Yara Restaurant in Bury

In the menu it says that the Motabal comes with pita bread. It doesn’t. The pita bread was missing.

Always fresh and tasty. Tonight we met the only delivery driver who has said thank you for the tip we gave when we ordered!

Can’t fault the food and service.

Worst meal we've ever had. Service was slow and poor to say the least. Spicy Sausage starter had no 'presentation skills' they were just four sausages plonked on a plate ... they'd be served better at a "greasy spoon café ! ... as for spicy !? .. tasted more like Richmand Pork Sausages .... Awful 😖 The Houmous was so bland we had to season it with Salt & Pepper. The mains didn't fair any better ... my Lamb dish looked so aneamic and again, presentation skills were none existent .... My wife's chicken dish in some kind of tomato sauce was absolutely tasteless, no seasoning, no herbs or spices .... tasted like a tin of Pasata had just been poured over some chicken. Hence to say we didn't finish our meal and when I said to the Waiter ... "This is the worst meal we've ever had !" ..... His reply was "No problem" ... No problem ?? .... what kind of reply was that ?? ..... Absolutely Awful and we'll NEVER go here again !! ....

Food quality was horrendous, was delivered meat that had gone off. And 2 salads that were totally different from description. Never using jus eat, as they did not seem concerned about the food safety aspect at all. Never yara or just eat again

The food is not what it used to be. The Swarma was mainly fat. The pitta breads were cold

Delicious quality ingredients cooked with love and care and delivered efficiently with a smile. However, sadly, the main course ordered did not come with any accompaniments despite me adding notes to the order to confirm the choice from options available, the price paid was therefore very expensive for a main course without any accompanying items.

Food was mediocre, not terrible, but nothing special. The place was understaffed with one poor waitress surving all the tables. The starters took almost an hour to come out! And they don't provide enough bread Not coming back again

The food was delicious, unfortunately the service was terrible. Had to go to the bar to order drinks, when we asked for the bill it was thrown on the table because we had interrupted the servers conversation with two women on the table behind.

Went here for dinner recently with family, dinner for 4 was £112, really good portion sizes (couldn’t finish the chicken kebab!) but the salad was actually the highlight for me. Super fresh and tasty, we called up last minute and they fit us in. Would definitely recommend

Busy local Lebanese restaurant. Huge range of choices on the menu making sharing very easy. Lots of vegetarian options. Small drinks list but BYO with a small corkage charge. Friendly service

The food was mediocre and had no resemblance to Lebanese or Mediterranean cuisine. I asked for Lahmajun but received something else entirely and the “manager” told me to deal with it. The service was terrible and they took an hour to bring the main course without any apology. They made two mistakes with my order. It would have been understandable if the restaurant was crowded, but it was practically empty and we were the only customers. One of my dishes (Kofta Kebab) came with just two skewers and nothing else, not even salad, rice or bread. We had to order bread separately. I was very unhappy with this experience. This was our second and final visit.

We visited as a party of 5 and we all enjoyed the lovely food as always. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend this Lebanese cuisine restaurant.

bit disappointed, shami rice was bland, the babgabouj either had too much lemon or was gone off, not pleasant tbh and it was a grey colour, the pitta bread was a bit tough and bland, the falafel was dry and bland, the kibbeh however was nice and flavourful. my lilt was not cold either

Food was beautiful and was made to feel extremely welcome.

I am sorry to say that we were really disappointed with our first visit to Yara. We booked this for a wedding anniversary with family members and we felt let down. Firstly I just want to say that the food was ok, we have eaten at other Lebanese restaurants in the area, however we found that some of the dishes here were a little bland in taste and improvements could be made. What we found really disappointing was the service, when we were first seated one member of staff happily took our order and after about 20 mins came back for the food order. After that no one came near us, no one check on us to see if the food was ok. There was no offer of any further drinks or even if we would like deserts. When we finally managed to get hold of a staff member and asked for the bill it was brought over and left on the side of the table with no mention of how we would like to pay. When I checked the bill we had been charged for drinks that we did not have. We went to find a member of staff and tried to explain the situation to a member of staff but they were really unhelpful and had every excuse under the sun. Its a real shame as we had good expectations from Yara having been recommended by someone else.

Great experience for Lebanese food, everything was great. Plenty of free secure parking at the rear.

Awful, second worst meal I’ve ever had. Slowest service I’ve ever experienced The starters came out after the mains and the food was tasteless. Save yourself a lot of time and money, go to Remal for a far better Lebanese.

The humus was great, the chicken dish I had was OK. The shwarma better. I wanted to like Yara more. The service was great. Plan to go back in case it is just about making the right menu choices. It was a big menu.

Very tasty, we all love Lebanese food. This was the first time we have ordered from this restaurant. The Kibbeh and Maklubeh especially were spot on and very authentic.

Early Evening Dinner for 2. £25 each plus tip Booked for 6:00. First time visitor. Arrived to be met with a polite waitress, after a moment of doubt we were escorted to our table. A handwriting issue... Nice ambiance, nicely done inside, bright and not noisy. I am deaf and believe me being able to talk and be understood is a blessing. Drinks were offered promptly, and arrived before the food order was taken. We ended up with 2 rounds. I could have eaten anything on the menu, it all sounded amazing. We ordered and shared two hot starters, then both had main dishes with rice. Kibbeh and a cheese spinach and lamb pasty. A chicken and a lamb dish, my wife's was with peppers and mushroom, mine was with aubergine. Service was prompt, and very professional. Thoroughly recommend. Do book though. It gets very busy.

I love this type of food, it was delivered hot and on time. I would order again. The only thing wrong was the quality, I got fatty bits on top of the hummus, and the musakka was really wet with no white sauce, or the white sauce disappeared into the tomato because it was so wet. I wouldn't have that dish again. Also I ordered tahini and was given yoghurt sauce instead and garlic mayo. But their chicken wings are so good.

The food was amazing! I did however think it came with rice but that was a mistake on my part. I will definitely be ordering from here again.

We held my Dad's surprise 70th at Yara Whitefield for 43 people and it was amazing! They set the tables up perfectly for us and the food was out of this world. The dips were fresh and delicious, the meats seasoned and grilled to perfection and the various veggie options went down a treat. These were all served with a smile by the amazing waiters and manager. Thank you all so much for making my Dad's day so special. We will be back very soon 😊

Excellent all round! Food was delicious and the staff were super helpful. Excellent value for pretty substantial portions! Would highly recommend. Car park is a tricky to spot from the main road and suffers from minimal lighting with some significant pot holes too!!

Embarrassing! Ruined my New Years evening. Never visited a Lebanese restaurant and not very familia with the food. We were given the wrong food by the staff! However after being slightly confused we assumed it was ours. As we did arrive an hour before closing, we thought the polite option was to just ignore the mistake! Wrong choice!!! Turned out that it was not our food but for another table, which when the staff actually realised it was to late. After explaining to a young lad, who seemed very understanding and said that “it wasn’t our fault”. the old man with an accent who took our order approached us, made sure every single person in the restaurant heard before telling us off for eating the wrong food, seemed that he was trying to imply that we stole the food…. I apologised a number of times, even approached the couple who’s food we had unknowingly eaten apologised! We were then told that we must pay for the “food we had eaten” which was understandable. The food that we were given was, - plate of lamb chops -plate of some sort of beef cubes - two plates of rice, - a small sauce. -2 pineapple and a seven up (the only correct things it appears). When we finally were given the bill, the staff gave a slight discount but left the need to add the chicken that we never received… this was mentioned. When given the bill it was still incorrect however we paid and left as soon as we could. I would like the staff at yara to know that you ruined my evening, made me feel extremely embarrassed. The only reason the I ate the food was to try to cheer up my husband. But it was lovely to see the effort you all went to for the other couple, for your own mistake!!!

Originally quoted 6.40pm and delivery was then bumped to 7.25pm. Once delivered the food was stone cold. We had to warm up and by this time it made the meat chewy. Shame because never had a bad meal before from here. Usually the food is 10/10. Very disappointed this evening though.

What a joke of a place this is . Rude , don’t listen and from there attitude don’t care much either. Sometimes you have to give places a second chance , well this was me . Apart from the above the drive turned up with half my food ( really nice delivery guy ) and apologised saying he would go back for the rest. I said I’ll just pay for the kebab and don’t worry coming back. He then explained I had to pay £1.45 for mango sauce and a further £1.45 for yoghurt sauce . I started laughing and said keep it as I’ve never been charged for kebab sauces before. He phone his boss and took it away. I wouldn’t mind if the food was that good , I was just hungry and thought it can’t happen twice . But this time was even worse. Guess it’s your choice like it was mine where you order. But there are many far better places .

Half my order was missing . The kids meal is supposed to come with chips and a drink and I received neither .just eats contact us link doesn’t work so how does anyone complain?

Absolutely fantastic in all ways.. simply you get the best food served with love by very experienced and friendly staff. Strongly recommended visiting and enjoying the real taste of Syrian and Lebanese cuisine while enkoying beautiful songs of Lebanon iconic singer, Fairouz. It takes you to a different world of happiness. You will never be disappointed. I brought my daughter there with friends to celebrate her birthday. Great atmosphere and you are made to feel very special. All food cooked from fresh ingredients and served on time so it is warm and so tasty. Deserts taste divine. Will definitely go back there again. Thank you for looking after us. We made beautiful memories and enjoyed our visit today. ❤️

Fab food as I have eaten there with my family multiple of times, but the customer service leaves a lot to be desired. This is so especially when attempting to book a table or make enquiries, so much so that I have resorted to go the competition and discovered a similar restaurant called Remal in Prestwich. Next time I go to Yara, it would be in south Manchester branch.

A very nice restaurant inside with lovely staff. Food is mediocre at best. Dips were nice. Main dishes were dry and tasteless. Shame. Wish the waiters had told us that we didn't need a main per person. Waste of food especially as it wasn't worth taking it home.

The food is amazing. Proper authentic Lebanese cuisine with its great deliciousness. I have ordered through deliveroo today for the first time, I haven’t only received the order fast and in generous portions but it was warm, labeled clearly, super clean, & arranged in a fabulous way in the bags as in cold food separately from the hot food. I ordered Fatoush, mixed chicken & babaghanouj. Oh my God, I flipping enjoyed it😋🤤. Proper taste ohhhh amazing. Thank you so much Yara ur an absolute Legend. I needed it. 100% 10 ⭐️s. You won a loyal and long term customer 👍🏻 Impressive 😍
