Yardbird in City of London, Westminster

Reservado el sábado 19 de julio para Yardbird mayo así que podíamos podían desempeñar una comida antes de ir a un espectáculo de Hammersmith. Llamado el lunes antes de reservar un 5 por 6 h. Cuando llegamos nos dijeron que no teníamos reserva. Le expliqué que tenía y que me dijeron que habían puesto en el libro y el laby hablé con me llevó los detalles. El barman a seguir diciendo que nadie le había dicho. De nuevo me explaoned sobre la reserva. no había mesas y finalmente le pidió a alguien sentado en una mesa para moverse? Cuando fuimos a pedir nuestra comida 3 de nosotros queríamos carne. pero no había ninguno. Uno de nosotros ordenamos scampi, cuando llegó había sólo 7 trozos pequeños y, lo que parecía ser un plato para niños. No había, y la salsa de guisantes que debería haber venido con nunca llegó, a pesar de que pedimos 3 veces. La torta de carne estaba tan hecha que prácticamente todas las pastas era incomible. Cuando fuimos al bar para pedir más bebidas el personal del bar era grosero finalmente. El Director hizo venir a hablar con nosotros. Nos regresaron para algunas de las bebidas y para el pastel. el pesebre estaba lleno de disculpas, pero ya estaba arruinado nuestra una experiencia. Nos busca otro lugar para comer en la próxima vez vamos a Hammersmith.

I visited The Yardbird for lunch whilst en route to Heathrow Airport. I enjoyed Sausages & Mash with a large glass of red wine, and it was excellent. Good value, the food was tasty and the service was good too. Well worth a visit.

Fuimos aquí justo antes de un concierto en el Apollo, pare tener algunas bebidas y luego decidimos tener algo de comida! La comida era terrible! Mi hamburguesa que tenía era todavía congeladas en el medio, el chico en el bar era lo suficientemente agradable para conseguir uno nuevo, pero el resto de hamburguesa salió apenas tibia en el medio! Mi pareja tenía algunos arroz burrito y el arroz era vieja y dura la única cualidad era el personal y las patatas fritas! En el mejor de los que estaban bien (patatas fritas)

Fuimos para una bebida antes de asistir a borrarlas en el Apollo al igual que la mayoría de las personas que asistían a, 3 de profundidad en el bar a dos empleados del bar que sirve una copa, y director muy estresados recoger. Mi hermano pedimos su cerveza a ser cambiado ya que era plana. Me sentía apenado por el personal del bar.

We went into The Yardbird for lunch, and there were two waitresses serving behind the bar, serving drinks, taking orders and waiting on the tables, the two girls were absolutely rushed off their feet! The pub was full to brimming so therefore we had to wait 45 mins for our meal, and the waitress was still smiling , bless her. We ordered a sweet and after waiting another 30 mins we asked for our sweets and were told they will be another 30 mins. We got our money for the sweets refunded and left. I must say the main meal was good, but why have so little staff at lunchtime opposite The Apollo when there are two thousand people wanting to eat.

Nice pub Clean Great music playing Staff very approachable and smiling! Would definitely come back! Toilets clean!

Stopped here before we went to a concert at the Apollo, not the cheapest of places but the location is ideal. Get in early if you want a seat. Not enough bar staff the night we were in as big queues at the bar.

Pregunté a la camarera que primero la carne asado solomillo, ella dijo que no había disponibles los asados del domingo. Luego le pregunté por el bistec, no filetes disponibles debido a que es el final de la semana. Así que pedimos un pastel de pollo y champiñones y huevos y que era decente, pero nada especial. Pedí una cerveza, artesanía me dijeron que se había acabado, así que me decidí por Ale pálido Camden. Pedimos una copa de Prosecco y me dijeron que hacer dos vasos a 6 libras que no te puedes equivocar. Bastante decente, el pub la camarera era muy amable y atento. Quizás de nuevo, pero no en un domingo!

Muy decepcionados por el servicio ofrecido por un camarero. . Así que grosero! Pedimos agua del grifo para la mesa, ya que teníamos comida y dijo de una manera muy grosero e irrespetuoso, ir al bar! De hecho reservado una mesa completa con comida y bebida. . No, no había cubiertos de agua! Mal servicio no vayas! El destilador, a 50 metros de allí, es mucho, mucho mejor! ! !

Good location as was attending Apollo , decent beers and standard pub grub. Staff good and efficient. Was busy - not a lot of tables. Burger and chips had a deal with a drink - so good value

Visité aquí para comer un bocado en la ruta al Aeropuerto de Heathrow, y yo disfrutamos de salchichas y puré de patatas y un vaso de vino tinto. Buen servicio y a un precio razonable y la comida era deliciosa.

we have eaten in this pub before and it's been OK, it's close to the Hammersmith Apollo but that's the only reason. i went on their website to book a table to guarantee we could get something to eat as we travel at least a couple of hours and we work all day, so it's a rush. Their website didn't work at all, so i then rang and booked a table. When we walked in the place was heaving (they offer a happy hour) and once we waited to be served we were told that the manager hadn't bothered to tell the staff about any reserved tables. The bar staff were swamped and it just seemed totally chaotic. The one saving grace is that the girl at the bar suggested The Swan which was a 2 minute walk, which is where we went and had fantastic service and a delicious meal - so all was not lost! We would always book The Swan in future if going to Hammersmith.

Stopped off for a meal & a drink before a concert. Very enjoyable meal & very friendly service. Recommend

I've eaten a meal here many times before catching a long distance bus, It's usually been good food and very good value. I ate there yesterday evening and it was not as good.My chips were barely cooked, A number were hard inside. My portion of peas was small. Then the ladies' toilets were blocked and unflushable and had obviously not been checked for ages. Instead of the usual extensive menu with smaller options there was just a typed sheet on each table. It felt as if the usual management had either left or were away.

Visité aquí por una pinta de Guinness en un domingo Almuerzo en ruta al Aeropuerto de Heathrow. Buen servicio y a un precio razonable.

Excelentes comidas, personal fantástico, recomendado parar si esperando un autobús o haciendo algo en el área local.

Ir a un concierto en el Hammersmith Apollo y encontramos este escondido en la estación. Gran lugar para un pre-concierto copa y algo de comida. Teníamos una hamburguesa y patatas fritas encantador regados con algunos una buena cerveza. Un ambiente agradable, ya que estaba lleno de gig clientela. La comida estaba bien preparada y servida y bien presentada, y en buen tiempo para decir que estaban ocupados. Es un pequeño interior, pero está bien distribuido por la cantidad de espacio. Tendrá que visitar de nuevo en un día no gig!

Popped in while passing through and had the filing, good value lunch with a drink at around £6. Baked potato, range of fillings and a decent pint. I'm marking this on the basis of good pub grub. Clean; pleasant staff; and a relaxed atmosphere.

My fiancé & I visited The Yardbird for lunch today, as we were unexpectedly child free (miracle!) We ordered the lamb shank shepherds pie & hunters chicken. Both really lovely. Really clean pub & lovely staff. My only complaint is that they don't seem to offer the 2 for £5 prosecco offer any longer. I had 2 glasses anyway so I can't really complain too much :)

As a person of a certain age I still harbour strong memories of the Britannia - the pub which was on the site of the Hammersmith Broadway Temple To Mammon. It had character, it had surly bar staff, dodgy bogs, the quintessentially sticky carpet (which also served as the ashtray and a great pint of Fullers ESB (or London Pride if one was feeling delicate).The Yardbird, sadly(?), has none of these things. It does have a more rock & roll name. It has Greene King Beers - we sampled Yardbird Pale Ale which was indeed very very good indeed being of a hoppy American style unbeknownst to us in the 70s / 80s. it has a rather clean carpet and matching toilet facilities. The bar staff are super (especially for London - I am sorry I recoiled in surprise when asked if I wanted my table cleaned but, well, it was a surprise). very polite and obliging and also on a busy night quite speedy in the serving. I've avoided the Yardbird for no other reason other than nostalgia but its time to move on and I'm sure I'll be back.

We just stumbled accross this place on a weeked break to London for my birthday. Never been to this part of London before but we called in for a drink. We ended up enjoying a few more drinks and a sharing platter and it was all very nice indeed. Fab place with fab staff!

Service was awful, staff very rude food was ok in fairness but atmosphere was terrible, i know this pub for years and has change lately under this new management, don t recommend it

I haven't properly visited; I cheekily popped in to use the toilet during a tube journey! However, I really want to go back as the atmosphere seem great, and the place looks great! Can’t wait to visit properly for food and drinks!

Me and my girlfriend visited here today (20th march) we decided to have lunch, we ordered a baked potato and chicken and bacon bloomer. Food was 5* pub was clean and fresh, glad we went in. We were served by this lovely young man who we got told was only on his second shift in the establishment. Excellent 5* customer service from the young man, asked if the food was okay and very helpful. We will definitely be coming back this summer.

Had dinner and lunch here on different days, Dinner was fine average food, service a little slow, had lunch another day, several things on the menu could not be served not sure why, not particularly busy, good value for lunch though.

Popped into the Yardbird for a quick bite between meetings.Plesently supprised, quite, nice tables with power. Very friendly staff, food quick, well cooked and well presented, not your average pub grub.Responsibly priced.Good real ales, Toilets you don't have to pay for

This pub has very nice decor and seemed very busy on the Saturday night we visited. Lots of people having food...burgers, fish & chips etc...and although we didn't eat the food looked very good. There were lots of choices for beers. I would have given a rating of very good had it not been for one member of staff who was so miserable it was apparent that he really didn't want to be there. (Italian?) No hello...thank you...nothing. The second young man who served us was very polite and helpful. Good place to visit before going across into the theater.

I live locally- last year summer I started visiting this pub and had a whale of a time. It attracts a lot of locals and regulars and was a place I felt I could go to by myself and socialise and be friendly with the staff the chefs etc.Now there clearly is a new manager, some new staff ..... I dont know what she/new manager is trying to achieve but I am not convinced that alienating local regulars will pay off in the long run- especially summer time when the footfall from the Apollo will be next to 0. So after this new manager told me to 'keep my voice down' on a day the pub was virtually empty.... - today I came in after weeks of absence with a lady neighbour- we had our drinks and returned to bar about to order food and WERE REFUSED SERVICE because meanwhile the manager remembered me or something and instructed the member of staff to REFUSE SERVING us because I had been barred ! Never in my life such rudeness refusing to take an order because a month ago the manager objected to the sound of my voice! If I was barred should I not know about it? it is DISCRIMINATORY and OFFENSIVE - she/ manager may well be within her right to pick and choose who gets served in that pub, but the way this has transpired is so offensive and rude that I will quite naturally urge everyone to go to another pub that is welcoming, open, friendly and happy to know their regular customers and locals!

I went there today and ordered a burger while my friend ordered a pie. Unfortunately none of us was satisfied with the quality of our food. Considering the price is a bit higher than the usual wetherspoons i expected a better quality, but I will still stop by for a pint in the future as the place is really nice and the staff really polite and professional.

Had a lovely meal and drink atmosphere was pretty good very friendly staff were very nice and made you feel welcome.

Dropped in for lunch after hospital appointment, very clean, friendly staff and nice food that was very reasonably priced. Not overly busy on a monday lunchtime, but nice to escape the hustle and bustle.

Looked busy from the outside but plenty of room to get to the bar and we were served quickly. Then went and stood outside as it was a nice evening and the space didn't get too smoky.

We had a quick meal and drink here before a show across the road at the Apollo, so location wise, the place is perfect. The burgers we ordered were really well made, and the cocktails were pretty good as well. While ordering at the bar, I checked out their spirits collection, and it's quite decent too. Service was great, and price wise, you get great value for your quid.

Low and behold tried the fish and chips again.and yet again dissatisfied .when you have cooked again fish it looks as tanned as the tourists ,in goa that has been there for three months and just as dry, and when I complained to be told "oh the chef Luke is the manager and if that what you are given thats it ,well not with me.Luke was gracious to give me a refund.And if he let's me in the pub I am willing to try again .So believe it I ended up in jd wetherspoons for my Friday fish meal, which the batter was golden NOT LIKE TANNED LEATHER.AND DRY.

We stopped in here for a drink and a bite to eat before a concert. It's very closely located to the Hammersmith Apollo, just inside Hammersmith tube station.We went straight in and ordered our food and drink at the bar, no queues, no faffing. We found a table and were served our food within about 10 mins. It was cleared away not long after we'd finished.The food is average but tasty and not overpriced, and the service is fast and friendly. Would definitely come here again.

Went for lunch and had the meal deal. Good choice of food, quickly delivered and a good quality. Staff were not over friendly, but this is not over affect our visit.

I fancied a drink as I departed the underground station at Hammersmith. To my delight I saw a modern looking clean bar just before exiting on the Main Street. A well stocked bar and friendly efficient service.

Fomos almoçar neste pub e não aconselho . A lasanha além de ser muito pequena estava horrível . O steak duro . Não foi uma experiência agradável . Não recomendo de jeito nenhum

What a lively place full of fun and frivolity, good music (fri) full of characters ,and did I mention the music.saw what looked like a great looking fish and chip meal,so ordered said meal which comes with mushy peas .sad to say more batter than cod nice chips no mushy peas,could and can do better, oh after asking for said peas came like 3/4 of the meal thru give up .it's up to you.

I met a friend for a quick drink on way back from work. This is a perfectly pleasant, modern, clean pub, not too noisy, comfortable, and attractive.... but what can you say... it is a pub in a shopping mall. If you are looking for a place for a drink or a quick bite near Hammersmith Broadway, then this place is a as good as any other (if not a little bit better than some of the locals around the corner), but I can't see any reason to make a detour to come here.Staff were friendly, efficient and professional.

Falling distance from the appolo theatre ..Large outdoor area which is shared with a restaurant and is a courtyard/walk through area.Lucky enough to try a couple of there limited edition PURPLE RAIN beers.Modern style pub .Have been a couple of times now and will definitely call in again before my next appolo visit.

We popped in before a gig at the Apollo. Great prices and the staff were lovely. Lots of tables/seats. Child friendly (it was before 7.30pm and there were a couple of families in there) Would definitely pick this pub again if visiting Hammersmith

We sadly didn't have enough time to explore the restaurant choice prior to our early trip to the Apollo. It's close to the venue but that's really about it. A typical pub meal. Very friendly service. My fiancée liked her fish and chips but my steak was a nightmare. Certainly not medium and the accompanying pepper sauce was very bitter and watery. Luckily we will not have to revisit.

We ate lunch here, because it is close to where my daughter is going to school. The service was a little slow, but the food was good and very cheap. I had a baguette with chicken, fries, and a coke for 5.95 pounds. My husband had a beer with his sandwich trio and he paid the same price. I think this was our cheapest meal in London.

I was staying a few days for business at Hammersmith Novatel so The Yardbird was very convenient. Not that big a selection of ales but I was able to find some I liked. I tried the ale and beef pie which was very tasty. It doesn't really have the atmosphere that some of the historic pubs offer but being centrally located makes it a good place to wet your whistle or grab a bite when you only have a few minutes to kill.

Being new to the area, we hadn't been here before and we were looking for somewhere to have dinner on a Friday night. We found this place online and their website and menu looked great. We phoned them up to make a reservation for dinner that evening and were booked in for 6pm, no problem.When we arrived the place reeked of smoke from the people standing by the door and it was heaving with people who had clearly just finished work and wanted to get drunk. The music was very loud so you couldn't really hold a conversation without shouting at each other. We waited at the bar for about 10 minutes for someone to notice us and when we asked about our table we were told that nothing had been reserved and they didn't have any record of our name or reservation. We felt like we were being a hindrance to the bar tender as he seemed quite impatient, clearly not wanting our custom so at that point we just turned around and walked out.

I decided to have a meal at The Yardbird before going to see Billy Connolly at the Apollo since it is only a few minutes walk away. The pub was fairly busy when I got there just after 5pm with a mix of office workers, shoppers (The Yardbird is next to the Broadway Shopping Centre) and theatre-goers and had a happy lively atmosphere. Despite being pretty busy, I got served quickly and was able to find a seat at a table.The pub has a fairly standard pub menu although there are a few dishes out of the norm. I had the ‘Whitby Scampi and Seasoned chips’ with tartar sauce and peas. Again, service was pretty fast. There were about 10 large scampi, nicely breaded and browned and plenty of good chips – a very tasty meal for £6.99. Service was friendly and efficient throughout.

The food we had (fish & chips and a veggie burger & chips) was well presented and well cooked, the drinks were very reasonably priced with some good offers (you need a good West Country cider though!) and the staff were on the ball. A well managed pub and special thanks to the guy with the grey beard (sorry, didn't get the name) who made us feel very welcome. It's not setting it's stall out to be fine dining or a traditional pub, it's just good value food and drink in a welcoming atmosphere. Get there early if you want a table as it filled up very quickly after we arrived. Would definitely return if in the area again.

Located in the complex that contains Hammersmith Underground, numerous bus services and a small shopping mall is the Yardbird Pub. It's a good spot to go to if you are early for your bus and want a decent bite to eat and a good beer.

After a day at Westfield which require sensible shoes. This was a reward a well earned libation of ale. This place has a good selection of draught only 3 of ale

Sadly food not special typical microwave bar food nothing special. Price average, average pub nothing special. On a Saturday night no point going very loud music cannot hear yourself speak, but good place to keep warm whilst awaiting to go to the Hammersmith Apollo

We stopped here for a quick meal on route to the game. Can't complain as food was good and price was low with the bar being small but the surroundings were pleasant. Really enjoyed the food and would recommend the yardbird if your looking for a bite to eat in the Hammersmith area

We needed somewhere to eat before going on to see Celtic Woman at the Apollo. We decided to eat at the Yardbird. It had a friendly atmosphere. On placing the orders we were told it might take 20 minutes which fine. We all enjoyed good cooked food and were very impressed. Will recommend to anyone

This was a great pub to meet up for a couple of beers before moving onto a football match.The atmosphere in the pub was very pleasant, the beer (Everards) was kept well and was a reasonable price. The staff were very efficient and service remarkably quick for such a busy pub.Would definitely recommend this pub and will return again.

Was due to catch a coach to Somerset from Hammersmith yesterday evening. I have used the Yardbird before for my evening meal before heading home. I had a burger, fries and coleslaw with a drink added for £1 as part of a meal deal. It came to around the same price as a sandwich did outside the Royal Academy of Art, and it was cooked! It did take around twenty five minutes to arrive, which wouldn't have been great had I been in a tearing hurry, but I had a really comfy chair, a chilled drink and a good atmosphere to sit in. I devoured it when it arrived! Well cooked, real meat burger. Free wi fi. I'll be back.

I had a light lunch with a chilled glass of Sauvignon Blanc at Yardbird today.A nice and pleasant bar at the exit of the Hammersmith Station, it's a great place for a drink.Nice staff, decent food & pleasant ambience. Recommended!

Found this lovely pub in Hammersmith Station. Enjoyed it so much that we returned once more during our week-long stay in London.First time, we enjoyed the perfectly cooked Full English Breakfast. Second time, we had delicious fish and chips. (This was actually the best fish and chips we had during our trip.)Restaurant is very clean, staff is friendly and prices are excellent. Highly recommend the Yardbird when you're in the area.

Went to London for the day with a friend . We had a lovely time sightseeing not stopping for a bite to eat, so decided to make our way back to the bus depot at Hammersmith early for our coach. We ate in the pub there. It was good, although it was very busy the staff were very pleasant, we both had Hunters Chicken and a medium glass of wine. For just less than £20, two satisified customers were ready to make their journey home. Will definitely return .

This is a busy pub below Hammersmith Coach Station. We called in for a quick meal before our coach trip home and were no disappointed. We were lucky to get seats, but had an excellent pub meal and a drink (for 4 people) for £45. A good price, especially for London. Wouldn't hesitate to use it again and fully recommend it, as someone had to us.

We found this little gem of a pub located in the Hammersmith Bus Station complex one late Sunday afternoon whilst waiting for our bus and decided to give it a try (apparently it used to be called the 'The Trout'). Despite the location, which is not very glamorous, we were impressed by the general well kept and tidy feel of the place. We ordered drink and food from a very friendly and helpful barman. Whilst the menu selection was not huge, the quantity and quality of food was excellent and we were actually surprised at its high standard. The beer was really good too! Probably not a place you would go out of your way to visit, but if you are in the area, it is definitely worth a try. We will certainly visit it again when we next use the bus station. Highly recommended
