Wonderful Japanese food! Tasty! Recommendation ! The food are very fresh, and the set meals are also delicious. It’s worth our 3-hour drive!

We went as a walk in on a Saturday night and were really pleased to get a table; front of house and kitchen were very accommodating! Drinks were delightful, food was delicious and the atmosphere was very relaxed. Overall, we had a lovely evening & so glad we chose here rather than some of the other restaurants in Leamington. Already planning our next visit!

It’s lovely to visit somewhere authentically Japanese. It’s such great value, the service is friendly and the food is tasty. The décor is modern with flashes of Japan around the restaurant and I loved the beautiful serving bowls which made me feel as though I was dining in a homely setting which was nice. The menu has some notes on Japanese dining etiquette which was fun to read. We are both vegetarian and they adapted dishes to suit us perfectly. Great choice overall for vegetarians. A unique dining experience and you can see why it gets full quickly and so book a table.

Seems an authentic Japanese restaurant. Culturally-speaking… Staff are not rushed nor very expressive. Simple no fuss like home-cooked food. Nothing amazing or extraordinary to write home about. Service is relatively slow paced. Prices are reasonable for Leamington. Atmosphere is casual and warm. Personally didn’t gain my 5th* as it hasn’t made an impression where I would recommend it to my nearest and dearest.

Small local restaurant, design inside was simple but aesthetic. I went recently with 2 friends and we all ordered small plates and the food was very hit or miss. The seafood and vegetable dishes were better than the meat dishes. The ginger chicken was very dry and tough and not that flavourful. The best items were the prawn tempura and the marinated aubergine. They fo offer some gluten free items.

Great little authentic Japanese restaurant. We had lunch, a nice selection of small and main plates. All very tasty and overall good value for money.. Give yourself plenty of time, only small with limited staff,so service is a little relaxed!!

Lovely little restaurant. Food was excellent, the tuna and salmon practically melt in your mouth. The fried aubergine was delicious. Portion sizes decent except for the desserts which were a bit smaller than expected, but the flavours made up for that as everything tasted great. Staff are all so friendly. We will definitely be back! Editing to add: definitely recommend their sushi night! We love everything on the sushi menu, especially the unagi (eel). I also suggest getting the seaweed salad, it’s one of our favourites.

Nana's is an absolute gem of a place. It is unashamedly authentic in the food it produces. What it does well, it does really well. The prices are also very good, so you feel you are getting value for money. It is quite small so always a good idea to book. Highly recommended.

The atmosphere is amazing, however, the food is not that appealing. 😢 The tuna & salmon mixed don was just hot rice (instead of rice with vinegar) and the sashimi, without wasabi or any side dish. The BBQ beef was more like Korean flavored rather than the Japanese food… too much sauce! The miso soup should be the one that never fails, but it turned out to be a surprise here. We had high expectations for the cuisine because of the vibe and story behind the store. We thought it might gave us something nostalgic back in Asia and finally found a decent Japanese restaurant in the UK…🥹

Love nanas, some of the best and authentic japanese food I've had. Service is great, food is relatively low in price compared to other Japanese restaurants and the quality is very good.

The venue is small and cozy with a touch of Japanese decor. Wait staff friendly and helpful. Food arrived in timely manner. It just wasn't anything special. Perfectly ordinary bowl of rice, a rich and oily veg curry that was high on gravy and very low on veg, and tiny sides, none of which were amazing. Pleasant enough.

This is one of the authentic japanese restaurants with recognition from Nintei Nihon accreditation and we could not miss it as we were in the Midlands. And the quality is really good! Most impressive is the takoyaki and the crispy skin with moist soft inner paste even beat many of the stores in Japan. Curry Pork Cutlet is lovable and yummy as expected. Karaage don serves really nice too the taste of Karaage was just perfect and same as what I could find in Japan. What striked me the most was the miso soup! It was tasteless…did they forget to put salt or seasoning into it? This place is also crowded so dont forget to reserve a table to avoid disappointment :)

Fist visit: Delicious food and a lovely cosy atmosphere :) Second visit: We went for the sushi night (most Thursday evenings) and it was fantastic! Everything we had was delicious, and the staff were super friendly and helpful.

The place is quite small. My table was by the doors. And any who was coming wear disturbing me enjoy my time. No sushi just on Thursday and didn't see any info about it. But food wise it was tasty...Will I go again? I don't think.

Amazing little Japanese restaurant on the block! The vibe was very warm with beautiful decorations just like the staff there. The restroom is pretty big along with a diaper change station We had a wonderful lunch when visiting Leamington Spa. Both hojicha & matcha latte were good! Really love the cute and thoughtful utensils. We ordered the Spicy BBQ Beef Don, Katsu Curry Don, Karaage Don, and the avocado salad with yuzu mayonnaise! All were scrumptious although I wish the curry could have more rich flavor and a little hint of savory to enhance the overall flavor. The avocado salad was a game changer tho, the sauce was uh-may-zing! Keep up the good work!

Truly excellent homestyle Japanese restaurant! Not our first time visiting, and we always enjoy coming back. The welcome from the staff is very friendly, and they are supportive of helping me around with my walking aid. The menu is split into smaller plates and larger rice bowls with different toppings. Veggie and gluten-free can be well catered for, and there are also usually a couple of seasonal specials to consider. Service is quick - food here is served as soon as it's ready, so there's no waiting around! And it's delicious, all of it. We devoured the pork gyoza and okonomiyaki (omelette) skewers, and savoured every mouthful of the donburi rice bowls. Prices are reasonable too. Highly recommended!

Sushi night is my favourite, I had bad experiences before with sushi that made me dislike it for years, it has been a year now that I go to your sushi nights thanks Nana for making me love sushi!

Nana's Japanese has a very calm and relaxed atmosphere with well chosen décor. The menu states that they try to capture what home cooking is like in Japan itself and my wife having lived in Japan for quite some time she told me that it is quite authentic. There are small dishes (like tapas) or larger bowls such as donburi to choose from. We shared teriyaki salmon and beef tataki to start. The standout was the salmon which was very soft, almost like it was poached with the teriyaki sauce. The taste was strong but still allowed the salmon's own flavour to come through. We both had Karaage chicken Donburi. The way the chicken was fried was great, a light crunch followed by succulent chicken. It's a simple dish but an enjoyable one!

Fantastic place and beautiful atmosphere! For a moment there I really thought I was in Japan! And the food is just outstanding. Can't recommend enough!

Nanas is a truly unique place. You won’t come here for the fake sushi experience. You are here to experience real Japanese cuisine brought to you by real Japanese. From the ingredients, the hand made sushi, the friendly informative staff. If you want to experience the closest thing to Japan in Leamington, this is the right place. Of course, as a very unique place, make sure you book on advance.

Where to even start! We were seated at the counter and the staff were all wonderful even though the place was full (the atmosphere was still perfect and not at all noisy either!) The donburi was incredible and after an early start and busy day it was the perfect meal, the spicy BBQ beef was so good I didn't even feel bad cheating my vegetarianism for it. And oh my goodness the desserts, when I saw the dessert menu I knew that I was about to blow my entire food budget for the trip. I would pick a highlight but honestly it's all 10/10. That said my favourite was the cinnamon "mochi" honestly I had to stop myself ordering even more (I had five desserts and I would do it again!) Honestly my only complaint is that I live in Scotland and can't eat here every week. Frankly if you're in Leamington spa this place is a must visit.

We had such a wonderful evening at Nana's. The ambience was very calm, with elegant interior design and some pleasant jazz piano music at the perfect volume. The staff were knowledgeable and very considerate, and made us feel at home. Everything we ate and drank was magnificent, not a single dud dish.

I think this is the most welcoming place I have been in the UK. I felt like I was invited to their home, not a cafe. Food is absolutely deliciuos. I loved Matcha cake as well. 🌸🌸🌸

A lovely little place with great service. There is an interesting menu with various dishes, including a tasting plate. Some dishes are on the pricey side. However, everything we had was of good quality and was delicious. The service was excellent, and the venue was clean throughout. ♿️ there is a ramp up to the entrance, although the door and ramp may be a little narrow for some wheelchairs. 🚻 there is one accessible toilet with a baby changing table. The toilet is large, but there is a corner to navigate to get to it.

A Japanese restaurant run by Japanese people in Lymington! It is difficult to expect the same quality as Japan in the UK. Neat and neat house! You have to make a reservation by phone or email and it is a bit cumbersome to make a reservation, but it is worth a visit!

This small restaurant is one of a kind. The food is truly japanese home style and not the westernized versions you sometimes meet in similar places. It's privately owned and you feel it from the lovely interior to the presentation of the food.

First time we came in around 1:30 they sold out all rice, so came again the next week, tried the lunch set, the one today was okay, unlimited refill rice and soup. And we also ordered grilled eel rice, it’s tasty but abit expensive. But overall taste good. Atmosphere was nice, service was great, the waitress with good attitude even only one person doing all the serving.

Excellent Japanese in town, different from the others as it won't serve sushi, but more traditional dishes. The overall experience is superb - good ambiance and music, very polite and friendly waiters, and a sense of "being at home" somehow. All dishes were very tasty! The tasting platter os good but not brilliant (curry tastes a bit massified). Salmon zuke don very very good! Fair price and good desert options. I want to come back to sushi night (Thursdays).

100% real Japanese taste. Didn't realize they only serve nigiri sushi on Thursday evenings. Will definitely place another visit soon in the future to get it again. Okonomiyaki skewers were so great. Just missed my days having the okonomiyaki with my Osaka friends.

Real Japanese owned business. Authentic Japan dishes. A good choice if you want the taste, but the volume may not help when you are too hungery.

Really great relaxed atmosphere and chilled background music. Good service and a couple of to die for tapas style dishes. The Okonomi-yaki is fantastic as was the stewed pork and seafood salad. Their matcha brownie is so much better than you might expect from the look! I was recommended this place by a friend and I would love to pass this recommendation on.

I surprised my partner with a sushi workshop at Nana's for his birthday. It was an amazing experience and we got to make 4 different types of sushi (Nigiri, Urumaki, Temaki & Maki). I would definitely recommend a workshop at Nana's!

Excellent food, friendly service, great atmosphere. We had the tasting tray with 5 different dishes plus rice and Miso soup at a very reasonable price. Not large helpings but you can fill up on rice and soup as much as you like. All delicious and well presented.

Service was slow. Food was basic. Drinks were underwhelming.

Great food, okay service, but much too cold! We went on a Thursday for sushi. The was excellent with all the precision you might expect! Do be aware that it isn't cheap, but I think this is to be expected for sushi. Also, the variety of rolls is not so large, but everything is executed very well and (I think) made to order. The service was pleasant, but not always the most attentive and it was a little difficult getting the menu to order more food and then getting the bill at the end. When I booked, I was asked to come earlier than I had requested, expecting to find a very busy restaurant. It was then quite quiet and still not that busy when we left with empty tables still available, though every table was reserved. The only real complaint is how cold the place was. We would have stayed longer and maybe ordered more, but it was too cold to consider this. We both wanted to go somewhere warmer rather than stay.

I‘ve been a few times to Nana. It is a lovely quiet cafe with some Japanese specialities. I‘ve tried ramen night, sushi and some starters an everything was very good. As often with Japanese food, it is pricy but also high quality. Definitely best in town!

Great authentic atmosphere and superb tasting food. Really enjoyed the yakiniku bbq beef Don.. We booked in advance and would recommend as it's very popular, fully booked and saw quite a few walk ins unfortunately turned away. Loved it here and have pre booked for the special sushi night!

Visiting town and stumbled into sushi night. Service was very welcoming and although we were warned of waits mains and sides came out at a good speed to keep us sated. The fish was very fresh, no off smells or flavour to be found. With enough vegi options to keep those so inclined who fed.

We went as a group of 6 and had some tapas for starters (including delicious miso aubergine) and the Donburi bowls for mains. Good selection of fish, meat and vegetarian options. Would also definitely recommend the Yuzushu for drinks.

Always a favourite for their tasty vegan options and lovely staff! I mainly come here for take out service, but once on a busy night when I visited, they managed to squeeze me in at the bar, and the food was so fresh and tasty! Absolutely love the Nasu Dengaku, Seaweed Salad and the Agedashi Tofu Don

if you want to try real japanese home food this is the place, it may not be one of those fancy japanese restaurants with a lot of dishes but is not what I was expecting of a place like this. It has traditional japanese food and they make it really well. Is a small place so if you want to go you should book in advance just in case, although I have had no issue finding a table without a reservation. As for the food, I was not my first time tasting japanese food so I can say that the dishes taste as they should. The takoyaki are great and the karage from the karage-don is very good as well. Also you should try some of the matcha desserts, I actually liked them even if I am not a matcha fan. If I had to complain about something, it would be that the rations of some of the starters is a bit small, also it would be great to have karage outside of the rice dish (called "don"). However, I am glad to have a place like this in Leamington and if you like Japanese food you should not miss visiting it.

When you're in love you want the whole world to know! I was visiting friends in Leamington Spa for the week, and I spent a great amount of time exploring. Multiple people recommended Nana's so I went in for lunch. The lunch tasting menu was a gift from the angels!! It was so good I went two more times. Nana and her staff went out go her way to explain the menu, and Nana told me a lot about her cooking techniques. I saw on her website she teaches cooking classes. I'm sure she's a wonderful teacher! I partied really hard on this trip, and the healthy but filling lunch really made me feel much better. And the price was phenomenal! My only regret is not being in town for Ramen night! Seriously, this is the best Japanese food I've ever had and I'm OBSESSED with Japanese cuisine. I recommend Nana's whole heartedly, and I couldn't be any happier with my experience. I miss them so much!

Nana's is the type of place I could spend all afternoon eating in, great atmosphere and delicious food cooked by Nana herself. Really welcoming staff and great service.

Plum wine is relatively light, and I personally prefer it to be stronger. The fried shrimp tempura is drizzled with fried sauce, the homemade tofu salad is delicious😋, the hot green tea warms the body and mind after the meal, and the Japanese waiters are so polite

The food is always fabulous and fresh but the Sushi was outstanding. The Nibbles on the Sushi menu were an explosion of flavours. Thoroughly enjoyed!
