Worst Chinese Takeaway I ever had. Bad taste, bad quality, bad smell, I felt sick afterwards. Too expensive for it's quality!

waited an hour and a half from ordering to receiving. food was cold/ like warm. standard has gone downhill there.

Love this take away / supermarket. The supermarket has such a wide range of products at very reasonable prices. The take a way food is amazing and you can order whilst your shopping which is a added bonus

Food was not nice especially for a traditional sweet and sour chicken dish. The sweet and sour sauce was very runny and the fried rice was rather dry... quite disappointing

I ordered a delivery from Xian via Just Eat at 18.09. It was finally delivered at 19.50 after I had telephoned the shop and spoke to an unhelpful woman. Her response was not sorry but I can’t help it we’re very busy! Why no notification order would be delayed. I said when will it be delivered and she wouldn’t give me a time. Ordered lemon chicken. The slices tasted cooked and reheated not pleasant. The aubergine dish was very good and the fried rice was average. I complained to the delivery guy that it was so late and he said Xian had only just given it to him.

Absolutely awful food i take away tonight after hit home and opened this terrible food boxes we couldn’t eat i had to order another food from uber I try for first time and never try again the rice is not cooked at all the noodles smell so bad

Super fast. Love the food. Always delivers what we expect and always comes quickly. Have our favourite regular dishes but always enjoy trying new food too.

The food from Xian is always hot & tasty but today I ordered fried prawns in a Thai sauce and was really disappointed. The prawns were not fried and I felt the sweetness of the Thai sauce was overwhelming. You have to guess as there are no pictures of the dish. I will order from Xian again but I won’t be ordering the fried chilli prawns.

Excellent quantity & quality of food for reasonable cost. Been a takeaway only since 2020 with a chinese minmarket at the front of the shop. Food always ready to collect when we come.

There was fast delivery - it took 25 mins to come! The food is delicious, especially the sweet and sour chicken. One thing I would say is that the fish fillet in ginger had too much batter and the chow mein was a bit dry.

The delivery was very very late, 45 mins later than the latest delivery time which was almost 2 hours after we ordered! Food was lovely but we were so disappointed in the delivery time.

Enjoyed all the food, very tasty apart from the udon noodles as the taste was a little bland.

During the pandemic the restaurant closed but is now a takeaway Chinese at the back of an oriental grocer . Still where we sometimes get a takeaway.

Food delicious, phone call received to advise of late delivery, all in , the order took 2 hours but in this case, it must be how popular they are because the food WAS delicious.

Long delivery time. Strangely barbecue spare ribs are not cooked in barbecue sauce. Arrived really dry and with a separate pot of barbecue sauce. Really unusual. Not enough sauce. Not good quality. Never seen ribs sold like that.

Nice big portions of delicious noodles and veggies.

Xian is consistently outstanding. The service is superb. It can take a while but that's simply because they are so popular. Their asian mini supermarket is also really great to stock up or try new things.

After waiting for nearly 2 hours for the food I called the restaurant to be told the food hadn't even been prepared yet so ended up having to cancel the order. Really not good enough service and they should give accurate delivery times when they accept orders (the original order was estimated to arrive in under 1hr).

Awful customer service. Spoke to an extremely rude woman called Zoe who argued and shouted at us. After calling to complain because we had been waiting for 2hrs even though when we placed the order it was a 30min wait, she argued with my mother for a good 15 minutes and did not apologise or offer any sort of compensation once. Furthermore would not allow us to speak to a manager or give us their name. I got second hand embarrassment for Zoe. During collection there was a queue of people who were all in the same situation as is it was awful. Rude people they need to sort themselves out don’t take as many orders if you can’t prepare them all.

The prawn crackers were the tastiest thing in the order. The Singapore fried noodles was pedestrian. Fried rice was nothing special, despite its name. Do yourself a favour and drink 1 litre of water, better result for your pocket.

Extremely poor excuse for a “meal”. Little to no care was taken in it’s preparation. Most of what arrived was utterly disgusting and/or wrong. Most was bland, some of it burnt, some of it in grey-ish slimy gravy. Pretty disgusting. Will never order from there again.

Singapore vermicelli was very powdery tasting. Chicken spring rolls were good. The chicken in black bean sauce tasted watered down.

All good, except the Chicken in Black Bean Sauce didn't taste right, as it was more like a 'cuppa soup', disappointing!

Not fun of food unfortunately. Also I asked them to call my phone instead of knocking on the door to disturb people living there but they didn't call my phone.

I do grocery shopping here for asian/chinese products every week, owner and his wife are both friendly and knowledgeable, the store is compact but selection of product covers a wide range, you can get authentic ingredients as well as frozen and cupboards food.

An oriental min supermarket that has a hot food Chinese take away service ! Good range of food from sauces, noodles, tin food, frozen food to fresh vegetables.

Last Saturday I made my first takeaway order. I ordered 5 dishes. When the delivery arrived it was one item short. I immediately phoned and was assured I would be refunded for the missing dish. Despite my phone call and subsequent email, no refund has been received. First and last time I use this restaurant.

Formerly very reliable. Quality of food has dipped significantly of late and delivery service increasingly erratic with 90 - 120 minute waits now common with zero communication and food frequently cold.

The food was okay at best, ordered 6 different dishes and not one of them was up to a good standard. Prawn balls, the batter was soft and doughy, the dumpling/ dim sum were rubbery. The shredded chilly beef was ok, the beef noodles had a burnt smell to them. The veg spring rolls here fine, but you can hardly go wrong with those.

2 hours from order to delivery. 1 hour more than it said on the app. Just close, don't take order.

It is a beautiful place for your Chinese take-out, no dine in unfortunately. The attendant was very nice and receptive. The mixed sea food noodles was awesome and offcourse the chicken fried rice is delicious. I definitely recommend Xian.

The timings are always wrong for some reason. It always arrives an hour earlier than shown. Eaten from here before but this evening food was disgusting. The ribs inedible, duck over cooked, hoisin sauce didn’t taste right and the rest was pretty average. The only decent dish was the chicken and sweetcorn soup. Won’t be ordering fro them again

I have had a few takeaways from here. I am really happy with the quality of the food. I particularly love the authentic sechuanese dishes. The lamb with cumin is amazing, as are the smacked cucumbers. Great to have a chinese doing more authentic dishes alongside the usual favourites.

We ordered at 19.06 and received the food at 21.05. That was 2 hours for 5 items. Unacceptable. Also the soup and food was cold. We want to support our good local restaurants, but this tried my patience. The delivery driver was fast and efficient.

Worst takeaway I’ve ever had. I could cook better at home. Ordered king prawn fried rice. Rice was overcooked and mashy. Ordered crispy duck as well. Duck tasted off. Will never order again

One of the items in our order was accidentally missed out of the delivery. The restaurant responded to our complaint in a completely appropriate (and friendly) manner. The food was delicious too.

Ordered food at 7pm....told it would be here at 8.20pm...now been told it MIGHT be here by10pm..don't use this resturant....they shouldn't take orders if they can't fulfill the orders..... Absolutely atrocious! We ordered our meal at 19:30, with an estimated delivery time of 21:25. As of 22:10 (almost 3 hours after placing our order), we're still waiting for the delivery. The restaurant is not taking phone calls or providing updates on timing, leaving us in limbo, so we've been left with no other option other than to buy food elsewhere and to cancel this order. Totally appreciate things may be busy on New Year's Eve, but if there's a risk they're unable to process the order, they shouldn't accept the order!!!

Food was delicious Order placed 7.00 arrived at 9.00. 20mins after latest predicted time of 8.20-8.40. Food very tasty and good quality Half duck portion quite small 4 pancakes left but no duck.

I have waited for 2 hours and ended up with the call from restaurant saying one of my dish is run out. I got the order canceled and it hasn’t refunded to me yet! I don’t recommend order the food during the rush hour, it seems that they can’t deal well with the orders.

Unfortunately the experience Started badly due to the time it took to deliver. No sauces were offered for the spring rolls or house noodles. Food was average at best nothing out of the ordinary for a generic Chinese takeaway. I wouldn't go out my way to order there again.

Great Chinese. Used to be a dine in restaurant that now do takeaway and delivery, but same quality as eating in. Definitely one of the better Chinese restaurants you’ll find.

Chicken was rubbery was definitely precooked and the rice was over cooked, More than an hour delivery, used to be fantastic,

Shredded chilli beef was excellent, really crispy Ma po tofu was lovely and super-spicy Singapore vermicelli also nice

The food was delicious filled with flavour and well blended! The beef with dried chillis was great and the char su pork is a must try!

Another successful take away from Xian. Order online, pick your delivery time and earn loyalty points. You can use them next time. And I guarantee you, there will be a next time.

Food is always hot, fresh and tasty. I usually order for delivery and the food always turns up on time and usually earlier than expected.

Being late is not really the issue for us, the issue is that we were not sent a text or anything to tell us that it was going to be late and the excuse was that the restaurant was busy - I should hope that they are busy on a Saturday night. You should not be able to select a specific time if the food cannot be ready 5-10 minutes after that time

Great food and speedy delivery! Enjoyed our feast but only complaint was that it cost £4.50 for only 2 small chicken spring rolls so I felt well and truly ripped off by that. .

Second time ordering and the food was really good! Squid is the best I've had outside of Chinatown! Beef ho fun was really tasty but beef was a little burnt this time. All the same, food was great !
