Just been in for lunch. Hearty portions, beautiful flavour, reasonably priced and gluten free chicken curry and pork. Cannot fault. Delighted.

Delicious food at a reasonable price - huge portions for takeaway, great service for eat-in, and lots of tasty options on offer. Comes highly recommended. Still going, still great! Strongly recommend the chickpea curry with steamed veg and pea rice, even if it's not the sort of thing you'd normally think of eating.

Had a delicious meal at Yannis’s with lots of nice sides and friendly, prompt and lovely service from Yanni and Monica. It’s great to have good authentic Caribbean food in Chippenham.

We came here for lunch whilst we were visiting Chippenham. The staff were very attentive and welcoming. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. Would recommend the fried chicken with rice and peas!

This place is amazing the people are amazing so friendly and welcoming a very clean tidy place but the food oh wow its awesome I had the boneless goat curry and it is by far the best I have ever had so much flavour in one bowl I didn't want it to end. Definitely recommend and definitely returning .

The restaurant has just started doing a brunch menu so we decided to check it out. We didn’t have to wait long before it arrived and how amazing it was! We left the restaurant fully satisfied and would definitely be back. Owner and staff exceptional friendly. Well worth the £36!

We travelled all the way from Kent and found this corner spot near the borough carpark. Yanni's is great if you want to taste authentic Jamaican food.

Food is actually very good but the portion sizes are slightly too small. Probably would do it again but might have to order a bit more food.

First class venue and awesome food

I can't tell you about the food, service or atmosphere as after a 40 minute drive, it was closed! Advertised as open online and their open hours in the window stated they were open but it was locked and empty. Disappointing! Hopefully we'll get to try the food one day. I would call before you go to make sure they're actually open.

The food I got was good. However... We pre-ordered the food the day before. The order was accepted. We arrived on time. at 6pm. I ordered curried goat with two sides. I got beef stew with one side, the other calaloo was not available which I was only told as the curry was delivered. No offer to replace it with anything else was made. Given I did not get the food until 8pm I was afraid to send it back and have to wait another two or more hours.

Dropped in on our way back from Wales down the M4 we had a lovely Goat curry, not far from the motorway, ample parking, lovely food and service, would recommend.

This restaurant offers something a bit different for anyone who is looking for (or needs) a gluten free meal. There is a wide range of gluten free caribbean food at lunch and at dinner. My wife (coeliac) chose the goat curry, which turned out to be a bit too spicy for her, so I swapped her with my jerk pork. Both were very tasty and the portions were generous. The staff were attentive and helpful. There are gluten free starters and also gluten free desserts - a range of gf options that puts most other restaurants to shame. It's in the town centre opposite the Little Waitrose and there is a big car park nearby. It offers a welcome change from usual gf stalwarts of baked potato, gf pasta, gf pizza, ham and chips.

Wow! Love love love this place! Gotta keep going back till I've tried the whole menu. I started with a boneless goat curry as my intro to Jamaican food. My hubby chose the brown stew chicken. Both were delicious!! We were greeted by Yanni who is charm personified, but then, all other staff were delightful too. We will be back

Amazing food and Yanni is the most kind and patient host. Visited with someone I care for, not eaten a full meal for a while as he dislikes English food. Yanni went above and beyond. I look for forward to tasting the food and meeting Yanni again.

I’ve recently moved to the Chippenham area from south London and one of the worries I had was sacrificing all the great intercontinental cuisine on offer in the metrop. in favour of the country life. Well I needn’t have worried! Some of my favourite spots in South London are Caribbean and none of them are better than Yanni’s. The jerk chicken is delightful, juicy and full of flavor, accompanied by a couple of really zingy sauces. However, it was the curry goat that won it for me. The meat was so tender, the sauce deep, rich and warming with just the right amount of heat. And our little girl could not get enough of the rice and peas! The staff were very friendly and accommodating and it’s in a great location on the Borough Parade: perfect for a couple of quick pints in town before heading to Yanni’s for a big Caribbean dinner. We only popped in for a quick lunch mid shop, but we will be back for a full slap up job soon.

Best Caribbean food I've ever had at a restaurant! The Chickpea curry was delicious and the portion size was generous. Staff were really friendly. There were a few items on the menu that weren't available, but what we did have was amazing.

Im a senior citizen who suffers from heart failure to protect my heart I have to take dietetics which means tablets to remove water from my body. Unfortunately this means that I get caught short. I was standing outside this restaurant when I had a situation so I popped in hoping to use a toilet in an emergency. There was no one there to ask and as I said it was an emergency. Having used the facilities for which I was very grateful I looked at the menu and decided to go to my car and suggest to my mother we should have lunch there. Suddenly an employee from yannis came aggressively to my vehicle and started on me explaining that their toilet wasn't a public convenience. I apologised and informed him that I suffer from heart failure and it was an emergency this fell on dead ears. At which point I decided to leave the car park and that we would find somewhere else to have lunch. So if you suffer from heart failure or have elderly family this maybe an establishment to avoid.we would not be visiting this place.

We’ve been back to Yannis a couple of times since first discovering this gem. The curry goat, steamed veg, coleslaw and fluffy rice ‘n peas were as tasty as before. The portions are still generous and everything is served with a smile.

The food was very nice and the host super friendly. It was a quiet part of the day, so I particularly enjoyed the lack of surrounding noise. The portion was of good sizing too. I had been looking forwards to eating at this restaurant for months.

Just delicious. As always we had a fabulous take away from yannis. The flavours just pop and make you won’t to have more. I had the Mac and cheese with chickpea curry and can’t recommend it enough. Best take out in Chippenham by far. X

If we could give you more than five stars we would. Our love for Caribbean food, is second to none and where we live in Leeds we have some of the finest Caribbean eateries around, but Yani's tops any we've been in and that's many. Just beautiful authentic Caribbean quinine cooked to perfection. The main man Yanni himself served us both. Such a genuine caring lovely man, as we're is staff. Thanks for one of the best eating experiences, in a long time.

We were a table of 17 people Sunday 28th May. We were made to feel so welcome, very personal service, even calling you by name when handing the food out. The food was phenomenal. Its clear to see that the food was homemade and fresh that day. The flavours were outstanding and all 17 of us left with massive smiles on our faces and we were still talking about it the next day. Well done guys you are running a great, honest family business and you are doing an incredible job. Thank you 😊 xx

Great Caribian takeaway and dine in, loved the salted fish to bits

Fantastic all round. A brilliant experience, I highly recommend. Yanni sat with us during ordering and made sure we were all happy with what we were ordering. This put our kids minds at ease that what they were ordering wasn't too hot. My Son ordered Jerk chicken and Yanni reassured him the sauce would be served separate so he could try it and apply it as he liked. My daughter had chickpea curry which was made children's portion and a strength to suit. They both really enjoyed it as did my partner and I. The kids loved the drinks selection which made our visit even more special. Yanni is an absolute legend and goes above and beyond. We're looking forward to our next visit.

Visited on a Saturday night just after the dinner time rush. Was still busy to start. The staff were all lovely especially the two ladies who saw us to the table and took our order. Starters were good, the BBQ wings (I was working up to the spice for main) were delicious, the frittas were okay but as they were cooked in advance and in a counter before we got them were let down by being stodgy and soft whereas sure they would have been superb fresh from the fryer. Our mains, Goat Curry, Rice and Peas and steamed veg were spot on. Full of flavour and a bit of spice, lovely soft melty meat and sweet coconut rice. It was super. Dessert was perfect after the little tingly heat of the curry, a lovely soft sweet banana loaf with some nice cooling vanilla ice cream. All at a good price too. The restaurant was lovely and clean, relaxed and so calm it felt like you were enjoying a dinner at a friends. We loved it and will come back soon to sample more of the menu!

Yanni’s Caribbean what can I say. You guys are amazing, your food and you hosting are the best I’ve ever had. We went to Yanni’s for my wife’s birthday and as soon as we walked in we felt like part of the family. All the staff were friendly and welcoming, they looked after us and fed us the best jerk chicken and goat curry we have ever had. The food was amazing even my fussy son ate everything on his plate: I would recommend this place to any and every one who want a warm , friendly family experience. Look forward to coming back. What a find! Quirky decor table and stools very different, but the food was awesome. My partner is from Jamaica and their curried goat is sublime. Best we have found in Wiltshire. A gem of a little restaurant, opposite Waitrose in Chippenham, Wiltshire. Go try it for your selves.

Had the BBQ chicken, goat curry and spice bread for my starter, main and desert. Both the starter and main were amazing would try again, my friend had the banana bread which was much more enjoyable for a desert.

Went during lunch time mid week as had heard positive reviews of Yanni's. It was very quiet with a lovely and colourful interior. Our waiter was accommodating and explained what items were not available right away to us (a bit of a shame but not much can be done about this). Had the BBQ wings for starter which were good, BBQ sauce was delicious and flavourful. Moving onto mains, I had jerk pork with rice & peas which was decent. I didn't personally love the pork but it was fine, once again, the sauce was flavourful. My company had the curried goat which was lovely, the meat was so tender and juicy and flavourful. We shared a mac & cheese which we both enjoyed thoroughly. To finish, I had banana bread which was absolutely scrumptious and both my company and I enjoyed. Overall, a good dining experience with very good options. A brilliant option if looking to try something new. Very flavourful food.

Food quality needs to be vastly improved and the menu should mention that small sharp pieces of bones may be present. I won’t be eating their food again.

Decent service, food and friendly staff. The limited menu is even more limited when half the dishes are not available. Few times we've been they have never had fry fish, salt fish nor tofu. Staff try their best to accommodate and swap where possible. Just after the third try it puts you off coming again. Cost is okay. Stools are strangely big and somewhat uncomfortable if a certain height.
