Really enjoyed our first visit here last night, the starters were sublime, the main course were really tasty and would certainly return. One slight negative point, going as a couple we were sat next to a loud table of 4 even though there were were free tables elsewhere so had to ask to move Highly recommend 👍

It's a gem in Leamington Spa! I had wanted to visit for a long time but only got the chance last week. Now, I regret not going sooner. We shared the fried calamari and three different sushi plates. Everything was delicious—beautifully presented and tasted absolutely perfect.

Excellent Asian food with great flavours and quick service. We had the chicken karaage and spicy calamari to start and Bulgogi beef and Korean chilli chicken for mains. All well worth the reasonable prices.

Fantastic evening, good was amazing

We came for birthday dinner and it was truly a fantastic place to have a special meal. Food was delicious, service was great and my partner enjoyed trying some new food. We will have to come back again!

The food was wonderful and the service was perfect. Originally they forgot our order (by accident, not anyone's fault!) but they made up for it completely, everyone was so lovely and couldn't apologize enough :)

Went there for lunch, and wasn't disappointed! The food was amazing, and we came there with a baby, which we were given a high chair for beforehand, as we made a reservation. The service was amazing, and the waiters were very kind and helpful!! Would love to come here again♡

The bento boxes were outstanding with lots of flavour and the ramen was amazing as well as the noodles,chicken,egg,etc were really fantastic and flavourful. The service was really good as a friend was bringing they're baby to the restaurant and they already had the high chair prepared! The waiters were really nice and kind to us as well! The atmosphere was great as it was very family-friendly and authentic. Fantastic.

Went for a quick lunch. Excellent is the best word for this place. Traditonal Japanese, fresh, top quality. Staff is friendly and attentative.

Regularly visit Hayashi for a quick lunch or more leisurely dinner. The food is always delicious and beautifully presented. Lots of variety and different levels of 'heat (chilli)' including sushi rolls, ribs, noodles, Japanese specialties and much more. The staff are excellent - good service but not obtrusive.

The staff were friendly as we entered and quickly seated us (me and my dad). The menu was excellent, great choices! There was sushi, sashimi, mains and starter dishes. We went with a mix of sides and starters (Tuna sashimi, Korean spicy chicken, gyoza, katsu shushing rolls, edamame beans). Wait time was excellent. Ten mins if that. Reasonably cheap costs. The best Japanese I’ve tasted outside of the real thing. Incredible food, Brilliant restraunt. P.S. while the staff are lovely and kind they do wander round the restaurant looking if you want more food etc

We travel 35 minutes each way to come here whether we’re sitting in or taking away. The sushi is outstanding! Friendly staff, and great vegetarian options!

Delicious meal at a decent price. There were meal sets to order, which were of good options. The service was efficient, staff were very polite.

We made a reservations before and we dont regret it, because the restaurant is quite popular. The food is great, we ordered ramen and gyudon. The only thing is they dont provide condiment such as togarashi (chilli powder), almost all japanese restaurant always provide this bcs this is such a basic condiment. The price is fair, and maybe we will come back to tru the sushi. 👍🏻

Delicious ramen and huge portions

Super fast service and tasted absolutely incredible! Highly recommend the tempura prawns, beef bulgogi and the yummy katsu roll.

Great service and very good food. We have eaten here several times over the past 5 years and have always enjoyed excellent food and service.

Decent service, food came out quick. The food itself was mediocre. Canned corn in the ramen was vile, no bonito flakes on the takoyaki instead came with lettuce? Ingredients were low quality all round. Ordered from here before but for takeout but somehow it was even worse in person. Very expensive for awful food. Waiter expected a 10 pound minimum tip for doing nothing and stormed off when they didn't get it. Better Japanese places in the area for half the price, save money and go them instead.

We had ordered takeaway from here several times and always really enjoyed it, so thought we’d book to eat at the restaurant. The staff were friendly and helpful. The restaurant itself is comfy and has a good atmosphere. The food was amazing and really good value for money. Ingredients were well cooked and very fresh.

Great evening . Not been to a Japanese restaurant before but was really nice with lots of choice as I don’t like Suishi. Just did not like the Prosecco, too sweet for me . Food came out speedily , probably a bit too quick but once we had eaten we were left alone to chat . I would return . Shout out to the waiter Tyler who helped us with the menu

Booked a table to celebrate a family birthday. The food was fantastic with a lovely peaceful atmosphere and great service. We will definitely return.

Fantastic meal and outstanding service

We’ve eaten here several times now and have always found the food to be really good. Yesterday we were a group of 5 and had starters, mains and drinks and the bill still came in under £100. It is simply excellent value. To eat at Wagamama or Giggling Squid would come out around £150 so this is a slam dunk!

Quick delivery, the only positive thing. But very disappointed. Food was definitely NOT fresh First time ordering here as my favorite place Gourmet is close but will never do again. Poor portion, not fresh, rice brown in the middle, waste of money.

Food was delicious and very fast and fresh! Service was ok some room for improvement I could hear waiters arguing about my food order which happens everywhere but I didn’t want to hear it 💣 I had veg dish but they forgot my egg when I asked the waiter she replied it’s vegan dish that’s why there’s no egg but they did give me a pice of fish in it 🤦🏼‍♀️ otherwise food was delicious! Definitely will come back for more food !

We visited here for the second time whilst visiting family in the area and it was, yet again, fantastic. The foodcwas wonderful and the service was great. Huge fan.

We booked a table as soon as the place opened on Friday evening. We turned up and the service was initially welcoming and the waiter showed us our table. We were the second set of people in the restaurant so it was very quiet. We received our starter dish, which was prawn katsu but it was dry, flat and tasted like cheap frozen supermarket prawns in breadcrumbs. As more groups of people arrived, our main dishes came out slowly one by one until I was sat waiting for about 15 minutes. My daughter had already finished her dish. I looked over at a family who had arrived much later than us and they all received their food including starters, main dishes and drinks. They were given priority, possibly because they were a bigger group. I asked a waiter politely if he can find out where my main dish is and he was impatient and snappy with me saying “.. I will find out where it is OK” so he brought it out quickly. It was luke warm and tasteless. I gleaned from this that it had been sat in the kitchen for a long time and the staff had left it there. When I complained about the very slow service to one waitress she was apologetic and said she will find out what happened but then I heard nothing more. I asked the second waitress for the bill and she was very cold, rude and stuck up. When our first waiter who showed us our table returned, he took the bill payment and pointed to the option of leaving a tip on the card machine. I chose ‘no thanks’ and I heard him mutter something under his breath so I looked up immediately at him as he was peering at the card machine and saw him finishing muttering his words. It was only when my partner asked him what happened with the complaint made, that he admitted that he heard about this and then apologised. Anyway after this experience, I won’t be visiting again.

Great food and friendly staff. Been for both dinner and lunch; both were excellent. I can recommend the fantastic Teriyaki Salmon Bento Box for lunch. Absolutely delicious. My partner had the Pumpkin Katsu one, which was also lovely. The staff were friendly and helpful. Added: Been again and the lunch was excellent once more.

Great Japanese restaurant in the heart of Leamington. My partner and I had the Miso Soup which was one of the best tasting Miso's I've had, followed by Sushi and chargrilled Steak. Would recommend.

Call for reservation I do not recommend walking in as the place gets busy. Service was good all the staff were nice and accommodating, although the food was a let down for my taste. I’ve had better that is not this expensive.

I ordered sushi, Yakima soba and teriyaki for a birthday dinner. The young lady of the phone was very pleasant and helpful. The food was amazing, fresh, nice presentation and lasted brilliantly on the 25 min journey home. Probably the best tasting sushi I have had.

One of the worst Japanese food had ever. Terrible taste. Sashimi are not fresh at all, ramen is like instant noodle. I would rather go for Wasabi

Booked ahead for a Saturday night and glad we did as it was full. Staff here are brilliant. Really friendly and attentive. Food was fab. We had tuna maki, salmon and avocado temaki and a selection of salmon sushi and all were just stunning. Fresh and super tasty. Then we had the spicy beef ramen and the spicy seafood ramen. Both were absolutely delicious. Perfect amount of spice, flavourful broths and lots of fresh seafood. Delicious. Green tea was unlimited and tasty and the only one thing I would ask is for them to stock a non alcohol beer, but that's just me :) . We loved it and will be back for sure.

Great food, amazing service, staff were incredibly polite. There is a great selection of menu options, from ramen, sushi, noodles and more; including vegetarian and gluten free (although I did not order these). To add to this, our food arrived within 5 minutes of us ordering and our drinks arriving, we were shocked at the speed and quality of the food(seemingly far too used to poor service). Shows up ‘fast food places’ where you have to wait behind a queue of delivery drivers for a cold burger!

One of the best Japanese owned and run restaurants outside of London. It’s authentic with a twist and a very enjoyable experience with outstanding choice and quality. We had a great time and it surprised us with its high standards. It was also excellent value...

Had a great meal here last night. We booked just hours before, and were quickly seated. Menu choice is varied, and all the food was great. The staff were attentive and efficient, and we had a great evening. Can’t wait to visit again.

The food here is absolutely fantastic. The sake I had smelled strong (16.8%) but it tasted very smooth, with no burning aftertaste. The Ebi (prawn) katsu curry was delicious. The service was faultless. The atmosphere was brilliant. 10/10 I would definitely come here again.

We were searching for Octopus to eat and stumbled across this restaurant in Leamington. Very glad we did, there is some street parking at the front , free after 6pm. Food was excellent and we think good value, nice atmosphere, busy and great friendly service, we ordered several different items and a main course, they all arrived nicely spaced, not all at once. Everything was delicious, octopus, eel, chicken, tempura and Katsura. Will definitely be back.

Food is fantastic but menu is huge!! A bit overwhelming! Guidance is great, but be prepared to have a lot to choose from! Gorgeous noodles!!

Cute Japanese restaurant. The food was fantastic, and the service was great! I got the gyoza, sashimi, and the passion pot which were all absolutely delicious. I would like to see a larger selection of desserts. Will probably try the non-sushi dishes next time, as sushi is not the most filling but on the pricier side!

I’m trying very hard to find something to criticise……I can’t… our dinner was simply perfect! We dealt with very attentive staff members and we had a very interesting discussion about the menu. The food was simply delightful: fresh, tasty, fragrant…simply mouthwatering! We were also surprised...

The food and service here are amazing!

When thinking of Japanese food with sushi involved it can be quite a costly affair. But our meal was a very reasonably price and we came away quite surprised. The food was 10/10 and was worthy of a big price tag. We had a mix of sushi, sashimi, gyoza, tempura crab and then had a main course of katsu curry and kimchi ramen. We love japenese food and every time we get a craving for it, we will be returning here. The drinks were good too, and Asahi on tap is always welcome with a Japanese meal. Overall, if you know friends or anyone else who loves this style of food, take them here!!

Some of the best Japanese food I've had anywhere. Up there with the best sushi and ramen restaurants in London, Berlin, Warsaw and Helsinki where I've lived and I cannot believe it took me 18 months to hear about this place in Leamington.

Friendly service and able to seat us quickly (despite the fact they were very busy and we hadn’t booked!) delicious sushi, salmon teriyaki and egg fried rice. Will most definitely be back but will be sure to book in advance next time.

Visited for my partner's 40th birthday meal with her family. Fantastic service, the sushi and edamame I had was some of the best I've had outside of London and they were willing to make changes and go the extra mile for the various things her family wanted. We'll be visiting again.

Staff were very friendly, food was delicious, service was very speedy. A fantastic experience overall!
