The weather was lovely so we sat outside and enjoyed brunch with the animals in the field next to us. Food was good and as we avoided the busy lunch time we were served ok and enjoyed our time. Can be very busy / full up at lunch time.

Full English for £14 with tea. Found that expensive for the basic appearance of the venue. The food was more disappointing though. 2 fried eggs both overdone. Plate even looked overly sparce and this was their large breakfast. Disappointing first visit.

Cannot rate this beautiful Barn high enough. Staff were friendly and went above and beyond. Food was delicious Cappuccinos were so lovely we had to have 2 each. Will be coming back. Was lovely to see the alpacas, donkey, goat and chickens too. Just wish it was open weekends too with working daily during their opening hours of 9am til 3pm.

After recommendation visited last week with grandchild very excited to see alpacas. I ordered juice toasted tea cake and hot water and lemon as I'm unable to drink caffeine....waitress returned and apologised as they had run out of lemons no problem I replied I always carry a slice with me as some places don't always have any ....oh I don't think we can allow that I'll have to get the manager!!!! I have never had that response......manager arrived apologised fir lack of lemons apparently a wedding had cleaned them out and I was OK on this occasion to use my own......if it wasn't for the alpacas and my grandchild I would have left......I will not be returning....very disappointed

Sadly my vegetarian club sandwich was very oily with little content for the price. Also finding the environment too noisy. However the service was good and fast.

Came here 5th April 1 p.m for lunch with a friend. We both ordered jacket potatoes me with tuna/mayo my friend had the cheese/coleslaw. Both were not cooked properly both were still quite hard and very dry. I took the tuna off the potato and tried to attract a member of staff but not one of them came near the table, so I took my plate back to the counter and asked if they could cook it a bit more please, no apology or asking what the problem was, the plate came back and it had been put in the microwave which made it even harder couldn't put the knife through the skin and it was awful. I scraped out what I could to eat. My friend said hers was hard too but a bit more moist as the cheese had melted, she only ate half. I have been here lots of times before and have had the breakfast most of the time which is nice, but it's not a good as it used to be the sausages used to be a lovely taste but they are plain and not much taste to them these days. The service isn't as good either, there was no apology from the waitress. My friend informed her of the problem with the potatoes and she just shrugged her shoulders and said oh. Again no apology. Not once did anyone come to the table to ask if everything was ok with the food or did we need anymore drinks. We left feeling very disappointed and it will be quite a while before we come back and wont be recommending it anymore. Understand when the place is busy but the customers still need to leave feeling they've had a nice experience.

Outstanding place with very friendly attentive staff, the window seats offer great views of the animals on the farm (and the occasional passing train), nice place to visit by train, a short walk from Halewood station, for the capable adventurous.

The staff were very friendly and kind. Happy to help and actively working both amongst the customers and behind the counter. The food was delicious, it is evident that the ingredients are high quality and fresh. Everything and everywhere was clean and well kept. Some cups and plates have been replaced/updated, I had previously noticed some chips and signs of ageing. Good to see they are maintaining their crockery. The outside is well presented. The Alpacas are a pleasure to watch!

It was fantastic! We went there with my partner on a snowy day, they had the fire on. We were lucky to go just before it gets full and found a window table. The breakfast was luscious and we both had a delicious orange hot chocolate! After our meal we visited the alpacas , the chickens and a donkey! Highly recommended!

Served sausages that were raw in the middle. Spoken to the waitress and was told quite abruptly it's due to the high pork content and that sometimes they are pink. I challenged this as pink pork definately should not be eaten. Pork should be cooked thoroughly. The texture of the sausage was mushy and they were clearly not cooked. This comment also felt insulting as though I have not eaten pork sausage before. She assured me that they left the kitchen temperature checked at 85c and were cooked, however she took them away to cook them further. I paid my bill and left. Currently I feel unwell from having eaten here. I also felt the customer service response was quite poor and the standard of food questionable. No apologies or any accountability was shown. I don't mind paying higher prices for food as long as it is cooked correctly and served with a bit of respect. Neither was experienced here today unfortunately and I won't be returning again as a result.

Most people say that the best toast you'll have is the toast you have immediately after having a baby, however they can't have had the Yew Tree Coffee Barn door stop white toast 😋 BEST. TOAST. EVER. Whoever liberally applies the butter so generously needs Christmas bonus. Really though, gorgeous food, lovely coffee, beautiful crockery and absolutely lovely staff.

Great place to come for breakfast, loved the log burner in the middle of the place, the sound and smell of the wood burning was fantastic Food was amazing, even down to the butter on the toast everything was spot on, only slight thing and very slight was too much syrup in the caramel latte, but other than that it was spot on, will 100% be back here 👌🏻 Service was first class too ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Had a lovely lunch here. Poached eggs on toast with smoked salmon salad and a pot of tea. Donkey was outside with the goats. A most pleasant experience. Worth a visit at any time

Been a while since I’ve come here,I got a sausage on toast to take away for over £5. It’s a nice looking cafe and all that but my problem is when I got my food….it only had two sausages on it! And…they were the frozen cheap sausages you get in chippies! Couldn’t believe it,I would of thought you’d get butcher sausages at least…not just because of the price , but because it’s located on a farm that use to sell local produce as well.shame Anyway it was disappointing,I won’t go again.

What a great find and worth the trip from Warrington. Great food,nice coffee and Alpacas outside to entertain the kids. Their on free range eggs from the chickens roaming around outside on sale at the till.

Second time visiting and the second time we have been refused cooked food, we were offered coffee and cake again. Arrived at 1pm and had to walk away hungry again...Will not return again 🤦

First time visiting here. Now I cannot wait to go back. My sister and myself often find new places to visit and this is by far our best choice. Staff, service, atmosphere was the reason we enjoyed our visit, all 10/10. Update: My sister and myself returned today, and again we loved it. I had bacon on toast and a latte. Lots of bacon on brown bread toasted. Overall 10/10 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Can't wait to go back. Thank you to the lovely staff. 👏👏

Found this place by chance, a lovely coffee shop. Good all day breakfast menu reasonably priced. Friendly staff, nothing too much trouble for them. Beautiful panoramic view.

Really lovely experience and the staff are super friendly and accommodating. The reason I've deducted a star is the food. I'm a vegetarian so going to a café located on a farm I wasn't expecting much but was pleased to see a vegetarian breakfast option. They very kindly let me make substitutions to it when I ordered, however when it arrived the tomato wasn't grilled, it was raw, the hash brown was undercooked and the vegan sausages were tough as they'd been pre-cooked and seemingly reheated in the microwave to order. I'd still happily return as we really enjoyed our visit and the staff made it a pleasure, but the cooking timings could use a bit of work.

Went on a Friday morning. Very busy but we were told there would be a wait on food and we were happy to wait. Tea came straight away and food was not too long. Lovely grounds, food is lovely, atmosphere great and staff are very friendly. Lovely hidden gem 💎

A popular venue for people of all ages. All day breakfast is fab and there's also a good choice of jacket potatoes, sandwiches and toasties. I love the mismatched china which adds to the ambience. Highly recommended

Not great. Dogs get taken through the dining area to gain access to the outdoor seating area. The alpacas, not surprisingly, retrated to a safe area, denying the children the opportunity to see the animals. The scone I had was like reconstituted cardboard and was served with squirty cream. Coffees are small. Expensive. Won't be returning.

Lovely place and nice fresh food although I think there should be more choice for children. We ordered sandwiches and although ingredients were fresh and beautifully made, thick ham and doorsteps of bread is a bit too chewy for a 2 year old to eat. The children loved the alpacas and the chickens though

Went this morning , wouldn’t have minded waiting for food if we could have waited sat at a table - but we’re told the wait was 15, 20 minutes even though there were empty tables . Bit embarrassing watching people eat whilst we waited so we went to dobbies instead . Disappointed

Excellent venue for small wedding or family events

This is a great recent discovery for us, quite out of the way this little gem of a coffee shop which always seems to be packed out. Recommend that you book, otherwise you may not get in, staff are lovely, food and drink is great, and the prices are very reasonable. They also have a wedding or events venue here too which can be booked which is absolutely beautiful.

Appalling little place. Beautiful location and massive potential but been in twice on a Saturday morning and the staff are soooooo RUDE! The wait times are awful. With a 40 min wait for takeaway BEFORE even asking what we wanted. Seriously how long does it take for a cafe to make bacon and egg??? So this morning we are trying The Brunch Box 🤞🏻 #getmorestaff

We went today for lunch after a walk with the alpacas. A lovely setting, warm welcome from the staff and tasty food. Thankyou so much,we will be back🥰

Arrived at the Yewtree coffee barn of which we are regular customers for many years. There wasnt anybody available at the entrance to seat us as we stood there for over five minutes finally we made our own way to one of the many vacant tables. After having been sat for 25 minutes, nobody had come over to the table to serve us. Therefore we went to the counter, only to be then told that there was no available tables, as we had not booked, even though apart from 2 tables the restaurant was empty. The waitress was extremely rude and had no interpersonal skills whatsoever when I enquired to see the owner she repeated that she was the manager and didn’t like my attitude I really couldn’t believe the audacity the bluntness and rudeness of the manager towards us, there was quite a shock and we were all really taken aback. Only for the fact that we all arranged to meet there and it was a special occasion for my friend arriving from Ireland we would’ve immediately left unfortunately we had no choice but to stay. We have been regulars in this establishment for many years and I’ve never been treated by the two lovely owners in this way. The tables were still dirty from previous customers , when they brought our food over and made now attempt to clean away the empty plates we actually did that ourselves by taking them to the counter A truly disappointing and quite an upsetting experience. Such a shame that this once cosy pleasant happy atmosphere has now turned quite frosty due to the manager. Such a shame

This place has gone down hill. Booked a table which was still dirty when we arrived, which we cleaned ourselves. Waited half an hour for our drinks with no apology from staff, other tables had been served before us although they came in after us. My mum ordered egg on toast, egg wasnt how she asked it to be cooked. Her cup was dirty with brown marks all around the rim. I understand the staff are busy but to not even clean the tables after customers have left, especially during covid is wrong. They need some serious training Its a shame and all as me and my family love this little farm.

Stopped off after cycling 45 miles, only to be told if you haven't booked you can't have food, although there were plenty of empty tables inside and out with no reserved signs on them.

Great local coffee shop. Tip !! always pre book. So busy that walk ins not always available. Near Everton's training ground.

Friends were highly satisfied with their lunch but sadly I felt cheated. I ordered goats cheese salad expecting either a slice of goats cheese off the roll or a small cheese itself. What I got was a large amount of lambs left lettuce a few half cherry tomatoes a couple of radishes four slices of avocado a small circle of what may have been described as toast and about six teaspoon measure of Philadelphia type oats cheese and no dressing. I know I should have complained but it didn't want to upset my host who had organised the get together. I will return but will order the enormous chicken sandwiches for less money xxx
