ages and had to be called back for our order as she sat other tables and messed around with kitchen staff. Our server was a young Asian woman who I have not seen before on evening of 6/3. Took our order and asked for some forks. We received all of our food before I got my forks, drinks or miso soup. She informed us that the kitchen would be closing soon and to order anything else we wanted to quickly and then went onto ignore us for twenty minutes. Instead of bringing our drinks she busied herself sweeping and chatting with the kitchen staff, made eye contact with us several times and ignored us. Finally managed to order the last dish we wanted before the kitchen closed but absolutely shocking service, I’ve never experienced anything so bad. I will never come back to this location purely because of this.

I asked if it was made fresh or taken from the prepacked refrigerated section. The employee said fresh, and pointed to the chefs in the center of the conveyor belt. Then, we placed the order and he started taking things out of the refrigerated section. I asked him why he lied to me and he tried acting like we didn't tell me it was made fresh and sneered at me. I used to eat here all the time. No more now.

Went here with a friend to eat out. We did go when it was quieter so there weren't that many people in the restaurant. Got seated right away and explained how to order in no time flat. It had been a while since I went out to eat at a YO! Sushi place, but I think I can safely say my experience was pleasant. Food overall was good. Ordered my personal favourite dish, the Chicken Katsu Curry. Food service was fast, I didn't have to wait any longer than 5 minutes after ordering. My main complaint would be the drink sizes since they felt a little smaller than the last time I was at a YO! Sushi restaurant. Overall though a good meal and good experience.

Do NOT waste your time in here, this place was horrible not only was it expensive but the customer service was absolutely atrocious. I'm deeply disappointed. And I can't also forget how when I wanted to ask the staff for something they ignored me, and I know that you may be thinking that I was just being quite or I wasn't speaking loud enough but that is NOT the case as I was sitting right next to them, I was right under their noses. And don't even get me started on the service, it took them a whole 30 minutes for our order to arrive, we were starving, hungry waiting for the food to arrive and the Food was not even good!So I highly recommend for everyone to stay far far away from this place, trust me its not worth any of your money or time. So I hope everyone has a lovely day and a happy new year❤

Went there to have lunch with my family and what a horrible service. My daughter ramen took forever to came and when it came, was wrong. Then another 20 minutes waiting for her food while everyone had their own food at the table. Ordered a miso soup which is suppose to be “unlimited” it’s only “unlimited if the waiter is patient enough to bring it to you, otherwise you have only one pot during your lunch. Overall horrible service and won’t came back, they might not care losing one costumer but I was a regular as my kids love sushi.

Managed to book a table for 26th of Dec for 1pm!!! I even got a reminder about the booking... Happy days...happy daughter...untill we realised Yo! Watford is CLOSED on Boxing day. Now I ask myself: how can you book something when the restaurant is closed?!? And that reminder?! What a joke on Boxing Day!!! Disappointed!!!

Great variety and quality of food! All kitchen and waiting staff amazing service from welcoming us to leaving the restaurant. Unfortunately the layout of the restaurant for people waiting to be seated is diabolical. A family of 4 ( 2 adults 2 girls (10-12) were waiting to be seated and were staring at my wife the entire time, and even had the audacity to say to each other “she’s taking the piss” about my wife ordering more food and drinks for our little boy. This completely ruin the experience as we were there for our son’s pre birthday lunch. This happened on 09.12.2023 around 17:30. We love the place, but now not sure if worth going back to :/

LOVELY FOOD! Me and my family love coming to Yo Sushi so we went here on a Saturday around 1pm, When we hit rush hour which was partly our fault, But we ordered the Chicken Teriyaki Ramen and the Chicken Katsu Curry, The waiter said they were out of stock but checked for us regardless and it was in stock after all! Both of our meals came out minutes after each other so we enjoyed a Family meal. We liked the food so much we ate it before we could start taking photos! Food 10/10 Customer Service 10/10 Wait time 6/10 Atmosphere 7/10 Hygiene 5/10 Overall 7.6/10

absolutely shocking customer service. staff seemed more interested in talking amongst themselves and sitting down than helping customers. Not sure why - wasn’t overly busy or understaffed. It took nearly 30 minutes to get anyone to take my order INCLUDING A DRINK. another 30 minutes = only one item showed up so i left. people were seated around me, orders taken, food arrived and they departed - felt invisible. when I left they still hadn’t started making the 2nd item I ordered 30 MINUTES after I ordered it, ONE HOUR after I arrived.

Sat down to eat, but due to a mix up and needing to get to our film we had to leave without ordering. I had to go back twice to get things id left by mistake, in and out quickly. When I went back some people working there made passive aggressive comments, and spoke about me and my friend like we weren't in the room. I'm sure it was annoying we had to go back without ordering, but if they had an issue they could have raised it verbally or asked why we needed to enter again. Instead they behaved rudely and maturely. The people who were preparing the food had nothing to do with this and seemed to be working very hard.

It can get very busy (particularly in weekends) and you may need to wait to be seated. On a couple of occasions there were a few people waiting to be seated and we were told that a table could be offered to us in about an hour or so; we ended up going somewhere else as it was a long waiting time. Apart from that, the food is good and tasty. Depending on what you order, you may end up paying a good few tens of pounds for 2 people (and not necessarily get a lot of food). The alcoholic drinks menu could be expanded as it’s not much to choose from.

I must admit we were a bit disappointed that they have changed the way they do things at the Watford Yo Sushi, No Food goes around the travelator so you can't just pick up what you want when you want it, instead you get to use an APP that you you have to create a user and password, choose your food and pay. You can of course order from a menu but we thought we would try the app, it was a pain-full process. Some of the drinks were missing from the online menu and that was because they were not in stock. The Rice turned up 10 minutes before the rest of the food. The delivery of the rest of the food to the table was slow with one dish turning up at a time. The food was tasty but some of the meat was tough. Unfortunately we won't be rushing back as the experience was just not we were used to. Whoever decided to change the format of the food delivery has made a big mistake.

The staff was very friendly and explained the works very clearly to a pair of first-timers like us. The service was efficient, and it is fun being able to see the cooks make the food in the middle of the bar. The food tasted great. The pumpkin katsu was delicious, but there wasn't a lot of the curry on teh rice. We were really happy with the rolls as well, both the california and katsu, but the portions are quite small and we had to wait rather long to get our tap water, which we needed after the spicy katsu rolls. A nice place overall, I might come again and change my rating, but it is a strong 4.3 ⭐ for now.

I visited "YO! Sushi & fresh Japanese food" for lunch. I ordered the Chicken Katsu Curry and the Korean Fried Chicken with a diet coke. I was pleased to see that the restaurant associates sprayed/wiped down the tables after patrons were finished eating and wore masks. The food was good and the ambiance was nice with modern music playing. They have a cooler with "grab and go" items available for a quick meal and drink. I would definitely come back to YO!

Enjoyed most the hot dishes and felt the sushi was reasonable. Our faves were the gyoza, popcorn shrimp and the Japanese fried chicken. I was quite disappointed with the service as we had to prompt for basics such as soy sauce, wasabi and ginger for our sushi. Wasn’t too impressed that I asked for something and the staff member just carried on cleaning so I had to ask another person for the item. Would return if there was an improvement to service

The worst yo shushi every, i had better from waitrose then this, you shouldn't go to this place, very small Portions and even in some on fish in it and the food was even fresh. The stuff wasn't any help either, taking to each other not even giving chopsticks or ginger, I have to ask for every small thing, one of the waiter was eating in front of me, and when i ordered few beer bottles and he bring can on beer not even cold, even they forgot to bring to of my orders. If you what to try some good Japanese food in Watford you should try kokoro it's my 2 mins away from yo shushi, I want there after yo sushi cause we were still hungry...

Very poor. The restaurant is dirty and untidy. Old grease stuck in crevices by your table. Random boxes and liquid spills on the floor. The waiting staff are disorganised and spend their time chatting. They literally do nothing, but there is still a service charge. Most of the food is ok, but nothing of note. It's also very expensive, for what you would normally consider cheap snacks

Getting seated was actually quick which was great. Food was okay. Service was horrendous. For a pretty empty restaurant chatting with each other or sitting staring into space seems to be more important than remembering to bring chopsticks, wasabi, or asking if any customers need anything/enjoy their meals. In fact just let all the plates pile up. There was one lad that was actually clearing things away but the rest… god! Will stick to wagamamas from now. Came to yo regularly but remember why we stopped after today! In fact it was also pretty messy in the place if you looked around

Food was lovely. What a shame about the service, looking through the recent past comments, it’s the same situation! Do you guys not listen and learn?! Booked a table for 6 of us for 7pm, to be told we have 15 mins left to order the rest of our food, which made it 7:50pm, even though they’re advertised to close at 9pm and could of let us know when we booked our table or even when we walked in. They reason why, because you were short staffed with 7 staff, standing around doing nothing. Considering you are an open kitchen, do you forget that customers can see, especially when you pull faces when our order came through on your screen like it was an inconvenience for you make. Asked someone for some tissues which were not received till we finished after asking again. Also found it difficult to get a member of staffs attention as he was listening to music through his ear buds. I’d never go to that establishment again this is our first and it will be our last time visiting !

Overpriced and not particularly yummy. The place looks like it is a traditional conveyor belt, but actually it is not - they use the conveyor to deliver your prepaid order to your table. Would not recommend. Though the staff are nice.

Their new system ordering via the QR code really takes away from the old Yo Sushi experience. Won't be returning again unless is reverts back to its old converter belt system. It actually makes you realise how sub-par the food is and how much the atmosphere makes up for the taste.

My 6 year old grandaughter loves it here and she wanted to take me there. Not having had Japanese food before I was apprehensive but I neednt of been. The food arrived in bowls and even though they were fairly small the food was delicious and very filling. Prices are very reasonable, around £25 for 2 adults and a child with drinks. Will definitely go back here, lovely staff, nice atmosphere and great food.

We went on Monday evening around 8pm. It was very quiet and we were told the kitchen closed in 20 mins and to order quickly. We did and the food was to the usual standard and came quickly. The kitchen staff were visibly disappointed at having to start cooking again. They gave us one wrong item. We tried to tell the staff but they didn't seem interested. We couldn't be bothered to push the point. Overall we felt rushed which is shame. The restaurant close time was 9pm so I don't think there was a need to hurry us that much.

I have been a Yo Sushi customer for many years eating at a number of different locations. Today was the most disappointing. The portions of sushi roll have more or less been cut in half with the prices remaining the same, the other dishes we had lacked in freshness and the same quality and flavour I have had in the past. Spending £50, I would expect a far better meal than my wife and I had. Very disappointed. Since leaving the above review I was contacted by customer services and offered a voucher towards another experience which was appreciated. Lets hope next time the food is better quality as previous visits and the sushi rolls are not so small.
