Number one, am a great lover of Sushi, I follow Sushi Videos on YT addictively, and have visited many Sushi restaurants across the world, and a few Yo Sushi restaurants in the UK. This on this occasion was the poorest. We visited this branch as in town to visit relatives, and my Wife had a voucher which we could use at Yo Sushi. The service initially was good, fairly attentive and as we knew how to order and hungry, we got on with meal. Very little choice was evident on the Conveyor. The Restaurant was quiet for a Sunday afternoon and maybe reflected by a Christmas Fair in the streets surrounding, but at one point, the only availble dishes (All Grey Dishes, so most expensive), and this at one point consisted of about six dishes on Conveyor. We therefore ordered two bowls of Katsu Curry. My Wife's Regular Chicken Bowl was good. My large Prawn Bowl was beautiful and freshly cooked. But.....that was it. Their was no other bowls availble on Conveyor and trying to catch Waitress eye to order was nigh impossible. We wanted to spend more money but despite money in our pockets to burn, we could not spend. We observed the Waitress take 10 minutes to clean one table, partially because she spent most of time, talking to Chefs and wiping same patch over and over again. A table of three next to the highly cleaned table, were waiting to give orders, and we then decided to cut short our visit. My Wife had to get up, walk around Restaurant and follow Waitress to ask her to provide bill as we still could not get her to our side of Restaurant. To top off this afternoon. The Voucher my Wife had received on leaving a place of work, could not be redeemed. This was not Yo Sushi's fault, but just about topped afternoon visit off for us. I would go back to Yo Sushi again, but not this branch in Royal Leamington Spa. Really, really poor, except for a good bowl of Katsu.

We came to the restaurant as a family, and enjoyed the fresh food and good selection. Some of the younger staff members could do with being a little more enthusiastic/personable, but we had very good service and interaction from the manager. Will definitely return.

Went a couple of weeks ago with my family and the waiter couldn't have been more helpful accommodating our 5 year old autistic son's plain dietary requests. He had a kids meal but wanted no sushi, no edamame and no sauce with a few chips and plain rice. We had a great time because his special needs were catered for willingly, however this time the waitress was very dismissive of this and made us order via the app where we couldn't give the special instructions. She refused the same request again despite my son wanting far less than what's offered as a kids meal. I work in hospitality and this is not how you treat disabled customers with special needs. For me the experience left us feeling like we were asking for too much and taking the pee. We had thought that we found a restaurant to add to the list of places we can go eat as a family that catered for our sons food issues, oh how wrong we were. We will not be visiting yo sushi again due to this awful treatment of us and a perfectly reasonable request to cater for a young child with a disability. The girl in question needs some serious customer service training, her attitude was well and truly awful

This is our first visit since the restaurant has gone back to it's original format of the food going around on the belt. Our grandsons like this as they like seeing the food go by but I have to say I had got used to ordering on the app and I prefer it. We didn't think the food was as good as usual. Katsu prawns were disappointing and we'd ordered 4 portions. We were seated at the far-side of the restaurant so very difficult to get anyone's attention. we had to ask someone to clear some things off our table as we were running out of room. As we ordered some food on the app and picked up dishes off the belt you can no longer just pay the bill on the app. Table, menus and soy sauce bottle were all sticky. Not sure we will be going back

Don’t go if your hungry I have visited Yo sushi, maybe 6 times over the last couple of years, Hoping it will get better I take my son, as he likes sushi. It's a really modern atmosphere with the super cool belt. It's an easy system to understand and the staff explain the belt functions when you're first seated. My go-to is the absolutely AMAZING Katsu Curry, an absolutely perfect dish with lots of rice, which I love! I'd definitely recommend and visit a few times every few months!

Food is nice. Selection is poor, the web based ordering system from your phone is simply not fit for purpose, whether you're on 5G or Yo! Sushi wifi, it freezes and crashes. Wont take apple pay, crashes when paying etc etcEven then, they NEVER get the order right, there is always something missing or wrong.No way of asking for changes to the food ... food is inconsistent, the same dish is different from week to week.The 'waiter' service is appalling and you are generally ignored.Worse ever visit today and wont be going back.Overall a very bad experience.

We usually go a lot to this restaurant but today had a few issues which has made us rethink about going again. You now need to order through the app but both of our phones had no Internet connection so we could not order and there was not any staff around to order as they were gone most of the time. The lady who seated us did explain what to do but we did not see again. A gentleman did come round and ask if we was ok after the lady but then he disappeared before we could tell him we were unable to order so we had to walk out and did not get anything. Please make ordering more assessable to all as not everyone has a smart phone and this discriminates people also if there is problems can not be fixed if staff are not able to help or are around.

firstly I use Yo! quite a bit and haven't visited Leamington before, we walked in waiting by reception desk as we didn't have a reservation, waiting to be seated, another group of 4 girls entered again with no reservation, however the server decided to seat them first bizarrely, when they could see it was just myself and a very hungry 7 year old, so that didn't start well, we eventually were seated, and given he new rules would need too order online, the app didn't work as the reception and Yo!'s Wi-Fi was unusable, anyway we eventually ordered via a waitress, the food was very slow, we always order Chilli Squid and the portion size was not the normal size, we overheard the chef saying they had run out, instead of telling us or giving us an option to change they sent us the few last bits of squid, not good, 2 of the meals didn't arrive (boiled rice and Popcorn shrimp) in the hour we were there and had to ask the waiting staff to refund the price of them as by this time my son was tired and couldn't wait to leave, not a good reflection on your brand at all.

I’ve been here before and found it has gone down somewhat. The place has turned into a takeaway with delivery driver back in and out every minute. The prices have gone up and everything works and orders over an app.I had to ask for extra serviettes and a clean bowl. As there are no servers, I had to ask the kitchen team who didn’t really understand what I wanted.

After a spot of shopping, and a lovely brunch we went into Yo! or if it’s still Yo! Sushi, it’s fine. It was very nice, inviting and the food was ok, but ok isn’t very good for a chain like this as it should still feel quite special. Opting for a mix of rolls, sashimi style and sushi, we found it lacking in filling and even flavour, having to literally douse some of our rolls in soy. Service was quite slapdash too, and we were hurried along which is a shame. Oh no Yo!

The new limited menu, and shambolic new automated "service" combine to suck all enjoyment out of dining out. The idea is that you scan the QR code and order on line, like many other places. However, the online menu is very restricted, and the app requires payment upfront, making re-ordering painfully slow. This experience is made even more painful as the signature conveyor belt has now been adapted to (try to) deliver your order to your booth. It simply doesn't work. Several of our orders failed to stop and travelled around the restaurant, only to be caught by staff when they realised, and one order fell off the belt before arriving, and had to be cleaned up by the staff. This is not a criticism of the staff, who were all very helpful, but rather a condemnation of the stupid system imposed upon them and customers. Like a Charlie Chaplin movie, without the humour.

We went to Yo! for lunch on a Sunday. The ordering is via a website so you need a mobile signal, and you pay (including a service charge) on ordering not at the end. The food was fine but my wife’s main arrived first, five mins before the salmon platter we ordered as a starter. Our drinks (two bottles of coke) arrived ten minutes later but there was no sign of my main. When I asked, it seemed the kitchen hadn’t even started cooking it yet! It eventually arrived and the food was fine but the service was terrible. It seemed to us that they were struggling with the number of online delivery orders and in house service was suffering. In the past we really liked Yo! but I just can’t recommend it at the moment.

Atrocious ordering setup involving QR codes. Placing a simple order became borderline unpleasant experience. Go in there without a phone or no internet connection and you are completely screwed! From a long term customer who would happily spend large sums of money in Yo, we will be highly unlikely to return again based on this new ordering system. Staff were very unhelpful, food was clearly not freshly prepared as it was. Restaurant is a shadow of the Yo Sushi of past! Avoid!

The food was quite tasty, it’s fast and fresh. However the kids menu could be expanded. The only choice was a bento box and it was served in an awful styrofoam takeaway container: The customer service is just bizarre and non existent. You have to order on an app, which involves quite a few steps to access. For whatever reason my chips were missing off my final order and I couldn’t get my phone to order a new order of chips, the button just wouldn’t press to complete. I tried to get help from the staff but they said their iPad was frozen and just shrugged their shoulders and walked off. So I couldn’t order additional food, despite the kitchen being within eyesight. It’s absolutely mind boggling, that this tech is seen as a development.

I used to love Yo - it was my guilty pleasure. Not any more. I coped with the QR code ordering no problem but the three dishes ordered were terrible. Pumpkin katsu tasted of vinegar, kind of sweet and sour not katsu at all. The beef teriyaki again tasted of vinegar, I’m sure it was the same as the alleged katsu. Lastly the big fail was the salmon sashimi. Full of bones and tasteless. Quite frankly it was cheap salmon and not sashimi quality. I mentioned the problem to the manager who said to give me two more pieces which were exactly the same with bones in both pieces. I left the rest. Not visiting again - real shame

I’ve been here twice recently, once with my daughter (23) & more recently with 2 g/f’s (51). It was easier with my daughter When my g/f’s came to visit we were shopping first, so I popped by the restaurant to make a booking & was informed I had to book online , we almost went somewhere else but I’d enjoyed it so much with my daughter I persevered. When we arrived I had only booked for 2! Luckily they were able to accommodate us. Then we had scan the QR code to obtain the menu & as we normally pay separately, it seemed a great idea to order our own choices on our own phone, this became a long & painful process. The food was great but I will only return with my daughter, YoSushi really need to accommodate us non tech savvy generation.

They insist on you using the app which normally wouldn’t be a problem. However phones were running out of battery and couldn’t get service in the restaurant. So had to log on the WiFi which makes you answer a load of stupid questions. In the end we gave up and just asked to be served by an actual person for the second time after we’d told them we were having problems with the app. At this point it turns out they’d run out of a load of food and even when food arrived it was wrong. Normally like Yo Sushi but this occasion was a nightmare. Won’t be going back.

As usual the food was great. new system is great - as long as the WiFi works.there’s no phone signal so you’re stuck trying to use the WiFi that doesn’t work to use the app to order. Once you’re past trying to connect for 20 mins it’s all fine. I’m still trying to work out how the dishes know to stop at your table but it just adds to the fun experience. Just sort your WiFi if the new system is reliant on it!

When asked, the artificial one arrived, nothing close to the the true vasabi. Sake is served chilled (!!!) and tastes bizarre (kinda rice flour doissolvwd in water) What a disappointment

Coreen was really helpful & looked after us. Food was good & service exemplary. On 4 stars as have to order & pay in advance via App & one of the dishes we ordered was actually unavailable, but it still took our money & didn't tell us. It was only when we'd finished the other dishes and asked that the staff apologised & explained. We were offered an alternative which was OK.

I had booked a table for 4 and unfortunately we arrived around 8 mins late. We were met by the manager at the door who rudely reminded us we were late and said he had decided to give our table away. Annoyed, I explained to him that our email booking stated that our table would be kept for 15 mins. He then tried to tell us he had no more tables left for us (despite the restaurant being empty). Anyway, he begrudgingly let us in and gave us one of the many free tables. We ordered and payed for our food via the app. The new system at Yo Sushi now brings your food to you on the conveyor belt which stops in front of your table - with large parties it is really difficult to catch up with what has/hasn’t arrived to your table - and of course with everything being online staff also have no idea what is missing.Between the 4 of us we made 2 separate orders but half of my order didn’t arrive on the conveyor. We got the attention of the manager - who was busy letting people who hadn’t booked into his ‘busy’ restaurant - to let him know we were missing almost 10 items from our order. He then started counting our plates to make sure we were telling the truth and once satisfied we had ordered what we said we had, he notified the kitchen and ended up bringing our food directly to the table - a much more efficient method than the new conveyor system!! 4 dishes were still missing but at this point I was just ready to leave! Then to top it all off, about 15 minutes after receiving our hour late meal - the manager came over to ask us if we could hurry up and to finish in 5 minutes as the table was needed for other customers!! Not one apology from him!! A really disappointing experience. Safe to say we won’t be returning!!

Been here a few times, and have been served by Michael most of these times. He always delivers the most lovely service, very apologetic if any mistakes are made and is refreshing to get proper service, as a waitress myself I am often disappointed by the rude service of a lot of people in the industry. Green Wednesday is nice and cheap too if you are vegan/ veggie!

I’m a fan of YoSushi, after all you can’t get sushi many places, so I’ve been going for a while. They seemed to struggle for a while experimenting with different types of dishes and losing sight of the important part - the sushi and sashimi. But with the new menu they seem to have got a good balance, with lots for non-fish fans while still keeping a good selection for sushi fans.

Bought a magic grab-bag from the app. Paid on my phone then arrived at 9:30 to pick it up. Nice quantity of sushi (it looked like a £10+ box) and was as fresh as if I had bought it earlier in the day. Well presented and excellent value! Will go again!

Yo sushi will always be one of my favourite places to eat, yes it is expensive this is somewhere I would go as a treat. The street food is my favourite, and love the chocolate desserts. Always order the fries and the Japanese sodas are a must try. Friendly staff, nice open decor, very chilled environment. Wish they still did the sumo fries though.

Great Place, Great Food, Great Staff! My girlfriend and I visited here earlier this week and were starved, after about 10 dishes followed by a myriad of frozen mochi balls! To top it off the staff were excellent and a real credit to the restaurant.

Regular visit to Yo Sush! with my son. Had most of our usual favourites ('Street Food', plus a couple of selections off the belt. The sashimi was absolutely fabulous. Also my son ordered Korean Fried Chicken (thinking it would be too spicy for my taste). Big mistake - I loved it too! He wolfed all the Yo Fries though ! :-(Staff were great as usual. Great meal.

We actually get Sushi delivered to our office at Okapi Technology quite a bit from these guys. Food is always pretty good. I had sushi from somewhere else in Leamington and it was rank. My dog would not even have eaten it. But considering how we much we order from these guys, we have never had a problem.

My daughter and I go to Yo! quite a lot but this was our first visit to Leamington and we really enjoyed it. Service was fast and efficient and the food up to the usual Yo standards. It’s a nice, clean venue and not too busy on the Friday we visited. Will be returning

As a family we often visit this branch. Charlotte served us and was so polite and helpful. She is the only member of staff to EVER offer us a vegetarian menu! we didn’t even know one existed) Also, each time I have asked for ice but ALL the other staff have always said no they don’t do ice. Could they just not be bothered?!? Shame all the staff aren’t all like her. Food is fabulous but other staff, wait times and service is hit and miss.

On our last visit here we asked for tap water and the waiter (Sid?) brought us empty glasses to fill using the filtered water. We reiterated that we asked for tap water but he kept insisting that the filtered water WAS tap water (maybe due to the language barrier - English wasn’t his native language). Then, he said “I work here so I know”!! This was a very condescending and rude way to speak to a customer (not to mention he was blatantly wrong - in the last 11 years of visiting 5 different branches of Yo! Sushi we never had anyone as confused as this guy before).

Come here quite a lot, the service is usually good and food is great. Although, the past few times we’ve come they have forgotten our drinks and the food has been questionable. This time we had to ask for our drinks twice and just watched them on the side for about 10 minutes, while we were tempted to get them ourselves. Obviously we didn’t as we didn’t want to be rude. The tofu curry is now a complete let down since they started using frozen tofu and it’s awful. The whole dish was cold and the tofu was like a tasteless, soaking wet sponge. I didn’t want to complain however and just didn’t finish my food, the manager was nice at first and offered me something else when he saw I hadn’t eaten, however he then made me feel very uncomfortable about the situation and like I was just being an idiot. They said it was meant to be like that and made me try some fresh tofu as if I didnt know what it was. They admitted they wouldn’t eat the tofu curry either which makes me wonder why they still serve the new tofu. The tofu katsu curry used to be the reason I went to yo sushi now I wouldn’t even consider it an edible dish. I felt extremely uncomfortable and embarrassed and it was clear that is was the staffs fault but I think they chose to ignore it. We didn’t want to be in there any longer so we took the replacement food to go. What made it worse is they didn’t say anything at the end about what had happened or even apologise. Definitely won’t be going back which is a shame as it’s been my favourite for years.

Yo Sushi is a brilliant, fun restaurant where the sushi and other food comes around on a conveyer belt, with the option to order other hot meals from the menu. The food is always nice and seems fresh, and the staff are polite and attentive. The chocolate mochi balls are incredible for dessert and well worth the money! Overall a fun and tasty dining experience.

My husband and I really like sushi and often enjoyed a lunch at Yo Sushi Leamington and have always thought it tasty and reasonably priced on a Monday, however we visited last Monday and I don't think we'll be back! Ordered the chilli pepper squid and we got five pieces of over cooked squid compared to a few months ago when you got a portion similar to the menu picture, I tried the new cauliflower dish and it was just over cooked flour and spice which made me feel quite ill for the rest of the day. If that was my first time eating the beef nigari I would never ever consider ordering it again, it was very tough and not so rare, the food in general was terrible. My husbands years of experience in hospitality can only lead him to conclude that Yo Sushi is experiencing financial difficulties and in a bid to cut costs you have shrunk the menu and portions down and changed suppliers.

As a die hard to sushi fan it pains me to say I don't think I'll be back here. Having visited regularly since it opened (before that travelling to Leicester for my sushi fix) I've watched the portion sizes get smaller and smaller. We ordered crispy squid and were presented with about 6 bits of squid so spicy they were almost inedible. The offers are very misleading, I. E the blue plates cost more than green but in blue Mondays and the recent offer they've just had they put green food on blue plates like edamane so you are actually paying more for it than usual!!
