Wynnstay Arms Hotel Ruabon in Wrexham

We recently have our wedding ceremony and celebration at the Wynnstay. Marie and her team were brilliant, they looked after everyone all day and evening. Thank you so much. Also a mention to marleys for room decoration and entertainment.

Our stay at the Wynnstay Arms met all expectations. Convenient parking, located over a terrific pub and close to Wrexham FC! Located outside of town the hotel is quiet and quaint. It is an older facility but well maintained and the staff was imminently helpful and friendly. They provided direction a to local sites and were great ambassadors for their town. We enjoyed our meal downstairs and retreated to our quiet and comfortable room. The Wynnstay provides all you can ask for in a travel spot and we look forward to our return. We would return just for the included breakfast and the staff!! Wonderful experience.

Popped in for lunch and enjoyed the pie and pint offer. Manchester Meat and Potato was spot on. My partner had the hunters chicken and I also enjoyed a nice flat white. The place was done out nicely for Valentine’s Day with some roses on the smaller tables and seemed to be a nice special menu too. Service from Liam, Ryan & Liv was exceptional as always, always time for a chat.

Beautiful old bar, very nice stout. Great Sunday dinner, Yorkshire puds were on point and the gravey delicious. Beef a bit grey but still good with all that gravey. The puds were really nice and the staff super friendly and helpful. My dog got free treats from the bar a was fine to sit with us while we ate dinner, really good experience definitely going back again next time I'm here.

Great place to stay, food was excellent, rooms were great, we stayed in four different rooms throughout January and February due to visiting close family in hospital.No issues at all ,highly recommended.

Went for dinner last night 4 adults 1 highchair and walked in at 7.20pm. We've been in a couple of times before and had ok food so thought we'd give it another try. We went to the bar and asked for a table and were told we could only sit in the bar area which was fine but the place was empty ! Went to the bar to ask for menus and were told that the kitchen was closing at 7.30 - 7.45 so we'd need to order quickly. We explained that we were waiting for another couple and were told if the kitchen is shut - it's shut!! We should have walked out at this stage but had made arrangements to meet there so left it as someone just having a bad day. We ordered starters and mains and waited for our food. Our friends joined us before the starters had been brought out and we were told that the kitchen was shut so they couldn't order, the attitude of the lady behind the bar was terrible, they quite clearly didn't want us there and were already clearing down the bar washing drip trays and stripping off the bar. Our starters arrived and we asked the waiter to ask the kitchen if we could add two chicken burgers to our order, he did and came back and said no problem. The food itself was very average with tough overcooked calamari, the additional cheese that was supposed to have been added to the burgers arrived on a plate and the prawn linguine was absolutely tasteless. We were trying to order more drinks and the staff were more interested in cleaning than serving us, no one came to clear the table or ask if we wanted desserts. Really really poor all round experience, somewhere we certainly won't be going back to or recommending to anyone. Food and glasses still on the table at 10.30pm and to top it all off - people coming into the bar ordering drinks and eating take away food from the fish and chip shop up the road !!

Came for a wedding anniversary meal... Presentation of the food was good. The roast beef was like old shoe leather. Roast potatoes were well over seasoned. Yorkshire pudding had the texture and taste of cardboard... gravy was pretty damn good though. Left feeling hungry. At £17.50 I would expect a much better Sunday dinner. The over all cost for 6 of us was £176.70. and to add insult to injury... There was a member of staff with dyed red'ish long hair who kept staring at our group after we finished our meal. I really don't appreciate being made to feel like we were "In the way" especially after spending that kind of money. Other than that, the staff were lovely and polite and friendly. I'd have given an extra star if I had not been made to feel so damn uncomfortable.

Absolutely beautiful. Staff very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The room was amazing as was the food -couldn't fault it.

Lovely rooms at a great price. A very convenient place to stay for the area, close to main roads. Good selection of room types, all with all the amenities you might need and breakfast included. Good food available in the pub. Service excellent and nothing is too much trouble for the staff. Already stayed twice and we'll be back again in the future.

This is a really big and well presented old public house, an old coaching house. It's warm and has really nice decor which is synonymous with Marston's brewery houses. Excellent quality food and drink with a warm and friendly atmosphere, great for the whole family and the dog!

Dan is a very lovely kind gentleman but I’m not convinced he’s real, real NPC energy from him. I think he thinks he’s playing sims in real life. Lovely chap tho 🙂 UP THE TOWN !!!!

Booked to stay the wrong Wynnstay arms but glad we did ! We intended to book the one in town as we were here to see a football game, but we accidentliy booked this one. It was 6 miles from the city centre, but it was much better than the one in town. Staff were smiling and friendly , room was small but clean and had everything we needed. Breakfast was lovely. Blind need fixing in the room and could do with replacing the window as its rotten, apart from that all good. Would definitely stay here again.

We booked the wynnstay as a family of 10 for Christmas Dinner, 3 courses pre booked and left disappointed. Over an hour waiting for our starters, ran out of Yorkshire puddings, cold food, waiting 10 minutes after our dinners for the gravy. £80 per head 🙄 attitude from certain staff members as we complained about our time here !!

Been coming here for many years. The interior is lovely, and the service is excellent. Sadly, the quality of the food as hugely declined in recent weeks. The lack of quality is certainly not reflected in the prices. The starters, particularly, are overpriced for what you actually get. A real shame!

Poor service. Meals were slow coming. One of us had 8 scampi the other 10 having been told there would be 12. Two more eventually delivered. Green tea ordered but black tea served. Staff nowhere to be seen We found a member of staff from the kitchen who said she would find a waitress. Nothing happened. Another member of our party went and found a waitress who barely apologised, replaced the tea and said oh! You need a new cup, came back and practically threw it on the table. Very bad mannered. Four in the party and we won't be going again.

Very expensive. French onion soup was too sweet. Two bowls of wishy washy soup was £15 Glass of wine was over £8. Roast chicken dry. Not a great atmosphere and cold. Won't be visiting again.

Lovely visit here last week. Was recommended by a colleague and it did not disappoint. The manager was really friendly and the food was top notch.

Lovely, fresh cooked food. Both pie and salted chilli chicken were excellent and good portions. Friendly helpful staff and a nice atmosphere. We come infrequently but will be back.

Definitely the best for coffee! Lovely cappuccino made by morning crew. Thank you all for a warm welcome each time.

Poor hospitality.. waitress didn't check back on us.. Roast pork didn't come with apple sauce . When I mentioned it when paying the bill was told I had to ask for it.. I'm sorry but if it's on the menu as part of the meal ordered I shouldn't have to ask for it.. And if they had bothered to check back to see if our meal was ok it could have been resolved.. My wife had the beef which was rather well done.. and the Yorkshire puddings were almost cremated

Beautiful Sunday Dinner in a relaxed, pleasant environment. Greeted by the host, Darren & served by pleasant staff. Plenty of food. I had a beef dinner & my husband had belly pork both accompanied, as standard, with roast & mashed potatoes, root carrots, broccoli, red cabbage, parsnips. My husband had stuffing also, while I had a large Yorkshire pudding. Highly recommend a visit

Charming coach house with pub restaurant and rooms. Friendly service at check in. Great room with four poster bed. Accommodating helpful waitress at breakfast. Just a small discrepancy in the total price for the room but solved quickly. Thanks for a nice last minute stay.

Visited on a Wednesday night for a few drinks and food, I messaged their page to book for food the day before with no response but expected it to be quiet. We ordered drinks outside and asked to look at a menu, we were told they were only serving food inside which was fine and that there would be a 30 minute wait which was also fine. When we decided to go in to order food at about 6:30pm it was a very unwelcoming greeting with 3 staff members behind the bar not acknowledging us. We eventually asked if we could now sit in and order food but they didn't seem to want to help and said they will ask to see if we can order food as there was only one chef working. We didn't really feel welcomed so left to go to another pub. We won't be visiting the Wynnstay for a while.

Always service with a smile; wonderful staff, lovely, relaxed atmosphere. Excellent food - generous portions and always delicious! Would absolute recommend, whether for a relaxed drink or full meal.

We attended a wedding evening reception in Llangollen and decided to stay overnight at the hotel. What a lovely experience it was. The staff were all friendly and helpful, the room was very clean and nicely decorated. We had a bar snack prior to going out which was beautifully presented, very reasonably priced and plentiful. In the morning we were treated to a lovely breakfast, plenty of choice and with a time slot so that the restaurant was quiet. We would have liked to have enjoyed the outside area but we had limited time there but we will definitely return and have already recommended it to friends. Thank you for an enjoyable stay.

Been using this local pub/restaurant for years, more so since it received a makeover a few years ago. Tried to support this local business where possible throughout the various lockdowns.Booked a table of 4, received email confirmation the day before.Arrived on time only to be told there was no food due to kitchen refurbishment. No apology. Sent email via website, no response. Sent a message via twitter, still no response. Fortunately another local pub/restaurant were able to accommodate us...we will use them again!

We ordered 3 meals. All 3 came with things missing off them. The loaded fries with mac n cheese & bacon - no bacon. Nachos with sour cream, salsa, guacamole and cheese - no sour cream, salsa or guacamole. King Prawn salad (which arrived a good 10 minutes after the other two meals) was missing the promised new potatoes, mixed beans and pine kernels. Nothing was mentioned until we brought this up with the server - maybe they were hoping we wouldn’t notice?!An apology was made and the excuse given that the chef was on his own in the kitchen (it was a quiet Thursday lunchtime) & a delivery was late. Surely if things are missing off the menu and dishes can’t be made as advertised then that should have been communicated before we ordered and paid! A free desert and drink was provided but overall we were left underwhelmed, which was a shame as we’d looked forward to meeting up for a nice lunch for a long time.

Popped in for a family lunch. Excellent Covid precautions and friendly, attentive staff. Food was excellent and served promptly. Highly recommend fish and chips. Great value for money and good surroundings. Would visit again!

We have always had a lovely meal at the Wynnstay but this time It was the worst meal I have had for many years eating out. I am not a moaner, in fact most times I put up and shut up. Where shall I start ..... starters .... soup like mashed up carrot, bread warm but like rock either microwaved or left to stand under a grill, pate with unedibke pieces of bread, lifeless warm salad once again been under a grill, the waitress took this back. They didn’t have any chutney to accompany the starter. For mains, the bbq chicken you needed a steak knife to cut it, it was like rubber, salad warm been left under a grill, chips tasteless, scampi arrived It was like a child’s portion considering it was £9.50 no Tatar sauce, two vinegar portions left for three of us ... the chips I took home for the dogs. Very poor, I complained quietly when I paid, the waitress apologised and promised to pass on to the kitchen, it’s not good enough, very disappointed. Won’t be back and would not recommend.

The Wynnstay is our local and this was our 1st visit since lockdown. The food was very nice and reasonably priced but the drinks are very expensive especially the bottles of wine. Yes, this may be a hotel but its in a village and charging £23 for bottle is excessive.

Lovely meal, all regulations adhered do.staff were lovely and very polite and helpful. 1st time eating "in" felt very comfortable and safe.

Excellent lunch with my wife and an old friend today.We have not eaten out in 4 months. Great service and superb fish n chips, reasonably priced, very good value. We ordered the small option which was more than enough. Very attentive waitress and manager who were most efficient and helpful. We will definitely make this a regular venue to take our friends and family.

We went here for tea last week, it was absolutely brilliant, beautiful fish and chips great value and service... hopefully we will go again soon.

Recently refurbished and what a difference great food and menu rooms clean and pleasant friendly staff in an quiet area excellent for exploring north east wales

It was with some trepidation that we went here for a meal with friends from Manchester prior to going away for a fortnight, as we had been here on 3 previous (though not lately) occasions and both service and food was poor.Anyway we were immediately shown to our table by who turned out to be the new manager, she took orders for drinks, which did take about 10 mins to come but the bar was very busy. She then took our order for food and when it came about 15 mins later it looked delicious and was well presented. The lamb shank was the biggest I have ever seen. We all loved the food and the service was good while not being over the top. As long as this manager stays here we would highly recommend.

Visiting family in the area and came across the wynnstay. Found a table and lady member of staff came over after a few minutes. We ordered are food and drinks with her, she was very pleasant and discussed menu as we were unsure about the size of one of the dishes we were ordering. Food arrived and was lovely. Every thing was freshly cooked and piping hot. Fresh vegetables, home cooked chips and huge half of chicken. Would defiantly visit again when in the area and recommend.

Has the misfortune to go to the Wynnstay for a meal over the Christmas period, turned up on spec, when we arrived we asked for a table for 4 to be very rudely greeted with 'well have you booked or not' in a tone that can only be described as hostile and full of annoyance - when we said no, we were to told to make do with the bar.Found a table in a small corner, it only had 3 seats so got a spare one from an occupied table that was not using all the seats I was harangued by the same lady that greeted us with ' do not moving the furniture, put it back now' at this point a table of 4 became free and we just moved there instead, the vacating customers said to us 'good luck with her, she has been a cow to us too' - obviously did not fill us with confidence! Went to the bar to order drinks whilst we chose what to eat, served by a lovely young lady who could have not been move helpful, even giving me a taste of the real ale before i purchased - but in the middle of serving she was barked at by the rude member of staff 'never mind chatting, clean the bar when your finished its such a mess', in fairness there were a few empty glasses but nothing major. i enquired with the girl that was serving me who the rude lady was and was there a manager i could speak to I was told that the rude member of staff was Nina the manager and she always rudeWe had our drinks and left, the food that we saw looked great but what an attitude Went to the Corn Mill in Llangollen instead - no comparison

Family time and a beautiful meal.We didnt book a table but was very pleased when we were able to put tables together,the food ,service,atmosphere was great will defo go again.

Decided to go here for Sunday Lunch. Walked in and the bar area was overly busy with no seating we order our drinks at the bar with pushy lady. She did however change my dirty wine glass as there was lipstick on it. We walked into the restaurant area and all the tables were reserved with no times on them so we didn’t know if we could use them. We ended up sitting on the high table across from the bar 27.A woman who was working behind the bar kept looking over at us and making us feel uncomfortable. Whilst we were looking at the menu the woman asked if we were ordering food so we said we are currently looking. I needed to pop to the ladies whilst there the woman asked my husband again if we were eating food. I came back and we decided to have the Vegetarian Sunday Lunch. I went to the bar placed the order with a young polite girl than sat down where upon the woman again asked us if we ordering food. This woman is rude and only cares about getting people to order food. The layout is awful if you’re having drinks as you only have a small area which is also taken up with people eating as there are no times on the reservation on the tables. The meal itself was good except the mash potatoes a little salty for my liking the nut roast was tasty.We could have used two of the reserved tables for our meal as they still hadn’t been occupied when we left.All in all rude member of staff who needs training. The other younger staff were polite and courteous. Need to expand the bar area

Stopped here overnight on way to our daughters, lovely place staff were very friendly and welcoming. Good pub food menu for evening meal, breakfast lovely.

Had a one night stay here. The building is beautifully refurbished and decorated. Our room was big enough for a couple of nights and was comfortable and well equipped. Apparently there are larger rooms available. And dog friendly rooms. The food on offer in the restaurant was very good and nicely presented. All the staff we had contact with were friendly and professional. Would love to stay again.

Very impressive place for any event, and was very busy in the bar, but not very impressed with the dinner, the soup we think was parsnip because there was flakes of parsnip on the top. The main was also disappointing, it didn't look or feel christmassy, no roast parsnips or red cabbage no plain potatoes, no Yorkshire pudding with the beef. Would have been nice to have been offered coffee and mince pies after. Had to ask for water condiments and sauses.

Called in with a friend for lunch. Surroundings very clean and smart. It is obvious that a considerable amount of money has been spent in this place pretty recently.

Visited the Wynnstay today for lunch with friends. I have not been here for years and was told it had been renovated. What a transformation, lovely relaxing surroundings and spotlessly clean. The staff were friendly and attentive. We found the food delicious although there were limited vegetarian options, my meat free burger was very tasty and I would probably order it again when I next visit which hopefully will be soon.

Lovely modem accommodation in a room out-with the main pub off the carpark . Felt relaxed having our dog there due to location of room and laminate flooring . Comfy beds and great power shower.

Came here with our friends for Sunday lunch so we settled down with some very cold stouts The food we ordered was big and hearty and we all commented on the great atmosphere and brilliant staff Well worth a visit in my book Enjoy 😀

Had Lamb roast with a friend last Sunday and very impressed by the overall makeover of the Wynnstay Arms with tasty well cooked food and friendly staff . Nice atmosphere too which should encourage folk to book a wedding or special group occasion here as the ' celebration ' room looked stunning . I used to frequent the Wynnstay years ago when l worked nearby and so pleased that it has not lost it's character but will now be the place to visit and compete with Llangollen establishments with updated rooms to stay in . All my best x

Had lunch here with my friend and we both were pleasantly surprised .The whole hotel has been revamped its beautiful inside and out.The staff were so helpful.Everything I asked for was ok and was no problem.The food was delicious so we will definitely be going back again.

(Just posted this on the hotel page in error) Essentially good pub food and is fantastic for children and Dogs. Gluten free menu could be MUCH better.

Been to the Wynnstay a couple of times with my grandad as it is handy for a little bit of lunch out. Fantastic staff and service, good choice of drinks and menu is perfect. Had a lovely sandwich yesterday 20th August, at the wynnstay in ruabon at 5pm. The young girl Ellie? who was on shift was lovely and polite, even though I observed a very difficult table of 6 who were very rude, and simply just complaining for the sake of complaining, not even giving the staff a chance to help for no reason, but she served with a smile and was still very polite. It's a nice thing to see the staff who get bad reviews, still treat their customers with respect.

Really good service, food was lovely and such a nice atmosphere. Our waitress Sasha was lovely and asked us how our meal was and was very polite :)

Went to the Wynnstay Arms for lunch with my Mum. Really nice decor with a lot of cosy places to sit. Served by Paula who was really friendly and attentive. Good choice of food on menu and reasonably priced. We both went with the Crispy Beef Noodles which were tasty and a good sized portion. Very enjoyable lunch and we will be going back again.

My friend and I popped into the Wynnstay for a bite to eat. The food was great especially my veggie burger- real tasty! The service was fantastic too. Katie was very polite, always smiling and lovely. Thank you Wynnstay for a lovely meal.

Considering I live only 10 minutes away, I was pleasantly surprised at what a lovely venue the Wynnstay Arms is. The function room looked beautiful; very classily decorated with high end furniture and accessories. The two ladies, Sarah & Katie also looked after us all wonderfully. Considering the number of gin glasses used they were constantly being replaced and filled with good humour and a pleasant smile.

We came as part of a group of 50 for a retirement party. The room was lovely and we decorated.

We recently moved to the area and this is our local pub. It is beautiful inside and out. We have found the staff very friendly. Katie is a gem and working hard to keep the place running efficiently. We have had two meals here so far including Sunday lunch and find the food very tasty and presented beautifully. Some of the wait staff are young and still in training so they will get more proficient with time. We recommend this lovely pub to everyone.

As a local in Ruabon I often come here regularly for drinks and food. Unfortunately after a visit here last Saturday afternoon, I won’t be back. Popped in for a drink with my sister and sat at a table after advised to by bar maid- who was herself really nice- and she brought drinks over. Ten minutes later one of the waitresses stormed over, asking if we were eating food. I was looking at the menu but said momentarily not at the moment. She then said really abruptly and rude to ‘ move to the other side of the bar as she had tables booked’ even though there was no reserved sign and the place was really quiet, and she said it quite loudly. She didn’t even apologise, just stormed back off. Although original barmaid did come over and apologise, at this point felt really awkward and just felt really unwelcome.

We booked a table for a quick meal before moving on to another pub in the village. We arrived promptly and were shown to our table. Getting drinks was not easy. The bar staff seemed to have become experts in studiously avoiding looking at you. Our simple order of a burger and a roast chicken were taken eventually and then came the long wait. It was 45 minutes later that the food arrived after getting up and finding a waitress. She was most apologetic and gave us another round of free drinks. We ate up and then tried to pay the bill at the bar. Same problem, no-one would look at you and they were not busy! I stopped one of the staff who was wandering around outside the bar and managed to settle up.

Good menu, food was tasty hot and service was fast. Been several times on previous visits from Australia but the Wynnstay has improved greatly. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Popped in for an evening meal. We were very impressed with staff, service, the basic but delicious food and nice, comfortable surroundings. It had a nice, warm, friendly atmosphere about it. We had a very pleasant time and will definitely be visiting again.

The staff were excellent, one in particular named sharon was extremely polite and friendly. The food was well below what I expected some of it tasted frozen, and bland. I will not be recommending this establishment to my friends or family to eat at,

The hotel is situation right within the Wednesday market, so perfect for a lunch after visiting all the stalls. Excellent welcome, table and bar service and pleased to find a small, elegant lunch menu with none of the standard pub favourites. We chose lambs liver, bacon on bubble and squeak and a Welsh bacon rarebit. The liver dish perfect but the rarebit covering was disappointingly sparse. Great real ale and Welsh pilsner lager made the meal.

lekker hotel in oude stijl maar wel met alle moderne voorzieningen, had zelf een grote kamer en die is echt lekker ruim al vraag ik me af waarom zo groot. jammer dat het raam maar een klein stukje open kan en je er iets onder moet zeten anders valt die weer dicht.

We've been here a few times for a quick snack/ lunch and never had a chance to review. We went for Sunday lunch a few weeks ago after having a Sunday lunch with our grandchildren. As usual a really good meal served. Hot and tasty with amazing Yorkshire pudding followed by, in my opinion, a terrific sticky toffee pudding with custard. Oh my word, Mmmmmm. Definitely go back again.

As the Wynnstay is one of my locals I dined there with family again on 30th March at around 7pm.

Firstly, there’s hardly any vegan options and the ones that are are not labelled. I had a veggie curry which was tasted of vinegar with the most boring naan bread I’ve ever had. It was pretty expensive considering the pub chain feel of the place. The place was quiet and the service was alright although when the waitress asked if everything was ok quickly followed by ‘yes, good’ whilst my mouth was still full was laughable. This place was refurbished last year and its pleasant enough but they’ve ripped the soul from the building - so sad.

My friend and I had a very nice evening meal at the Wynnstay Arms last Friday.

since the new owners took over it is 100 per cent better, the food is lots better, good choice and presented well, the staff are very good and helpful, also the decor and layout is very good, there where 14 of us and we where all seated together, a very good experience

We were out walking the dogs and decided to pop into here for lunch.The Hotel owners have changed so thought we would try.

Eat and drink here regularly, great atmosphere and great selection of gins! Friendly and welcoming staff, sometimes hard to turn up and get a table but they always try their best to accommodate. A great turnaround for the village hotel after years of being run down and unwelcoming.

Called in for a couple of pints to find three of four real ales were unavailable and "coming soon". The place is owned by the brewery !!

I visit the wynnstay arms quiet regularly very impressed with service staff very friendly atmosphere great food prices and great menu.

A venue not normally on our route, but we were told that it had been recenty refurbished and with family connections to it in the past we avoided the bypass route from Wrexham to Llangollen nd drove via Ruabon. Stopped for typical pub lunch, ordered Gammon with pineapple and egg which is a choice I haven't made for some time. All cooked to perfection and really tender gammon. We rarely find accompanying vegetables cooked so well- it was a treat and we vowed to take that detour more often.

Unfortunately I was really disappointed here beautiful decor comfortable and welcoming, but the menu that was available most of it was unavailable! It was mid week but very disappointed with what was on offer

We visited the Wynnstay Arms as a family for a bite to eat. Inside had a lovely atmosphere and all the staff were extremely helpful and pleasant. Great service at the bar, the food arrived prompt and was great quality. Good size portions and really tasty. Ffion attended to our table and was very sweet and polite. We’ll definitely be back soon around a similar time (5pm)

We stayed here a few weeks back for a wedding anniversary and I must say I was really quite impressed with the whole stay! Rooms where excellent, staff where amazing and the food was standard pub food but great meals. We where served by Holly both nights and she was really helpful, knew her stuff and great customer service. I will 100% recommend this hotel to all of our family and friends who are thinking about visiting North Wales. We will definitely be back in the summer!

As we were staying overnight we had an evening meal along with breakfast the following day. Both service and food were excellent

Visited here in New Year’s Day with a group of friends. First time I’ve been since it’s been refurbished and i was really impressed with the atmosphere and vibe and also the food was lovely. We was served by a waitress called Paula who catered to our needs brilliantly with out question. Definitely recommend

We had a very nice meal and was served by a nice polite Lady called Paula who could not do enough for us.

Short for time so popped in for a burger lunch. Lovely table, atmosphere and friendly service from Paula. The food arrived promptly and was delicious.

Food was amazing. Staff super friendly. Service excellent. Got there and were seated straight away even though it looked busy from the outside. The waitress, Hollie, was very friendly and knowledgable in the food on the menu. We didn’t have to wait too long for our food and the service was second to none. Good portion sizes and food was hot. Will definitely recommend and will in no doubt visit again

I had the patte for starters which was so nice. Best I had in a long time. I had a homemade pizza. It was the best j have tasted for years.

I came to your establishment and had the paťe and pizza. It was absolutely amazing. Nothing like I've ever tasted before. Great service

Sadly disappointing, we ordered a vegetarian sharing platter which would have been great if it had arrived as advertised but the Mushrooms and Houmous were missing (they'd run out of the latter, heck there's a supermarket just down the road) ... and we had to point this out to the staff. To be fair the staff did their best and eventually replaced the missing items with an alternative but it would have been much better to have been told of the problems when we ordered, it spoilt the evening

Four of us were looking forward to trying this restaurant. Sadly it was terrible. I chose 3 things on the menu. None were available. I then said I’d have any steak from their separate steak menu. No steaks! All sold out. I ended up with fishcakes. I asked for a tomato salad with this. Out came my fishcakes with 4 cherry tomatoes cut in half! That was my tomato salad. The bar people didn’t know what they were doing either. I paid for a large wine and got a small one. They then told me this was large. Later I had another and that was much larger than the first one. They clearly had no clue. Desserts were just as bad. Nothing like described on the menu. They came back out with 4 wafers and said they had no fruit left! Expensive place, run by young people who clearly don’t have the knowledge or training to do the job well. Whoever orders the food, doesn’t have a clue. Who runs out of most of the menu and ingredients at Christmas??!! What Manager comes out saying sorry the chefs follow pictures! Then says they don’t have all the ingredients! This is the time when you make money on the food!

Went with a pre booked party of 25, the main meal was not nice, out orders were given in advance, the starter was not bad, but the main meal, i ordered Beef and that was nice, but the rest of it was awful 2 roast potatoes, 3 watery sprouts and a bit of carrots and cabbage, i had Xmas pudding which was stone cold, this is the second time i have been , never again, get yourself a new Chef one that knows what they are doing

We were only a party of 3 adults but food took over 1 1/2 hours to arrive. The battered fish was size of a minnow or there abouts.Part of order wasn't with meal and reminding the staff didn't encourage them to supply it. Sweet arrived an hour after mains finished and clear and it was cold and conjealed. Won't be going again.

The newly refurbished pub and restaurant is both welcoming and a great dining experience. The decir is bright and inviting and the staff efficient and helpful.The portion sizes were very good and the steak excellent
