Food is mega and the staff are very friendly and helpful especially the lady with all the tattoos and my little boys name for the chippy is slug lady chippy 😂 fantastic place

I was passing today and something called me in. The fish and chips were absolutely perfect, the best I’ve had in a while. I’ll try the homemade pie next time. Highly recommended if you are in the Ramsbottom area.

Visited Fish & Chips Co first time today following reading a review in the Bury Times. It lived up to its billing in the newspaper. Nice staff and high quality food (had a few different things). Fish & Chips was simply sumptuous. Generous portions, glutten free frying (particularly good as amongst very few in Bury to provide this) and nice, clean environment. Easy parking on main road in front of shop. Highly recommended. Check it out!

After ordering by phone, had to wait nearly 15 minutes. The fish were covered in a strange looking batter, which was not crisp and very disappointing.

I don’t know if this was a mistake. But this pie, don’t know if I can call it a pie, this 2 small mouthful’s of crust n cheese and the smallest portions I’ve ever had im from a chippy. I know times are hard, but not this hard.

Excellent gluten-free menu served everyday they have an Irish curry strongly recommend if not had. Very clean and friendly staff. Good parking outside. Will definitely return when in area wish more fish and chip shops could do the same as this place free gluten free menu

After seeing a review that this is the best chippy in Ramsbottom we decided on chips and gravy for lunch. Shouldn’t of bothered, your chips were flavourless and the gravy tasted like my ex’s time of the month. Avoid at all cost

We decided to go for a random drive for some tea tonight, so we checked out reviews of chippies in Ramsbottom and set this one on the satnav. 45 miles later we arrived and were not disappointed! Freshly battered cod and lovely chips that were fresh and not greasy. And the gravy over the battered sausage was so rich like the meaty gravy you get in a steak pie. Absolutely lovely and so well priced too. So recommend this place, well worth the 90 mile round trip!

I was amazed to find this place , being coeliac it's not often I find a chippy offering a gluten free menu, pea fritters and scallops are amazing! They also have gluten free curry , just wish they would offer gluten free gravy too.

Beautifully freshly fried fish, homemade steak pudding, homemade cheese pie, freshly fried scampi. All with beautifully made chips. Lads behind the counter were nice and friendly. So much better than the greasy options closer to home. Loved it.

After 14 months out of the country we decided on Fish and Chips for our first takeaway treat. I can honestly say these are the best fish and chips we have had in years. They were very reasonably priced and served by nice, friendly, polite staff. Give them a try you will not be disappointed.

I noted this place was open till 8PM so arrived just after 7.30 and all 3 of the staff were miserable. No hello or welcome and not one smile between them. One of the women asked abruptly " will you be wanting fish ". I said yes and she proceeded to batter a fish and throw it in the fryer. It felt like I had asked her go and clean the toilets, not serve a decent and respectful customer a piece of fish. I hadn't even been asked what sort of fish I would like. I waited another ten minutes and the other woman in there just said "what do you want then?", in a manner that was again abrupt and impolite, as though they just wanted to go home and I was just an inconvenience. I got up and told her not to bother and left. This place needs to sort its customer service out. Absolutely vile experience.

Just visited this chippy and i must say the member of staff couldn't of helped anymore even in the pooring rain he came and served a tasty pie and chips to the car door.. absolutely brilliant, will be visiting again forsure. And thank you 👍

Our first visit but it won’t be our last, just fab, freshly cooked fish and crunchy chips, we will be working our way through the menu as this will be our new local now as we moved close by only recently

Fish n chips from my local chippy for the last time! Absolutely awful. How can they serve up such crap and charge you a small fortune. The worst chips I have ever had. Fish wasn’t much better but that’s us done. Never again will I go in here when the chippy in stubbins is open! Do yourself a favour and compare with stubbins chippy… it’s chalk n cheese my friends.

This chippy is consistently excellent. Food is terrific and the service is always great (lovely people and nothing is too much trouble). Popped in on my way home from a long hike last night for pudding, chips, peas and gravy. Delicious! My dog was also happy with a sausage for his tea. Thank you : ) Keep doing what you're doing guys.

Amazing Gluten Free options 🙌❤️

Visited here this evening expecting a nice meal based on the reviews from others. Don't know what happened on this occasion perhaps the warm weather is to blame. The chips had been redipped and were hard, the puddings were so dry that the gravy had congeieled inside them. - Clearly obvious they had been sat in the steamer for too long, And they also got my order wrong. Have to say I've had a lot better. Think I will give it a miss next time.

Everything cooked nice and fresh. Gluten free offerings make it possible for the whole family to enjoy a meal together. Had to travel from Haslingden but well worth it. Nice friendly staff.

Quick service - nicely cooked food, great choice. Never seen Fish Cakes made into small footballs, they look amazing ! Definitely trying them at my next visit.

Fantastic fish and chips, beautiful fish with crispy batter, great chips, very generous portions. The fish are so large they barely fit in the box. Staff are efficient and friendly. I will be a regular visitor here.

I phoned to see if they did gluten free fish and chips and was assured that they did and that I could pre order it to save waiting round later on. They also assured me they were very conscious of cross contamination, everything was prepared seoarately and they had a lot of experience of gluten free, they were even able to privide gluten free vinegar! I ordered 2 fish and chips to pick up at 5.30, which were ready when I arrived. I wasn’t disappointed, perfect fish and chips with a really light batter and well cooked chips. I’ve recommended them to various friends, particularly as there’’s so much gluten free choice which is unusual! Great food, lovely staff and they couldn’t have been more helpful, my new favourite chippy, thank you all so much

Shocking treatment of customers by staff. The attitude is they are doing you a favour by being there. So they've run out of fish recently, (twice!) A chippy that runs out of fish! Says it all really. Customers waiting in a queue (over 20) told to come back in an hour because telephone orders are taking precedence!! You couldn't get through on the phone even when looking in the window waiting for then to put the phone down. Hacked off?? Fish is cooked to order, meaning everyone has to wait for it to be cooked and big queues build up. It also means that your fish is full of grease as it isn't left long enough for the grease to drain away. The cardboard box is sodden with grease when you get home and taste is hit and miss, no consistency. Chips often are cold or dry, then again sometimes greasy and soggy No idea why they are working such a slow method. The fish doesn't taste and better for it! Cash only, it seems to be too difficult to get a card machine installed, and there are no cash machines anywhere near. It seems the staff are incapable of any type of change or improvement Couple of months on and it's not got any better

An easy treat during lock down... We haven’t had a chippy for a while after being disappointed by the other restaurants near by. But had a real craving for it last night and tried our luck not the fish and chip co. We were not disappointed, called ahead to order and they managed to fit us in within half an hour. Real old fashioned chips, misshapen perfection. The smell when we opened the box.. ahhhh, I’m actually making myself hungry, is it too soon to order another one?

Purchased two chip muffins and two portions of onion rings on Monday 23rd March. We couldn't eat the chips as they were hard and dry. They must have been cooked much earlier and kept warm. The onion rings were nice, but we wont be going again.

I stopped going there after being sold Cod under the guise of Haddock on three occasions. Not very clever. The fish and chip shop on Bridge Street does great Haddock.

It is so nice to enjoy a really good quality fish and chips. In addition they do quite a lot of other dishes and offer a range of curry sauces. Would recommend for a cosy night in.
