Ya Hao in Corby

Missing part of the order and the food we received was rubbish. Salty and fried rice was boiled with a few peas. Won’t order from here again.

Guys the special chowmain is like plain chomain it had only shadow of meat is pooooor if you want to keep your customers give them what they buy i found only 2 shrimps and like 4 pieces of pork very pooor dish, i hope this was only my order and you are not joking with all your customers, thats why is low rating

Driver delivered to the wrong address the 1st time he tried to deliver then wandered around the streets for 10 minutes on the 2nd delivery over and hour later as he was at the wrong address again, which was 2 streets away from our house. Food was thankfully tasty when we finally collected ourselves from the driver directing him over the phone back to the main road as he was adamant he was at the correct address.

The food itself was great. Munchie box is good value and can easily feed 2 very hungry people, or probably even 3, full of goodies. The delivery driver was friendly and the delivery time was spot on. I have absolutely no complaints and would certainly order from Ya Hao again.

took 1 hour 40 mins to deliver when food arrived it was cold the chips where pure brown like they had been fried loads they went in the bin not impressed.

Food was good but the cost needs to come down as I only order once a month now

2 hours late. On just eat, it stated as being delivered but it hadnt. I called to chase and said it would be 20 mins. Turned up 40 mins later. This is the 2nd time we have had a problem with late delivery from this restaurant. A call or a message explaining that it would be late would have been appreicated

Fast delivery for a Saturday night (30 mins) - food was piping hot and tasted as great as ever. Highly recommended A+

My delivery was late and the food was cold.

Very disappointed for the money, everything sticky as the honey sauce from the ribs was absolutely everywhere. For the money I wasn’t happy for the first time at all. Always been happy before and today was really and honestly bad. I paid £40 for sticky pots of not even hot food all covered in honey.

The vibe ,friendly staff and atmosphere makes this the perfect place for anything both the food and drinks were too good standard and the staff made sure we had a good time.

Had dinner here, the staff were friendly, the food was delicious and the service was speedy. The place has a nice atmosphere and I love the lanterns hanging from the ceiling. Would definitely recommend.

Really wouldn’t waste your time going! The manager has terrible customer service and all he can say is the price is the price. we waited over an hour for food. Once we went to the bar the cancel the rest we was told we couldn’t and it’s on its way. Then to be told as it’s waste we would have to pay for it. After putting in a complaint the manager said the best he could do is take off £1.80 per person. They wasn’t even busy yet used this as an excuse. We ordered an item 5 times from the moment we sat down, it still didn’t turn up! First time going and will be the last. Would really recommend oriental paradise Northampton. You won’t be disappointed

Sadly Ya Hao has gone downhill. The last 3 times the food has been at least 30 minutes late- even after an hour and a half wait this time! The food arrived barely lukewarm and inedible. We will no longer use them

food never turned up. said delivered and enjoy your food. rang them up, told them the address told me it was on it's way. rang back 20mins later, asked for refund, told it's on it's way. then hung up on and now number busy. Disgraceful service, won't order again!!

Called me to let me know they didn’t have aubergine, offered mushrooms and vegetables in black bean instead and it was delicious. Please consider adding this to your menu! Lovely fresh food.

Nearly two hours waiting for delivery, paid delivery!! When called the restaurant they said they are too busy!!! Unacceptable!

Sweet and sour chicken balls were lovely. The chicken curry was tasteless, and the chicken meat was slimy and weird. I'll buy from here again, but definitely not their chicken curry.

First time ordering from here, food was really good! Tasted fresh and hot when arrived. I’ve tried pretty much every Chinese takeaway bar this one in corby and this is definitely the best out of all of them will be returning again!

Restaurant is decent inside. Good food and served just at the right speed. Menu has a lot of options with everything cooked well, and seasoned very well. Good value at £18 per head. Charged for tap water for the Mrs which isn’t good. Otherwise it would’ve been 5 stars.

Kung po ribs were good and bad at the same time. Arrived hot and smelled well good. The sauce was very flavourful but most of the ribs themselves were tough, had barely any meat on them and/or had a lot of fat and cartilage. Only a couple were amazing with nice bite and soft meat out of the whole portion. Egg fried rice was really nice as well but you can't really go wrong with that.

This was my first try here . Personally I found (special curry) the curry sauce wasn't really curry sauce it had not much flavour and had a powder after taste like crunching sand . Chicken within the curry was the oddest thing I've ever tried I belive it was maybe boiled as it was very wet and slimey in the mouth .there was 2 prawns . The pork slices where very fatty but fine The beef was brilliant . Salt and pepper chips where also very different from multiple places I've eaten not much salt 3 tiny pieces of green chilli and again this odd powder (red) all over the chips which sort of stung the tongue . Special fried rice was certainly not fried it was very wet,starchy and clumped together with small pieces of meat it was not very nice . Spare ribs in chilli and salt again lack of salt and no chilli but lots of garlic and the smallest Spare ribs I've ever seen but actually very nice . Pork balls amazing as well as the chicken balls . I couldn't really understand my food experience considering the really good reviews but I have since been told that delivery is very very different from sitting in at the restaurant. I however can't accept that . Will I go to the restaurant or order again no I wouldn't. I fully understand that every Asian restaurant is different and the food is often very different but with the same name ,so maybe I just didn't like how this place cooks and presents the food .

Was below par food. Just very bland.. couldn't tell much difference in taste between each separate dish. It just simply isn't as nice as Golden Chois..

The food was an hour and 20mins late, I phone when it’s was 20mins late and they told be it would be another 15-20mins but turned into an extra hour. The food was not worth the wait and after being an hour and 20mins late I would of expected something back but nothing, not happy.

Not ordering from here again. Lumps of powdered seasoning not dissolved!! Two meat dishes neither one had meat that was a describable taste. The texture was disgusting.

I ordered food just after 6pm with a requested delivery time of 8pm. After waiting till 8:30 I called the restaurant, spoke to one person who said they would go and check on my order, only to then be hung up on. I called back and a different person went to check and just said “errr yeah it’ll be about ten minutes” no apology, not even a vague acknowledgment of how late the food was even after we had booked a specific delivery slot, just a vague time and then hung up on again. We’ve always enjoyed food from here but the delivery times are just getting worse and worse, we thought choosing a specific slot would help that but apparently not. If there was any kind of sorry it’s so late I probably would have bothered leaving this review because I don’t like writing negative reviews, but if you’re wanting food to turn up when you want/need it to, I’m sorry to say you should go elsewhere.

Great food as always but the delivery time is getting worse. 2hours wait although it was a big order but 1.5 hours should be enough.

Wish I could give you more star's as I enjoyed mine very much! Sadly my partner didn't enjoy the vermicelli he left over half of it. He said it doesn't taste the same anymore as the past few times very bland.

Not as nice as normal, sweet and sour chicken balls had an odd texture.

Order was wrong. We ordered house special fried rice and instead got house special noodles which considering we already had noddles on the order we ended up with a whole lot of noodles!

Chips and noodles were nice although some meat in noodles was quite tough. Ribs however were the worst I've had in a while. Really disappointed because I've had nothing but amazing ribs from Ya Hao but for some reason this time meat was really tough and I struggled to get it off bones.

Would be much better if menu was more described. I have ordered chow mein which usually I get with sauce, but this one was dry and I didn't find the information that it's without sauce.

Delivery was on time but they missed the ordered drink - coke which came very late. We already done with the food before the drink arrived. Food was nice. We both enjoyed it.

I ordered chicken balls , chips and bbq sauce via Ubereats. It said they’d be an hour - An hour and a half later I still didn’t have them. I called the shop at least 20 times before I got through. I was told my food was with the delivery driver and would be approx 15 minutes. I waited for about 30 minutes (was supposed to be there at 9:30-9:50pm and it was now a 11pm) then rang them back as my food still hadn’t been delivered. The man who answered then informed me that there was no chicken balls. I proceeded to ask why his colleague told me the driver was on his way , when I was going to be informed and if they had any intention on contacting me to tell me this (they did not). I asked to cancel the order (as they had accepted it and claimed it was being processed , I was unable to request to cancel it via Ubereats) and then man said he would. I woke up the next morning and they had not canceled the order and had claimed to delivered it. I disputed this with Ubereats but it didn’t let me refund. After being in contact with Ya Hao , I was then told if I rang back later that night I could have my food either then or I could be refunded. I rang up and asked if I could have the food that night to be told they were shut (8pm). I asked for a refund where I was told ‘that is a lot of hassle , it would be easier for us if you could just have the food tomorrow night instead’. I said no , I want a refund and he said he’d have to contact Ubereats which is difficult for them to do. Unfortunately, it seems that everything is difficult for them , including cooking an item off the menu. I told him I definitely wanted a refund and he said he’d call me back the following day. The following day rolls around and I’m patiently waiting for a call from them. Shockingly enough , they never rang. So , I decided that enough is enough and I rang them. The man on the phone then tried to make me just have it that night. Sadly for him , I like my food when I order it , not 3 days after. I told him no , I want a refund to which he told me to contact Ubereats myself because it’s difficult to get through. After telling him that they need to do it because it was THEIR mistake, not mine , I was told I’d receive a call back. Less than an hour later , I got a notification from Ubereats saying I’d get a refund. I now fully understand how they had rats because they rat wouldve been smarter than all of the workers combined. The customer service and unwillingness to help was absolutely shocking. They had no intentions of refunding me but just couldn’t be bothered with the constant calls. This company is about as useful as a chocolate teapot and whenever I have managed to get my chicken balls delivered in the past (always been at least 40 minutes late) , they’ve been undercooked and tasted absolutely vile. 0/10, wouldn’t recommend unless you enjoy trying to communicate with people who don’t care and genuinely don’t want to help. Terrible company , terrible food , even worse people.

Fair enough it’s a hot day today so maybe they’re understaffed but our food was over two hours late and the lad on the phone just kept saying ‘it’s on the way, it’s on the way’ but two hours later still hadn’t arrived. Also the chicken in the noodles was black on the inside. I’m not happy about that. After seeing that chicken inside the chow mien it put me off the rest of the food. Finally arrived at almost 11 o’clock at night (I ordered it at about half 6 to come at around 8)

Ordered at 8pm, it’s now 10:25pm and still no food. Called restaurant 194 the line is constantly busy, gave up in the end and made beans on toast and requested a refund through just eat.
