Yara Restaurant in Trafford

Have been coming to Altrincham Yara since it opened and sadly have seen a decline in the last 18 months. Portions are significantly smaller and prices are higher. Barely any humus/dips in the bowl now and the sides of rice and chips are tiny. Some meat dishes including lamb shawarma are dried out as if they have been sitting around for hours under heater. So disappointing as was always great food. Empty tables now whereas was always full. Corkage now £3 on wine which is ok but a 300% increase on previously. There are better Syrian/Lebanese places than Yara now.

Ordered delivery driver delivered but didn’t even set ring doorbell off didn’t knock food was cold awful terrible never ever again I want my money back

Me and my friend had a meal here and the food and staff were amazing. Great value and really good service and all the food was lovely.

We had a Suhoor at Yara and we choosed a lamb pide. Its delicious. After that we tasted chefs ice cream. What is that ? Its magnificent. I suggest strawberry one. And Turkish tea is very good preferences for finish the suhoor. Thanks for everything. Additionally shisha figures are very very attractive. You should try ☺️

Another great night thought I’d treat my mrs to a lovely meal at Yara so glad I did. We love the food here and we was treated very well. We was welcomed with complementary drinks which i thought was a very nice gesture. We started with sajok, grilled halloumi, Baba ghanouj, each one just as amazing as the last. Then for mains I had the lamb chops with chips i thought the portion size was really good and value for the money. My mrs had the mix kebab with the Greek salad and I’d tried bit of it and enjoyed it. My mrs enjoyed the kebab and salad too. For after I was going to get a pudding but the waitress brought two small pieces of cake over on the house I don’t know what it was but it was very nice and FREE. Our waitress was a very polite young lady and looked after us thank you once again .

Asked for sauces as like them with meal none came also they delivered wrong sides but they did not seem bothered

Wonderful Lebanese food with great eat in and takeaway offerings. All good freshly prepared and beautifully presented.

Excellent food and wine at reasonable prices. Staff were attentive and friendly. Lebanese white wine was very enjoyable.

Makloubeh and Mujadra were simply amazing. Everything arrived in a perfect condition and I would definitely order again.

Good portion size. Good amount of space. Been 4 times, 3 times good but 4th time lamb aubergine bland and low salt.

They not only do really good authentic Lebanese food, the staff there are really trust worth. Left my wedding gift Omega Watch, after left Yara went to my friend’s house 6 hours, suddenly recalled I left the watch there and when back Yara. The manager collected it and putted in a safe place and waiting for me. Really appreciate, Thank you !

Great food always, the lamb chops are stunning as is the Mediterranean salad. Lamb is so well marinated and the charred taste is amazing.

Decent venue for groups, the food is good and service fairly attentive. You can bring your own booze which is often helpful for larger tables.

I recently visited your restaurant on Friday night with a couple of friends. While the food was excellent and very reasonably priced, unfortunately, the service completely ruined our experience. On multiple occasions, the waiter brought us the wrong order, and on top of that, he started clearing away our plates before we had finished eating. The biggest issue, however, occurred at the end of our meal when we went to pay the bill. The total came to around £40 in total, which we agreed to split equally among the three of us, so £16ish each. When I went to pay, I was charged £166.60 instead of the correct amount. The waiter insisted it was my fault for not checking the amount, even though I was never shown the total on the card reader. After some discussion, I was refunded £150, and I was assured the refund would be processed immediately. However, despite the weekend passing, I still have not received my refund. I called today to inquire about the status of the refund and was told it could take 5-14 days to process. This delay is extremely disappointing, especially given that the overcharge was due to a mistake on the restaurant’s part. I understand that errors can happen, but the lack of accountability, poor communication, and now the extended wait for my refund have made this a frustrating experience. While I enjoyed the food, this situation has unfortunately left a negative impression of the overall service.

A lovely place for a mezza lunch. We had a relaxing long lunch at Yara due to excellent dishes and intuitive service. I'm not able to comment on the main meals (though will definitely return to try them!), but the dishes we did order reminded me of Beirut. I didn't even need to add anything to the tabouli! There was a birthday when we were there and the staff made it fun for the group celebrating. It was easy to park and pay on the street just outside of the restaurant. Shukran ekteer!

Delicious food, very tasty. Everything was amazing. It was a quite busy place, we were able to get a table for 6 upon reservation only. Located in a cute street. We were so hungry that everyone forgot to take pictures of the food.

Great authentic Lebanese restaurant

Ordered lamb chops, should serve with salad rice or chips, but only comes with lamb chops for nearly£20, that’s quite expensive.

The restaurant looks nice, the service was good. Plenty of paid street parking available right in front of the place. The food was okay, just the amount of spice used was a bit strong for my taste, others might like. But I really enjoyed the grilled Halloumi.

We have eaten here numerous times in the past and it’s always been excellent . today the food food was as good as ever but the service poor. The member of staff serving seemed more concerned with his phone rather than customer satisfaction.

Sunday night, very quiet but music too loud and manager on phone listening to something on YouTube. Not a good look.

Have always loved loved loved Yara Altrincham - have not been in a little while as I used to wok in Altrincham but don’t now. We had our wedding anniversary & wanted to revisit Yara because food & service have always been top notch. We went today Sunday 1st Sept - was pretty quiet only the Manager who has been there numerous times when we have visited - seemed to be just him on duty at the time we went in - no smile , generally pretty miserable, dumped the dishes in the table , sat adjacent to us behind us on the top table , permanently on his phone with ear buds in … didn’t ask if we wanted any more drinks ,sat with empty plates for what seemed like ages, he was not interested- no customer service from him - a young man then came on duty who was lovely - we felt so unwelcome that we asked for dessert to take away - would normally have had dessert in with a coffee - he single handed lay ruined our experience at Yara Altriincham - I have to say the food was amazing as always - The Manager disappeared off somewhere and it was left to the young waiter to ask if everything was ok - I told him not really as the Manager was miserable and made us not feel welcome but told him it was not in anyway him , he had been lovely. - so disappointed , really spoiled it for us with his demeanour.

We enjoyed everything we ordered, very much. I particularly recommend the salads; we chose a hearty, oniony bean one and a delicate, excellent fattoush, which was a delicious jumble of lettuce, red cabbage, tomato, onion, bread and herbs, with a really good acidic dressing. Great bourek. Succulent grilled prawns. Proper warm pillowy pittas. A Palmyra lamb casserole was wonderfully sweet with pomegranate molasses. Our waiter took down a long and complex.order at High speed and got nothing wrong. He was charming and informative and amusing. He warned us that our request for loads of starters to be brought at the same time as a couple of mains (we all wanted different things) would mean a delay. It didn't. Our bill was modest, after a big spread, and we all had a lovely time. Do visit Yara. It doesn't look especially classy from the outside (a posher frontage and signage would, I suggest, be a good addition) but eat there and you will go away happy. My only other small suggestion is this: the gentleman who took my phone booking was efficient, but a little dour, a little short with me. Some cheerful charm always helps, on the phone.

I use Yara regularly and the food is superb, the chicken kebab is soft and tender. Great food but top shelf prices. Overall great 9/10, As good as syriana in hale barns

Plenty options to go for. My stewed dish was horrible; clearly out of freezer and very old. However; the manager offered to choose a different option. Cramped space. Parking is hard to find.

Consistently top quality from a well established restaurant. Perfect for a group meal, mostly to enjoy a large variety of starters 😁

Gutted to be writing this but I was so disappointed by our experience here. The main issue was that the chicken in the main dish was undercooked and looked raw. We’re pretty low maintainence people so never send food back but this was inedible, so I kindly mentioned it to a waitress. She didn’t respond to me and whisked away the dish. Then about 5 minutes later, a different waiter brought back the same chicken on the same plate that the undercooked chicken had been on, chucked it down without speaking and walked off. There was no apology whatsoever, and no offer to exchange cutlery that I had used to cut the raw chicken. I’ve only heard good things about this place so I am super disappointed as I felt the staff weren’t even willing to speak to us or offer any type of apology for serving raw chicken. The other dishes were nice and I understand that mistakes happen, but the way it was dealt with was really poor.

The go-to restaurant, The food was delicious the service was fantastic the atmosphere was amazing. It's the best restaurant I've been to in years. Won't be going anywhere else from this visit onwards. Great for all the family. Once you have been, you won't want to go anywhere else.

Myself and my partner went for a romantic meal, sadly a party of women came in 7 in number and they were so loud it spoilt our evening we left before we finished our meal,not what we expected and we will not return.

I liked it at Yara restaurant (1st time), I will be returning, I gave 5 stars cos the food was amazing (lamb shank), staff was very friendly and very helpful, the atmosphere was pleasant but busy. You would definitely need to prebook b4 arrival. I saw people go upstairs, so I can't comment on what is up there. Overall, I would recommend Yara Restaurant.

Best Lebanese restaurant in greater Manchester (or north England)

Placed an order to pick up about an hour ago and it was my first time trying this amazing restaurant. Well done! Food was absolutely delicious, service was kind and atmosphere really nice and clean! I will definitely be back again and book a table for next time. Really enjoyed and recommended.

While Lebanese this place offers some decent vegan options and shouldn't be overlooked. Aside from starters, there are two good options in the mains section. Others in our group opted for a selection of starters which work similar to a mere. While place was packed midweek, service was decent with first plates coming through after 20 minutes.

Lovely chicken dishes, lamb chops not so great abit tough and overall very big which makes me think they are mutton. Overall though lovely service and every other dish was excellent. Wouldn’t order the lamb chops again though. Rice and chips all great and everything well priced.

Food is perfectly seasoned and has a great balance of flavours. Price is reasonable too.

Very disappointed - my friend is vegetarian, and despite stating he wanted the vegetarian option off the menu, he was served a pastry that contained minced lamb. If that wasn't bad enough, the replacement was completely frozen in the middle. We had no apology from management, and the couple on the table next to us had a similar experience! Terrible customer service.

Amazing birthday meal here tonight! Great service from all the staff as well as delicious, flavourful food. Amongst the party we ordered lamb chops, chicken kebabs, chips, different kinds of rice, greek salad, halloumi, pita, moussaka and hamra stew, and all were absolutely fantastic!

We enjoyed (until 7.30), as always, a nice meal, served by polite young staff members. At 7.20, an older female staff-member (who seemed to be a manager/supervisor) put the bill (which we hadn't asked for!) in the middle of our table just as were enjoying our last mouthfuls, which we found highly unprofessional and rude. There was no mention when we booked the table that it was only for 1-hour, and we still had a full glass of wine each. A couple of minutes later the same staff member came over again and said "I'm sorry we need this table". We paid the bill and left. My advice is: Go to Yara and enjoy yourselves, but only if you can be certain that the lady mentioned above is not working there when you visit.

Absolutely fantastic. Popped in for Sunday lunch as really fancied some kebabs and hummus and this was some of the very best we have had. Everything we had was just perfect from the salads to the kebabs to rice. Great that you can bring your own wine too… I’ll be back soon with a bottle of red under my arm. Yum.

The food and service are always superb here. It's even (or was even) bring your own booze. Hummus starter and kofta main are amazing. A little pricey but then it is on the Altrincham/Hale border. I ate here again a couple of weeks before Christmas and the food/service were as amazing as ever. I used to eat here semi-regularly pre-COVID and it was amazing back then too.

Delicious! I would definitely go back. The fattoush and humous shawarma were particularly nice. I went there at 3pm when there was only 2 other people there so I’m sure the atmosphere is better at peak times. I was also not keen on what was playing - it sounded like a Lebanese concert of some sorts, so a mix of random shouting to a crowd, cheering and singing wasn’t very relaxing…

Amazing food and service as always. Lots of options to cater for all diets including vegan. The staff are always friendly and welcoming.

We where there with friends very bad restaurant food was no taste at all staff was so rude and we still give tips but one of the staff told us the tips is not for them unfortunately I will not recommend this restaurant

While living in M’cr , Yara was one of our most favorite and most frequented restaurants . The food has always been consistent in its quality , the freshest ingredients and superb service . Yassir thank you so much for allowing us to have such a wonderful culinary experience . So it couldn’t have been any different than visiting M’cr on business only now , I stopped by to say ‘hi’ and have the same wonderful food as always . Keep up great work guys !

Another fantastic meal here , my favourite restaurant Alissa (hope I got it right) the waiter was amazing as she was serving the top floor all by herself and couldn’t do enough 10/10 food and service cheers marc
