Yathai in Newcastle upon Tyne

Amazing food! Wow was an absolute pleasure to be tasting all the different foods , a waitress was impeccable and The drinks was super interactive as well as the food.

First bad meal I’ve had from yathai on 24/03. I ordered the drunken noodles which are usually very nice but today the noodles were undercooked and it was extremely salty. I’ve drank over 2 litres of water and I still feel dehydrated. Hopefully just a one off

The pad Thai was so awesome, really, really good. I am using them again defo.

The Padthai noodles here are proper unreal. Loveliest of Thai street food, honestly it's lush. Pure funny old scran pitch. I'm telling you now, it's the very very very very very very very very very very very very very very best of. 👌

Amazing food - 3rd take away and it’s been fab each time. Definitely recommended the Tom Yum Soup, Thai Basil and Cashew Stry Fry, Gyoza and Drunken Noodles.

Food is awesome! We took advantage of Yathai visiting Cramlington and we weren't disappointed. Staff were friendly and provided advise on the menu. The only problem is it might be another 6 weeks before they visit the area again!

Delicious and fresh food, Great portion of masaman curry with lots of big fresh prawns, Would definitely order again :)

Food is amazing, no doubt about that. However there seem to be no communication about when they're going to be at the Quayside market or not. We travelled quite a distance to town just to have Yathai's food and when we turned up they weren't there. Same thing happened today. So disappointed and just feel like we've wasted our time and petrol to go there!! If you really value your customers,some advance notice would be great. How hard is it when you have social media to just put a post out saying you won't be there?!!

Another fab takeaway meal from Yathai. Super friendly team, great quality food. Only recently discovered Yathai, but will now be a regular when in town. All curries so far have been great. Pineapple fried rice and gyōzas particularly impressed this time. Staff even carried my order to the car for me last time as I was on crutches and had parked some distance away. Thanks

Ordered from Deliveroo. Fast delivery, well packaged and the portions are fantastic. Prawn gyoza were tasty and well packed with prawns and very large. Beef fried rice, loads of rice, fresh and fried veg and plenty of beef. It was all superbly tasty and well worth the money. Thank you, found a lovely new place fo food.

Amazing food!!! Freshly cooked heaven in a bowl. Pad Kee Moa was very spicy hot but delicious 😋 Chicken cashew nut stir fry is so tasty. Yathai is my favourite take away without a doubt. Fab service, great staff, easy 5 stars 🌟

I visit Yathai regular on Uber Eats and at times at Quayside market on Sundays. It's the best Thai in Newcastle quite frankly. Fresh ingredients, very authentic and very reasonably priced. The Pad Ka Mow is my favourite dish but there are so many other beautiful dishes to try also. Would recommend to anyone. Give them a try you won't regret it. 5Stars *****

Great Green Curry and friendly staff.

Was craving a late night food/dinner and this thai spot hit the spot. Hands down one of the best thai food I’ve ever tasted! The Tom Yum Soup, Gyoza and Pad Thai are so good. Make sure you ask for extra sauce for your Shrimp Pad Thai and trust me, it’s a game changer! Will definitely order again!

Ordered from here few nights ago for the second time and again the food was outstanding! The food is full of flavour you can tell by the look and the taste that they take pride in their food the staff are super lovely we will definitely be coming back here again! 😋

Ordered food at 7pm and it didn’t arrive until 9:30pm. I understand the weather isn’t the best but don’t guarantee a 55 minute delivery time if you can’t stick to it! Edit: to your latest reply communicate that with the customer then! The driver said there had been floods and that’s why it was delayed but there hadn’t been any in our area. Take some ownership instead of blaming the customer. Shame on you!!!

Had a Just Eat delivery from here, arrived on time and delivery driver was lovely, i ordered Chicken Skewers and Prawn Noodles (Pad Ka Mow) both were delicious, highly recommend the skewers 😁👌 last time was so good i have ordered from here again this time i had the Pork Skewers which tasted delicious slightly sweet with a tasty authentic Thai taste! I also had some Jasmine Rice with Stir Fry Stir Fried Basil Leaf with Prawn, absolutely stuffed with all this slightly spicy the way i like it with a nice Basil taste, the Prawns were absolutely delicious nice and juicy with a sweet prawn taste dynamite 5 stars all round and yet again well packaged and on time 😁👍👌

3.5 out of 5 Great service from here with fast delivery and well packed. The gyoza with sweet soy sauce were good. Penang and massaman curries had nice flavour but didn't taste as authentic as other places in the area. The stir fry with basil was unfortunately really lacking in flavour - this is normally one of our fav dishes from other places, but here was a let Down. Portions could be better for £9-10 a curry (excluding rice which is another £2).

Couldn't decide what takeaway to have, received a discount at ubereats so browsed the options. Yathai jumped out immediately as the food looked delicious and great reviews. The food was high quality, still hot even though we are a few miles from the city centre, fast delivery. Definitely recommend and will be checking this place out again!

I have had a few meals from Yathai it is so easy to order direct by phone. This is the best Thai food I have had for a long time. When I think of a takeaway now I always think of Yathai first, delicious.
