Amazing place. Visited on a Saturday morning at 10:30. No queue then. Amazing tea and pide for breakfast. We had a slight water incident - our fault - and the pide was graciously replaced. Amazing staff, food and service. Will visit again for sure. Thank you again for your kindness.

A Turkish restaurant behind Oxford Street. Its location is excellent, its seating is arranged, its service is very wonderful, and the dishes are diverse. I tried it for breakfast, and it is worth trying for lunch, and its price is reasonable.

Watch out for racist staff! had an extremely disappointing experience at this restaurant. While waiting for a table, the waiter approached and asked how many people were in my party. I responded, but when I requested an outdoor table, he immediately ignored me mid-conversation and turned his attention to a group behind us a group that spoke Turkish like him. Despite my clear request for an outdoor seating, he completely disregarded it, engaged with the other group instead, and then proceeded to give them the table that was offered to us. When we confronted him about this unfair behavior, he responded dismissively in Turkish and continued to ignore us. This incident left me feeling deeply disrespected and discriminated against. It was obvious that the waiter prioritized serving his own nationality over others, which is completely unacceptable in any professional setting, especially in hospitality where fairness and respect are fundamental.

My go to place whenever I have some guests visiting me in London who are down for Turkish food. Their lamb shoulder is simply the best as their coban salad and the lentil soup!!! Although you have to queue for up to an hour (if you are lucky). The overall experience is totally worth it! I wish they could bring hot water for free though(: this was a point raised by my pregnant friend who had more than 5 glasses of hot water.

We waited for over 45 minutes to be told that our order was lost. Service was extremely poor , we had to be constantly calling for attention.

I found the pita flavor I was looking for in England here. Those who love pita & lahmacun should definitely stop by. I looked at the comments and the critics were all Turks, I wasn't surprised.

Exaggerated prices for a menu that is a mix of a tradesman's restaurant and a kebab shop where you can't eat comfortably, in addition to this, there is a bellboy-style employee whose job is to flatter the visitors, especially the Arab customers, in Sultanahmet, who shakes up tourists. In the already narrow seating area, while you are trying to eat your late meal, you are also listening to this guy's empty flattery chatter right next to you. They position the people waiting in line in front of the garden section of the venue and seat them as late as possible; probably to draw attention to the venue. Again, as I said, you eat in a cramped venue, exposed to the stares of the crowd of people standing 1 meter in front of you if they stand up and we sit down. Sultanahmet-Tophane is a place that needs to change its concept of a tourist-shaking venue.

The restaurant is normal. One of the service staff did not treat us appropriately as he encouraged us to order additional dishes even though we were two people, and thus the food became a lot and we took it away!

It is not as good a place as stated, I have experienced much better ones.

While waiting for in the queue today two guys joined the queue after us and spoke to the manager and managed to be seated before 15 waiting customers. It’s very embarrassing that they are treating customers unfairly based on preference. Will not be returning here.

The food is really good here but the service needs a bit more with a smile. We had a girl waitress who really didn’t want to be there.

We arrived there at 20.30, but even though the occupancy rate was 70%, dessert was not served. Even though we had been there many times for dessert and dinner, the young girl in the red sweater said it was never possible. I'm telling you guys, that's what my manager said. She was very rude. The brunette, middle-aged manager also heard us from behind. Unfortunately, this has never fixed the situation. We prefer Yamabahçe for food, but the attitude of the old and new staff towards local customers seems to be the reason why we prefer them. If we were Arab customers, you would never turn us away!

Everything is very successful, perhaps the only place in Central London where you can eat fresh Turkish food at reasonable prices and super quality.

Yamabache truly exceeded all expectations! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with such warmth and hospitality. The service was outstanding — and I have to give a special shoutout to Mirt and Nida, who genuinely made our entire evening. They were both incredibly professional yet so personable — checking in at all the right moments, offering helpful suggestions, and making us feel like VIP guests the entire time. Their positive energy and friendly approach created such a lovely, relaxed atmosphere. It’s rare to come across service that feels so sincere and effortless — Mirt and Nida absolutely nailed it. The food was just as amazing: fresh, flavourful, and beautifully presented. But it was really the service that made this experience stand out. Can’t wait to return — and I’ll definitely be asking for Mirt and Nida again!

Waited 45 minutes on a Saturday evening. Tried to book a table in advance but they don’t have the option too. They don’t have a huge menu so don’t expect to get the entire Turkish cuisine. We ordered 3 meze’s (okay, nothing special, came with complimentary bread), 5 pide’s (10/10 - tasted divine), 2 ayrans (Eker brand, amazing), kunefe (okay but was cold) and Turkish tea (standard). Atmosphere was lovely and warm with heaters on outside. Everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. Service was okay/slow, staff were nice and friendly. We did end up having to ask for things a few times before they were done though. I would probably come again as the pide’s were amazing and the location is great. Bonus points for the food being reasonably priced for London ✨

We went to breakfast today in Yambachi and Nida greeted us and welcomed us. The food is frankly delicious, and the Turkish fatayer, especially the sausage, is bitter. I advise anyone in London to come to this restaurant.

Long 45 min wait on a Friday night during Ramadan. But sweet of them to give water and dates while we were in the queue. It’s a small open kitchen resto where there are only 3-5 indoor tables so we sat outside. It wasn’t a cold day and there were fire heaters. We got: - 2 lentil soup for 4 to share (9/10): The waiter offered a good suggestion of splitting one portion of soup into two separate bowls. Soup was amazing and even better with lemon. Comes with bread. - Bean stew with pilaf rice (8/10): a friend is vegetarian and this was the only veg main other than pide. Slightly spicy and nice - 2 Tandir (9.5/10): the lamb was AMAZING. Crispy outside and perfect amount of fat but super tender inside. Also comes with rice. Wish it had more juice and vegetables other than half a tomato and grilled chili pepper. - Lahmancun (3/10): came with a plate of salad and lemons. expected it to be amazing but it came at the same time as the soup so it went cold quickly. Was dry and hard. Overall it was a very pleasant dining experience 8/10. This was the only restaurant that had a queue in the area at 6:15pm on a Friday evening so that says a lot. The price is good considering it being in Bond Street/Marylebone area, similar price as other restaurants in soho. I definitely recommend and will come back for the pide and Turkish tea. Wish they had clearly labeled a V for vegetarian options. Now they only have vegan options labelled which is still highly appreciated. Also wish they had more veggie options other than pide. Otherwise very good place! Even better if they would do reservations

The food is great, but the manager at the front of the store, who seats people, always allows others to jump the queue. It seems like he's taking tips from these customers to let them cut in line, and he takes them to the back where no one can see. Every time I visit, he does the same thing! Whilst we are all waiting for 50 minutes in the rain and cold.

We went for iftar today. We ordered french fries to accompany our meals just because the food was halal. Then my friend mentioned that he ate somewhere else and it was halal. Then they turned to us and said, "Do you pay attention to what is halal and haram?" When we said yes, they said let's have the fries then. I ate it too, but when I asked, he said get well soon. So there is no halal certificate. They could have told us this up front. We will never choose again.

Second time here not happy. The food did not come for 40 minutes. It went to another table and that table was given an apology but I was not given one.Enjoy the food but the service is not professional

Even if you eat pide in Turkey, not every place can make it good. But this place makes very delicious pide. I tried pide, lahmacun, manti and lamb tandoori, they were all extraordinarily delicious.We always wait in queue in front of the restaurant for about half an hour.

They are so rude to everyone (they didn't treat me today) that I was very happy to get out without getting beaten. What kind of a place can cook such delicious pita and shepherd salad? It is a wonderful establishment where you can eat delicious Turkish food even from many restaurants in Turkey in London. We ate tandoori and minced meat pita, both were delicious.

Rude customer service waiting on line the guy who is responsible is cutting me out and not going in chronological order he skipped us 3 times and gave Turkish people tables ahead of us which is really rude! And saying that im not in line while im standing in-front of the restaurant. Really shocking and disturbing also kinda of racist

unfair owner/manager skipped us the first 2 people on the queue because were middle eastern , and gave the sets for the turks that were way ahead of us and said you weren’t in the queue 😂 then he gave us a table after the other people confirmed we were ahead .. some racism which made it very uncomfortable unpleasant

A Turkish restaurant behind Selfridges. It is very beautiful. You are in Istanbul. The food is the same. I visited it three times, for breakfast and once for lunch, and all of them were successful. The staff is excellent. There is light crowding and the seating is mostly outdoors. The orders were delicious four-cheese pie - wonderful dough dough - beautiful but heavy cheese meat pie - delicious manti, very tasty - good halloumi with saj - excellent lentil soup - good chicken soup and of course wonderful Turkish tea. Prices are average.

A beautiful Turkish restaurant for delicious breakfast, lunch and dinner

Sat outdoors in the winter but there were heaters, the vibes were great and food was delicious.

We went there at 4 pm and ordered desserts. Waited for 15 minutes to be seated and when we got seated they kicked us out because we only wanted desserts and not main food. The server was very disrespectful I don’t advise going there.

Very excellent service and professional in dealing with customers

We bought tandoori, lahmacun, minced meat pita, dried beans, hummus and kunefe. They also started making baklava, it's delicious and full of pistachios. Even though it was incredibly busy, all the staff were smiling and friendly. Prices are reasonable.

There was a QUEUE, I wouldn’t normally queue but my Turkish friend recommended and wanted to go here so we obliged. Waited around 20 mins. Was seated outside but they have plenty of heaters. Not a very large menu but it was good options, I got lentil soup and the Cabon salad as my main and my friends got the lahmacun and I forget the name of the second dish similar beginning with D. The homemade lemonade was excellent. We got the Kanafeh to share, but it was bland we had better. The Turkish tea is so nice. The price was reasonable and the service impeccable. Definitely be back when it’s less busy.

One of the worst experiences I had here in London. At first things were going great and the waiters are friendly. The main course was not cooked right and they asked me to wait to cook for new one, which I agreed. My other main course was setting on serving bench ready to be picked for 10 min and nobody paid any attention to it. I have reminded them couple of time and yet was served to me cold and they offered to replace it which I agreed. The third time when they served the main course , the side dish ( rice ) was cold and I was so frustrated that I had to leave the restaurant and never come back to it or recommend it. Please work on your service, because I really felt I was in circus

Writing this review to thank Diana, who went above and beyond to ensure my daughter had a great meal at Yamabahçe for her 21st birthday with friends and family. I would have no hesitation in recommending this restaurant, tucked in the lovely St Christopher's Place off Oxford Street. The outside dining gives a great atmosphere, the staff helpful, and the food excellent. We had a range of dishes from the Meze to the Kofta and Pide, and all were well presented and tasty. Definitely worth a visit!

They had waiter 18 years old (Turkish) name Ismaile very not polite and not behave insult me in Turkish word (ishaike) mean donkey and he think that I do not understand Turkish with his bad luck I do and I understand the words and I told the manger also Turkish he keep telling me he is 18 year!!!!!!!!!!!!! Is this excuse in London they shold hire even part time behaving waitress .

The food prepared is very basic and can easily be prepared at home. They do not serve any sauces on sides which is quite strange for a Turkish restaurant. The staff is quite unprofessional and does not care of service basics. Wasn’t impressed at all with their preparations and attitude.

Place looked great so I decided to step in for a meal . Great looking menu only looks not the flavours Horrible overrated - have people forgotten good food ; why are they here Anyways to conclude an awfully inexperienced staff ; was in a hurry so removed my fork from my plate and tissues while I was eating . The location of the place is nice, especially after shopping. I tried their four cheeses, some of them delicious, and the fries the other time delicious. This was my second visit to the place.

Last night, we went to a restaurant as a family. I had been there before with friends and was satisfied, so I thought it would be nice to go with my family as well. The restaurant doesn’t take reservations and seats customers as tables become available. However, last night, despite being a family of three with a child, the staff member insisted on seating us at a small table, even though I told them we wouldn’t be comfortable. As a result, we were squeezed onto a small round table that couldn’t accommodate the three of us. It was impossible to fit all our dishes on the table, and we had to hold some in our laps. Noticing this, another staff member—clearly embarrassed—came to us and offered to move us to a bigger table. However, changing tables in the middle of a meal was not ideal or comfortable. Although the food was excellent and suited our taste, the attitude and lack of consideration for customer satisfaction—especially from the man who seemed to be the manager—were very disappointing. While I was satisfied with the food, the service and treatment left me very disappointed. I will definitely share this experience with my acquaintances, and I hope the management takes this feedback into account and acts upon it.

Chicken soup and Develi pita were amazing. Ayran was a little weak. But the Turkish coffee we drank after the meal was very, very good.

Rude staff, one of them spilled oil on my expensive jacket and didn’t even apologize for it and told me to take it to the dry cleaner!!

All staff were good and especially Selvi is very professional . She was very helpful welcoming with smile and even took a time explain about the food and way it is halal or why not. The restaurant was very good with very good dishes. I recommend the place for my friends.
