Literally the best chinese i have ever had. Authenic, fresh and honest with friendly service. I live 150 miles away and i will go back for a pancake roll and singapore chowmein! I'm dreaming about my return visit!

The chicken and sweetcorn soup is fantastic, the squid is perfectly crunchy and tasty. My favourite chinese place ever

Very helpful when it came to ordering gluten free, it seems chicken is the best option. All food was good, recommend a visit, you can order over the phone and pick it up.

The sweet and sour chicken was so good! They only take cash, but everything else is perfect!

This is a great spot for chinese food takeaway. We visited St Ives on Easter and were a bit surprised with how impossible it was to have dinner after 09:00. Luckily Yeungs saved our life, and food was so tasty that we had it two nights in a row! I had prawn Chow Mein and my portion had plenty of plump, nicely cooked prawns. Also the portion was massive. Spring rolls were also very nice, with the complimentary sauce. The lady manning the counter was very kind and welcoming as well. 100% would recommend for takeaway. Its worth noting they are a cash-only establishment

Just avoid don't try it even if tempted awful food and not cooked properly.

BEWARE. Don't normally write reviews but don't like being taken for an idiot...First I must say the meal I really enjoyed, let me explain I ordered 2 separate meals for 2 couples from a menu picked up from the shop the same day..when I placed the telephone order for collection both meals were a £1 above from what we should of payed according to the menu prices..£2 in total above the menu price...whilst queuing up to collect my meal I heard the guy before me picking up his meal given the price and asked " does that sound right "...I thought then this is not right and not a one off mistake...I had the correct amount on me ( £39): only to be quoted £41 , I did challenge the young lady whom took the telephone order and was told that it was £42, I was to embarrassed in a crowded shop to argue over £2 ...but by the look on her face she knew that she'd been caught out...20 pence 37 pence whatever pence I can except as a mistake but £1 exactly on each meal is blatant scamming of tourists who she is banking on of not making a fuss...I do wonder if management are aware or even in on this, like I said it's only £2 and honestly I would rather give £5 to a well deserved charity than be scammed for £2..a shame as the food was excellent but the blatant scamming did leave a bitter taste in my mouth....

I went in the store and the lady on the counter is very polite and understood me without any issues, the Chow Mein was lovely, as were the chips and curry sauce. Make sure to bring cash as cards are not accepted however there is a free cash point machine in the co op just a few doors down.

Lovely meal. Would highly recommend. Very busy on ordering shows they are very popular.

I ordered prawn with bamboo shoot - tasty, wun tun (quite salty but also delicious), egg fried rice ( litlle egg, a bit dry because the type of rice they use but I love dry rice), price is so cheap ( as a main Asian food always take at least £10/ dish but here only £6.5) & they work nonstop. I came to St. Ives and wanted Asian food. I came to Talay Thai kitchen at 6:30 p.m., fully booked until 9pm 😅. I was so tired after 5.5 hours from Bristol. I thought I had to buy something & cook at my hostel. On my way to find a supermarket (Sunday evening), I luckily found this restaurant (my phone was out of data). I'm so gladd, now I'm full and happy. Thank you 🫶

Ordered two set meals from the 2023 menu, and asked for delivery. Food was delivered within an hour, and it was hot, although I was charged £10 extra for delivery. Unfortunately though, one of the bags of food was full of sauce which had leaked fro. One or more of the food trays,which had obviously split open during transit. In hindsight, I should have collected the food myself, probably would of given another star if so.

The food is good value for money, they are very slow but they have benches to wait which are fine. The most economical in the area.

With such high quality food around St. Ives, this place does not fit in and should be closed down. Food tastes awful and makes you feel awful. Avoid!!!

If I could give Zero stars I would. After phoning through our order my husband asked twice for them to confirm it but they just put the phone down. When we picked it up the order was wrong. On contacting them they insisted that we were wrong and they had written the order down correctly. The customer service was rude and aggressive. On top of this the food was almost inedible. The sauces were sickly and the meat tough. I have no idea how other people have given this takeaway 4 or 5 stars. I can only think they are known to the business. They also insist on cash only which I think is a bit dodgy. Avoid!

Avoid! Food wasn’t edible at all, was very dry and didn’t taste great at all. £50 straight in the bin!

It's ridiculous this shops accept cards or any form of card payments ( cash only ) places like this in the middle of cornwall heritage place / tourist attractions doesn't accept cash 😒 its really doent make easy and convenient for any tourist in 21st generation. Just don't why no cards !!!!!

Excellent service from start to finish .. food was on point, the Singapore noodles were delicious!!! All the meals were hot and served in good time ..the young lady serving us with the eskimo jacket on was really helpful , funny and made it all worth the walk ... thanks guys 💛💛💛

When because I needed something to go with my beer. So grabbed some spicy chow mein and very nice it was to, and a very generous portion and nice friendly staff. Definitely worth going back. Happy days

Ordered one dish, the salt and pepper squid waited 20 minutes and it wasn't busy. Food was mainly deep fried batter with hardly any squid and very, very salty. Not authentic Chinese food.

You should try their Chinese rice with duck. Ah-May-Zin! Amazing

One of the worst takeaways I've had used to be really nice

On holiday and saw reviews were varied, not sure why maybe sometimes it's a different chef, anyway had various vegetarian options and the food was quick, decent amounts, great value and very tasty.

Aromatic duck was really greasy sweet and sour pork Hong Kong style was soggy and tasteless I won't be going again

After 20 years of thoroughly enjoying food from Yeungs - I will never buy from here again. Place has gone severely down hill. I have just bought a meal for myself and daughter ( first one in a while ) and it was inedible. I hate wasting food but neither of us could eat it so had to bin it. 30 quid down the drain.

Very bad food!! Neither authentic nor tasty. We ordered vegetable rolls which had minimal veggies, egg fried rice which had no eggs. The noodles and the chicken dish was also bad.

Oh boy, I've never rated a food place so low in previous reviews but I would rate lower if I could. Unfortunately Yeungs was a terrible Chinese Takeaway option, the food is neither authentic nor tasty, everything was laced in salt. I had a beef Chinese curry and I've no idea what meat I ate but it certainly wasn't beef. The noodles we ordered were dry, and no other tasty than salt but at least this time the meats seemed recognisable. The girl on the counter sums up the place with her couldn't be bothered attitude. Funnily and perhaps ironically enough they have big plastic screens between the counter and customer I assumed as a covid measure even though they only take cash here but perhaps the screens are for protection from returning customers to complain. One certainly to miss!! More expensive but if you are after Asian food, try the significantly better quality Talay Thai kitchen just down the road. Or head to Co-op and get Chinese instant noodles really anything will taste better than what we had from Yeungs

Salt pepper Squid and ribs are okay, would be nice if fried for a bit longer. The chicken chow mian prob the worst I ever had. The noodles are broken into little pieces, i wonder is it even fresh from today? Only the kitchen knows…..

Recommend the Salt and chilli wings however the satay chicken skewers was not good, nor was the mushroom chowmein, I couldn’t have more than a few few bites because it was so greasy. The special chowmein was ok.

Kept us going when everywhere else was busy or closed. Had one disappointing portion of squid, which could have been less soggy, but overall some delicious great value meals. Staff very polite and patient with some rather tipsy and rude customers (and I'm not talking about myself!)

If you crave for Chinese food in St Ives, you can try this but just a caveat, food's average and a little bit salty. Also, it's a cash-only shop so be ready.

This is not the best takeaway in the world. If ever you go to Northern Ireland, Visit Fivemiletown’s Wing’s Takeaway, as it knows far better how to actually cook a chinese.

Always risky trying somewhere new but this was so good 👍. Best crispy chilli beef we've ever had and the rice, noodles and prawn crackers were nice too. Will be returning before we go home!!😋😋😋

Food ordered @10pm. Woman in there told us payments via card are not available. We went to cash machine to cash out some money. When we come back food was ready after 10 mins, we came back to hotel, we opened food, and we found FLEAS in there in broccoli 🥦 🐛 horrible !!!!! Stay away of this food point 👉 ...

This is a great place to buy Chinese takeaway. The food was great, with everything cooked perfectly and staying warm for a while. The food only took 20 minutes and we was also given a lot of it! The prices here are what to be expected of a Chinese in most parts of the country. That's great especially with everything in this area tending to be more expensive. The staff here were very polite and helpful, providing us with containers when we asked for them.

We've been coming to St Ives for the last 6 years and always have at least 2 Yeungs chinese takeaways. This year I was concerned with the low ratings they have received. Our takeaway was great, nice and hot full of flavour the pancake rolls were huge! Overall still up to its great standard as we've always had.

Said 20 mins wait, ended up waiting 1hour 5mins and turned out not to be worth the wait tasteless and half the dishes were cold.

Terrible meal, probably the worst Chinese I’ve ever had. Salt and pepper tofu was so salty it was inedible, prawn crackers were stale, crispy duck was not crispy, spring roll was bland, noodles were greasy. Please do not go here.

I'm usually trying to stay away from bad reviews but my experience with Yeungs was a joke. Called them up to order ONE dish. I asked when to pop to collect it and been told 20mins. After 20mins arrived to the shop to then wait with a group of upset clients for 1HOUR 20MINS to then leave them my number to call when it's ready. Returned to the hotel, phoned up and been told it will be ready soon and they will call me. After ANOTHER 30MINS I phoned again and that's when the food was being ready to collect. I appreciate it's New Years Day and most of places are closed so these guys had probably a lot of orders but if you geniuinely can't deal with ammount of orders, just stop taking any until you make up instead of having careless attitude of "I will take the money and then you can wait". When came in to finally collect my order after NEARLY THREE HOURS, lady just said "sorry", then turned and walked off. Very disappointing!

Portions are generous, but everything tasted like fish and we did not order fish! The prawn crackers and the sauce of the sweet and sour chicken tasted fishy. No sure if it was the oil that was used.

Review bit long so flick to another if short on time. Customer service; I come from a UK city, my only trip to USA started in LA "have a nice day" - by the time I reached NY I felt so at home with "wadya want?!" So when I order a take-away customer service is not top of my agenda - Granted the previous owners were lovely and happy to natter. New owners, not as much, though younger member very chatty! The main aim of my purchase is the food, which I have for 14yrs now found to be the best in town. Can appreciate diff tastes etc, so cards on table I am not a sweet & sour popcorn fan, for this try the alternatives. For me it's more stir fry not battered with chilli. Personal faves are satay which reminds me of a sezhuan duck & chicken, with broccoli if u don't mind crunchy veg. And a proper Kung Po chicken lots of peanuts & chilli, no batter! Always boiled rice to soak up the flavours washed down with a sauvignon blanc Marlborough from co-op next door.

Wow oh wow the best Chinese takeaway I have ever had !!!! Out standing and still hot when we got back to the caravan in st Ives bay. Just a shame I’m 339 miles away otherwise this would be my local takeout of choice !!! 5* food

Best Chinese ever, even betters than Fu's in Caernarfon. All the food was incredible. Absolutely lovely. If I could afford it and I knew I wouldn't get fat I would eat from here for every meal. This place will make all your dreams come true. Yummy
