Yates Halifax in Calderdale

Best Xmas dinner before Xmas for the last ten years we all meet up once a year , improved ten folled this year we'll done one gripe more Yorkshire puds or a bigger one.

Been in here loads of times in the past,on nights out and for meals ,also had a couple of drinks in here today.

Went for drinks was a good night

Rude bouncers also racist..threw my friend on floor even tho I told him she didn't drink and was spiked..good music and lovely bar very clean and tidy

A standard Yates just like many others. Not the cleanest or most well maintained but good drinks prices good atmosphere and a fun stop on a night out

Accommodates for everyone. The later it gets the better it gets. Fair prices, staff are OK music is broad atmosphere is decent.

Absolute disaster worst food I've ever eaten nothing else to say rather go pound bakery

Food was not bad. I had the chicken tikka with extra naan bread however they weren't naan breads they were pittas. Apart from that it was good

I recently visited Yates in Halifax, and it was an absolutely delightful experience! The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with a charming rustic decor that made me feel right at home. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring that every guest felt welcome and well taken care of.

Lovely atmosphere, brilliant food and great prices! Would definitely recommend!

The extra large breakfast is one big BIG plate of a full English breakfast and it was brilliant

Visited this place with my partner and had a lovely breakfast there the lovely lady Alison who served us was lovely and very polite and we will definitely be visiting there because of this and this place is a must visit

Food awfull prawns over cooked and totia chips and poperdoms stail like there a week old side sauce had its own hard layer on top of it staff were ok ish. Holes in the walls and files all over the place. Floors extremely sticky almost felt like glue. Do not recommend at all.

Me and friends just called in after going to see entertainment elsewhere haven't been in Halifax for a while we had such good fun for the short time we were in there took me back to my going out days fabulous music the bar staff were excellent we will definitely be going there again

I would just like to give a massive thanks to all the staff that organised the pontefract race trip this week. After arriving at yates a traditional breakfast was served tea and coffee was also available. It was a fantastic day!!, on our return an excellent evening meal was served. Thanks to the kitchen staff who catered for 45+ people. This was my first trip with yates, but it won't be my last. 😃😃

No atmosphere. Expected to pay for drinks before you get served 👀. Dirty toilets, sticky tables. Just not a very nice place.

Nice atmosphere though the day turns into nightclub at night.

Came into this venue on a Monday afternoon with the family and they had open the box on with the chance to win prizes. We had a fabulous time as the host Dylan was charming and funny. We stayed after the games were finished and was tended to perfectly by Amelia wood as she made sure we had everything we needed at all times and remembered our exact order all night. Would definitely recommend people to pop in as it’s a real community environment.

I ordered a burrito and fries with a Coca Cola and a separate Coca-Cola on just eat last night, food got prepared and delivered quickly and was piping hot when arrived. The food in house is also really good I eat here most days and cannot fault anything

Crazy bacon burger 🤤 absolutely delicious! Could happily order that again and again. Chicken was perfectly cooked the sauce was the perfect compliment and I love a good waffle fry. Throw in a sex bomb cocktail for dessert! Yes!

Went to Yates with my 2 boys the food was excellent, service was great atmosphere was really good

my friends and i come into this pub quite frequently, however there have been quite a few times where the bar staff have seen us and openly talked about us with their manager. i can understand that your staff may not be friendly with my friends, however to stand at the bar, stare at us and talk about us is inappropriate. we do not come into the pub to cause anything and your staff have to realise that it is a popular place that we frequent and we have every right to do so. there have been a few times where we have been stood at the bar for a significant amount of time and have been ignored completely by staff after something has been said about us being there.

Visited for the England Denmark match. Excellent service particularly the table service during the match. Amelia2 worked very hard keeping us all served with drinks all night.

Had a night out with friends and it was a great time! Kerry and Amelia were amazing behind the bar, had great recommendations and were lovely to chat to! Conner and Dylan were amazingly accommodating and Delboy was a great chatter with a brilliant attitude! Overall the staff here are amazing and hope to be back!

Great atmosphere and Saturday night DJs were brilliant, Mindy Minogue early doors then DJ Juicey Brucey till late. Everybody in party mood all night long

I must say this is such an amazing venue! I love the atmosphere you get when you go around 4pm-5pm. Countless times I’ve been and it’s always amazing! Yanno just like anyone can have a bad day, well I’ve had only one little disturbance but that was handled very nicely by the manager! It’s nowt to worry about. It’s not something that is gonna stop me going back! Love this place 🫶 I haven’t tried the food yet, but just absolutely amazing smells and sights seeing all that lovely fresh food getting brought to people was tempting me… I’m gonna cave in next time I go up 💓! If you’re a nightlife girl like me and like a lil party, well after you’ve been here, I really suggest heading across the road 😉 (Only if your wanting a party) But yeah most places people say “oh they have a bad rep”, well darling go experience it yourself first and don’t go up with friends that cause a scene 🥴! Cause it’s amazing when your on your own, and if your feeling in danger, they do handle it very well when you ask for help to the correct people like the manager or Door Bouncers. I attended the Harry Potter quiz night on the 29/01/2024 with 5 friends and had a wonderful experience Dylan, Amelia and Logan were working the bar and despite how busy it was provided prompt, cheerful and engaging service. Curtis was an entertaining and engaging quiz master that provided a wonderful night, Martin was the on duty manager and provided great service for seating as we had to make last minute changes and was incredibly accommodating. I will be attending Yates Halifax again in the future.

I was really surprised by this place its really quite tucked away but a really lovely building full of history right next to a small quait alley way. Staff were nice and friendly and the service was fast if I can find the place again I will definitely revisit :)

This is a fantastic venue. The staff are very friendly and professional. The pub looks very festive. The food is excellent and the drinks have a vast choice. The manager Martin is super great and very professional and passionate about the whole place. Event calendar is also superb.

Absolutely fantastic day , the menu has an amazing choice for all tastes. Great staff service, happy atmosphere, definitely recommend. Nice air conditioning for the warmest days, loads of TVs, nice relaxing 70's,80' 90's, during the day, basically no boom boom while you're having your lunch but loads later when you want to disco dance it off. Quiz nights, singer takes it all competitions, bingo... Check it out, you'll love it.

Busy, loud, average- not as clean as you'd hope for. Trying hard though and that showed. Will go again, reluctantly.

Good pub with excellent food and very good service and security. Does get loud late at night so go if you’re in party mood. We did have someone causing disruption but security was pretty quick to act on it. Servers were excellent.

My visits tend to be more nightlife centred than pub grub, but the few times I've had a meal I've not been disappointed. The staff are lovely and engaging, and there's always something happening to keep people entertained

Went to Yates on 21 September 2023 with my partner. He had Fish and Chips and I had the Katsu Chicken with Chips. Both meals were delicious and I would definitely recommend them. Amelia and Martin were so friendly and very attentive. Will definitely go again.

The fish and chips excellent choice!!! The veggie all day breakfast was very good apart from the veggie sausages very dry. Meatball sub melt very nice, delicious sauce. Some meals, drinks not included so check?
