Great food, freshly cooked, awesome service, going again in group

I have been coming to this place for the last 13 years l stopped coming the last 4 years as the food quality was poor and l only ate the starters however.... We have been going again since the last 4 months and l can say this is the best chinese in coventry its halal meat and its the best quality around the satay sauce is 10/10 defo a change in staff the food is amazing The lady is nice its small family run and very welcoming I would recommend this to anybody.

The chicken didn't seem cooked properly. The chow mein was nowhere near as tasty as usual.

FOOD WAS SO GOOD!!! The service was also amazing, the lady who served us was very kind and considerate, for example we asked for specific things (even crispy noodles that wasn't even on the menu). I'm very happy with the time I spent there and totally recommend this place!

My order came wrong( they did sort out it promptly) , i have left a note for chef i the box the provided)chicken !!!had gristle!!! in it, and was ver very stringly.

They always give massive portions and the food is very decent and reasonable prices

Delivery driver was awful. I left instructions to call phone, instead of knocking on door. I never have a problem with this, but this is the third time this same delivery driver has called me saying he's been banging on my door, instead of reading delivery I structions. Then demands I 'show my face'. His exact words. Disgusting behaviour from delivery driver, and not the first time. But definitely the last. Won't order from here again

had an absolutely disgusting meal when it finally arrived it was stone cold and not fresh when we called them to let them know they were not interested neither of us could eat the food but they were happy to take our money we will never ever order from here again and advise no one to order from here!

Delivery cost is WAY too high, but food is good, and big portions for £1 more is great.

Oriental Palace has been our go to restaurant for the last few years but the last two orders have not been good. The quality of the food has really slipped, and apart from the chowmein being so greasy, the pancake roll which is usually lovely was hard and refried filo and when I cut it open it just stank of gone off meat, really bad. It went straight in the bin. The time before that we ordered a collection and again the food had just been reheated, half cold and half boiling chips!

I reguarly order from here twice a month. I called to complain about the quality of the Sweet and Sour Chicken Cantonese style as the chicken didnt look cooked and was not its normal high quality. Female member of staff very rude and dismissive and asked me to send photo. I did, called her back and she hung up on me. Last time I order from here.

Food cold and soggy like it was cooked hours ago . Spring Rolls really nasty , chicken balls heavy and soggy with no taste . Very disappointed .

The staff is very friendly and the food is fresh. It is served immediately after cooking. It is really nice to have hot food and rice. Food portions are huge.

The curry was ok the spare ribs came with the wrong sauce not good spoiled the meal

RUDEST DELIVERY DRIVER EVER. staying in the area for the next 2 weeks due to work but i will not be ordering from here again even though the food was really nice, shame really.

Really disappointed, thought being one of the more expensive takeaways the quality would be there but have never experienced so much MSG used to replicate flavour. Slimy rice, inedible over salty Satay (went in the bin), a won ton soup that nearly joined it it was so bland, deep fried chicken was so dry it was ridiculous and the king po sauce was a joke, with the vegetables tasting sufficiently wierd to be left. In the plus side the sesame prawn toast was nice, as were the prawn crackers. Avocado

All good. I must say it's a little hard to taste the squid in the sweet and sour squid - but I do appreciate being able to step beyond the generic options. I was concerned whether the curry duck would be too spicy for me - but I noticed the lack of spicy symbol and it was only a tiny bit spicy.

it's never buztmy when I go with my husband.The good is freshly made and I haven't had any drinks here so I can't tell you anything about that but coming back to the menu it gives a good range of food options.Cash only.

3rd time ordering from here, never will again unfortunately. I ordered beef in black bean with rice. The beef was tougher / chewy, it was gristley in places, and I only got a quarter of the way through before it went into the bin as I found some hard sharp splinters of either brown bone or broken ceramic in the food which hurt when I bit it and I nearly broke a tooth on, so no, never ever ordering from here again.

Really nice food but delivery took 1hr 25mins. However I’d still order again as it was worth the wait

Good quality food - happy they were able to avoid adding salt as we requested in the notes so that it was more healthy. I hope a move away from plastic containers could be considered for some food. Those dishes that don't have sauce like fried rice it would be nice if they came in a non-plastic container as some takeaways have started to do.

It's the best Chinese we've had so it was worth the wait.

We use this as our go to takeaway, we have never had a bad meal in 3 years, never eaten in but every takeaway has been absolutely lovely and always delivered piping hot well within the time, chow meins and ribs are perfect.

Had a delivery however part the order was missing had to call 4 times for the rest of the food to be delivered, by the time we received the missisng food, the food we had already received was cold as it didn't come for over 2hr 30mins meal was ruined wouldn't use again

We visited here not long ago as it was brilliant before they shut down for Covid, but we went and we were the only people in the small room, if was very cold, no heating on whatsoever, they food was very bland and watery, and they charged my 1 year old who ate a spring roll and a couple of chips off my plate £10! not at all what they used to be

I think just getting a refund for a missing item is rubbish

The food was inedible and the egg in the egg fried rice was GREY/GREEN and the chicken looked grey. It was disgusting. Case raised with justeats and they said tough basically. So order at you're own risk.

Curry was too spicy and hardly any meat mainly mushrooms. salt n pepper chicken very dry, noodles were slimey and bbq sauce was terrible. Never ever again. Its a shame because it used to be a fantastic Chinese. Very dissatisfied

Portion sizes were great especially for the box set meal for one. However, maybe too much msg as it was quite salty and i ended up throwing the whole thing up. The sweet & sour sauce was delicious. But the actual food was not great to be honest. First Chinese in the area and it was a disappointment :(

The food was plentiful and very tasty.

Having had a number of take aways from the Palace during lock down, we decided to try the restaurant. What a lovely surprise. We had * eat all you can * for £22 and it was excellent and having eaten at many Chinese Restaurants over the years, this one has leapt to the top of the list. In addition to the delicious food we were served by a delightful young lady which made the evening even more enjoyable. I shall certainly be recommending it to my friends.

Our friends came up from Cornwall and fancied a buffet so we came too oriental palace the waitress was so helpful and friendly the food was beautiful specially the prawns and yuk sung and chow mien the prawn toast was off the charts will be back for more thankyou for your lovely hospitality.

An old pub turned into a Chinese restaurant. Nice family, food is beautiful, lots of comfortable seating. Ignore the sign on the wall outside, that's the old prices.

Freshly cooked all you can eat. Hot and sour soup was my fave also the prawn toast was spot on. Well worth the £20. Will be returning.

I'm absolutely fuming ! I have been Using this restaurant for many years so After waiting for a delivery for 1 hour and 35 minutes the food arrived cold..so had to reheat it ... I called the restaurant 3 times to be told that the manager offered me 3.50 refund ! Are you taking the micky ! I probably used that in electric to reheat the food .. I will not be using that place again and what a shame 😔 1 unhappy customer 😔

Honestly, the food was nothing to write home about. Where we were sat, near the window, the window sill was covered in dead bugs. Claims it's an all you can eat experience. However it's a case of please order 1 thing at a time to ensure you can eat it. The food itself was very bland. Apparently they don't serve rice as this was requested on several occasions and no rice ever made it to our table. The staff didn't even make the effort to light the candles on the birthday cake I provided nor sing happy birthday. Overall terrible experience. Also only allowed to pay cash... Seems someone's trying to avoid paying the correct amount in tax....

PLEASE DO NOT USE They expect you to pay for a delivery charge of £4.50 and the food didn’t arrive . 1.5 hours later nothing . Rang the restaurant. No apology . Rubbish customer service. The man on the phone didn’t even seem bothered. He said wait ( expecting me to eat cold food ) and pay for it !!! I ordered on their website . Worrying as god knows what it’s like on the app orders . Would never recommend or share this restaurant . Only give a bad word . Shame as I work in a sector dealing with the general public of Coventry

Ordered from here as my usual Chinese was closed to say I will never order from here again is an understatement.food was awful cold dry flavourless .chips I could bounce off the floor .rice burnt .so disappointing

We have ordered from this place before and had no problems.. but this time we are very unhappy with it as most of the food was cold the chips tasted like they were reheated and we were missing item. Also the delivery time was late which I can understand with them being busy but we had no update to this until I had to ring the restaurant which then it still take another 20mins to get to us.

Ordered a takeaway last night. Spring rolls, hot and sour soup, Kung Po Chicken, Chicken with Mushrooms and Egg Fried rice. I highly recommend this place. Everything was delicious and reasonable portions. Maybe egg fried rice could be a little bigger portion when you order a large portion. The soup was hot and sour as described and didn’t taste vinegary - the way we like. Compliments to the chef.

The food was very good but waiting 2 hours for it to be delivered was a big issue as we were entertaining and it ruined the evening.

Food delicious as always. Was unusual to be later than quoted time but had message and call from driver to apologise and update.

Rice and chips were average but the curry is probably the best I’ve ever had - really and I’ve had a few - Proper chicken breast absolutely gorgeous, ribs were lush too- if the rice was the same standard as the curry I’d travel half to country to get it

I went as a group. The Chinese restaurant was deserted, so we didn't have problems getting a table. The all-you-can-eat dinner cost £19.99. This does not include desserts. I had sweetcorn soup, and it was delicious. As a vegetarian, I ordered prawn curry with egg fried rice. And although the meal was tasty, it didn't have many prawns in the meal. But saying that you can order many different dishes. My friend ordered prawn toast, it was very different, more like a fried sandwich, but very tasty. We will be returning again.

Food turned up over 20 minutes after it should have. Chicken and mushroom was packed out with carrot, onion and other greens and it tasted awful, this is the first time I have not eaten a chinese meal because of its taste. First and last time for this restaurant.
