If you have extremely low expectations and standards this may well be the place for you. The food is cooked in the finest microwaves and dripping in last weeks oil which tastes like it has been filtered through a sock. The atmosphere is interesting, never have we seen so many previous guests from the Jeremy Kyle Show in one room, what a treat! Ended up leaving due to the locals finding out we have the correct amount of teeth and chromosomes.

Came into spoons while my dog was being groomed, had a lovely jacket potato with a pepsi. I saw it was quite busy but I quickly found a table that had an even bigger bonus, a plug socket right next to me. Staff are very friendly and kind to their customers. It was a nice time just chilling by myself before my dog pulls me home!

Post Refurb for the Trowbridge spoons it's gotten much better, a good pub experience, speedy service and reliable quality of food whenever you go in, worth a trip for sure!

What you expect from Wetherspoons. Reasonably priced food and drinks. Hot drinks are 99p per mug and unlimited free refills, making it a good place to meet up with family and friends for a natter.

Though i am not a fan of the JD Wetherspoons franchise, I must admit that the newly renovated Albany Palace has provided some much needed invigoration to the local community. The staff are always very friendly and helpful - I have a particular fondness of Ti, who persistently goes above and beyond. The space is welcoming and friendly - and also extremely wheelchair accessible. I believe this factor is vital for a business which seeks to serve the local community. Whilst I cannot give it Five stars (generally due to the historic political persuasions of Sir Tim Martin), I must say that this pub is extremely adequate.

It's whether spoons. It's sells cheap beer.

Very wheelchair friendly with a ramp right by the entrance, and the disabled toilet right by the front. - multiple members of staff will have the keys on them to open for customers. Managers are always working to ensure the pub service is flowing smoothly. Food is always higher quality than what you pay for, quick to re-cook any meals that you are unhappy with. Bar Staff are quick, efficient and friendly. Always warm and welcome with a smile. Any member of staff will reply to any querie and complaint that customers will have in an instant. The best place to go for a meal & Drink in Trowbridge, and quite possibly Wiltshire.

Lovely pub, I visited it at Christmas and it looked great. Drinks not too dear either

Phoned up to say the app told me the wrong place and can my order be cancelled and all I got was a young lads voice saying to bad so very unhelpful and rude

Staff aren't smiley or interactive, very dull and often come across as snobby. Often running out of the small stuff. Food is good for the price. Smoking outside is no longer allowed...douche move! Nowhere to put cigarette butts out the front. Being right next to a beautiful park I feel cigarette butts everywhere is not a welcome sight. A below average Spoons I'd say (a management issue).

A lovely wetherspoon pub that has been extended. Can get very busy but always manage to find a table. Good food and fast service. Unbeatable for lunch and a drink 🍷🍻

The food, service and atmosphere is as you would expect from any other spoons but the decor was next level, from the newly painted walls to the luxurious carpet, it was very inviting and pleasant. The best spoons I've been in.

The refurb is lovely. They got our food order totally wrong and then got unpleasant when i tried to raise it. My fault apparently cause i couldnt find anyone to complain to within their time limit. Funny.

Had meal quite late in evening. Food not the best but ok for price. Drinks are a very good price.

Apparently they have stopped pasta, tomato and mozzarella cheese on the children's menu, but menus not updated, only the App and there tills.

Took my family for a birthday meal the atmosphere and service was top notch my brother doesn't normally like the steak Cooked the way he has had it before as he is fussy but told me the steak was cooked perfectly here definitely recommended others have get togethers here.

I always hit a 'Spoons' when working away as they tend to be pretty consistent, it is what it is and doesn't try to punch above it's weight. I found a window seat so I could people watch, and the table was clean and not at all sticky like so many others! Beer festival offers were great. £1.79 for a pint of 6.9% ale! Fantastic and great quality. The katsu curry (with a drink) was tasty, hot and a decent portion, but the onion bhaji's (tiny) and veg samosa were not so great so probably best avoided. Tonight I'll try something else off the menu as its always good value. I might well end up in here every night of the six nights I'm in Trowbridge, especially as most other pubs and restaurants don't all get decent reviews.

Go elsewhere to eat !!! Usual standard cold plate. Food Luke warm seems can’t even get the basics right . Shame really but if you don’t get the right people who care a bit

Just a great place to have a few drinks and some food without breaking the bank! You can't knock spoons for a great choice. It's had a fantastic face lift with a beer garden, this place doesn't deserve the knocks it gets,we've never had a bad experience here over the last 10 years we've been in Trow, the town would be alot worse off without this place! If you want gourmet, don't go to spoons :)

First time visit after the refit. Now a much more sensible layout with many more tables and nice Beer Garden. Food service quick and great value as always

we got told after and hour of being in the beer garden that we couldn’t vape politely we all had stopped after she said the lady came out 2 minutes later with our drinks and kicked us out because she accused us off using the beer garden to vape after we had been told.

First time back after the refurb. Large open space, plenty of tables. Staff were friendly, and food and drinks served quickly. Great value for money.

Popped in for a drink to fill time waiting for a bus . Doom Bar at £2.10 a pint is a bargain!!

Just had a multi million pound makeover which is very nice, as are most Wetherspoon's. Food good as always and good range of beers at £1.99, try and beat that! My only moan is that you can't take your dog in there, which is a shame but predictable with how our country is going!

I went on a Sunday. Quite busy but got a table outside. My friend had a baked potato with salad . Very good presentation . Well cooked. I just had a drink larger,has already eaten

Too dark for day time in old side. New side ok. The carpet is horrible. Who ever put that design in. Get it out and just have boards. Brighter lighting. Just had coffees today. Able to talk without shouting which is good.

Great pub and fast food service. I highly recommend it if you would like to grab a quick bit to eat and a few beers. Ideal local as straight off a car park and a few minutes walk from the town centre and there is a beer garden which is a fair good size would accommodate 40 people plus.

There was no good atmosphere at all, and both myself and a colleague agreed on that. Many of the customers looked pretty down and out, though they could apparently afford alcohol. If you know nothing better than Trowbridge, then that's fine, but for us, it was a place I would never go near again. The issue has probably more to with Trowbridge Town than the establishment. Weatherspoons' concept is great with excellent value, but many staff in Trowbridge and Melksham really have little customer service ability. Also, young kids and babies can be very irritating at times. I don't like having a meal in what often resembles a children's creche.

Newly refurbished for a few million pounds. Looks okay. Had a sausage bap, a bit dry. Endless amount of coffee. Probably won't go in there again.

The place is nice the food we had was awful I ordered a American double cheeseburger which was burnt to a inch of it's life and no cheese and about 10 chips will not be rushing back any time soon. P.S the beer is good and you can't fault the price

Typical Wetherspoons. Good value for money. Staff were better than normal. Seemed a bit dark. Lacking atmosphere.

Generally reasonable food but does vary from day to day. Good prices, not all staff are the most cheerful. Decor needs attention. But certainly not unpleasant.Now has been refurbished made great difference. Staff now cheerful, duty manager does brilliant job, well done.

Sorry, I did not like the place. Dark and drab inside. Spoilt by many of the customers. Well, it is Trowbridge, so what can you expect. Melksham pub is better.

Good cheap drinks with large variety and good food. Have some lovely helpful friendly staff. Also well done on the staff. A female asked for soft drink as didnt want alcohol. When she was at the table the male with her asked bar staff for vodka in her drink. Bar staff refused as they had heard her request soft drink only. Was proud that the staff cared enough. Thought that was very good of them **whole pub had refurbishment and busier than ever. Good cheap food. Great choice drinks qt good prices. Amazing staff.

Looks to be a brand new 'Spoons' and very nice it is to. Have one query for all to see. I can save 50p+ by ordering a wrap and beer separately. £3.08 for the wrap, £1.99 for a choice of three beers (1.79 of it's a Ruddles, out of it at the time). ???

Our first visit since the re vamp...really nice inside now with a bigger garden space..like the new bar..food cheap and cheerful and hot..a big menu choice.

Good old spoons, I know what to expect when I go for value for money coffee and breakfast muffin. I was walking and camping so with the free refills topped up my flask and there's normally a charging socket for devices, phones etc. Really liked the art installation of a woman dancer made from ropes. Staff told me this spoons was refurbished in June 2024.

Best place to visit in town Center for food and sit together with friends and family members!! Make sure you visit this place before 9pm if you are going with kids. Walking distance from bus and train station!! Nearest parking place is St Stephen's Place Car Park.

Very nice clean pub with good clientele

We were excited to visit as it has recently re-opened after being refurbished. The bar has been moved and there is some extra seating and a new outside area. The food came out fairly quickly, we ordered two veggie breakfasts but everything was completely cold. We complained and originally the waitress said that there was nothing she could do about it, after a bit of prompting she told her manager about it and someone came to our table and offered to make us fresh ones. When these eventually came, they were hardly warmer than the first, probably took even longer to come out, and there were many things wrong with it such as the egg yolk being completely solid and the toast being more like just bread. Also, before we left my half full bottle of elderflower cordial was taken away without asking me - not that I would have wanted it anyway because it left an unusual bitter aftertaste. An unpleasant and wholly disappointing experience.

We had lunch, it's a very nice pub. The new layout is much improved. It was very busy so our food took a little while. Everyone enjoyed the food, so there no complaints really.

Wetherspoons. Always a favourite place when travelling. Full brekkie and a coffee for £7.95. Great food at a great price.

Was going to come in to check out the new revamp and was refused entry on the doors by Amy very rude and asked us for ID we are all in our mid 30s she then told me I was to drunk and not allowed in as I was to intoxicated .. was definitely not …. Me and my freinds won’t be returning shame as re vamp looked good from the outside

Great renovation to The Albany Palace particularly love the new outdoor area and glass patio frontage. Bubbly atmosphere so pleased to see such a wide range of people there. Excellent standard pub food at an unbeatable price.

It is lovely place to go for food and drinks me and my partner pop in yesterday night for a alcoholic drink we know some of the old staff that is there as we went in before it got refurbish as we love it in there the food and all the staff are friendly that is mine and my partner favourite pub and it is are local

When to Wetherspoons in Trowbridge for the first time, it was packed full with people, ordered the food,waited 35 minutes for the food, then the food was wrong, I asked for a 10z gammon stake and got 3 slices of thin ham , when I went to the bar to complain, it would be a 55 minutes wait again for food, I said no I’m not waiting, they gave me a refund of £4.68 when I payed £11.50 didn’t get a full refund, the beer didn’t taste nice, I won’t be going back there again, it was rubbish in there ,

Made a beautiful job of refurbishment. Outdoor area seems particularly well designed. Stairs to the loos repositioned are less steep and safer, plus, loos are as usual have had money spent on them.. Appreciated some new relaxing chairs. Staff were in abundance, but ofcourse it was their official opening day.

Best weatherspoons I've been in so far, the referbishment it has had has definitely improved this place 10 fold, it's has been long over due, hopefully people will continue to visit this place as the atmosphere here is awesome and busy, the reopening has been amazing and is much needed should of done this at least 10 years. Well done to all involved and all the best for the future.

Drove 20mins to have breakfast, spent 10mins trying to find a park and another 10 mins walking back to the venue only to find its clearly closed for a big refurbishment and nobody bothered to update the Google maps.

A regular weatherspoons menu, but nicer than some i have eaten at. Staff were great and not doing the whole over attentive thing some places do.

Usual Wetherspoons, food was good and service excellent. We used the app to order but early evening would be quicker to go to the bar.

Enjoyed a quick drink on my way back to hotel & breakfast the next morning. The staff I met on both occasions were all very friendly, and a great building 🤗

Was ignored at the bar for so long that I was worried I had become invisible, eventually served by a young man who looked totally fed up and tried to break the Guiness world record for the least words used in a transaction, food was ok but at least better than the service

Always my goto place when visiting Trowvegas, cheap food and drinks although the chips are barely cooked and some of the food like sausages smell like disinfectant. The staff are always polite and friendly with no dirty finger nails (unlike the locals) so that's good too. Looking forward to next week's visit to Trowbridge and hope the place is still open unlike the rest of the town.

Cold, overcooked eggs, undercooked bacon. Extremely rude staff and even ruder manager who thinks it's OK to just ask people to leave when they have a legitimate complaint. Dirty toilets. Go somewhere else. Don't bother with this hit or miss service.

It's a Wetherspoons. Had the Christmas panini which was really nice....chicken, bacon, stuffing and cranberries. Couldn't go wrong.

Came in tonight with a group of work colleagues and was met by very friendly staff , amber and luke were excellent service was impeccable and the drinks were great! we are visiting from out of town and would definitely come back as as long as we could see them both again

Absolutely love going to spoons,- only to see Amy though. Best service ever, and she’s brilliant, very accommodating and friendly! Always got a smile on her face, she’s a true credit to your company! A full 10/10,- and the pub is alright too 😉

Good value, best prices locally for beers. A good venue for meeting colleagues, friends etc I've only used it at lunch time and early afternoon.

I come here quite a lot as the only place that does food I like for a good price and hardly anywhere else in town. Sometimes the food is good but sometimes it's bad so it's really hit and miss. Edit to do with how it is lately: I'm sorry but the service is terrible and has gone very down hill. Most of staff are very rude. Today most of our plates were cold as well as the food so someone in my party asked to have it warmer then have them bringing it back the same so we asked again and then they bought it back slammed it down on the table and rudely say "that food is now hot". Which tbh honestly wasn't that hot and was just rude. You would expect them to be apologetic but obviously their hospitality isn't too good. You would also expect the food to be hot as well as the plates or at least the plates being warm it's just common sense in a pub when wanting cooked hot food.

Usual Luke warm breakfast burnt toast Even with 2 people in kitchen can’t seem to get it right . Think just not bothered. My advice go to melksham it’s hot and much better
