Food is perfectly seasoned and has a great balance of flavours. Price is reasonable too.

Very disappointed - my friend is vegetarian, and despite stating he wanted the vegetarian option off the menu, he was served a pastry that contained minced lamb. If that wasn't bad enough, the replacement was completely frozen in the middle. We had no apology from management, and the couple on the table next to us had a similar experience! Terrible customer service.

Amazing birthday meal here tonight! Great service from all the staff as well as delicious, flavourful food. Amongst the party we ordered lamb chops, chicken kebabs, chips, different kinds of rice, greek salad, halloumi, pita, moussaka and hamra stew, and all were absolutely fantastic!

This was our favourite restaurant in Altrincham until this week. We had booked a table for two for 6.30 on Saturday. We arrived promptly and were shown to our table by nice young staff. We enjoyed (until 7.30), as always, a nice meal, served by polite young staff members. At 7.20, an older female staff-member (who seemed to be a manager/supervisor) put the bill (which we hadn't asked for!) in the middle of our table just as were enjoying our last mouthfuls, which we found highly unprofessional and rude. There was no mention when we booked the table that it was only for 1-hour, and we still had a full glass of wine each. A couple of minutes later the same staff member came over again and said "I'm sorry we need this table". We paid the bill and left. My advice is: Go to Yara and enjoy yourselves, but only if you can be certain that the lady mentioned above is not working there when you visit.

Absolutely fantastic. Popped in for Sunday lunch as really fancied some kebabs and hummus and this was some of the very best we have had. Everything we had was just perfect from the salads to the kebabs to rice. Great that you can bring your own wine too… I’ll be back soon with a bottle of red under my arm. Yum.

Great food, recommend getting as your starters hummus, pitta etc. With your mains and kebabs - makes a great mix. Lovely staff

The food and service are always superb here. It's even (or was even) bring your own booze. Hummus starter and kofta main are amazing. A little pricey but then it is on the Altrincham/Hale border. I ate here again a couple of weeks before Christmas and the food/service were as amazing as ever. I used to eat here semi-regularly pre-COVID and it was amazing back then too.

Delicious! I would definitely go back. The fattoush and humous shawarma were particularly nice. I went there at 3pm when there was only 2 other people there so I’m sure the atmosphere is better at peak times. I was also not keen on what was playing - it sounded like a Lebanese concert of some sorts, so a mix of random shouting to a crowd, cheering and singing wasn’t very relaxing…

Amazing food and service as always. Lots of options to cater for all diets including vegan. The staff are always friendly and welcoming.

The food was very bland the staff was very loud when they was talking to each other there is far better Lebanese restaurant in Manchester we will never going back again

We where there with friends very bad restaurant food was no taste at all staff was so rude and we still give tips but one of the staff told us the tips is not for them unfortunately I will not recommend this restaurant

While living in M’cr , Yara was one of our most favorite and most frequented restaurants . The food has always been consistent in its quality , the freshest ingredients and superb service . Yassir thank you so much for allowing us to have such a wonderful culinary experience . So it couldn’t have been any different than visiting M’cr on business only now , I stopped by to say ‘hi’ and have the same wonderful food as always . Keep up great work guys !

Only place I know where the kebabs are served with no rice or naan bread. Extremely expensive for the food

Tried out this restaurant and unfortunately was disappointed. I have been to other Lebanese restaurants & the food has been tasty. But here from starters to mains, all dishes were sub- standard. The kebabs had a strong smoky taste and were dry, the rice wasn't cooked to perfection, the pastry wasn’t crisp enough & over all flavour was missing in the food. I hope they make improvements.

Not a review we thought we would be writing to be honest having read the previous ones and deciding to visit. We expected really tasty food and and a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. But We have to say we were very disappointed and wouldn’t go again. We had the chicken shawarma and lamb chops. The chicken was very dry even with the sauce the provide. The lamb chops themselves were OK but the sauce was just very tangy and nothing else. Very tasteless. The starter of king prawn in garlic butter was lovely and by far the best part of the meal. Staff were friendly enough but seemed disinterested really. We took cake to light for my birthday but decided not to do it as just didn’t feel right.

First visit to Yara. Fantastic experience for my friends birthday. Amazing food with the banquet choice. Great service too. Maybe the upstairs lacks a bit of atmosphere, so perhaps improve the decor, lighting and music a bit, that’s my only suggestion!

The food is as good as ever and the BYO option is great to keep the cost down. The new lamb stew was delicious, the lamb itself was so tender...highly recommended.

Been going here for years. A hidden treasure, food delicious and many naturally vegetarian dishes, you can take your own alcoholic drinks though they are licensed too, service always very friendly. Viva Yara.

The food is absolutely fantastic! We were a group of nine so we had the chance to try many dishes and every single dish was spot on. The service was great as well! A must try if you’re looking for good Middle Eastern food.

The food at Yara was quite nice, especially the chicken wings and the walnut and honey cake. The service wasn’t very great and I was very disappointed with the fact that there wasn’t wheelchair access to enter the premises.

Consistently epic food. Really great place and lovely service. This has become our go to for a meal out or a takeaway. Satisfies the vegetarians and meat eaters.

1st time in yara, ,& thoroughly enjoyed our meal.

Visited for my sons birthday meal. There were 14 of us and the waiter was very attentive. All the food came out in good time and was absolutely delicious! The falafels were so yummy and I loved the lamb kofta with my Greek salad. Will defo be going back as will dream about the falafels.

Delicious food, nice staffs and quiet atmosphere Restaurant. Greek Salad is my all time favourite dish to goes with Lamb Shawarma, although I am not a lamb meat fan.

Decided to try Yara rather than the alternative which is almost identical down the road - and it was disappointing. Food not as good as it has been historically, particularly the rice where portions were small and it was crispy and stuck together! Not very generous with the breads for starter either.

We had dinner at Yara on 28/04/2023 and it was one of the worst meals we'd had out in a while. We had ordered food from Yara in 2022 and it was absolutely delicious so we were excited to eat in. The staff were incredibly rude. Every single member of staff looked as if they had worked a 48 hour shift in a war zone. They were miserable. It was just a bad experience from the minute we opened the door. The staff slammed out drinks and plates down on the table despite us being friendly and polite. They gave us the wrong drinks twice and never brought any water after asking twice. We gave up asking again. The Fattoush salad was very bad. It was low quality ingredients with little flavour. It was like something you'd make in a high school class. The Tabakh Rawou was also very poor. Very mild flavour with huge, spongey chunks of aubergine and soggy courgette. We were so disappointed after having delicious food in the past. We won't come back.

Very good food. Came highly recommanded but i was disapointed with the waiter. There was no one to great us then the waiter was having à conversation with his hand free Phone while taking our order. I would not go again.

Absolutely terrible service both via telephone and in person. The manager is extremely ignorant. The place is moderately decent inside, certainly nothing to write home about but I refuse to patronise venues that do not consider customer service to be of importance. Treatment of staff is disgraceful too. If you do visit ensure tips are given to waiter/waitress personally otherwise they do not receive them. There is a lot of hype about this restaurant but the food is average at best. Service is poor and slow. Do not expect a greeting when you enter and pray that the Altrincham manager Is in a good mood because otherwise he's foul.

Ripped off...paid £12 for a takeaway kebab which turned out to be plain.chicken grilled and a small nan. When i ordered asked if the kebab would be cooked tandoori style and was told it would be. It wasnt, it was a flavourless overpriced piece of plain chicken...very poor

Visited on a Saturday early evening. We all enjoyed the food and you can take your own wine with a £2 corkage surcharge. Reasonable value but the staff need to be more friendly.

Always consistently great Lebanese food served fresh and really quickly. You can bring your own booze too! The hummus is the best I’ve tasted in the UK and so is the fattoush and potato kibbeh!

Food was OK but the service was poor especially when the waitress took the menu out of the hands of one the members of our party while she was looking a main course. Seems all rush rush, order taken and not read back to make sure everything was taken. 7 people crammed on a table for 4. Shame really

Ordered a takeaway. It's expensive for what it is but it's always delicious. First off, only received 3 pitta breads despite a £70+ order. There were 4 of us so that felt very stingy. Secondly, they forgot to add an item. When I called they said they would send a driver but then they immediately rang back and said actually the driver didn't want to come out to us. Whilst on the phone to them I found a hair in one of the boxes which I told them about and they said we would have to apply for a refund via Deliveroo. They put me onto the manager who was the most rude person I've ever encountered working in the hospitality sector. He said it wasn't his problem and to take it up with Deliveroo. I like to support local independent businesses but this one won't be getting my money again

Food good, but interior very tired, cold and un- welcoming , we had driven over from liverpool from a recommendation.

Brilliant food and attentive helpful staff who accommodated our party of 5 with 3 little ones. Best Lamb chops I've ever had. Literally fell off the bone and the flavours of all our food were insanely good. Hummus with lamb was unreal as well! Didn't want to stop eating! (especially after doing the Hale 10k run). Everyone absolutely loved there food and the price was worth every penny. My only wish was this restaurant was in Wigan where we are from but I'd definitely travel over to Hale again to eat their food it was that good. Try this place you wont be dissapointed 👌🏻

Fabulous service and adorable atmosphere, however, food is of optimum taste and quality. Chicken in Magboos was the hardest to chew and the one in mixed Kebabs was the best of the lot. Portion sizes are small to optimum. Tabouleh was classic indeed.

Yara is an amazing place to go and eat. Be slightly more careful with deliveries. If ordering through Deliveroo each item will cost you about £2 more than ordering it directly from the restaurant or via FoodHub. If you've ordered before and enjoy the breads that come with it then based on my delivery last night please note they've either stopped giving the complimentary breads or sometimes miss it off. I always look forward to my food from Yara but I won't be ordering from them with Deliveroo again.

Mixed banquet , £30 a person, includes hot and cold starters AND mains of skewers, lamb chops and seabaas. Absolutely brilliant value, everything cooked perfectly, clean bright restaurant. Efficient staff. And its BYOB. Excellent experience

My family and I visited the Altrincham Yara restaurant today, 25/02/2023, we were booked in at 18.30 for the birthday of my 17yr old daughter, the evening started well, nice welcome, sat to table promptly, within 2 minutes of the monies being placed down we were asked if we were ready to order, we had not even had a chance to look, however the waiter came back we ordered all was well. This is not a complaint about the quality of the food, no, the food was really nice, after we had eaten, my family and I were sat talking and my partner and daughters were finishing their drinks, at this point we had not even asked for the bill and we had been sat there for an hour maximum, the waiter put our bill on the table, and we were told we had 5 minutes to leave as he needed the table. This was of course a bit of a shock as there were tables that had been there before we arrived, it felt like we were being rushed out the restaurant for some reason, unbeknown to me and my family, the attitude of the waiter that out the bill down, was rude and abrupt, for a family that has been to, and had takeaways from the restaurant before we have never had this kind of service, after a few minutes the waiter came back with the card machine, obviously we paid, he went away and my partner and daughter continued to finish their drinks, only for a few minutes later the very same waiter came and said please can you leave as we really need the table, we felt as if we were not welcome at the restaurant and again being made to rush, I understand that Saturday nights are a busy night for restaurants, however we arrived on time and we’re expecting to have a much nicer evening. Finally or at least that’s what it felt like, we got up and started to leave, the very same waiter looked at me and my family and usually you would expect a goodbye or have a nice evening, but nothing, nothing at all. What should have been a nice evening for my family and I, was and I must say a bit of a let down.

Love at first bite. Wish there was a 6th star option. Got this off of Deliveroo and it was still fresh, hot, and delicious. You won't BELIEVE the portion size and the quality of their ingredients. The type of food that makes you want to bust into the kitchen and personally thank the chef. The only con to eating at this place is that you'll physically feel upset eating anywhere else. Truly changed my evening. Never stop cooking.

Proper hidden gem of Manchester, Went tonight with my husband who had never had lebenese food so we got 8 mezze starters so he could try different things and a main (would have easily fed 4) Every item was spot on, cooked to perfection and full of flavour, servers were very attentive and friendly, yet waited at the top end of the dining room once they had served the food, glancing at customers instead of interrupting whilst eating which is always a bonus (I hate when you have just taken a mouthful of food to be asked "is everything ok") all we had to do was raise a hand slightly and they were at the table. We ordered way too much so staff packed it all individually for us to take home. Added bonus of BYOB with no corkage fee although they do sell wine and beer themselves. Thank you Yara for a lovely evening, we can't wait to return.

Easily in my top 10 restaurants, the food is so good. It doesn't matter what I order off the menu, the quality is always 10/10. Highly recommend the chicken wings and the lamb chops, I can't visit without getting these. Their chilli sauce I could drink as soup, the combination of the rice with vermicelli, sauce and lamb chops with the fresh bread really is out of this world. Bring your own booze too which just elevates it to the top 10 status as you don't have to spend a fortune on drinks!

Went yesterday evening with a Christmas family meal and the food is always amazing, you can't fault that. But the service was average. Forgot one starter and one main, no service for drinks in-between meals. Always had to get up and ask. Was offered free dessert and coffee which was good but then one of the desserts was just thrown on the table from a passing waiter. Just topped off the service. Missing stuff is fine, you can learn from this by reading back the order to confirm. But to just throw a dessert down like they couldn't wait for us to go. Four stars is generous for a review but I can appreciate good food even is service is average.

Excellent food and big portions! I shared a variety of dishes with my friend. We had: falafels with tahini, feta parcels, aubergine salad, mahmouk, hummus, spicy paste and plenty of fluffy pita bread.
