We came here 2 times during our trip. Food is good and with generous portions. A student waitress is super friendly, attentive and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

Have been here before each time food is authentic and prepared fresh we all rave about it when in Coventry we always have to pay a visit. Superb all rounder

Another my comfort place to eat. All the dishes are great, no exception. Pretty crowded during dinner time and sometimes the serving takes too long,but overall experience is great.

Quite good Sichuan restaurant, spice is acceptable for most, though not as spicy as the real Sichuan locals. BTW, I would never recommend ordering Cantonese food, like spring rolls, chow mein, etc., in a Sichuan restaurant, this is like ordering beef Wellington in an Italian.

This restaurant is a disaster. Despite having a reservation, our table wasn't saved, and we arrived on time. They said we have to wait for at least 40 minutes since it was full. Shockingly, another group faced the same issue. The manager's attitude was atrocious—no apologies, just ignored us. The entire experience was a chaotic mess. Avoid this place if you value your time and expect basic courtesy.

We passed this place while looking for somewhere for Sunday lunch and caught sight of the food being served so couldn’t walk past. We needed help with deciding what to eat and we weren’t disappointed. It’s the most authentic Chinese meal we’ve had for years. Very tasty fish, bean sprout and chilli soup, chicken with very spicy chilli, amazing sizzling tofu in oyster sauce, Chinese greens in garlic with steamed rice. Delicious. We aren’t from Coventry but we’ll be going here again the next time we visit.

Spring rolls could have been softer they weren’t very full and way too crispy and over cooked. The noodles were average and the meat portions weren’t great, a lot of bones in my meal! Beef pho was the best part. Was not a glamorous meal I had heard about from others

The Chinese food in the UK is indeed different from that in Germany. There are more dishes and the taste is not bad. I like to eat eggs and prawns, just eat them with the skin on.

All i can remember was the food was tasty and delicious. I remembered me and son ordered 3 dishes and it was good. Price was reasonable like most restaurants i ate

The food tastes good, the portions are sufficient, the conversation with the staff is very pleasant, and it is worth the 40 minutes to get by car. The packaging of the takeaway is very secure, and there is no spillage when driving home. Good luck with business!

Today I went to restaurant at 11:05 by Uber, stuff told me they can not open until 12:00, while website showed that they open 11:00am, so disappointed.

Great value for money. The pork was tender and full of flavour. Most of the dishes were nicely done. We couldn’t even finished all the dishes.

I had a nice meal here! The fried fish was nice and crispy! The salt and pepper flavour was great with the egg fried rice 😋 I also ordered a vegetable noodles as well by request because it originally has meat in it. Thank you for this change 💕✨🌈

Had a quick bowl of noodles here. Pretty decent. Only takes cash for dining in but can also order for pick up/delivery via the HungryPanda app.

Awesome and addictive food. I would suggest the fish and spicy sauce dish (can't remember the exact dish). You can also order rice (they charge by headcount) and you can have unlimited refills, which is great for hungry people in cold weather

Very good authentic Sichuan food. Reasonably priced and decent portions. Cash only venue and no alcohol license, but you can bring your own drinks for a charge. Menu is extensive and possibly intimidating for those not familiar with the cuisine, but for those who are, definitely a real treat. The menu is not always translated well into English, but I’m sure the waiters would help if this is an issue for you.

Best to go with a Chinese friend to understand the menu! And have cash with you to pay

I don’t know whether the “only cash” policy in this restaurant also applies to non- Chinese, but I do know that it charges me at the exchange rate of 8.9 RMB/GBP when the actual rate is between 8.1 to 8.2. The best Chinese restaurant ever! 🤩🤩🤩 This restaurant would be the reason I would comeback to Coventry just to eat there again! 🤤 I had the home special beef noodles and my bf had the Szechuan noodles. Both of them were the best noodles I’ve ever eaten! The sauce and the broth were so tasty. Will definitely come back. Very recommended. However, the only reason I give 4 stars is because in 2021 they still don’t accept card payment. Cash only place.

The portion was too small. Service need to be improved. Also desks are too close no social distance for dine in.

I've had my new year meal with my friends here, To be honest, I'm very disappointed, it wasn't that tasty as I expected, The food is just greasy and too salty, the sour cabbage pickle fish they cook is really bad, I couldn't think about anything to describe this.

I love the Yipin Bashu. It's full of Chinese people and the language barrier can be interesting, but the food is great. Belly pork is their speciality and its great.

I asked the waiter to check for us and waited another 20 minutes still nothing. I had to ask the same waiter again and then he told me the chef didn't get our order,so we either wait for the dish to be cooked or cancel the order. I was shocked for the response. We all make mistakes but I don't understand why he didn't check our order when I asked him at the first time. I decided to cancel it as I had enough. I went to the cashier and she talked to me in Chinese saying 'I cancel your last dish so that you don't need to pay for it'. Excuse me, who would pay for the dish never on the table? We came for food, not wasting time for nothing. She said 'CASH or Wechat pay' and I looked around there is no signs for it. I don't mind paying cash (wechat pay is only for Chinese RMB which I don't have) but should you have any signs to let people know in advance.

To this Chinese restaurant ,Staff are friendly and helped us with our choices from the menu .Food arrived quickly and was very tasty .

As a chinese, this is some very authentic Sichuan food and what a gem in Coventry. Fast serve and great service, plus there is no service charge! Menu price is by no means expensive (i live in London). If you are Chinese or local looking for some real Chinese food, this is a place worth visiting. If you just want some Chinese food catered to local style, you probably will not be overwhelmed. Anyway for me, I'm definitely coming back to Coventry for this again :)

外卖里有虫子！Two larvas in two takeaway bowls !!! 两个外卖塑料碗里各有一只小虫，吃到碗底才发现，太恶心了！香菇也没煮熟。 之前我还一直觉得这家餐厅不错的。拜托你们餐厅是觉得中国留学生好坑是吗？不觉得丢人吗？ What have I eaten! How disgusting! I almost vomitted when I found it! I've been liking their food and felt it tasted good. Really disappointing! By the way, the (Chinese) mushroom is undercooked and for the sake of my life, I spat it out. YiPinBaShu, I cannot imagine your cooking and storage environments. Clean your kitchen! What a shame.

First time coming here and was surprised by how good the dishes are. This place specialises in Szechuan dishes (meaning very spicy) and everything we ordered tasted delicious. We would definitely go there again and try out other items on the menu.

Simply wow - the interior decor is modest, the food is not! Having previously visited the BarShu restaurant in London's Soho to get the amazing spicy Szechuan style food many times it's a complete delight to find it locally in Coventry without the London prices. If you are not familiar with this type of cuisine then there are no parallels with 'English Chinese food', different dishes and the most amazing flavours. The menu here is in both English and Chinese with pictures - the staff are so helpful and attentive I simply can't recommend this restaurant highly enough - truly special

For all you empty headed slaves out there this is just another e.g. Of how un-questioning Asians (and I know because I lived in Cambodia for 2 years) think it's normal to put the poison known as MSG POWDER in all their food-,,, it's why they have very bad skin allergies--I won't be eating here again even if you paid me😩

Staff: We are the only brits in there the rest Chinese. A good sign. The staff were really nice and helpful and you could not ask for nicer people. Polite, charming and also fanciable too! Food: Delicious. Proper Chinese food. Not for the inexperienced I have to add because this is proper food. Those who like 70s style takeaway need not come here. This is the real deal. One tiny criticism: the menu needs t be completely translated please. Marks: Food:9/10 Service 10/10 Christ they were nice Ambience 9/10

This place won't be for everyone as it is very authentic, as you can tell from the fact that almost everyone in here is Chinese and not all the menu is translated into English. Decor wise, it's more like a typical street-corner restaurant in China - it's just rows of tables and plastic chairs. The quality of the food is far more important than the decor though! There are lots of amazing dishes here that you won't be able to get anywhere else, but as it's Sichuan style, most of them are probably too hot for the average British person. However, we had 3 fantastic main dishes and it's probably the best Chinese food I've had outside China. The chilli rabbit wasn't translated into English on the menu, but it's definitely my favourite dish. I thoroughly enjoyed the fish and vegetables dish, even though I'm not a big fish eater and it was mostly my friends that wanted to try it. Very good value too. For 3 of us, with more food than we could eat and a drink each, it was about £60.

Absolutely amazing place. A gem, an oasis of brilliance in Coventry, one of the otherwise most soleless, run down & grubby cities in the UK. Quite fantastic food. Looks like I’m the first review written in English. The rest are Chinese. The fact that only Chinese people were eating and working here when I visited are a sign of it’s outstanding excellence in Asian cuisine. Portions and prices excellent. Glad to have discovered it, as there is not a lot else to write home about in this rough & vile city

I did my degree in Coventry 30 years ago & now do a lot of work there. I often need to eat & the city really hasn’t grown one bit in class or stature in 3 decades. Coventry was badly bombed in the 2nd World War. Thankfully, no bombs have dropped there since 1945, however the infrastructure bears the scars of it & the city & streets remain a conglomerate of drunken oiks & drug addicts. On New Year’s Eve I had two hours to kill, hungry, so toured the city in my car, desperate to eat. I was about to give up. I was therefore delighted to stumble upon this oasis of civilisation. The first thing I noticed when I walked in and sat down was that amongst customers and staff, I was the only white caucasian & the only person speaking English. If eating Orienral food, a restaurant full of Asian customers is always a very good start. I had a wonderful plate of noodles and beef for £8. Huge portion and great ingredients. I had a good look at what everyone else was eating and by the end of 2919 I shall have sampled the entire menu. I shall put it on here in the pictures, since I am the first to review this establishment 8 months after it first opened. It’s cash only so take enough with you. There is a cash machine opposite, however it’s attached to Coventry Central Bus Station - if you take your wallet out of your pocket in this area of Coventry there is no guarantee that you’ll be putting it back in there again. I hope that many of you try and enjoy this place as much as I did

尖椒鸡嫩的要融化，铁板包菜粉丝也超好吃。就是酸汤肥牛的牛肉片超少.....一直都会特意跑一趟就为了这个尖椒鸡

真正的川菜师傅做滴，味道就是不一样啊，正宗的不要不要的，太好吃啦，以后一品巴蜀就是考文垂的根据地啦。他家东西好吃，服务也很好哦，居然还有外卖，真是惊喜啊。

沒有想到Coventry這個不大的城市有這麼多中國人，或者說中國學生，而且還有家不錯川菜館。在異地很難要求菜做得很地道，而這裡做得還不錯，而且價、量也很實惠，所以我逗留間連續兩晚都在這吃飯 👍🏻 物離鄉貴，值得多給一顆星！
