Y Gornel in Ceredigion

Excelente desayuno vegetariano (en mi caso). Porción decente, también. Personal muy amable. Sin duda volveré a ir cuando trabaje en la zona. 👍🏻

Pedí el desayuno completo y los huevos escalfados! ¡Wau! ! !!!! Debo admitir que estos fueron los mejores desayunos jamás pedidos. Ambos dijimos... ¡gracias a Dios que no intentamos pedir el almuerzo! La elección estaba fuera de este mundo. Al menos el menú del desayuno era más sencillo! 👍👍 Diolch Pav... .. el mejor lugar para comida recién cocinada y sabrosa.

¡Machacando comida! Pequeño café tranquilo fuera de los caminos trillados, tan hermosa comida de desayuno y delicioso café. Definitivamente volveré!

Qué delicia inesperada, el menú tenía una variedad de platos y cada plato que probamos era exuberante. Los precios por la calidad de la comida era muy razonable y el personal era muy amable

Another lovely meal here today. First time for my friend and she loved it. How they all cope in the sweltering heat of the kitchen I don’t know. They deserve a medal.

We popped in after lunch and my only regret is that we didn't eat lunch there. We purchased slices of lemon pound cake that were tangy and light and an apple meringue rectangle that was one of the best desserts I have ever had. There are tables for outdoor dining, and you can purchase. a loaf of bread to take home. The owner, whose grandfather was also a baker, was friendly and kind. It is a very short walk away from the promenade, off the beaten path in an area that was once bustling. They also serve a full array of coffee and tea. A perfect place.

I was looking at restaurant reviews for Aber today, and couldn’t find Y Gornel in the best ones…What??? It must be a mistake? This place serves fabulous food, freshly prepared, delicious for both vegetarians and non vegetarians. The chef is clearly passionate about his job, serves the best ingredients, and sauces to accompany dishes are amazing. Sweets are also top quality. I’m a serious foodie, so trust me when I say it deserves 5 stars 🤩

I found this spot near where I was staying, not expecting the best breakfast I had in my entire trip to Wales. I just got the simple Bacon and Egg Sandwich but it was sublime. The bread was soft and warm and buttery, the ham was salty and smoky but the thing that made the sandwich was the egg. I have never been able to cook an egg this well. It was fully cooked through but silky soft. amazing and quite large. Excellent coffee also, had a flat white. Will definitely return in the future.

Amazing food, always. Cakes are gorgeous too. Friendly and welcoming staff. This cosy little cafe is a gem and our favourite place.

This was recommend and had a lovely selection of delicious food and cakes. The staff were friendly and it was busy but a nice atmosphere.

Food was excellent - fresh and well executed and a wide-ranging menu. I think chef is good! Would also recommend the Aberystwyth roast coffee. Good selection of cakes. Good value. I thought the downstairs seating area might be dingy but was pleasantly surprised. Only suggestion I might make is that they need to display the menu outside somewhere to entice customers in. I can see this is tricky with a chalkboard menu...but still... This seemed like a new venture so I wish it well.

Lovely experience at this cafe. We were a large group (11 + a dog) and we were able to get a table downstairs for us all. The waitresses were really helpful and everything was perfect. Food was fantastic and loved the decor too!

We think l it’s brilliant and,unbeknown to us we have been following the excellent chef,Pavel, at three other good restaurants now he has got his own restaurant his food is better than ever.

Came on this cafe when visiting Aberystwyth. Looks small on the outside but there is more seating downstairs. Lovely fresh wholesome food. Would visit again next time we are in the area

Paweł has cooked in some of the best restaurants in Aberystwyth (Gesture Cymru, Pisgoty) and now he has his own establishment, tiny but wonderful. He does breakfast and lunch and snacks at mid morning and everything is fresh and delicious.
