I do not leave reviews. however, I strolled in 20 minutes before they shut and I was dragged in and ensured i could have anything of the menu regardless of how long it may take. i was the sorted out proper with great food and service. love this place. love the guys that served me tonight <3

Excellent burgers with tender and juicy meat. Ordered Maison Mac (beef) , classic bird, and classic chicken wings with fries. Every item was fresh and tasty. Loved entry bite. All halal. There’s not enough space for family seating. Parking available.

Food was ok, but the place is dirty. Also the atmosphere was very weird. They were speaking different languague to each other when they were serving us. And for that reasons we will not order again

Where to start. Best doner meat I’ve ever tasted and I can actually get two decent sized kebabs for less than £20 😅 The burgers are stupidly nice! Like 5 guys but loads cheaper. Taste 10/10 Portion size 9/10 Price 9/10 Delivery time 6/10

⭐⭐⭐ I opted for Starship delivery, and kudos to the swift delivery; changes to my order were seamlessly handled. The fries were a delight—well-cooked and seasoned, but the portion fell short of the picture's promise. The standard burger arrived in a decent 24 minutes; however, its taste was middling, though the pricing was fair. Disappointingly, the brioche bun mentioned was absent. In summary, it's okay; not a must-try, but if hunger strikes in the area, it could suffice. Check the attached photos for a visual tour of my experience. 🍔🍟

While I have only ordered from this joint, I can completely attest for their quality of food. Its the best I have come across in the MK and Bedford region - some of the best seasoned fries I have had along with brilliant burgers.

Burger is dry and overcooked chips, cold soggy. Wings had nice flavouring, but were overcooked underneath

Will never order from here again. Keep getting the order wrong and then when my wife phones to complain and follow up on food that we haven't received but have paid for they ghost her. As soon as I call from a different number they answer immediately. I then have to wait for the manager to call me who, conveniently, isn't working this evening. More fool us for ordering from them again. Absolute jokers.

Proper friendly staff and I even called them 10 mins before closing last night and they were still happy to take my order! Food always comes piping hot and is always very tasty. They do a deal that you can order through the website or on the phone ( or get it in house ) where for £14.99 you can get: 2 of almost any burger on the menu , a portion of chicken wings ( with a sauce or glaze of your choosing ), 2 cans of drink and a portion of seasoned chips; perfect for sharing with your friends or family. Get yourself down there , lovely little joint! 👍

The best burger in the neighbourhood is this one. I would suggest it, and I usually get Maison Mac. Keep going Ali

New to the area so first time ordering for take out. Pleasant staff patient and nice. The meal deals are great value I ordered the Cali Cali burger which I so loved 😍 fries are great quality and tasty. I picked the buffola wings was not to keen on the sauce little thick for me will try another next time as a new customer. Service was great would definitely recommend to friends. Thanks guys :)

The best burgers in the area BY FAR! Very fair portions, great service and prompt & friendly deliveries…and the food is delicious every single time.

I used to absolutely love this place and I was so shocked that we had such a great place so close and so reasonably priced. However (after i asked about it) they’ve got a new manager who has reduced the quality of the burgers (for example, cheap tesco style burger buns instead of the brioche buns), and have also increased the prices by at least £1 per product, and sloppily at that; just slapping on a 7 over the 6.99 poster. It’s just really disappointing as I met the first owner around 1 or 2 years ago and he seemed super passionate about the restaurant and the food was impeccable. I just hope that the current manager will take tips from the past, and increase the quality back to where it was and keep the prices as they are (or even increase if it means a sustained increase in quality). It’s honestly just really disappointing to see and ruins the image of newport pagnell’s restaurants if one of our previous bests has devolved into a not-so-cheap, mediocre rip-off. And to make it worse, they still use the photos of their previous standard of burger on their website, so if you order online - you’re also catfished! So not only are you receiving overpriced low-quality food, it also looks bad in comparison to the websites image. I know this is harsh but I know the potential gormet has and it’s sad to see such a great place go downhill. hoping to see improvements. However the food like the wings (slightly over priced) is great though!

Been here twice now and both times the food was banging. First time had the Slaw Burger and second time went for the Cheesy Cheetos Chicken Burger which was incredible, lots of cheese sauce tasty meaty chicken, good amount of salad (a little messy, but to be expected) we had the loaded fries to go with it which were also decent, lots of cheese sauce and bacon and a good amount of seasoning including pepper. Prices are very reasonable and food is top notch. Thanks 👍

The burger bun was horrid soggy from the sauce and heat. Fries were the only good thing from my order. They used to have better food here.

Hi, we have just returned back up to Lancaster after spending a few nights in Newport Pagnel visiting family. We saw the Gourmet Burger whilst looking around for somewhere to eat after being out all day & being tired & hungry bought 2 meal deals to take back to our hotel room . These were the BEST burgers we have ever eaten🥳!! Especially the quality of the beef, the sauce was also delicious & the bun was great tasting & held up right to the last mouthful❤️❤️the 2 young gentlemen were lovely who were working that evening (18/06/2023) can't praise everything enough. Will be going down again in a few weeks & will be having all our evening meals from there. Lovely to go in somewhere where they are actually pleased to see you, well done lads👍🥰🙏xx

Amazing food!!! Massively underrated. The best burger I have ever tried. My missus and I drive 35 mins to and back to get these burgers. The cheesy fries are also delicious. The meat is of a high quality and the prices are fair… must try!!!

Really, really good Just had our first meal from here, been meaning to for ages and we we’re so impressed. Bean burger, classic burger, fries and sweet potato all excellent, so much better than that 5 blokes place and there were only 3 of them 🤭. Definitely our favourite burger joint from here on in.

Our regular burger place for a proper burger - best burgers around! Great service too - even delivered for no extra charge when I messed up the order and selected takeaway by mistake. Never been disappointed with a single order from we’ve made and we’ve had quite a few!! If you haven’t tried this place already give them a go you won’t be disappointed - highly recommend the House Burger the beef burger and chicken combo is incredible or for cheese fiends the Cheetos burger is a gamechanger!! 👌👌👌

This is my third time visiting this place, since I live near by. This restaurant is best in Newport with decent prices. I tried cali cali and passion mocktail. Staff was full hygienic equipped. It was worth it. I will visit again

I’ve ordered many times from this location and never really had issues. One time they forgot my milkshake but I called them and they sent it out to me within 15 minutes so it was okay. Food is always spot on, shakes and desserts are great, the delivery is either bang on time or slightly early. Definitely gonna be my regular food place from now on 👍

Dangerous food prep going on, since this place changed hands. Had to ask for burger to be remade after seeing the guy prepare the bun, lettuce etc with bare hands having just handled the raw meat. They were kind enough to redo it, and offered me a free side. I chose hot wings which were cold next to the bone. Avoid.

The yummiest food I have had in a while, the fries were soooooo nicely seasoned and the portion sizes were good and the mozerella sticks were a good size, hot and delicious. I personally ordered online and it showed up about 20 minutes earlier than it said on the website, came hot and ready and was one of the cheapest places to order that I found. I want to marry the owner and get them to cater for our wedding.

Truffle Fries are decent, chicken burger was definitely not anywhere near Gourmet 😂 quite small I had to open the bun to make sure it was there! To conclude I had to have a bowl of cereal cause I was still hungry

Complete WASTE of money! The worst service ever! Missed parts of our order and then offered us free fries to make up for it, the missing order arrived after over 30 mins by then we had to reheat everyone’s food to eat together. Guy on the phone was so rude implied they never miss anything in orders so it’s somehow my fault! Burgers were not great no flavour or taste, very dry and the bun just falls apart in your hands. Milkshakes are massively overpriced as it is just milk - very watery tasting not a milk shake just milk/water and chocolate pieces. Wouldn’t recommend at all there are much better places in MK. This place is awful!!

The nicest burger and chips I’ve had in a LONG time and I come from a family of fussy eaters so that’s saying something. The burgers and chips were delivered piping hot and left us wanting more. Also highly recommend the mocktail style drinks - super refreshing. I’ll be back so soon.

Shocking service from this burger restaurant. My daughter found a piece of plastic in her milkshake and I don’t think you can even describe this as a burger! Everything was dry, chewy, soggy and tough (hard to achieve all 4 in one go!) Lettuce was brown and not a brioche bun in site as advertised. Feeling very disappointed with the quality I rang the restaurant only to be told they would do better next time. I said that wasn’t really good enough and we wouldn’t be returning, I asked for a partial refund on the items that were completely inedible only for the man on the phone to say ‘sorry we’ll do better next time’ and he then hung up on me!! Hardly gourmet!!!

Great fries and Bird Burger but on an UberEat order, on 5 items, 2 were missing (Goumet Sliders burger and Oreo Cookie Milkshake) We have called 5 times the restaurant to have a discussion but it ended up by just shouting on us and ending the call.

Chips were nice but burger was soggy and over kill on the sauce not very nice won't be returning

I would give it ZERO stars if I could. I ordered 2 vegan burgers only to find that there was mould all over both buns. On the website it also states they do a bean burger but what we actually got was a fried mash potato burger with sweetcorn in which was horrible. The onion rings are just out of a bag and didn't taste like anything. When I then complained I asked for a refund which they told me they had done, but they hadn't. I then had to go into store to get my money back. Avoid, avoid, avoid!!!!!!!!!!

Super speedy delivery, chicken burger was great! However, the beef burger was not so good. A really good selection of toppings that sounded great, but somehow it didn’t quite work in the burger. Good, not great. Would give this place another try though as the chicken burger was good!

DO NOT ORDER! Ordered a delivery last night never turned up but they took my money. Can't get hold of anyone via phone. Messaged FB page to ask if they deliver they responded with yes so I asked where my order was to no reply! Turned up at restaurant to find they are refurbing. Still have not recieved refund!!! IN REPLY TO GBJ We have still not recieved a refund!?!? It was NOT a website error all your Instagram and Facebook posts state times and days of opening & "order today" plus you messaged on FB to say you deliver! How was you planning on delivering if your not even open??

Ordered food on the website for collection at 7:15pm. When I arrived there was no acknowledgement from any of the staff. There were customers waiting to be served and after 10 minutes they asked if anyone could take their order ! After being served I said I am just collecting my order. The male who appeared to be running the place said were just finishing off your order. That was a lie as I could see they hadn’t even started it. I gave it 15 more minutes and asked where my order was and again they were just finishing it off ! A further 10 minutes later I got my order with no apology from the staff just here’s your order . Being busy shouldn’t prevent you from being courteous and honest to your customers. The food was decent enough but it won’t make me want to visit again , first impressions and all that !

For me, this is the best halal burger restaurant in Milton Keynes. Perfectly priced, good portion size, and very tasty food. Its our go-to place and never have any complaints. If prizes can maintained and standards in quality are kept, I don’t see myself ordering from any other restaurant when I am craving a burger.

I brought a £4.25 “Classic Hot dog” from them, only to realise when I got home it was a “Rollover” Hot dog, commonly found in the Co-op/Supermarkets. You can also buy these things in packs of 12 for £13 on Amazon. Also you need to ask for sauce. I’ve been well and truly had. Burger Joint is exactly that, don’t stray too far off the menu, their burgers are actually ok. Just don’t get a hot dog. Please don’t.

We ordered through Uber eats and we are so glad we did! I had the Cali Cali Burger which had the perfect amount of spice, and my partner had the Cheetos Burger which was nice and cheesy! The chips and an excellent size portion and well seasoned (if you ordered seasoned chips). The milkshakes were also amazing! I would thoroughly recommend Gourmet Burger Joint over the big chain restaurants!

I waited almost 2 hours for my order. The food arrived completely cold. !!! Needless to say, how cold and soft fries taste. The beef was hard and dry and the already cold burger turned into a wet mush. Maybe if it was warm?... I am totally disappointed!

I placed an order with yourselves last night at 18:13 for collection at 19:15. I received a call at 18:46 stating you had just received a large order which seemed to have clashed with my order.  You told me that you had contacted the person who placed the order to see if they can delay their collection time in order for me to receive my order on time, the lady on the phone said that they had flat out refused and if i could collect my order at 19:30 instead. The lady did apologise but I felt there was something you could've done as a goodwill gesture as I seem to have been more flexible than your other customer? As i went to collect my order at 19:30, I was told you was just finishing it up. I had to wait a further 10 minutes for my order to be completed. Meaning i didn't get my food until 19:40. 25 minutes after my original collection time and 10 minutes later than the revised collection time.  Again, the lady apologised and said thank you for me being able to collect later. Again though, I feel like I’ve been hard done by for being flexible, where as a customer that places a big order can refuse to collect later and because my order wasn't as big I’ve had to wait a total of 25 minutes for my order.  There could've perhaps been something you could've done to compensate for this.

Even though we had to wait about 25 mins for our order (they had several large orders before us) IT WAS ABSOLUTELY WORTH IT. My husband and I totally enjoyed the two burgers we had (house special and slaw burger) as well as the maple glazed sweet potato chips were beyond good. We are from out of town, but would travel back for this!!!

A bit of honesty would go a long way. Placed an order through Starship robot which was well within closing time however after waiting for an hour and the robot still hadn’t left, I called the restaurant and was bulls***ed! Was told that it had been sent ages ago and I need to contact Starship, which I did who advise the order was cancelled by the restaurant! Be honest and don’t bull**** your customers! I wouldn’t be ordering for there again!

May be the best burger I've ever had! Update: came back here after hearing about a recent relaunch, did not think it could get better however I was pleasantly surprised... had the maison mac and it was absolutely sublime! Already craving another one!

Very over priced for the food you get, anything but "gourmet", can't understand how it took 2 hours from order to deliver this underwhelming meal.

Food was ok, but no where near as good as it used to be! The beef was dry and overcooked and they must of changed supplier as it also tasted different. Still good and better than most only giving it 3 stars as I’m comparing the burger the the one pre refurb shop burger.

This place is absolutely amazing! The best gourmet burgers around beef and chicken have eaten from here many times The burgers are made so perfectly that the patty literally i mean literally melts in ur mouth! Staff are amazing and really helpful and kind aswell allways go the extra mile! Never have had any issues with this guys the food has always been 11 out of 10 never once had a mistake Highly recommend really worth a vist!
