Very late , barley warm and poor quality

I never leave reviews but they deserve it! This was exceptional the food was hot and tasty lots of meat and prawns. I usually order from elsewhere but it was closed this early on a Sunday so I now have a new favourite! Driver was very friendly too.

Delivered within time stated, cheery driver. Food was hot and tasty, but what has happened to the big spring rolls we used to get. Would order from them again.

Ordered a takeaway last night. Spring rolls, hot and sour soup, Kung Po Chicken, Chicken with Mushrooms and Egg Fried rice. I highly recommend this place. Everything was delicious and reasonable portions. Maybe egg fried rice could be a little bigger portion when you order a large portion. The soup was hot and sour as described and didn’t taste vinegary - the way we like. Compliments to the chef. Update: 2025 March, still 5 stars.

Well I always order from here as the was amazing. But they must have changed their chef as the food was so bland with no flavour. I had to add salt and pepper myself. The curry sauce was like water and no spice. The peppercorn sauce in the beef dish was so mild and the beef chewey. All the dishes tasted like they've been made in water and nothing else. So disappointed. Will have to look somewhere for Chinese food. Can anyone recommend somewhere?

Once was my favourite takeaway. Tonight’s order tasted nice but noodles were a bit too soft and the dish was mushy. Sides were nice.

Asked for no veg or onions in the curry and it came with veg and onions which was very disappointing. Apart from that the rest of the food was good, chips surprisingly good.

We ordered Salt and Pepper Chicken but recieved prawns, very disappointing. Unfortunately only one person liked thus out of 4 people.

If you want to be served pink chicken then come here . Complained they said it was ok to eat pink chicken that was uncooked . Never going back here again.

The app was showing that the food had been delivered which it hadn’t. I rang the restaurant 4 times and the call just went to a BT answerphone. The food was cold on arrival.

Lovely meal, delivered within time frame give or take a few minutes. Very well presented, loved the deep fried chicken, have left overs for Friday 🫶.. Will be ordering from them again. It’s a big plus from me that they were open earlier than the rest.

I always enjoy the food from Oriental Palace, today I did find the chicken balls were a bit on the greasy side and unfortunately although I ordered a chicken Fu Yung I received a mushroom one. Im not allergic to mushrooms so I ate it and it was tasty enough but would have enjoyed the one I ordered more. Never mind, a small mistake but would still order from here again as the food is generally good and when I've eaten in the staff are always nice 👍🏻

Ordered food via just-eat. Waited 30 mins for them to cancel the order and when i trued to phone them they kept acting stupid pretending they couldn’t hear me, so i tried calling through another phone number and they heard my voice and hung up on me. Absolute terrible service and will never order from here again. We have ordered from this place many times.

The food was absolutely amazing, I could not fault our meals sweet and sour balls cooked to perfection not greasy like I have had from other Chinese takeaways, the curry and rice was nice and mild ( that’s how we like it ) foo yung was very tasty and we also tried lamb in mushrooms and pork in mushrooms truly awesome, we will come back again, can’t review high enough for this takeaway it was our first time here and really enjoyed it thankyou

Just the order of chow mein was incorrect. I deliberately purchased 2, one with onions and beansprouts and one plain. They did both plain. Plain is tasteless and the pork was incredibly chewy.

We have ordered here before and it was ok but this time we were unhappy. The 'large' spring rolls actually quite small and tasteless and the king prawn chow mein was a bit meager and it looked liked the prawns were just thrown into a pre-cooked dish.

The food was great. I'd stopped ordering Chinese takeaways because at most of the places their chicken tastes of chlorine. This didn't and that is very important. Chlorinated chicken isn't even legal here. Good to see a place not doing it.

they sent the wrong thing twice and the last time was a peanut satay sauce which we didn't order it's a good job we don't have a nut allergy fuming and annoyed when we called to complain they wanted me to send a picture at firstthey tried to say satay sauce was Cantonese style...shocking very poor

Dined here for my partners birthday lunch. We had all you can eat buffet. Unlike a lot of restaurants that offer all you can eat buffet, the Oriental Palace cooks to order, so all the food is served fresh and hot. The food is excellent. You have never tasted Chinese food until you have eaten here. Highly recommend 👌

Nice food, shame about the service! But hey, if you're looking to relive a school cafeteria experience, this is the place for you! So, picture this: a group of work colleagues looking forward to nice evening. First surprise—no fireplace, though they still list it on Google. Not a dealbreaker, but we couldn’t warm our hands while reading the menus (which, by the way, seem older than the decor). And with the place almost completely empty, we thought we were in for some stellar service. Well, turns out, no. Food was decent! But I think it was the manager that took it upon herself to be the food police, swinging by to inspect every last scrap on our plates. You’d think we were competing for some “Clean Plate Award.” Two of us only ate half of our mains (totally reasonable), but we were treated like naughty children who hadn’t finished their veggies. It got so awkward and they way she did it, trying to argue… like we've gone to some dodgy restaurant and now trying to get more money out of us. Anyway, the it got weird fast, can over look how crap it looked but to treat customers like that is just shameful to the point everyone ended up taking back their tips, all it took was this one person not to came at the end and they would have been way better off. I suppose it's our fault we should have noticed that when they had a sign up saying Cash Only in a restaurant in 2024 that something was not quite right about this place. For the restaurant owners so hope you are reading this. Your food was ok, some dishes really nice, but you lost out now with a bad review, a very decent tip and customers of the future. Don't ruin other people's experience with this attitude. If you think they are over ordering politely let them know when taking the order and that they can order more after if they wish. Dont do what you did to us, it's just rude and not nice.

Ordered food, it was past the delivery time so I called to find out where it was. Man on the phone told me it had been delivered and he handed it so a someone at the door but it was not delivered. He was rude to me on the phone and ended the phone. Now is not answering my calls. I have told him we did not receive our food and he has delivered it to the wrong person. I have ordered from here for a long time but will never again due to the poor customer service l!!

When the order had not arrived 20mins after the estimated time I rang the restaurant who told me it was on the way.After a second call 30mins. later I was told the order had been cancelled as it was too far to deliver. I have had deliveries from this restaurant before but will not be using them again

chicken balls under cooked were still pink in the middle the prawn crackers were brown and over cooked and hard as ice all in all very dismally meal

I have been coming to this place for the last 13 years l stopped coming the last 4 years as the food quality was poor and l only ate the starters however.... We have been going again since the last 4 months and l can say this is the best chinese in coventry its halal meat and its the best quality around the satay sauce is 10/10 defo a change in staff the food is amazing The lady is nice its small family run and very welcoming I would recommend this to anybody.

The chicken didn't seem cooked properly. The chow mein was nowhere near as tasty as usual.

FOOD WAS SO GOOD!!! The service was also amazing, the lady who served us was very kind and considerate, for example we asked for specific things (even crispy noodles that wasn't even on the menu). I'm very happy with the time I spent there and totally recommend this place!

Delivery driver was awful. I left instructions to call phone, instead of knocking on door. I never have a problem with this, but this is the third time this same delivery driver has called me saying he's been banging on my door, instead of reading delivery I structions. Then demands I 'show my face'. His exact words. Disgusting behaviour from delivery driver, and not the first time. But definitely the last. Won't order from here again

had an absolutely disgusting meal when it finally arrived it was stone cold and not fresh when we called them to let them know they were not interested neither of us could eat the food but they were happy to take our money we will never ever order from here again and advise no one to order from here!

Oriental Palace has been our go to restaurant for the last few years but the last two orders have not been good. The quality of the food has really slipped, and apart from the chowmein being so greasy, the pancake roll which is usually lovely was hard and refried filo and when I cut it open it just stank of gone off meat, really bad. It went straight in the bin. The time before that we ordered a collection and again the food had just been reheated, half cold and half boiling chips!

I reguarly order from here twice a month. I called to complain about the quality of the Sweet and Sour Chicken Cantonese style as the chicken didnt look cooked and was not its normal high quality. Female member of staff very rude and dismissive and asked me to send photo. I did, called her back and she hung up on me. Last time I order from here.

The staff is very friendly and the food is fresh. It is served immediately after cooking. It is really nice to have hot food and rice. Food portions are huge.

RUDEST DELIVERY DRIVER EVER. staying in the area for the next 2 weeks due to work but i will not be ordering from here again even though the food was really nice, shame really.

Really disappointed, thought being one of the more expensive takeaways the quality would be there but have never experienced so much MSG used to replicate flavour. Slimy rice, inedible over salty Satay (went in the bin), a won ton soup that nearly joined it it was so bland, deep fried chicken was so dry it was ridiculous and the king po sauce was a joke, with the vegetables tasting sufficiently wierd to be left. In the plus side the sesame prawn toast was nice, as were the prawn crackers. Avocado

All good. I must say it's a little hard to taste the squid in the sweet and sour squid - but I do appreciate being able to step beyond the generic options. I was concerned whether the curry duck would be too spicy for me - but I noticed the lack of spicy symbol and it was only a tiny bit spicy.
