Wun's Tea Room & Bar in City of London, Westminster

We stopped in here for dinner plus cocktails. There is a reasonable eating area downstairs with an attractive bar. Great cocktails and a tapas style menu of some very tasty dishes. Excellent and friendly staff with quick service. We will be back in Soho area . Probably good idea to book as this place looked popular.

The place smelled amazing as soon as we walked in, and the food didn’t disappoint. The beef clay pot and the char siu pork were both incredible, and garlic lovers should definitely try the scallops in garlic butter noodles. Skewers were dry and cocktails were pretty but forgettable, and we wished that there were rice or noodles available as side dishes. The vibe, decor and atmosphere are very cool. Would definitely go back.

A great little restaurant in Soho. Wonderful Chinese tapas style food, perfectly spiced and seasoned. The cocktails are well worth a try too. A great find.

If you have a bad back, I would recommend asking to be seated upstairs as downstairs is all low tables and laid back rattan chairs which are pretty difficult to eat a whole meal in. Luckily we were able to be moved. There is a fun vibe and it does do as promised with its style, but all things considered it was more style over substance. The cocktails were completely unbalanced - the pandan lychee was almost like a milkshake it was so sweet and thick. the Chrysanthemum was almost bitter... But all served beautifully. The food was fun, a deconstructed hybrid affair. But the portions were pretty tiny and the cost was high for the amount of - basically stir fried - food you get. I would almost recommend the char sui (we did think for the cost, 8 thinly sliced pieces of pork was only just borderline acceptable, and didnt' come with ANYTHING else, like rice) and would recommend the beef claypot and cheung fun. All in all, not the best value but each (small!!) dish was good.

Had a great time tonight, Diogo was very helpful and friendly - the food was great but the cocktails were better. Would definitely go back.

Great location to grab a tasty Chinese influenced "tapas" type meal pre-thearte. Lots of interesting plates, full of flavour with a modern twist. Excellent service and amazing cocktails.

We came here for dinner and three of us are all satisfied with the food here. The menu is not long so we ordered almost 2/3 of the dishes they have and each one of them is good! I also enjoyed the Hong Kong Iced Tea here.

Mixed up feeling with this place... at first, place was Nice in the middle of chinatown, we had a réservation and show up à bit late but the welcoming was Nice. We arrived around 9.15 pm and immediatly the waitress told us that we have to order quickly as the kitchen was gonna close....bit strange in soho... we had two lovely cocktails, but 10 min after starting them the waitress come again to ask if we like another one as they were gonna stop making cocktail after 9.30.... again a bit strange to not be able to order drinks while eating diner.... i have to say i found her pretty bossy and not cool at all.... we had 4/5 dishes on the menu , all pretty good but in very small portions for the price.... almost 10pm the waitress came again to say that they are gonna close soon and she refuse lot of customers that were trying to get à drinks... i dont see why you open à place at night if you refuse to serve after 9.30.... looks like she had an appointements later or the real boss wasnt there so they manage to close so quickly.... quarter to ten they cut the ambient music and bring the Bill quickly so i felt like we had to leave as soon as possible... a 120 pounds Bill for a fast 40 minutes chinese food made me feel like i lost my romantic evening in this place and Will definitely not recommend it except if you like to eat super fast ....

We booked a table for two in advance. On arrival we had been given a very small table (upstairs), we had to sit side by side with very limited space to move around. This table is obviously only enough for one person. We were hoping to move to another table but have been rejected at first as it was a four seats table. Thankfully we were able to move to other table at last or this dining experience would be really awful. We soon realise they offered a big table (enough for 3-4 people to a couple - which is really disappointing to see that as we could have been offered to sit there at first. We also then realise there are PLENTY seats downstairs so why did the team not offer these when they knew that we were not sitting comfortably? Besides that, food are not served hot enough which is also quite disappointing. With the price we are paying, we are not happy with the service and will not return again.

We sat upstairs for a meal here before going to the theatre. Great location, atmosphere and music, and everyone was very friendly. All the food was amazing, we had the char sui, fried chicken, crispy duck and wok fried greens, along with the tea ceremony dragonwell tea. We are bringing our friends for a second visit.

I've noticed a few negative reviews just as I went to add mine and feel like they must have been at a different place to where I went yesterday. Our experience was great, we even arrived a bit early on the off-chance they could seat us ahead of our reservation and were welcomed straight in and taken to our table. The only criticism I have is that some of the tables have a bench one side, chair the other. The chair is so low vs the bench that one of you feels like a giant compared with the other! Our waiter couldn't have been nicer and explained the menu to us, giving us recommendations. Our tea and the food were delicious. We were also able to sit and relax and chat without being rushed out of the door which felt like a real novelty for central London. Prices were very reasonable too. This place is a bit different and definitely worth a visit.

Awful service. Staff were extremely rude at the door, had to pass several hoops fo prove we had a table. Most insulted I've felt in a while.
