Xiong Mao in City of London, Westminster

We ordered at 9pm. At 9:45 the food had not arrived (the restaurant is only a 5 minute drive). We called the restaurant and they told us that the food would be with us in 25 minutes. We called again 45 minutes later as the food still hadn't arrived. They told us "6 minutes". It wasn't until 20 minutes after that when the driver called us because he couldn't find the flat (not his fault). In summary: the food was fantastic and we would definitely order from them again. But we received our food an hour after it was supposed to arrive. This is unacceptable. The strange thing is that the exact same thing happened to us with a local Indian restaurant 10 days ago. Perhaps this is an issue with Just Eat and the restaurant didn't receive notification of the email, but if that's the case then the restaurant lied about how soon we would receive the food we had paid for.

The meal, as always was excellent, I just wish the delivery time was better. Ordered at 19.15 meal arrived 19.10. However I will never change my high end Chinese restaurant of choice.

They left out one of the main dishes, which once we called them arrived 30 mins after everything else. Long waiting time and in my opinion not worth the wait.

Worst Chinese i have eaten in more than 10 years. We threw away everything other than the rice and noodles. Everything i feared from ordering from a Just Eat restaurant. Truly, truly awful food. Total waste of money. Will not be using Just Eat again!

From the time we received the confirmation email which seemed like a long time after I placed the order, the food took a touch over 90 mins to arrive, 45 mins after the expected delivery time. After an hour I rang to find out where it was and was told it had left, I rang 20 minutes later when it still hadn't arrived (we're not that far from them) and got no explaination other than they'd been very busy, food arrived about 10 mins after that. An hour to cook and 30 minutes to deliver is really bad imo, they should have just rejected our order due to being too busy and we could have gone somewhere else. Would not use again. (My other half wants me to note there were no prawn crackers either. This was very important to her).

The soups were well sealed, hot and fresh. The noodles also hot and not soggy or overcooked at all. So delicious. Thank you. We'll definitely order from here again.

Usually amazing but this time took 1.5hrs and part of order was missing and delivery charge was listed on receipt more than on our online receipt. Good normally so tasty and beyond amazing this time tasted a bit stale and no way near its usual quality which is y we had returned so many times.

Rang shop asking for my food and they said the driver had just left...had to wait 30 more minutes... Overall, expensive for pood food quality and service. Do not recommend.

Waited for 40 minutes after the expected delivery time then called the restaurant only to find out that they hadn't received my order! They tried contacting Just Eat but weren't able to get through. Very disappointed indeed.

This is a great chinese in the area, the delivery time was adequate but when the food came there was so much of it and all equally delicious so very worth the wait - I am currently enjoying my second dinner of it. Restaurant quality in a tub. Would definitely order from here again.Thanks Xiong Mao

Absolutley loved the thai green curry and the dumplings!

Got the order mixed up. Sent a chicken Thai green curry instead of a prawn Thai green curry. Disappointing!

What I did receive was very tasty, but half my order was missing.

The crispy duck chow mein and prawns balls were delicious. Two things to note for future. The pancakes had way too much raw flour on them and went all over my hands and surfaces I touched and I was given cookies and cream flavour ice when I ordered strawberry cheesecake ice cream.

The chinese platter and chow mein was very tasty. The delivery was quick. I definately recommend Xiong Mao for great tasting chinese food.

Ordered took two hours to turn up. Stopped answering their phones. Thai curry was alright. Ribs were inedible - mainly fat. Don't bother.
