We dropped in on a rainy morning in St. Ives. It's in a prime location, with views over the harbour, and has a really nice atmosphere. Very chilled and service was really friendly. I'm not a coffee drinker, so opted for a really nice hot chocolate. I gather the coffee is excellent though!

Had a bad experience here with the proprietor. Was a horrible really wet day in St Ives, our first time in the town so no knowledge of the place. People just looking for somewhere to get out of the rain. Ventured in here with my 2 teen sons not sure what we'd have to eat or drink. Without going into the conversation the guy was just incredibly rude and snobby to us as customers for asking the odd question about the menu. Did buy a savoury dish which was pretty good to be fair hence 2 stars but still dont understand how unpleasant this man was to me for no reason. Maybe he was having a bad day but I have been to a thousand cafes and restaurants around the world and never been spoken to like this as a customer.

This is our favourite place to eat in St Ives. Either for breakfast, lunch or just coffee, tea and cake. The staff are lovely, it's hidden away so not too touristy and the food is always amazing. Great care is taken with beuaitfuky quality produce and I am always happy to try something I wouldn't normally choose because I know it'll taste fab. Never disappoints.

Yallah coffee is the best we've found in St Ives and the home made cakes are divine (the toasted banana and chocolate cake highly recommended). Hidden up a stone staircase above the kiosk, it's easy to miss this gem of a home roasting coffee shop with fantastic views across the harbour. The people are really friendly and it's a great atmosphere.

This place is a real treat in St Ives. Eat in upstairs or use the kiosk to take a coffee and enjoy it on the bench overlooking the harbour. The coffee is sourced locally and all the cakes pastries are made locally too. They even make their own vegan mozzarella and serve gluten free and vegetarian options. This is the best coffee in St Ives!

Lovely atmosphere and great food here, and also dog friendly which we love. Had a fabulous breakfast of poached cinnamon pears with yogurt and granola (which was top quality with big clusters and pecan nuts, yummy) and returned for a brunch another day of bubble and squeak with an egg which was soooo delicious, I’m going to try and recreate at home but already know it won’t be as good! Well done to the lovely staff who make it so nice to be here

As a cafe aficionado within the southwest region, this was a rather disappointing experience. Decided on visiting during the Christmas period following a recommendation within the Ind. cafe guide. Entered the cafe only to be ignored by the staff. Whilst the cafe was full, the majority of their customers were finished. When I asked for a table, they simply stated they were full. When asked whether it was possible to wait or to be given a timeframe of when I could return, they responded with “You can wait, but please don’t wait inside the cafe”. This was an unwelcoming experience from the get-go, particularly as waiting outside (in the pouring rain) consisted of getting in the way of passing customers who had the same treatment as well as staff running errands up and down the stairs. Regardless, after 10 minutes I entered again as around 10 customers had left at once, whilst several tables were now vacant. Despite their vacancies, the staff appeared reluctant to offer to clear the tables and give me a seat. The only reason I persisted was to have one of their single origins, with the intention of purchasing a couple bags as gifts for fellow coffee lovers. However without an apology, and an overarching feeling of being unwelcome, I decided against purchasing their coffee. All together, highly disappointing experience as a customer. Really hope other customers, particularly those during poor weather, don’t experience the same treatment. It really is a fantastically situated cafe that can make a proper cup of coffee. (Although £3.60+ for a coffee is another topic…

We discovered Yallah when staying in St Ives in Oct 2021 and coming back to Cornwall from Norfolk, this time to Falmouth, we still made the pilgrimage over to this lovely coffee place again. Both times, we have been a party of 3 eco friendly, veggie/vegans and we love that some of their coffee is delivered by sail boat and the many vegan options on offer. I bought some coffee from them and continue to order from their website too, despite living almost the further east you could get from them/an 8 hour drive away.

We stopped off during a walk in St. Ives today to enjoy a coffee on the harbour front at Yallah. When we ordered a latte at 3 pounds 50 pence and a cappuccino at a similar price with no other customers present the scruffy, male member of staff told us he was busy serving other people and that we would need to wait five minutes so we sat down on a bench opposite the Yallah coffee kiosk. He came over and asked us which coffees we had ordered as he had obviously not written down the order to add to his list. We reminded him and then went to collect them. They refuse to take cash using covid 19 as the reason, no surprises there, covid 19 is a very good excuse in Cornwall to provide an even lesser level of customer service than normal. As the man in the couple had no wallet or card and only 5 pounds in change the lady paid over six pounds with her card and was presented with a tiny white cup with a holed lid containing her coffee and the man was presented with a larger white cup with a plastic holed lid. This immediately lead to her complaining three times about its size with no response from the scruffy server guy, the man talked her down to prevent a conflict and then asked for sugar as she left to return to the bench. After being presented with two white sachets of sugar the man pointed out that coffee is not served with white sugar and tossed them onto the counter to be swapped for brown. This prompted the first blame culture episode of the encounter as the server told the man he asked for sugar without specifying which type of sugar, the server then elaborated telling the man that he had been well trained. The server went on to tell the man in a sarcastic manner that he should be more courteous when speaking to people the man replied that next time he serves a coffee it should be with brown sugar and then the server made a further dig that next time the man spoke to someone he should be nice. Of course it must have all been the customers fault due to the sheer arrogance of the know-it-all, blameless member of the youth of today. About 3 minutes later the server crossed the road to initially ask if everything was alright with our coffees. Without receiving a reply he began to become worked up, passive aggressively at first but then launched into a tirade raising his voice when the man interjected after initially not engaging and urging the lady not to engage after having to stop her from complaining initially about the coffees size. He was talking about himself and how the man had hurt his feelings, the typical narcissistic character traits of a mentally ill person. Upon the raised voice the man pointed out that he felt the server was harrassing the couple and asked him to leave threatening to call Devon & Cornwall Police to report the incident if he did not. He then called his boss, closed the coffee kiosk and started crying. Lovely coffee, not so lovely service. Yet again it is with great sadness that I have to leave yet another terrible review on trip advisor about the horrendous rip off prices and stinking attitude that is the 'Cornish' customer service effort.

Went in here off the cuff as you do on holiday . Lovely place buzzing with activity but sufficient pleasant atmosphere . Food was superb I’m not a vegan but have no issue with vegan food other than it can be tasteless but this was not it was excellent . The only reason I’ve given 4 out of 5 is card only payments . Please don’t get me wrong I fully understand taking card only if a business feels this is necessary but as we found with a few places whilst on holiday signage is lacking . We had a good look around before we left and could see nothing , so please it should be clear that card only is your policy so people like us who had budgeted our holiday on saved cash have a clear choice .

The customer before me recieved what was a perfect latte, then when it came to me I ordered an oat flat white, when I recieved it it was the same size as the latte so far too weak for a flat white and the oat milk was very burnt, without latte art and the espresso was over extracted. There didn't seem to be much dedication or passion for the craft which was dissapointing as the main item for sale is coffee and doughnuts.
