The food was so good here that it has spoilt me so I don’t enjoy other Indian Restaurants so much. Now I know what regional curries are meant to taste like, it is hard to settle for anything else.

Great authentic Kolkata style food - biriyani, chops, fish fry. Have already been there about 6 times in the last month!

A great place for takeaway and home delivery, located in a quiet residential neighbourhood of Angel, north London. The food is so good that I would recommend making a trip to this place even though a take-away restaurant. The menu is short, unique and punchy. They specialise in north Indian food, and have a few Bengali specialities - those are the dishes you should be travelling for, to this place. You wouldn’t find some of these speciality dishes in any run-of-the-mill Indian restaurant in London. For starters I would highly recommend the cabin fried fish, beetroot chop and chicken momos – excellent finger food packed with loads of flavour and texture. The dips and sides that come with them are also well thought out and compliments the dishes perfectly. For mains I would recommend kosha mangsho as a must have, with tiffin paratha as the bread of choice. The biriyani is also nice if you fancy some rice. To wash it all down order the popular Indian fizzy drink with a kick – Thumbs up. Misti doi to end it all as an all-time favourite dessert. The owner and chef cooks with care, with customers and flavours in mind and knows a thing or two about hospitality, and it does come across. Great hidden gem in north London.

But its called Almost Firangi because they do a fusion of other cuisines as well including Chinese dishes. I had a lovely fish curry for first and for afters an Indian ice cream lolly on a stick with another dish with a name I can't pronounce! Love it! Probably visit again!

Upscale restaurant with a Michelin star described as “modern Indian”. Food is expertly and delicately spiced. Every dish is exceptional, from mains to dall, naan and rice. Every dish is taken to another level.

Order take aways here each week and they are consistently good and service to match. Have not eaten inside but would do so.
