It's clean and aestheticly not too bad, most of the shops are quite upmarket, and all of the food kiosks are way overpriced. It's a great place for gifts, splurging, and window shopping, but if you are on a tight budget or are just tight (like me), there are few places to bother visiting.

The Highcross Shopping Centre formally known as The Shires has been here since the 90's. Has have a great reputation for top quality stores. They may have lost some flagship branded store's such as The Disney Store but they make up with other branded stores there. Worth visiting when coming to Leicester.

Generally, I like shopping at Highcross, but the old male staff member at the customer service kiosk desk needs to provide better customer service. I often send my parcels here and he always keeps moaning about me taking photos of the items with the label on it and I have to keep explaining the reason each time. Not sure what his problem is, other staff members never have a problem with me taking photos as proof. He also made me wait for a while on another occasion while he was moaning on the phone about some spreadsheet to someone else!!

Highcross has changed in many ways , there isn't much shop I go to anymore which has then made me do more online shopping as there is more variety online

Large indoor shopping centre with a vast area of shops and eateries. Large car park which is well organised and provides easy access to shops.

Good size shopping mall, plenty of parking and reasonably priced. Plenty of shops to choose from, some high end brands. Entrance to the carpark was quite a job to find for someone not local.

Sad to say its become like a ghost town. City Council mayor and his cronies let it down. Because of their greediness. Many peoples opinions are also like mine.

A lot of shops and food choices. Parking is a pain, though, and I'm sure a lot of business is lost because there are other places with free parking and just as many shops/food outlets.

I didn't walk around the entire shopping center, but there are all the necessary stores for shopping

Visited here from Coventry. The shopping centre is more lively, with many shops of choice. Unlike Coventry which either has too many shops boarded up.

Typical large shopping mall. Same old shops without the atmosphere of smaller independent places. Not my cup of tea, but ok for the folk who like sparkly centres.

Bring back the Shires!!! I may be craving for the past wearing "rose-tinted" specs but my infrequent visits here get more and more depressing. If it wasn't for John Lewis there would be little or no reason to visit.

Went to the Apple shop mainly as laptop needed recycling. The signing for disabled rooftop parking is poor to say the least but otherwise the centre was clean with few people. Often happens that the car park payment stations are not all working so there a queues to pay

Ok, so for me, the Highcross is not really somewhere I visit a lot. Only because it's not as good as it used to be. It's clean and the shops that are there are ok. But I would only go to the cinema, for dinner at one of the various restaurants or meet friends for drinks. Excellent for an evening out.

Parking in the city is really inconvenient, so parking here is really recommended. The parking price is reasonable at £3.5 for a short period of time. There aren't many stores, but it's good to take a quick stroll. I really like Waterstones, a bookstore with a large room at one of the entrances. It has different floors with all kinds of books, and the space is very comfortable. It's a great place to spend time browsing. comfortable. However, some of the information on the map seems to have not been updated. It is not clear whether the store has changed or has taken it away. We searched for a store for a long time before asking and saying that it had taken it away.

Clean, tidy, lots of shops and places to relax for a bite to eat, only complaint would be that it is incredibly warm inside the centre which made it a little uncomfortable as you were strolling around. Few shops empty as well which is a shame, hopefully they will be bought up soon and bring those areas back to life. Security is also good, visible and easy to grab attention of if you need help.

Great place to spend a few hours shopping. Atmosphere isn't as great as previous years, mainly due to trade not being great and shops shutting all over town. Ashame really as its a great place for food and some limited shopping.

All brands under one roof . Total retail therapy under one roof. All favourite stores .

Do like this place. It's very well laid out and modern. Puts Nottingham to shame. Our council have taken something that was amazing and wrecked it. Leicester took what was seen as an average shopping experience and have dramatically upgraded it.

Bang average shopping centre in Leicester all the usual shop's best is probably John Lewis and Next but not as good since Debenhams and House of Fraser closed

I had not been for a while and I was surprised how quiet it was with not many people about and how many shops were boarded up,it was still better than when we went outside to the city centre as Leicester is now a unkempt place completely different to when I was a Leicester lad such a shame

Good amount of shops are open though some are closing down or relocating but there are selection there like Next, Zara, H&M, etc.. I especially like to go over to John Lewis due to their and browse their kitchen and homeware sections, they also have family friendly bathrooms on the 3rd floor which is great.

Hi Ross is good but Leicester city centre is dirty and homeless people everywhere. Come on Leicester city Council get these people accommodated and please clean up the streets.

Nice place to shop has been improved massively from a few years ago when I went . The security was also helpful ,when asked where certain places were.

Amazed by the customer service received from Meesha on guest service and Angie controlling the car park. I explained my situation and there was no judgement. Nothing but friendly and helpful.

Lower your rent and you wouldn't have so many empty shops and calm down on your parking charges ( no wonder town is dieing with your parking charges )

What a miserable place Leicester is. Used to just go to the Highcross but that too isn't the nice place it used to be. Give me Market Harborough, Melton or even Hinckley any day. The cost of parking there puts me off too.

Getting into the car park itself is quite the challenge, bad signage on the roads in, parking ok once inside, good selection of shops, few small snack places, most of the restaurants are outside the centre itself and on street level.

Clean enough. A few empty stores. All the big names are found. Easy parking. £3.50 minimum even if you are there for 15 minutes. EV Chargers but only 3 pin 240v believed still to be free.

High Cross shopping centre is rather high end, good for fashionistas. Due to the architecture acoustics it can be noisy. I go to John Lewis only for the cafe. Smallish but interesting menu seldom changes (once a decade) about 4 or 5 items lunchtime but also sandwiches and variety of cakes. I pay £14.00 for coffee and a meat pie with red cabbage and mash. Parking in John Lewis car park £3.50 for 2hrs(?). Cheaper if you park at Victoria Park/De Montfort Hall (south of the city centre off London Road A6) and take a pleasant (long) walk down New Walk and through the city centre.
