This cafe is completely dead. Very Rude customer service by one of the lady who works in the kitchen. Doesn’t even smiles back and talks like she’s ready to throw you out lol. It seemed like she’s having a really bad start of the day. Food is not too bad but very expansive for what you get. 0 customer service.

After seeing some of the reviews it can be off putting but don't let it the food was great and the staff were chatty and friendly 👍🏼 Amazing value for money compared to meal deal prices !

This place has potential. No idea how it has remained open for so long with the worst service in catering history!!! The staff are lazy, aggressive and sarcastic. Not what you need when you are trying to grab a bite to eat. Whoever the owner is...sort out your staff!!!

Rude staff treat customers horrible , unhygienic and very expensive

Bit over priced for what it is really and not much choice on the menu theh few bits that's are on the menu there never seem to have half of that available.

Too expensive. Now £7 for a coffee and a cob. Owner doesnt seem to like people either lol

Staff are friendly. The cobs are filled to the brim with fresh, quality ingredients. The prices are really good too. First time I've visited and I'll definitely be back. Very convenient for work too which is a bonus

Server did not washands after handling money and straight away picked up food for an order with her hands no gloves or utensils used. Food average. Will not go back. Rude as well.

Young woman servicing food was remarkably rude to me, lots and lots and lots of items from the menu were unavailable, after asking what can I get, she pointed a few meat trays in front of her without a label, as like telling me my options would be beneath her royal behind. It finished with her cursing on me that "I'll be sorry". I am sorry that I walked in there.

Staff are lovely and food is top notch.

All the staff are rude and inconsiderate. They don't like to take or make large orders for lunch and Think that I the customer and my colleagues are inconveniencing them with our business. If that's the case we'll order else where. No wonder you've not got a 1 star rating, I think all of you need to attend a school of customer services. I'll never buy from these again!

Working at the nearby LRI,I would occasionally pop in on my way into work to grab something for lunch. Problem is they open for service but nothing is ever ready and often there Is no sandwich fillers or bread even on frequent visits. I have even been told by the lady serving that I'm "too early"..well don't open your doors then until you actually have food to prepare and serve to customers and moan because your the only one working..rude and hostile service at times but sandwiches..if you can ever get one..are great I do admit!

This place serves great food and really friendly staff. The is something to suit everyone's taste and the fact I've been going here since it opened and still do days something.

Not the best cafe. Not much choice and not a friendly atmosphere at all.

Food was alright for the price, but the service was appalling both women in there were rude, would not recommend.

I have had the unfortunate experience of visiting this establishment on 2 separate occasions. On the first I attended the shop 10 mins prior to closing. As I entered the shop a woman quickly exclaimed 'we're closed!' Her mannerism was extremely rude and abrasive. On a second more recent occasion, giving them the benefit of the doubt, I attended the shop 25 mins prior to closing. Upon entering the shop I was met with two women, and the immediate impression I got was that I was an inconvenience to them. They operated with very much a 'take it or leave it attitude'. Menu options were extremely limited, they did not offer any assistance and when I quickly picked a sandwich filling, the only available salad was tomatoes. To which I reluctantly accepted. As my order was accepted, the woman at the kitchen shouted 'what does he want' whilst huffing and puffing, again as if I was an inconvenience. Then as I was about to pay, the woman at the counter would only accept cash due to a minimum card payment. There was no incentive to encourage me to make the sandwich a meal such that a card payment could be fulfilled (should this have been offered, I may very well have obliged) however instead I felt it was almost a measure to stop me from ordering and exit the premises so they could close up shop. On both occasions the staff (one of which I encountered on both occasions) were rude, impolite and abrasive. This is not something I thought id expect from a smalll business. If a minus rating was available, they would very much fullfill the criteria!

Big choice on the menu and very reasonable price. However, the staff were very rude and one lady began sweeping the floor around my feet as I ate whilst having a sweary conversation at top volume about the state of the country over my head whilst I ate. Made to feel like I was an intrusion on their space. Will not be going back but can't fault the price or 5 star food hygiene rating.

Value for money at its finest. 2 sarnies, 2 coffees and 2 soft drinks for just over £10.

Dont recommend here, Lovely cob shop round the corner on welford road called kwik bite much better quality food and service with a smile.

Lovely food but bad service and missing items! Ordered lunch from here today via deliveroo. Unable to leave note on website and when I called was told I couldn’t amend time of delivery, then they called me and was told after I ordered that they’d ran out of chicken tikka filling and wouldn’t make more “because it was a Friday” Then the wrong order arrived , then when the correct order arrived two items were missing . No answer when attempted to call the cafe and I was unable to speak to someone online from deliveroo. Will not be ordering again!

Driven past here a few times and thought I’d give it a go. Kind of a run of the mill glorified greasy spoon really. In fact the place stank my clothes out while waiting. Didn’t really see anything healthy on the menu and many of the items on the menu that did sound healthy were not available. I wouldn’t say the staff were rude but they were certainly not forthcoming or what I’d call friendly. Food was nothing special either or anything to write home about. I don’t want to be overly mean and leave a one star but I can see why many have.

Food is ok but ladies working there are extremely rude and make you feel uncomfortable being there. WILL NOT COME BACK

Walked 1 mile to get a sandwich from this place. Walked in and Took a picture of the menu to send to a colleague so she could order lunch. The lady was rude and inconsiderate and told me to leave the shop. She wasn’t polite at all. All for taking a picture. Will never visit this place and recommend no one does. It’s a sandwich shop not some fancy 5 star restaurant. Get a grip madam.

Walked in to an empty cafe waited 2 minutes after being ignored by 2 women in the kitchen. Bank card at the ready I was asked if i have cash during a covid pandemic when were meant to be trying to use card. Anyway let's get to the point! An empty cafe and when I asked for a bacon sandwich on white I heard bacon nap a big white soft bun with a couple of slices of bacon isint what I like. So i asked for it to be toasted so theres a bite to the sandwich/bap. And I was told I would have to pay for the cheese toastie price. I then walked out! How are these people open!

Wanted a Chicken Tikka torpedo roll with lettuce. Was told they have no torpedoes left. So instead had a cob. It was annoying that I had to spend £4 to be able to use card payment. The bill came to £3.95 for a cob, packet of crisps and a drink. Instead of just letting me pay. For the sake of 5p I had to then buy another can of drink. Roll was nice. The tikka filling was average. I found it to be abit artificial tasting. Also had cucumber and tomato inside which I didnt ask for. Customer service was abit abrupt, I was served by a young ish girl. All in all food was ok and prices are good. 3*

Small baguette but ramed full of goodness top quality bacon as well.

Nice food, cobs were really good and quite cheap considering what you get although dont expect service with a smile that either cost extra or it's not on the menu. Would certainly recomend

Ordered from deliveroo when delivery arrived half the order was missing. Call the shop and the lady was rude and nasty on the phone and accused us of not being honest. Do not use these guys horrible service
