Yam Yams in Hastings

Had a chilli hot dog here as a quick snack. Or the price thought it would be small at only £5. Boy was I wrong. A big baguette with a full sausage covered in chilli con carne, cheese and onion. It was absolutely delicious! Would be straight back if we are in Hastings again!

Delightful place, food was great, the whole shop has a homey vibe to it. I had just come down from Hastings Castle and was originally heading to Iceland Market, but found this place instead, and happy I did. It's wonderful how life leads you to such tasty places. 😋 😁

The owner is so nice and delicious sandwich. Got suggestion to the next town rye which fulfilled my day. Highly recommend.

Looks a little down at heel but we had a delicious freshly made egg mayo baguette for I think was £3.5 - could of been £3 - can't remember - but fantastic value for money and quality.

Great little place with good service and food

Regularly use yam yams, quick friendly and polite. Food is prepared to order and they use korkers sausages. Pasta is great good portion size and cheaper than the usual fast food crap too 10/10

We popped into this little sandwich shop for a quick bite to eat whilst visiting my granddaughter in Hastings. The shop itself is very small indeed, but i must say for a fast food place it was a total delight. we both had there Tuna fish ciabatta and after seeing my granddaughters one come out of the oven with melted cheese, i must admit i had to forego my diet and ask the young lady serving if i could change my order to have the same. No problem mam, she said. what a delightful girl in a lovely little shop. many thanks

There's too much to say except please take time during your lunch break or on the way to work or even you day off to sample some of the wonderful food these lovely people serve. 5 stars is not enough, should be at least 10.. Get a coffee or tea at a reduced price if you buy a baquette before a certian time. These guys work hard and you can even tailor you food to suit you. You don't have to have exactly what the menu says it's fantastic. Stop reading this and go get a Yam Yams....

Quick lunch, good quality ingredients, just a shame they had run out of several items. Food that we did have was good quality and tasty! Price was pretty reasonable too.

I didn't want a baguette until I saw how nice they were. Staff are willing to change combinations to suit your taste and is lovely and cheap too, excellent lunch thank you.

We have had bagettes from here many time over our stay in Hastings. The food is fresh, tasty and quickly made.The lady is always friendly and super efficient. She has a small but highly organised work space and we love going there for a healthy option lunch. Our favourites are BLT and Farmhouse. Keep up the good work guys. Best lunch food in this part of Hastings by far.

Lovely friendly staff. Always helpful. Very clean. Only small space inside, so normally queuing outside, but worth the wait. The food is always piping hot and lots to choose from.

I have walked past this innocuous little shop so many times I could kick myself. We are really spoilt for choice in Hastings for a quick Sandwich but this little secret was kept from me and I demand to know why? First impressions are good, quite an extensive menu, lots of bread choices and absolutely spotless, I mean sterile spotless, always a really good start. A really pleasant, cheerful young lady served me, could not have been more helpful, put my Baguettes into an oven whilst she prepared the fillings, took her prep gloves off to take my money, then put on a fresh pair to continue my order. It's so obvious this is second nature to her, so now I'm really relaxed and impressed. I make a small change to my order, she doesn't flinch, there's no sigh or look of remonstration, she just makes the addition as if I meant to have it all the time, If I could package whatever she has that makes her this way I could forget the lottery and be rich over night!! So order received I happily take my baguettes home and myself and my husband sit for our quick lunch in between work. Baguettes are perfection, I kid you not, crispy on the outside - not crunchy and hard - crispy with a warm soft interior that still has substance and taste, the fillings were sumptuous and generous and the dogs were really fed up because there were no left overs, don't worry, I bought them a sausage! I'm waxing lyrical here I know and you may think it is a bit much for a sandwich bar, but you really have to go there and try it, what a Gem!

This place is amazing! The staff are great the food is great the value great. Everything about this place us great. Highly recommend for both a casual visitor and a regular like me!! Go here you will NOT be disappointed!

Want a hearty English Breakfast to set you up for the day but don't have the time? Yam Yams breakfast baguettes are the answer! I opted for the "Hog Buster" which was a crispy baguette stuffed with bacon, sausage (good quality 'Korkers' from Kent), black pudding and sliced boiled egg all nestling under melted cheese. Yes, it's not something you would eat every day but in certain circumstances, a big 'ol brekkie like this is just the job! Very reasonably priced, good quality and quick service. There's loads of other options available too. Yummy!

Love this place don't skimp on quality always top notch including the korkers sausages. Friendly service and for under 2 quid you got a breakfast deal in a fresh baguette

Tucked into a tiny building just off the seafront, this is a marvellous take-away. Panninis, hot dogs and baggettes. Loads of flavour, great selection and excellent value too. V friendly owners. if you're looking at stopping at an American chain takeawy walk a few yards further down Castle Street and sample Yam Yams. You won't be disappointed.

Yam Yams has got to be one of the best places to get a hotdog or panini in sussex. and the couple who run it are lovely

The best place to get lunch in Hastings. Lawrence and Yam (the owners) are lovely and always have time to chat. The food is great and they use quality products. Would recommend over and over again! Try it you will not be disappointed!

Oh where do i start with Yam Yams, I dont honestly think that there is a way for me to describe it properly, the only thing that you can do is try it for yourself and see, but i will try.'Yum' doesnt cover it, 'Oh my lord how tasty is that' comes closer, but to truly experience the pure exquisiteness of the Baguettes and Hot Pastries that they sell is to just get down there and EAT! They provide fantastic value for money, their food is cheap, but this does not mean they sacrifice quality, as they simply do not. The BLT is DIVINE! The sausage rolls and Chicken Bakes are so much tastier than the other local option for hot foods.... Dont even get me started on their breakfast baguettes (To die for, cheap, oh im getting hungry just thinking about it)In short, yes, Yam Yam's, Do your tastebuds a favour. BUY IT NOW!My only complaint? Since relocating work to Ashford, i cannot get my daily dose of BLT! Situated between Hastings town centre and old town, this is a great little place to grab lunch, it's a tiny shop with an equally small frontage, easy to overlook, but it's definitely worth keeping an eye out for.It has a very good range of hot and cold sandwiches and baguettes made (quickly) to order, the ingredients are very good quality, (my partner's sandwich was made with President brie), the salad was fresh and crisp, and the fillings are very generous. Pretty impressive given the exceedingly reasonable prices. The food is made right in front of you and the place looked scrupulously clean, they've made very good use of the limited space available, stocking carefully chosen, neatly displayed items instead of cramming every inch of space, and the result is a light, pleasant atmosphere.Although there's no seating the service is very good, the lady behind the counter is extremely friendly and helpful and always seems to have a smile, making Yam Yams a pleasure to visit.

This must be the smallest shop in Hastings but it’s cheap but not at the expense of quality.I saw the girl making the Egg Mayo filling when I was in the shop and they were using fresh eggs headman’s mayonnaise – so that’s a good sign! A Freshly baked baguette with a Jumbo (Korker’s) Sausage is only £1.75 – must be the best price in town!

The Smartest lovely baguette shop you will ever find. It's take-out only but a great selection of baguettes for lunch and breakfast. Be sure to try a BLT with hot bacon baguette – yummm. If you go at breakfast or lunch time be prepared for a line - but the service is quick and the people are friendly.

Yam Yams is a lovely little sandwich / baguette shop near Iceland. They make all their own fillings and bake the Baguettes on the premise. They also sell warm pastries such as sausage rolls, chicken slices etc.Idea if you work in town and looking for lunch or perfect if you want to take a picnic to the beach as it’s on the seafront!Prices are very reasonable fresh Baguettes from £1.90 or a meal deal from £2.70.
