Baked beans ??? Did I eat piyaz or baked beans? Tasteless and unsalted? ??? I asked for water 5 times, but they didn't care.

A Turkish restaurant behind Selfridges. It is very beautiful. You are in Istanbul. The food is the same. I visited it three times, for breakfast and once for lunch, and all of them were successful. The staff is excellent. There is light crowding and the seating is mostly outdoors. The orders were delicious four-cheese pie - wonderful dough dough - beautiful but heavy cheese meat pie - delicious manti, very tasty - good halloumi with saj - excellent lentil soup - good chicken soup and of course wonderful Turkish tea. Prices are average.

A beautiful Turkish restaurant for delicious breakfast, lunch and dinner

Sat outdoors in the winter but there were heaters, the vibes were great and food was delicious.

Not a great experience with the waiters and rude staff.

We went there at 4 pm and ordered desserts. Waited for 15 minutes to be seated and when we got seated they kicked us out because we only wanted desserts and not main food. The server was very disrespectful I don’t advise going there.

We bought tandoori, lahmacun, minced meat pita, dried beans, hummus and kunefe. They also started making baklava, it's delicious and full of pistachios. Even though it was incredibly busy, all the staff were smiling and friendly. Prices are reasonable.

An unpleasant place that charges exorbitant prices for 2 eggs. There should be less fat in the pitas. We didn't know whether we licked sheep or ate pita.

Beautiful, I swear The place is clean and the fatayer is warm. The four cheeses are delicious. The spinach is not garnished. May God continue the blessing. Delicious meat pie Eggs are sweet.

There was a QUEUE, I wouldn’t normally queue but my Turkish friend recommended and wanted to go here so we obliged. Waited around 20 mins. Was seated outside but they have plenty of heaters. Not a very large menu but it was good options, I got lentil soup and the Cabon salad as my main and my friends got the lahmacun and I forget the name of the second dish similar beginning with D. The homemade lemonade was excellent. We got the Kanafeh to share, but it was bland we had better. The Turkish tea is so nice. The price was reasonable and the service impeccable. Definitely be back when it’s less busy.

The food is good, but there is something better about it

One of the worst experiences I had here in London. At first things were going great and the waiters are friendly. The main course was not cooked right and they asked me to wait to cook for new one, which I agreed. My other main course was setting on serving bench ready to be picked for 10 min and nobody paid any attention to it. I have reminded them couple of time and yet was served to me cold and they offered to replace it which I agreed. The third time when they served the main course , the side dish ( rice ) was cold and I was so frustrated that I had to leave the restaurant and never come back to it or recommend it. Please work on your service, because I really felt I was in circus

Writing this review to thank Diana, who went above and beyond to ensure my daughter had a great meal at Yamabahçe for her 21st birthday with friends and family. I would have no hesitation in recommending this restaurant, tucked in the lovely St Christopher's Place off Oxford Street. The outside dining gives a great atmosphere, the staff helpful, and the food excellent. We had a range of dishes from the Meze to the Kofta and Pide, and all were well presented and tasty. Definitely worth a visit!

Place looked great so I decided to step in for a meal . Great looking menu only looks not the flavours Horrible overrated - have people forgotten good food ; why are they here Anyways to conclude an awfully inexperienced staff ; was in a hurry so removed my fork from my plate and tissues while I was eating . They had waiter 18 years old (Turkish) name Ismaile very not polite and not behave insult me in Turkish word (ishaike) mean donkey and he think that I do not understand Turkish with his bad luck I do and I understand the words and I told the manger also Turkish he keep telling me he is 18 year!!!!!!!!!!!!! Is this excuse in London they shold hire even part time behaving waitress .

The food prepared is very basic and can easily be prepared at home. They do not serve any sauces on sides which is quite strange for a Turkish restaurant. The staff is quite unprofessional and does not care of service basics. Wasn’t impressed at all with their preparations and attitude.

Best informal Turkish restaurant in London by far. And there are some terrible ones which somehow get good ratings.

Delicious, I will return and the best thing is that their prices are average and reasonable compared to London restaurants.

Although I definitely recommend that you can call and reserve a table because on weekends it’s so so so so busy you will not find a table and have to wait a long queue.

Baklava and Turkish Tea outstanding!

The location of the place is nice, especially after shopping. I tried their four cheeses, some of them delicious, and the fries the other time delicious. This was my second visit to the place.

To be honest, it's nice, the service is excellent, and the sessions are nice. I thank the restaurant. There is a waitress whose name I don't really know, but I asked her to change the order after I ordered and she changed the order for me. Thank you for her service and friendliness.

I came to the restaurant based on meat with dough, and it turned out that it was not available until after 12:00

Last night, we went to a restaurant as a family. I had been there before with friends and was satisfied, so I thought it would be nice to go with my family as well. The restaurant doesn’t take reservations and seats customers as tables become available. However, last night, despite being a family of three with a child, the staff member insisted on seating us at a small table, even though I told them we wouldn’t be comfortable. As a result, we were squeezed onto a small round table that couldn’t accommodate the three of us. It was impossible to fit all our dishes on the table, and we had to hold some in our laps. Noticing this, another staff member—clearly embarrassed—came to us and offered to move us to a bigger table. However, changing tables in the middle of a meal was not ideal or comfortable. Although the food was excellent and suited our taste, the attitude and lack of consideration for customer satisfaction—especially from the man who seemed to be the manager—were very disappointing. While I was satisfied with the food, the service and treatment left me very disappointed. I will definitely share this experience with my acquaintances, and I hope the management takes this feedback into account and acts upon it.

Chicken soup and Develi pita were amazing. Ayran was a little weak. But the Turkish coffee we drank after the meal was very, very good.

Rude staff, one of them spilled oil on my expensive jacket and didn’t even apologize for it and told me to take it to the dry cleaner!!

All staff were good and especially Selvi is very professional . She was very helpful welcoming with smile and even took a time explain about the food and way it is halal or why not. The restaurant was very good with very good dishes. I recommend the place for my friends.

I had the pleasure of dining at YAMABAÇE in London, and it was an unforgettable experience! The hummus is hands-down the best I've ever tasted—so creamy, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. And the lahmacun? Absolutely phenomenal! The thin, crispy crust topped with spiced minced meat and fresh herbs was a perfect balance of textures and flavors. The ambiance is warm and welcoming, and the staff are incredibly attentive and friendly. It’s clear they take great pride in their food and service. I can’t recommend this place enough for anyone craving authentic Turkish cuisine. I’ll definitely be coming back soon!

The problem is the delay, the reduction in bread, and the imbalance in bringing the order, meaning the drink is brought long before eating or long after eating. The food is excellent and they do not have a variety of varieties.

I have been a regular customer of Yamabahce restaurant since it opened. Approximately 8 years. I go there nearly every day. However, I have never encountered such bad service or had such sloppy food. Unfortunately, male managers are more interested in making useless chatter and responds negatively to people, but he has nothing to do with the service. I tried to ignore many of the arrogance he had done before because I know it is a good restaurant since I am a regular customer. But he really tested my patience today. Unfortunately, what this manager does is undermine the business because he doesn't want regular customers to come. Today, I first wanted a hot soup, but the soup came cold and with a large piece of parsley and a piece of tomato that should not have been in it. Either the plate wasn't washed, or they dropped these into the soup. However, neither its appearance nor its taste were pleasing. And I believe there was water added to it and it tasted really bad. I will share a picture of the bread served with it. The bread was dry and stale, I think they heated the bread returned from another table and served it again. Moreover, I ordered tandir, which I usually eat and found very delicious. However, it was served the same way, with water added and a side of dry, cold rice. I couldn't stand it anymore and told the manager that the service was very bad today. He took the rice, took it downstairs, said he would warm it and send it back. I didn't like this at all because I thought he would probably heat it in the microwave. However, he made me wait 10 minutes for my food and brought me the same cold rice again. The only difference was that the plate containing the rice was warm. Worst of all, he did not care about the situation at all, and without even apologizing, he was busy removing the tables and repairing things inside the restaurant before it closed, but he did not care about the customers at all. I had to write a comment here today about the bad service in the restaurant, which I praised to everyone and even sent customers. Because I found what was done very disrespectful.

You can go there to catch the familiar taste, but for those who know Turkish food, you should not expect too much, the service is extremely slow (your salad can come while you are drinking tea after you finish your meal) but this is normal in this city.

The breakfast was delicious and enough for two persons

You can tell this place is fabulous by the huge queue waiting outside, to be fed. I only tried the aubergine pide, flatbread, and a cup of Turkish tea, but oh my, what a delight. Such lovely staff, massively busy but authentically turkiye cuisine at its finest in London 🇹🇷 Can't wait to go back and try out more.

At first, everything was going well; I was happy even after waiting for more than half an hour. After we finished eating, the manager came over and asked if we wanted to order anything else. When I said no, he immediately brought the bill and basically kicked us out. We’re sitting there as paying customers, and the treatment we received made me resent to the company. The small space of the place also made me uncomfortable.

One of the best Turkish restaurants I’ve been to! I truly felt like I was in Istanbul. As a Turk, the atmosphere was spot-on. The lahmacun was delicious, the köfte as well, and the rice pilav tasted just like in Turkey. The menemen was perfect; I asked to add sucuk, and they did it without hesitation! The ingredients are authentic and well-prepared. A well-deserved 5/5! The staff is incredibly friendly, I highly recommend it!!
