Amazing food, I’ll be back for that goat curry!

I’m impressed, the food was still hot even though they came from Chippenham to Corsham. Big portion of chicken, the goat curry was good too. Rice and veg was nice, chips not bad at all. This is the first time we’ve ordered and I think we’ll be ordering again in the future. It’s nice to have a new takeaway option!

I'd never ever considered Caribbean food before but on this particular day I was hungry and on my way back to the carpark I spotted Yannis. I walked in and was greeted with a smile and a warm welcome. I'm a major fuss pot and one thing I noticed immediately was how clean the place was...wow...it was gleaming. I asked if they did any vegan food and a lovely guy who I presume was the manager? Was more than happy to assist me in making some suggestions. I decided on sweet potatoe curry with rice and peas and veg. 15 mins later I was served the most amazingly tasty meal I can honestly say, I've ever had. I'll certainly be going back and I can't wait. An absolute gem!! Thank you to Yannis, amazing 👍

A gem of a place. The food is 10/10 Everytime, lovely staff and service, super close to parking so no excuse not to swing by if you're just travelling through on the A4. Curried goat, chicken wings, mac cheese and punch all banging

Went to this place about 4 times now. Their jerk pork is amazing! I had it with rice and beans, plantains, Mac and cheese and steamed veggies. My friends and I also tried their Guinness punch.. the rum inside of it definitely had a punch indeed 😂. They ordered the stew beef, oxtail and curried goat. Everyone had good things to say about the food. The customer service was amazing. The Rasta lady (I’m sorry I didn’t get her name) there is so polite and sweet. The Rasta guy is very cool and interactive with his customers. It was a really good feeling to find a Caribbean spot up here, as they’re a bit difficult to find in certain areas. We’ll definitely be back to support this business. 👍🏽

Had the lunchtime deal, jerk pork and curried goat. Both were exceptional. It's the sort of place where you are already planning what you will have next time after taking a few bites of your first meal. Service was also friendly and genuine.

I had the curry goat, rice & peas, jerk pork and coleslaw. The food was fantastic, the curry goat was delicious with a good heat to it, the rice and peas was a great accompaniment. The jerk pork was also great, great taste, texture with a tasty sauce. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Great food reasonably priced, strongly recommended!

I was really looking forward to the food here as have eaten at several Caribbean restaurants in the uk and holidays in the Caribbean. Sadly, my wife and I were very disappointed. It’s a longer drive but it’s back over to Bristol for me in future

Been past this place many times but I'm a bit of a wimp when it comes to spicy but my son loves spice and I must say it was the best, I had the no heat beef stew which was a bit spicy but absolutely delicious and the service is outstanding will be back soon going to try the oxtail next time

Great authentic Jamaican food, delicious. I had the curry goat, rice and peas, and wings and dumplings. All flavoursome, tender and yummy, washed down with Guinness punch

we visited because we wanted to try something different, which we did and because the owner offered us a complimentary desert each and the menu advertised 5% off the bill if you made a table booking!! Was this a scam to get us to eat there? as we didn't get either!! the starter was nearly all batter and the goat curry meat was really dry. I won't mention the seating, let's say take a cushion with you.

This is a two year later review… 2 years ago I would have given the full 5stars. Previous visits have been outstanding… not a bad review here either….. I absolutely love the food here, it’s best to go early as quite often they can sell out as there popular…. I was a little disappointed this time as unfortunately my goat curry was cold, I complained, and within a few minutes 5/10 minutes the problem was solved with lots of apologies and some complementary foods … The service is outstanding, everyone is super polite and super friendly with smiles all round, as for atmosphere… I believe it’s the situation and the people your with that all contribute towards but yanni’s has simply got a great vibe about it… all in all I would give yanni’s a 9/10. And will return again in the future….. many thanks to yanni and his team.

Love Yanni's! The food is always delicious. I've tried lots of dishes from the menu and never been disappointed. The service is fast and efficient and the atmosphere in the restaurant friendly and welcoming.

With a group of special friends we had a selection of Caribbean dishes. More than enough to eat, staff really friendly and it was a friendly and inclusive atmosphere. Downside was seating. Many found it hard and after an hour or so quite uncomfortable. But apart from this food was very tasty but. A tad spicy for my pallet.

Really disappointed sadly. Mac and cheese was like rubber, not fresh! The cheese on top was a Dark brown layer of hard old cheese on top. Chicken wings had literally one tiny bit of chicken on, the smallest chicken wings I’ve ever seen! After good reviews I was hoping for better to be honest. Nice taste though but sadly just wasn’t fresh

The 3 of us entered at 7:54 orders taken around 8:07. At 9:28pm the waiter returned to let us know that one of our orders can’t be done because they don’t have any chicken left. It’s been 1hr30mins and this is now being communicated. I asked have they started our meal and he then tells us, “no and I think we have a takeaway up next”. Are you serious?! It’s been 1hr30 and we aren’t even next but a takeaway dish? Why seat us at that point? 3 people were sat down during us waiting I can only imagine how long they will wait. It felt like deliveries were prioritised over people actually sat down at the restaurant. I regret paying for the drinks should have just left.

Went last minute and the service was exceptional from the mother!! She was splendid caring for us as we travelled from London to Chippenham recommending us some house favourites which were absolutely delicious. Hats off to her daughter who cooked our meals. I rated the atmosphere 4/5 only because we were the only ones there and it seemed quite but that's probs because we went last minute. But overall everything including service and food was amazing. Thank you so much!!

Best Jamaican food I have had, I do alot of work in America and have tried the best rated Jamaican restaurants in Brooklyn, queens and the new york but this has to be by far the best

Try this instead of a Chinese or Indian!!!! It's so much better!!!!! Yanni, his Mum and staff are all lovely people and excellent hosts. They have now cracked it with the food, in our opinion is much better now than it was when they first opened. Great reggae vibes inside very very pleased this place is in Chippenham.

Had lunch with friends and our 3 babies, would definitely visit again. I had the jerk pork with rice and peas was really lovely and reasonable priced. The guy who served us was so accommodating and helped us with the prams and went above and beyond in service. Would definitely recommend to any friends and family. Finally somewhere a bit different for lunch in chippenham!!!

the driver assigned went and delivered a second order while I was still waiting for mine and even though he smiled and handed it over I still can't think what you would want to do that while the second person's food gets cold

I'll keep this one short. Superb food! I think I quite literally ate everything we'd ordered including jerk chicken, goat curry, oxtail curry, ackee and saltfish, fried chicken, chips, rice and peas... They were all delightful. We washed it down with Red Stripe, punch and wine. The service was lovely; music was a touch loud for our taste but it made a great atmosphere. Thank you Yanni and team!

Had the BEST meal. The food is fresh, tasty, flavoursome and the portions are generous without being overwhelming. You can taste that this food is prepared with passion and care. The staff were welcoming, friendly and very helpful. Cannot recommend this place enough

I recently got a takeaway from Yiannis (the last time was a few months ago) and wow what a change! The curry goat and rice & pea's were served in separate plastic containers not the polystyrene tub's previously used wrapped in clingfilm plus the curry was offered on or off the bone - nice touch! The lovely lady who served gave me incredible customer service and even brought my food outside to me as I was on the phone. Great job Yanni and team - keep it up! Can I request that you serve / sell rotis? I know they're from Trinidad and not Jamaica but you need something to mop up all that delicious curry. Please also make more patties?! I highly recommend Yannis to anyone looking for authentic carribean cuisine or a change from the local indian or chinese - you wont be disappointed!!!!

The food was just to die for so nice. However the service was slow we were booked for 1900 and we didn't get the starters until 2020 and was about another 45 minutes for the mains to come out after we finished the starter. The staff are so friendly and welcoming and are really lovely people. The benches you sit on are not very comfortable. I recommend taking a cushion with you to sit on. I do recommend coming here for the food as I will be going again.

Fantastic food but the worst tables and benches ever made, there’s a reason 99% of all chairs and tables are the shame heights, yet these home-made nightmares have been designed by either a giant or someone who has never sat at a table before - they really were that bad, sharp too for that extra blood-stopping/pins-and-needles effect. Genuinely wonderful food however, you’ll want to eat it quickly so you can stand up. Edit - a few days later and both my wife and I have developed bruises on the underside of our lefts from sitting on these awful “chairs” too!

We have been meaning to try Yannis for a while and he did not disappoint. The most amazing meal! All freshly cooked hot and absolutely delicious. Authentic flavoursome and fantastic! All washed down with a fabulous rum punch! Yannie served the food personally with the most welcoming and genuine approach checking in that we enjoyed the food making the whole evening even more special. All the staff were warm and welcoming. Cannot recommend this place highly enough. Absolutely fantastic! Thank you Yanni and team we will definitely be back.

AWESOME !!!! Took my family in for lunch as a last minute decision. So glad I did. Yanni and all the team were so welcoming and friendly. First time we've been in Yannis and I can honestly say all the food was amazing!!! I had the boneless chicken curry, whilst my wife and daughter had the stew. The homemade coleslaw is a must and works so well with the spices. We WILL be back to try the Lobster as soon as we can.

Would describe as casual dining, not frilly, but great nonetheless! Will definately be back!! Would have given a 5 but they didn't have any Rum of any kind, but that's probably me being picky ( love Rum)

Delicious food at a reasonable price - huge portions for takeaway, great service for eat-in, and lots of tasty options on offer. Comes highly recommended. Still going, still great! Strongly recommend the chickpea curry with steamed veg and pea rice, even if it's not the sort of thing you'd normally think of eating.

This place is amazing the people are amazing so friendly and welcoming a very clean tidy place but the food oh wow its awesome I had the boneless goat curry and it is by far the best I have ever had so much flavour in one bowl I didn't want it to end. The restaurant has just started doing a brunch menu so we decided to check it out. We didn’t have to wait long before it arrived and how amazing it was! We left the restaurant fully satisfied and would definitely be back. Owner and staff exceptional friendly. Well worth the £36!

food was not ready until 45 mins after recommended collection time. people who arrived to the restaurant after me had their orders taken, food arrived, they ate and left in the time i was waiting for my order. Felt like i was being purposefully ignored by the staff for no reason.

First class venue and awesome food

I can't tell you about the food, service or atmosphere as after a 40 minute drive, it was closed! Advertised as open online and their open hours in the window stated they were open but it was locked and empty. Disappointing! Hopefully we'll get to try the food one day. I would call before you go to make sure they're actually open.

The food I got was good. However... We pre-ordered the food the day before. The order was accepted. We arrived on time. at 6pm. I ordered curried goat with two sides. I got beef stew with one side, the other calaloo was not available which I was only told as the curry was delivered. No offer to replace it with anything else was made. Given I did not get the food until 8pm I was afraid to send it back and have to wait another two or more hours.

Dropped in on our way back from Wales down the M4 we had a lovely Goat curry, not far from the motorway, ample parking, lovely food and service, would recommend.

This restaurant offers something a bit different for anyone who is looking for (or needs) a gluten free meal. There is a wide range of gluten free caribbean food at lunch and at dinner. My wife (coeliac) chose the goat curry, which turned out to be a bit too spicy for her, so I swapped her with my jerk pork. Both were very tasty and the portions were generous. The staff were attentive and helpful. There are gluten free starters and also gluten free desserts - a range of gf options that puts most other restaurants to shame. It's in the town centre opposite the Little Waitrose and there is a big car park nearby. It offers a welcome change from usual gf stalwarts of baked potato, gf pasta, gf pizza, ham and chips.

Wow! Love love love this place! Gotta keep going back till I've tried the whole menu. I started with a boneless goat curry as my intro to Jamaican food. My hubby chose the brown stew chicken. Both were delicious!! We were greeted by Yanni who is charm personified, but then, all other staff were delightful too. We will be back

Amazing food and Yanni is the most kind and patient host. Visited with someone I care for, not eaten a full meal for a while as he dislikes English food. Yanni went above and beyond. I look for forward to tasting the food and meeting Yanni again.
