Absolutely awesome building and newly refurbished. There's also a garden area 👌 Best prices and best beers by far! Why go to another pub and say 3 X more for your pint? We love spoons, keep it up!

The place is nice the food we had was awful I ordered a American double cheeseburger which was burnt to a inch of it's life and no cheese and about 10 chips will not be rushing back any time soon. P.S the beer is good and you can't fault the price

Typical Wetherspoons. Good value for money. Staff were better than normal. Seemed a bit dark. Lacking atmosphere.

Generally reasonable food but does vary from day to day. Good prices, not all staff are the most cheerful. Decor needs attention. But certainly not unpleasant.Now has been refurbished made great difference. Staff now cheerful, duty manager does brilliant job, well done.

Sorry, I did not like the place. Dark and drab inside. Spoilt by many of the customers. Well, it is Trowbridge, so what can you expect. Melksham pub is better.

Good cheap drinks with large variety and good food. Have some lovely helpful friendly staff. Also well done on the staff. A female asked for soft drink as didnt want alcohol. When she was at the table the male with her asked bar staff for vodka in her drink. Bar staff refused as they had heard her request soft drink only. Was proud that the staff cared enough. Thought that was very good of them **whole pub had refurbishment and busier than ever. Good cheap food. Great choice drinks qt good prices. Amazing staff.

Looks to be a brand new 'Spoons' and very nice it is to. Have one query for all to see. I can save 50p+ by ordering a wrap and beer separately. £3.08 for the wrap, £1.99 for a choice of three beers (1.79 of it's a Ruddles, out of it at the time). ???

Our first visit since the re vamp...really nice inside now with a bigger garden space..like the new bar..food cheap and cheerful and hot..a big menu choice.

Good old spoons, I know what to expect when I go for value for money coffee and breakfast muffin. I was walking and camping so with the free refills topped up my flask and there's normally a charging socket for devices, phones etc. Really liked the art installation of a woman dancer made from ropes. Staff told me this spoons was refurbished in June 2024.

Plenty of space even though very popular.Service was excellent and lovely friendly staff.Clean . Excellent toilets.Spent under 10 pounds for a meal and a large glass of wine.

They've made a good on the refurb, only problem is the beer garden which is where all the smokers are concentrated so it stinks

Best place to visit in town Center for food and sit together with friends and family members!! Make sure you visit this place before 9pm if you are going with kids. Walking distance from bus and train station!! Nearest parking place is St Stephen's Place Car Park.

We had lunch, it's a very nice pub. The new layout is much improved. It was very busy so our food took a little while. Everyone enjoyed the food, so there no complaints really.

Was going to come in to check out the new revamp and was refused entry on the doors by Amy very rude and asked us for ID we are all in our mid 30s she then told me I was to drunk and not allowed in as I was to intoxicated .. was definitely not …. Me and my freinds won’t be returning shame as re vamp looked good from the outside

Great renovation to The Albany Palace particularly love the new outdoor area and glass patio frontage. Bubbly atmosphere so pleased to see such a wide range of people there. Excellent standard pub food at an unbeatable price.

It is lovely place to go for food and drinks me and my partner pop in yesterday night for a alcoholic drink we know some of the old staff that is there as we went in before it got refurbish as we love it in there the food and all the staff are friendly that is mine and my partner favourite pub and it is are local

When to Wetherspoons in Trowbridge for the first time, it was packed full with people, ordered the food,waited 35 minutes for the food, then the food was wrong, I asked for a 10z gammon stake and got 3 slices of thin ham , when I went to the bar to complain, it would be a 55 minutes wait again for food, I said no I’m not waiting, they gave me a refund of £4.68 when I payed £11.50 didn’t get a full refund, the beer didn’t taste nice, I won’t be going back there again, it was rubbish in there ,

Made a beautiful job of refurbishment. Outdoor area seems particularly well designed. Stairs to the loos repositioned are less steep and safer, plus, loos are as usual have had money spent on them.. Appreciated some new relaxing chairs. Staff were in abundance, but ofcourse it was their official opening day.

Best weatherspoons I've been in so far, the referbishment it has had has definitely improved this place 10 fold, it's has been long over due, hopefully people will continue to visit this place as the atmosphere here is awesome and busy, the reopening has been amazing and is much needed should of done this at least 10 years. Well done to all involved and all the best for the future.

Drove 20mins to have breakfast, spent 10mins trying to find a park and another 10 mins walking back to the venue only to find its clearly closed for a big refurbishment and nobody bothered to update the Google maps.

Food was terrible Raw meat, over cooked peas, rice, cold coffee

A regular weatherspoons menu, but nicer than some i have eaten at. Staff were great and not doing the whole over attentive thing some places do.

Given a 2 for atmosphere but it was a Sunday breakfast time around half nine so it was quiet

First time visiting Albany Palace,great menu for everyone in the family. The tables were clean,staff were friendly. Meals came after a short wait. Recommend a visit

Usual Wetherspoons, food was good and service excellent. We used the app to order but early evening would be quicker to go to the bar.

Enjoyed a quick drink on my way back to hotel & breakfast the next morning. The staff I met on both occasions were all very friendly, and a great building 🤗

Was ignored at the bar for so long that I was worried I had become invisible, eventually served by a young man who looked totally fed up and tried to break the Guiness world record for the least words used in a transaction, food was ok but at least better than the service

Always my goto place when visiting Trowvegas, cheap food and drinks although the chips are barely cooked and some of the food like sausages smell like disinfectant. The staff are always polite and friendly with no dirty finger nails (unlike the locals) so that's good too. Looking forward to next week's visit to Trowbridge and hope the place is still open unlike the rest of the town.

Cold, overcooked eggs, undercooked bacon. Extremely rude staff and even ruder manager who thinks it's OK to just ask people to leave when they have a legitimate complaint. Dirty toilets. Go somewhere else. Don't bother with this hit or miss service.

It's a Wetherspoons. Had the Christmas panini which was really nice....chicken, bacon, stuffing and cranberries. Couldn't go wrong.

Came in tonight with a group of work colleagues and was met by very friendly staff , amber and luke were excellent service was impeccable and the drinks were great! we are visiting from out of town and would definitely come back as as long as we could see them both again

Absolutely love going to spoons,- only to see Amy though. Best service ever, and she’s brilliant, very accommodating and friendly! Always got a smile on her face, she’s a true credit to your company! A full 10/10,- and the pub is alright too 😉

Good value, best prices locally for beers. A good venue for meeting colleagues, friends etc I've only used it at lunch time and early afternoon.

I come here quite a lot as the only place that does food I like for a good price and hardly anywhere else in town. Sometimes the food is good but sometimes it's bad so it's really hit and miss. Edit to do with how it is lately: I'm sorry but the service is terrible and has gone very down hill. Most of staff are very rude. Today most of our plates were cold as well as the food so someone in my party asked to have it warmer then have them bringing it back the same so we asked again and then they bought it back slammed it down on the table and rudely say "that food is now hot". Which tbh honestly wasn't that hot and was just rude. You would expect them to be apologetic but obviously their hospitality isn't too good. You would also expect the food to be hot as well as the plates or at least the plates being warm it's just common sense in a pub when wanting cooked hot food.

Usual Luke warm breakfast burnt toast Even with 2 people in kitchen can’t seem to get it right . Think just not bothered. My advice go to melksham it’s hot and much better

Nice and cheap to eat and drink

Perfect rare steak. The steak is brown on the outside, but still remain very soft on the inside. Better than some expensive steak house. Staff are really nice even they are very busy.

This is only the place to be in for entertainment. This place could be upgraded and served better food as the service could be better. The chefs could have more experience in food standards. The could be expanded in another place to be open at night. I didn't order food.

Dried out stale bread served, they took it back to bring out some fresh bread. Never got the bread. Couldn't be bothered to complain more just left.

Good local 'Spoons, we even travel from Bath to visit the place. Staff are pleasant and hard working. Good Manager deals on food and drinks. Good location to the park, car parking and the town. What's not to like ?

Hot food, good service, worth a visit

Only popped in for drinks with the family after shopping.

Not good, accused again of things that never happened, no proof just happy to bar everybody! Would be worried but I am sure the children running this shambles will all be gone soon. Still very dirty!

Food was good as was service unfortunately though we sat outside to eat and could not enjoy the food so much as there was a group of people arguing so much I felt uncomfortable thinking any minute someone would end up across our table.

The food and drink is cheap. Its usually quite busy and can be quite loud. The food is not bad for the price. It could be better.

Just as you would expect from a 'spoons' if you want gourmet it's not your place, if want quick and cheap then look no further.

Always a great place to eat and drink and you don't need to book seats. The food is consistently good and the prices low.

Staff under pressure, homophobic and aggressive. Only wanted one drink on way home, but will never venture in this establishment again. Utterly disgusted.

Always a good time, and although food is only decent- for the cheap prices you can't go wrong. Also can say the same about the alcohol options!

Middle of the road pub, tend to avoid when I can, food is what you expect for the price, beverages are cheap enough to stay for a few, but the atmosphere is bland and tasteless like most the microwave food, you'll probably witness a fight and with the no music that's allowed to be played here, great entertainment!

Haven't been for a while last minute thing, had ham egg chips and salad well ham is just cheap shop ham very limited chips very small even though got large. Was really much to it salad didn't eat 😕 ham was warm under the eggs chips was good only thing

Fairly standard Spoons, service very quick (through the app) but a small range of real ales, nothing special there.

If your after a quick pint this is an OK place for just that. Nothing too fancy and more affordable than some other places.

I gave 5 stars simply for the value for money. 5 people had lunch with drinks for less than £50. Ok, you're not going to get fine dining and shouldn't expect to. It's pub grub and we all enjoyed it. The menu has a lot of choices. The service was fast and the staff were friendly.

Food was good and service was good. Atmosphere is good for Trowbridge so pleased overall.

This time it was such a shame, there was a lot of shady behaviour going on between a few tables in there.. Sadly we will not be visiting again in the near future. This is the first time I have not felt safe in this pub. We quickly ate our food and left.

Good food, rice portion size could have been more to compliment the amount of sauce for the curry, but for the price it tasted great. Will eat here again

Lots of atmosphere, quick service and the jacket potato dish is excellent, plus a good salad helping. I like the special offers at the moment but wish the coffee was hotter

Amazing staff excellent service

Staff are very polite and helpful. Tables promptly cleared and clean. Floor was clean as well. This place has greatly improved. Reasonable drinks too.

No straws for the kids, hot drink machines were all at other end of pub and only one of the two machines was offering more than just hot water. Food as always was great value and staff were helpful.

I love going there for their breakfast, its always been a huge slap up affair for a very reasonable price. At the moment they have a medium breakfast of 1 sausage 1 bacon 1 egg toast ans two hash browns with baked beans and bottomless coffee for £3.99.cant beat it
