Ye Olde Swan in Milton Keynes

Really great place and excellent food. Unfortunately on my last visit my elderly mother had a bad turn. The staff were amazing and assisted me and called an ambulance. Mother has recovered and is home. I would pass on my thanks to the staff. Definitely recommend.

Nice location and a warm welcome. Our server Cheryl was really friendly and very helpful. Food was nice but not amazing.

Celebrated our wedding anniversary for a lunch time. Attended by Maxine who was very polite and gave us her undivided attention. The food was excellent and well presented. Ideal setting and atmosphere

Lovely, cosy, comfortable pub with guaranteed good food and friendly staff. We had such a nice evening, this time with a family group instead of just us as a couple. Thoroughly recommend this welcoming restaurant, in a gorgeous olde building full of character .

We had a lovely meal, couldn't fault it. When we left we forgot the 1/2 bottle of wine that was in the ice bucket. 15mins later we realized what we had done, so phoned but you can't talk too a human being. CLAIRE the robotic answer service couldn't help us, (THERE'S A SUPRISE) she can't even put you through to a human.

Came in with family. Ordered 5 drinks on app as I have always done. Waitress came to table to say a number of the items are not sold at this location. I was surprised as these were items i had ordered a number of times. Was told I needed to come to bar and also i should not use app as people normally order at the bar. I was told a refund would be processed over 5 working days. A lady called Sylwia was behind the bar, I again mentioned that the drinks that are unavailable were ordered on my last visit. She told me I am lieing as the pub had never sold these items. I then showed her the emailed receipts from previous visits with it clearly showing I has ordered successfully. She again told me these items had never been there. She was very rude and aggressive. I decided to cut my losses, take a refund and take my family for a walk to The Crosskeys. I will never return to Ye Old Swan. They seem to have responded to other negative reviews by attacking the reviewer, says lots about them.

Went for lunch on Sunday 26th March. We decided to visit the Ye Old Swan in Woughton-on-the-Green, MIlton Keynes as it was long overdue since our last visit there. The food was again first class just like on each of our visits, but also what else makes the occasion extra special is the wonderful service by the staff. We were served by a wonderful lady 'Cheryl' who is exactly right up to speed with the service. From a lovely greeting to taking our order, we never had to wait long to have our plates cleared before returning to take our next order. Service could not have been better. Thank you Cheryl for making the experience that much more pleasant and may you have a great career in hospitality sector and that restaurant should feel honoured to have you working there. Best wishes.

Another lovely visit to the Ye Olde Swan - this time to celebrate a birthday without the kids in tow. Cheryl looked after us as always to perfection and ensured we had a lovely meal and kept checking in on us. Always recommend this pub as the place to visit for our northern relatives who visit.

2 of us had fish and chips which was very tasty 2 had gammon which they liked but thought a bit on the salty side. Teapot lid did not fit properly. Cheryl our waitress was very cheerful and efficient, would visit again

Quick service, nice food, very friendly and helpful staff, thank you Cheryl! Lovely old building, mind your head if tall! Good garden space and parking.

Excellent service from Cheryl. She recommended a delicious mocktail which was great for a hot day. We weren't rushed and were able to take our time to order. The food was good and Cheryl checked on us from time to time to see we were OK. A very enjoyable experience all round.

We visited Ye Olde Swan yesterday. The food was great as always. We had the Sunday roast which was delicious. Our server was Cheryl who was so lovely and very helpful. Can't wait to go again .

Were treated to a meal out voucher by one of our daughters pre lockdown and finally got to use it today at this pub as a treat for myself and my wife. Initial feelings good as booked a table online. Plenty of car park space and friendly server Cheryl . Ordered food and arrived quickly. Wife had cod and chips and peas .. standard fare but served nicely on a flat with a nice touch of "fake " newspaper on base of plate to give that retro vibe like buying at a chip shop or from a sea front yesteryear and she asked for additional tartare sauce which was duely brought with no extra hassle or fee. My meal.. not so clever Mixed grill.. Teeny tiny RUMP more like a rib eye .. the gammon and chicken grill and chips all luke warm to near cold and the fried eye served with it a kin to an omelette so over cooked. Tomato still having stalk on it and all in all cold and not what I expected but being the dutiful Brit I ate it in abject silence over complaining and spoiling the meal out for my wife. I was offered a choice of sauces with my mixed grill of which chose the Garlic and Mushroom assuming it was included in the meal ( charged extra for it on bill !) . Pudding. Wife had Sticky toffee pud and I had Bakewell .. ST Pud was huge and wife struggled to eat it and my Bakewell again served cold with COLD custard was the size a hamster would think was tiny . To round meal off wife had Tea which was ok but when asked for Decaff coffee a simple enough request was told only sachets available of which I did not want and so went without. Out of 10 I'd rate 4/10 for meal. Service was best thing out of it all as server Cheryl was polite and quick and we did get a seat near fire , which was just as well as it was very cold and draughty in the YE OLDE SWAN and we will not eat there again unless is SUMMER and warm and sit outside . Sorry for poor review but it is what it is and the truth is seldom welcome. Poor.
