Absolutely amazing Intro to hotpot dining. Staff were amazing and the food..... Never thought I'd be eating this type of cuisine but would definitely go again.

Booked a Table for 16 people as a 40th birthday meal, the help and service was great so friendly couldn't do enough for us, fantastic atmosphere the whole party had fun and really enjoyed the evening.

Fantastic experience with the whole family. Friendly, welcoming and helpful staff. Great food at a good price. I would highly recommend and would definitely go again.

My first experience of hotpot was very good. We ordered a wide variety of dishes with different soup bases. The staff were very friendly and helped us through the ordering and cooking process as it was my first time. The flavours, the soup, the sauces and sensations were incredible. Everything was high quality from the rib eye slices to the prawn and mushrooms. Flavours upon flavours. The only downside is that despite the deliciousness of the offerings, they're still small portions and this cuisine is mainly water. After spending a lot of money here ordering multiple dishes, I was still hungry. Finished off the night with a Philly cheese steak elsewhere 😂 Fully HMC certified halal.

Although the service was fairly good. I got food poisoning after eating here. I was vomiting for 2 days straight with a fever. Others I went with experienced abdominal pain and nausea. Would not recommend!

Probably the best hotpot I've ever had. Being the very first. Had a good selection of meat and veg. Definitely a place to visit. Sadly only one in leicester.toon a while to get used to. Could have done with chip fryer style to cook meat in post quite a few pieces on the broth. Overall a very good visit

We went with a whole family for a new experience, ambience was great, staff also very nice yet later found making fun of the people trying to figure out how to eat hotpot, food was not very flavourful and the broth wasn’t very flavourful too. It was quite expensive not worth the hype. Totally waste of money.

Went with the family of 8 people found the hotpot broth flavourless that is with chilli flakes , oil and hot water … I guess chilli oil taste better then this or buldak ramen sauce … how can the meat and vegetables taste nice if its boiled in hot chilli water .. the staff was helpful of how to eat it but later they were laughing and making fun of us in their language… it was expensive even to eat there , all of us had to get out of there and bought a takeaway … worst food experience of my life… would not recommend at all … it might be good for some people but definitely not for me who likes spicy food …

Broth was flavourless, and so was the food. Only thing that gave the food flavour was the sauces which were complicated and couldn’t even share with my daughter, to make more money i guess… Definitely not worth how much this costs, food is bland for the ridiculous prices. Workers kept watching over us and laughing and making fun of us… was really awkward.

The food was absolutely amazing. The staff was amazing both Linda and jehad were very nice helpful and they even threw in a freebie which made our day. Will be coming again soon.

Was really excited about visiting this place due to the reviews and it being halal. I had been calling the restaurant the whole day I was at work no answer then decided to turn up with my family and walk in. Turns out they were closed even though on Google it says open on Tuesdays!!! Could have saved the trip to go there and go elsewhere for dinner what a waste of time. Please update opening times online!!!!

We really enjoyed overall experience. It was our first time visiting with family and children. The service was really and staff were kind. The meat was nice and the kids could dip it and enjoy it with sauce. The kids enjoyed the sauce making. The fruit were really delicious specially the orange. The kids enjoyed eating with the chopsticks.

Our visit to Hot7 Hotpot was a much-improved experience! The service was more welcoming and attentive, and the team took the time to explain the menu, making our first hotpot experience enjoyable. Came on Monday with some family. We’d never had hotpot before as it’s rare to find fully halal restaurants but this place was amazing, very authentic and tasty. The staff are so helpful and show you the best way to cook the meat and make the dipping sauces. The meat was tender. We ordered a lychee prawn tree which was very nice on its own or dipped in the hotpot. Everyone enjoyed the food & atmosphere. We did book the table a few days in advance which I would recommend, especially if you have children. Pushchairs are advised to leave at the side as they’re not a lot of space to safely bring out the hotpot. Overall a great experience I would 100% recommend.

We were a group of 5 who had never tried a hot pot before. The staff here took time to explain to us how a hot pot works, went through the menu patiently with us and showed us how to cook the meat and make the sauce as well. We visited this local HotPot place of ours for the first time. We made a reservation prior to our arrival. We were seated as soon as we arrived. It was a Saturday evening so the tables were getting full gradually. They also have seating in the basement. We ordered the Hotpot with dual flavours - I recommend this. Along with that we picked our dishes. The lamb was great! It was thinly sliced and cooks very very quickly. The beef was even better in my opinion, slightly thinker than the lamb and flavourful. The chicken was good too and wasn't dry. If you're a prawn person, you'd like the prawns also. The dips is what is vital, the hotpot broth, along with the dipping sauce makes it delicious. Staff over at Hot7 were great. Max is super friendly and demonstrated how it should be cooked. Yi is very polite, informed us of the duration each item should be cooked and helped us with our order. ZiXuan served us well too. Thank you 😎🙏

And Friendly Staff!, Came here today with my family ordered a range of meats and seafood and we were extremely satisfied, we have been looking for a local halal hot place for a while now, the only other one nearby is in Birmingham, definitely recommend the staff were welcoming will be back soon, the only thing i will say is book a table before hand as they are very busy.

We enjoyed this place immensely. We were 4 people and ordered several dip in dishes. Beef, squid and chicken were top favorites. We also took two soups (mushroom and beef). Fully recommend everyone to try this experience.

An authentic feel to the place and food. The hotpot isn't something to simply be consumed. Rather, it's an experience of cuisine and culture. Although I found it difficult to use chopsticks and to get a grasp of the cook-as-you-go experience, I learnt that this in itself was part of the overall authentic experience. So do not be disheartened or impatient if you, like myself, become a little frustrated upon not being able to simply consume the food. It's all about the experience. The flavours were genuine and authentic, the ingredients were of good quality, and the staff were attentive to our needs. Would certainly recommend.

This is arguably one of the best culinary experiences in Leicester. I've been a good 6 times now, and the food reminds me of the hotpot in China. Ordering/the process takes a little getting used to, but the food is actually phenomenal. I can see seem of the bad reviews are related to service, and they can be quite particular about late/underfilled reservations, but what authentic Chinese place doesn't have a stressed out owner? I tend to go on weekdays as it's a lot more of a chilled vib as it gets quite packed on weekends. Would absolutely recommend trying this place!

We visited HotPot7 in Leicester expecting a good experience but were left thoroughly disappointed. The service was appalling, with both the waitress and waiter being unnecessarily rude and dismissive. To make matters worse, the waitress began cleaning the table while we were still seated, which felt intrusive and disrespectful. When we asked for help understanding how to eat the food, as it was a new cuisine for us, we were met with indifference and no guidance whatsoever. Initially, an older woman seemed kind and helpful, but her attitude changed abruptly when we declined a particular item. Her tone became cold and unwelcoming, making the entire experience feel uncomfortable. While the food may appeal to some, definitely not us, the shocking lack of basic customer service ruined the visit. I would not recommend HotPot7 to anyone looking for a pleasant and welcoming dining experience.

An incredible, unique, and fine dining experience, to say the least ✨️ What a fantastic way to enjoy a more traditional way of eating here in Leicester, i would love to see this concept in Liverpool! Myself and my family thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. The service was impeccable. The food was fresh and tasty as it literally is what you pick to eat and what flavours you as the customer enjoy. Prices are reasonable in my opinion as you are paying for the experience as well as the quality of food and service provided. I would definitely be back!! And totally recommend. Food was top tier. The beef was good quality and the sauce was delicious. Had the Szechuan sauce which really made it for me. Excellent customer service from all staff, especially from Nexus, and the owners (Lina and her son Max) are honestly the kindest people you’ll meet.

Travelled from Birmingham to try this venue with family. Service was the worst in my life. Been made to feel guilt for 4 people who unfortunately were unable to turn up. We still had 18 people. The lady waitress was so rude and kept being disrespectful by talking to other staff members in their language and looking at us then laughing. We felt really disrespected that we had to leave and go find another venue on a Friday night with children as young as 7 months. It’s sad to see a business set up with no customer care. Their loss is someone else’s gain. Management need to take this seriously and hope they can make a change.

First time visit. We booked a table for 20 and unfortunately 18 turned up as other people had last minute inconveniences that came up. We were treated very bad whilst being there with our family and children. The staff were talking in their own language to each other whilst laughing. Felt really uncomfortable. Service was atrocious. They made us feel so uncomfortable due to the fact that some members of family did not turn up. We were told that we made them lose business. When we confronted the manager the staff changed their word and denied everything. Worst experience of my life and very unprofessional staff.

This was a unique and awakening experience in my food journey. As a first timer it was an amazing and delicious encounter for all of us. I was slightly skeptical to try this as I would have to cook my own food but I am glad I tried it. The food was so tasty especially with the sauce you get to choose. The staff were also very helpful and they teach you how to eat it and is friendly. The price was reasonable as well. Loved it. A must try to all.

Not an ideal work party venue. Eight people with 5 dietary requirements. The third time I have tried a hotpot, twice in China. I think it is a novelty and nothing I ate tasted nice after being boiled and dipped in the salty in the sauce bowl.

When someone told me about this HMC halal hotpot place in Leicester I was so excited, came with my husband the same night. Did not disappoint! Great food, great services, creative presentation.

Booked a table for our family of 9 - the servers were fantastic and explained the experience! The spicy broth was really spicy - hit the back of your throat spicy - be warned. The golden chicken broth was pretty good. Next time I’ll try the tomato base. The mushroom platter was 10/10, really enjoyed the marbled beef and the fried chicken. The lychee prawn balls were spectacularly presented. You make your own dipping sauce to accompany the cooked meats. Overall a novel experience with lovely staff. Some trial and error to be expected.

It’s a different cuisine, so while we found some dishes absolutely delicious, others weren’t quite to our preference—but that’s all part of the fun! Making your own sauces is a unique and enjoyable touch, with unlimited refills. Lucy stood out for her outstanding service. She patiently explained the menu, guided us through the process, and even helped us cook when we got a bit lost at the start! A truly memorable dining experience—highly recommended! Fantastic hot pot experience. All the food was sooo fresh and the spicy broth and chicken broth were both super flavoursome. The make your own sauces were excellent adding extra flavour. The portion sizes of the meat were great, they were thinly sliced so cooked really quickly. We had a selection of meats, prawns, chicken, exotic mushrooms and veg and it all worked really well with rice and noodles. All of our party of 5 enjoyed the food. Highly recommend this restaurant and can't wait to go again.

Some of the best service i have had at a restaurant! Really charismatic, willing to joke around with you and willing to teach you how to use chopsticks (but also has forks available) The food was very filling. All you can eat for 2 hours. You get 10 items per round, we struggled to get past round 2 😅 Would recomend if you want good food and a good experience.

Service team normally don't talk to the guests. Food quality used to be excellent but decreased during last visit. It was generally ok but not perfect.

Best hotpot experience I’ve ever had!

The unfresh ingredients caused abdominal pain, especially the garlic and parsley which had been left for several days and had become discoloured. The quality of the ingredients was vastly different from a few weeks ago. No longer recommended.

This was my first hotpot experience and it was amazing ! I was surprised that is an all you can eat and it was so delicious filling that we didn't get past the first round ! The staff were amazing, very helpful and they taught us how to cook the food and made excellent recommendations. Loved it, can't wait to go back again!

Don't often write reviews, but, this place warranted it. Not long left and the experience was fantastic. Having not tried a hotpot place before I was keen to visit before leaving the city. From the moment we walked in, the service was fantastic, the staff and management were probably the friendliest people I've ever met, especially the gentleman owner/manager (I feel rude for not getting his name) he knew we'd never been before and provided us with some incredible recommendations including a unique rice treat desert which was a massive surprise. He shared some of his experience with spice (if you think you like spice, you may have to rethink if you try the normal spicy broth) a joke or two and made sure everything was to your liking without ever intruding. The food itself was great, all really good quality and there was a great selection to choose from (and even some curveballs thrown in for the more adventurous) I'd 100% recommend booking in advance as when we walked past last night it was really busy but we didn't have any issues tonight. In a place where there's so much choice, if you've never tried a hotpot style meal, I'd 1000% recommend this place. Can't fault it and if I could give the service a million stars it wouldn't come anywhere close to what we received. Thank you Xiongqi.

This place is a go-to for those who miss Terra Cotta. Staff are attentive and quick. You won't wait around for your food and all the meats are high quality and the value you get for the price is really good. A place worth going to if you've never been. Their tiger soup is amazing.

Booked a table 3 weeks ago, and when we showed up today we saw that it was closed for rubishment. We even left our number when we booked and they never rang us to tell us it will be closed.

Very unique experience and tasty food... even medium spicy is too spicy but very tasty. Good vegetarian/ vegan options.

With friends, we took a ready hot pot set and we were very happy with all the items it came with. To be expected, it was very spicy! 🔥 Staff was very friendly, looking after us and helping with the items we were not sure how to cook.

As a lover of Chinese hotpot, I enjoyed dining here for lunch. The waiters were really helpful in helping us decide what to order and explaining the concept very clearly. Furthermore, the waiters kept a close eye on our table and on the food to ensure that we were not lacking in anything. This definitely improved the dining experience here. The food itself was delicious, we opted for the dual hotpot flavour - going for a mild broth and a spicy broth - which did not disappoint (as a spice lover!). We ordered the rib-eye beef and marbled beef and lamb rolls and dipped these straight from the broth to the dry chilli seasoning, which I would recommend. I also highly recommend the deep fried pork as a side dish. The lotus root slices were a great addition to the broth, as it soaks up all of the flavour.

Probably best hotpot in Leicester, but will see if there are others comparatively. Make sure you ask about the dished as they are very unique and can be spicy hot. Otherwise this place is a gem. Will make multiple visits and compare to others places in the area. Four starts for being a unique place in Leicester. Small space for round table seating, but we made it work. Service was good but could work on the English translations a bit more. Great fun for groups, families and anyone looking for something different in Leicester.

This was our first experience with a Chinese hotpot and were thoroughly impressed! The staff members talked us through the entire process and were very attentive throughout our time in the restaurant. We opted to have the meat platter for £62 which came with a variety of meats, vegetables, rice & noodles. The food was impeccable and the spicy and bone broths were amazing. We also had some of the Chinese beer that was great too. At some point, one of the staff members came out and offered us some desserts free of charge as well, a very nice touch! Overall, I would highly recommend a visit here if you are a food lover and enjoy taking your time to eat while having a conversation with friends!

Incredible! It's the best hotpot we've had outside of Asia. Really helpful staff and great advice on the level of spiciness. Really great yotiao and definitely get the chrysanthemum. Easiest 5 stars ever. We'll definitely be back
