Been a WV1 corporate season ticket holder for over 5 years and in that time I have taken many clients to games. In the last couple of years the team have been very successful on the pitch so that has added to the experience. The turnover of staff in WV1 bar is high but the excellent Rachel, Ash and Gangun constant ensure the standard of bar service is superb. Catering is a bit hit and miss and choice is limited. Waiting times can also vary. I think the club have a job of work to do to sort out this side of the bar. This is my only complaint. Overall I love going in WV1 though and I have made many new friends in there. My clients love it too and many want to return on a regular basis.

I brought this experience ford my husband ford Christmas. This is the second time we have been. I was a bit disappointed as we both found this restaurant much larger than the previous one was used. The food was very nice but we felt the personal touch was missing. We had seat this time behind the goal which I found frustrating. I do understand that fans stand up when it is near the goal but not for most of the game. The last time we attended we sat where the players come out and the managers stand we found this much better as well was the restaurant we felt was much more personal. We will be going up again as my husband has been a wolves fan since he was a kid even though he is a Essex boy but we will be using the other restaurant next time

Ate here on Sunday for a special family occasion that co-incided with a home game. I'll say nothing more about the football, which is best forgotten !. In all honesty, we were underwhelmed. This is a new stand and the decor is nice but with strange touches, like the open ceiling displaying pipes, tubes and cables !. We were met at the entrance by a really grumpy doorman who simply told us we were early and couldn't come in until 2pm as it didn't open until then. Fair enough, the ticket did say that but what would have been the problem with allowing us inside the entrance hall on an extremely cold afternoon ?. When it did open, it was a little chaotic taking quite some time to get tickets checked, wristbands fixed and climb the stairs where we waited again to be shown to our table. The drinks order was taken some minutes later followed by the food order. The starters then arrived before the first of the drinks, the remainder arriving some minutes later (there were only 4 drinks !). The menu is short, with a short selection of starters and only three mains - lamb, sausage & mash or a veggie option. The starters arrived but the waitress carrying the basket of bread rolls by this time had done several laps past us and missed stopping on each so we had to ask. Mains came swiftly and then we waited to,order desert. I think we were also then supposed to be offered coffee, which never came before we left to watch the match. At half time we came back to find coffee and two repeat deserts on the table but not the other two !. Other tables seemed to have a similar theme. Full time heralded more coffee plus really nice vegetable spring rolls which were arguably the best bit of the meal but needed a dip of some kind or even just soy sauce. We then had to ask for the bill by which time many of the tables had been cleared. As I said, underwhelmed really. Taking the ticket price away from the total price we paid, this was a very expensive but mediocre meal served badly. It was a special occasion for all of us in memory of a lifelong Wolves fan no longer with us. We enjoyed the day for that reason, but I am afraid the place let him down.

Having been to New Year's Eve party at molineux for many years I was a bit doubtful when they changed the format and moved it to WV1 restaurant, we almost did not go and then friends said they would join us if we went, the standard of food was excellent , the valote was delicious and then we had the meat platter, although not my cup if tea my guests said they enjoyed it, the fish course wa amazing and then we had the main course of lamb and pork , personally I stick with the lamb , delicious , and left the pork as I had eaten enough, my only disappointment with the whole evening was the dessert course, I am not a lover of chocolate desserts but this was chocolate brownie with chocolate tart and chocolate mouse all with no cream , very dry and personally I did not like it and would have liked an alternative choice the night was then finished off with a cheese board . A great night was had unfortunately could not find room for the pie that was served up at midnight with the champers . Plenty of dancing , plenty if food . See you next year.

Food and service excellent. Our party of 6 worked out at about £75 each which ain't bad. Included were 2 Car park tickets, matchday programs, free drink, only criticism I have is that my grandson on his first visit to the Mol was subjected to extreme foul language from the guy in front of us, would he have been so illiterate had his own 6 year old grandchild been there ? I doubt it, but then again. ALSO why do people insist on jumping up out of their seats BEFORE the ball has hit the back of the net ? Which results in those that are not as agile missing the action. I'm all for celebrating a goal AFTERWARDS but to deprive fellow supporters of seeing a goal is most inconsiderate. Especially so at the Mol, they being such a rare commodity these days. Anyhow as you can see from the title WV1 scored whilst the team lost (To the less mighty Leeds AGAIN)

Went there with a large party spread over 3 tables. Although the food was excellent, the service let them down. Took them ages to take our drinks order, then three times that to bring them across to us. Two of the tables were nearly finished their meals before our table was served leaving us no time for coffee before the game. No condiments were offered, so even though most of our table ordered the lamb no mint sauce was placed on the table. There was no salt and by the time they brought it over we were half way through the meal. It really was a shame that it was slow service and silly things that let the WV1 down.

We booked a table at WV1 for the final game of the championship season. This coincided with our sixth wedding anniversary. The cost was expensive at around £300 for three of us. What we got for our money was a three course meal, match programs, a comfy seat in the stand, and some entertainment, which consisted of an interview with an ex player, which I enjoyed as a wolves fan. The food was very good and well presented. Maybe it was hard to justify the money, but as a whole package I thought it was just about worth it. I would go for this package again.

Our 40th wedding anniversary present from our sons and their family and everything was perfect. The welcome from the team in the restaurant, the food and setting, and of course the result on the pitch. It was capped by an appearance of Steve Bull, who willingly posed for a picture and spent time chatting with us. A premier place to visit.

The new Stan Cullis Stand at Molineux Stadium is a magnificent building, local football fans will find it hard to believe this is actually the "North Bank". Apparently the owner wants to complete the rest of the ground in the same style, so this project is a work in progress. In the same way, the WV 1 Bar & Grill has much to commend it. The location, the view and certainly the warm and friendly welcome. The value of pre-booking earned a 25% discount and a 6-30pm start ensured there were no issues with waiting for and receiving cold food as other reviews have noted. The food was good without being outstanding. Our party of six covered all the starters and most of the mains which is a problem when the choice is so limited. The dessert menu was even briefer and uninspiring. A big positive are the staff who are unfailingly polite and full of enthusiasm. Ordering at the bar is such a waste of customer time and staff talent, why not let them take orders?Secondly, that one of our group volunteered to teach them how to make Irish Coffee exposes the lack of training and the shortcomings of the menu. They were so eager to learn something as basic as that suggests an untapped resource. So when the management gets it act together and develops the menu and the staff, this place will become very popular. In the meantime, it's worth a visit with realistic expectations.

Booked a table for 8-15 party of six when ordered food were told it would be a 45 min. wait but starters would come in 5-10 min. that was ok for use as we could see there was 1 large party just ordered (aprox 16 people). 1 hour and 25 mins. later no starters had arrived, contacted matrade who thought she was manager appoligised but said they were busy and could not do anything.I then spoke to real manager who got the starters immediatly gave our party 2 bottles of wine free of charge and also as we waited so long for startes that there would not charge us for them. When our food arrived it was perfect, I had the pork mixed grill cooked to perfection well worth a try just for the best sausage I have ever tasted. All the othere meals were excerlent. It all lived up to what other reviews have written, things go wrong but it is how they are sorted out that counts will be dining again for sure. Thanks to the manager (the real one) not just for freebes but the way we were treated could not have done more. Also had a tour of the kitchen as part of his putting customer relations.

Went for an Anniversary meal on Halloween & originally expected to eat in the Restaurant. However as it hasn't opened yet went into the Bar & Grill - we weren't disappointed. Beautiful decor & warm atmosphere, I wouldn't have known this wasn't the Restaurant! The service was brilliant and all staff were very helpful especially with my food allergy. I had Catch-of-the-Day which was a delicious swordfish. My choice of desserts was limited due to my egg allergy (it always is when I eat out) but they made up something for me not on the menu. Had a table overlooking the pitch which was subtly lit up. I understand they are still developing the menu & are responding to feedback on what customers want - so tell them! I can't wait to go back.

Pre-booked a table for 2 with the special offer they are running through November. Seemed fairly quiet in there for a Saturday evening but was "firework" weekend and it is quite a new venue.Food choice had a good variety, with something to suit everyone. We chose the soup and ceasar salad for starters, build your own burger and mixed grill for mains, then ice cream sharing bowl for dessert. All very reasonably priced anyway but even better value with the discount.Food arrived hot and well presented, and was very tasty. The gourmet fries are amazing and the onion rings were what we call "proper" just like American ones.Portion sizes were good, although the sharing dessert was not particularly huge.Maybe we have been to America too many times! The waitress did comment we were the first she had seen able to finish it so that could be true.;)Staff were very pleasant and attentive and the whole atmosphere was very relaxed in there. Bar prices were average pub prices, although we didnt have a cocktail,so again reasonably priced considering location. We will definitely visit again.

Visited the new WV1 Bar and Grill at Molineux and was very impressed. The atmosphere is relaxed without being pretentious. It offers fantastic views of Wolverhampton (!) and the inside of the stadium. Enjoyed caesar salad for starter and fillet steak for mains. It was one of the nicest meals I've had in a long time. Also the staff was superb, friendly, attentive without being too much 'in your face'. This an ideal place to dine if your planning to attend a concert/show in the city and are looking for somewhere to eat first. I'll certainly be going back.

We went to WV1 on a Saturday evening after our first choice of entertainment was fully booked. Our party consisted of four couples from teenagers to fifty somethings. We were expecting it to be busy but there were only around thirty other guests. However it was almost nine o'clock and I imagine a lot of diners had already left. The low numbers did impact on the atmosphere in the bar but it is early days as it has only been open a few weeks. The staff were very attentive and pleasant, from bar staff to waitresses. We ordered a tandoori mixed sharing platter to start with. This was extremely tasty, not too spicy and very well presented. The youngest couple had the mixed grill for main. They both said it was delicious, and the portion was very generous. My partner had the Plain and Simple burger, and my sister a Black Country burger. Both were beautifully cooked with a large portion of chips. Other main courses were Chicken Ceasar Salad, served with chips, and Chicken Breast. All were served promptly. We did not have desserts, deciding to go with Mojito cocktails instead. Sadly we used all the mint before the end of the evening. We all loved the cocktails, although the staff could do with a better ice crusher!! We all felt that the food was exceptional value for money and the cocktails comparable in price to other town centre venues. Great views over the pitch if you like football.

We went as a large group (around 15 of us) the rest of the restaurant was empty, except for a couple of small groups, so there was absolutely no excuse for the long wait for all our courses. A number of us had soup as a starter, which was cold. We asked for it to be warmed up, it was still luke warm. We waited 30 minutes for our main course. Where an order was wrong, and MULTIPLE hairs were in my dinner. Dinner (swordfish) was so so. who has a fillet with wedges? bland boring food. No one bothered with a pudding as we were not prepared to wait. We had hot drinks, it took a number of people to serve a cup of tea, one waitress bought a cup and the pot of tea, another the saucer. We had to ask for milk and a spoon, and these were served individually, by two different waitresses. Appalling service. The staff were very friendly, but not professional. One waitress had her long hair down, should be tied up, especially giving my dinner was hairy. Atmosphere was appalling.Do not waste your money.

We went for my friends birthday in a party of around 30 people but the rest of the restaurant was pretty much empty. The service was quick and all the staff were very friendly but the food was terrible. Not a single plate on our table was emptied. Most of us had burgers or chicken and everything had been cooked within an inch of it's life. The chicken was like leather and the burgers were very dry.The staff dealt with us very quickly though and offered compensation with no argument. I would go again but maybe in 6 months + when the teething problem/chef is fixed. The staff were great but the food let the experience down big time.
