Wylam's Garden in Northumberland

Tried this takeaway for the first time after seeing positive recommendations on a social media group. No menu to see on their Facebook page and no website so we ordered for basic Chinese meal to be delivered. Ordered on a Sunday at 7.45pm and was told it would be approximately 1hr 30min which we were OK about. Ordered Chicken Chow mein & house special mixed meats with ginger and spring onion, Curry and rice. We give clear instructions that they must use the rear of our house to deliver which is clearly marked and is easier for them. We asked for a menu as we were new customers. They delivered to the wrong area of the house and no menu, when we mentioned both to the driver she said she hadn't been told. The food was hot but that is where the positive ends! All of the food was very over salted and noodles congealed in one big lump. Hardly any chicken pieces in the noodles and it was just to salty. The house special had more meat to it but again to salty. We were unable to eat our meal. We tried to phone the takeaway but couldn't get through so give up! We definitely would not recommend this Chinese takeaway.

This takeaway was recommended to me by friends. We ordered food. Sadly the delivery service was busy and was going to take a long time, so I drive there to collect. The food was absolutely beautiful and still Hot when I got it home. Difficult to find decent Chinese food around Crawcrook and Prudhoe. This place is very nice and well worth trying. Best to avoid Saturday night unless you go when they open. It’s very popular.

ordered a BBQ type dish and an omelette dish both with chips. The bbq turned out to be a mega hot chilli type sauce which was not as ordered, the omelette was ok'ish but a bit rubbery as for the chips well all but a taste were binned as they were clearly re-heated from earlier in the day i.e not freshly cooked and were inedible. Will be giving this place a miss in future

Extensive menu, cooked to individual preference (I hate mushrooms) and very popular with customers - as proven by the queue of cars outside!

Understandably busy. Good choice of the usual Chinese dishes. Hot and tasty. Cash only! They do deliver.

We usually go to another longtime favourite New Loon Wah Prudhoe but were told Wylam diner the best si gave it a try ...I love their crispy chicken and crispy king prawn cashew....please note crispy....twice delivered not crispy 😫😫😫😫 offered a replacement up to half hour or more ...so everyone else eats and I eat on my own with the cold rice that was delivered the first time.......not sure what is going on here but for us who like regular takeaway and good food and service this dies not add up. Sorry loon Wah we betrayed you never again ....

Currently sat in the wylam garden waiting on my order. Lots of cars parked outside, phone ringing off the hook and the people waiting inside are horrendous. Sitting complaining constantly about how they’re having to wait. What do they expect .... it’s a Saturday night at 7pm ! I fully expect a wait when I get here due to the time and what night it is. Their kitchen isn’t massive and the staff never stop and I doubt they get the luxury of a break. 5star rating is because the food is always amazing and the staff lovely and friendly. Keep it up guys !

Really great Chinese takeaway since refurbishment. Have been using regularly and tried a few different dishes, always lovely. Those who work there are also really friendly!

Just opened under new management, food was very tasty would definitely recommend and will visit again. Try the honey chilli chicken.
