Wuli Wuli in Southwark

Starter was ok but bit overpriced. Black bean prawn and egg rice tasted like cheap supermarket Chinese. To be fair the prawns in it were nice and well cooked, but the rest was poor. Eatable but poor. Even the rice was pretty tasteless. Certainly won’t order again.

Delicious food, arrived still hot. Not greased soaked like many places. Good choice on the menu. It took nearly an hour but |’d rather wait a bit longer for a decent meal.

Great Chinese, fresh and flavourful

The food came early. It was hot and tasty. However I ordered King Prawn fried rice and was given something else (I think it was the special fried rice> mixed meat). It was very late and we were hungry so we didn’t call. I don’t know if that’s how the restaurant views King Prawn!?!? But what we got was not it.

Food was due to arrive at 8.30pm, it arrived at 9.25. When I checked the app to find out where my order was, it said it had been delivered, called restaurant at 9pm to be told it was on its way, no apology. Driver turns up at 9.25, no apology. Food was cold and tasteless. A shame because I have ordered from this restaurant many times before and have had great service and great food.

Very good. One of the boxes opened up and left a mess in the bag, but everything was hot and well made. It arrived 40 minutes before it was due (this doesn't always happen).

Good food and flavoursome. Only disappointment was Salt & Pepper squid had no mention of Chilli and sadly it arrived with lots of chilli and seeds in which made it impossible for me to eat. Everything else was good.

There was one thing I hadn't ordered before. Another was undercooked or soggy. Usually everything is excellent.

Wuli Wuli’s food is good which is why we decided to order our Chinese New Year meal from them despite having been messed around with delivery times in the past (once waiting four hours for our delivery to arrive). Last night we ordered at 18:45 because we knew it would take ages. Estimated time to process the order was 120 minutes. No sign of the food after that, and no way to contact them because their phone was ringing out (great way to further annoy your customers). Lady phoned at 22:30 (!) to say we wouldn’t be receiving our food because ‘they took too many orders for CNY and were overwhelmed’. Serious issues with delivery and customer service, will NEVER order from them again.

More than 2 hours after ordering we are still waiting for our delivery, and there is nobody answering the phone. No idea if the food is any good tonight. Won’t be ordering again which is a shame as their chilli ribs are fantastic.

We waited and watched 3 drivers cancel our delivery after ordering at 6pm - on Chinese New Year when my kids had spent ages setting and decorating the table excited to be trying dumplings for the first time - there was massive disappointment. I could understand one driver being turned away even 2 if busy but 3 and then on the 4th to finally cancel the order is unacceptable. Cheers for ruining our night.

Aubergine and Lamb with cumin were fantastic, Ho Fun a bit less exciting but still nice. 2nd time ordering from Wuli Wuli and there will definitely be a 3rd!

Food delicious but no free prawn crackers?! Can’t remember the last time I got a Chinese takeaway & it didn’t come with prawn crackers. Highly highly disappointing

We usually love Wuli Wuli but tonight they failed us. The food was cold, stodgy and flavourless. We’ve ordered many times as it is our go to Chinese takeaway but tonight was really disappointing.

Really nice takeaway. Online wish was that the mapo tofu was a bit more spicy, it wasn’t very spicy to my tastes. The morning glory was really lovely and well seasoned, not over cooked.

The food was lovely but we had to wait two hours for delivery. I know these times are a challenge, but you have to be honest with delivery times. It’s not fair to wait so long.

Delicious and arrived bang on time.

The food here is fine, pretty tasty although obviously some is reheated not fresh. But it took 2 and a half hours to arrive after a projection of just over an hour. No one answered the phone at the restaurant after several attempts, we had no idea if the food we even going to arrive. By the time it arrived we had given up and started making beans on toast. As all this ruined our plans for the evening I requested a partial refund, which was denied. Their lack of communication and contrition is frustrating, and has lost my business. I'll choose from one of the many alternatives of similar/better quality next time.

Food was ridiculously late. I rang four times and she kept saying it was five minutes away, this went on for an hour. It wasn’t worth the wait!

Food took 1.5 hours - way too long. Great quality food though.

The food arrived well over an hour after the delivery time was stated. We contacted the restaurant 6 times from 840 - 940 to ask about the status of our order and delivery. We were told the food would be delivered at 840, but when we called at 840 the food had not been made yet! I have made a formal complaint with the restaurant and expect a refund for the awful service provided.

Great food, have dined from wuli wuli before, however disappointed with the delivery time as this made us late meeting our friends costing money on uber to get to the party!

The food Is oily, especially the sesame prawn toasts. The fried rice and the special fried noodles both hardly have any flavour. The kung Pao chicken is really bad. It was too sweet. Dont waste your money... I wasted £25.00

Wuli Wuli was beyond doubt fantastic several years ago...we’ve sadly watched it go downhill. Just had a takeaway tonight which was the final straw..the chicken was cremated and the sweet and sour just tasted of chemicals..it was pretty disgusting...each takeaway has got worse...never ever again 😥

We love wuli wuli. Takeaway food is a bit more ordinary Chinese style, but the restaurant menu is knock out. Love the thick noodles and the aubergine dish. Good service and good value too.

I have been ordering meal take away from wuli wuli for quiet a while. Today I was extremely disappointed.I decided to order something different like Malaysian ho fun. Big mistake. As you can see from the picture the noodles were all in little pieces,few prawns and some chicken in very small pieces. Overall was tasteless and I couldn't finish to eat. I also ordered won ton soup which was nice and handmade meat and vegetable dumpling. The container with the dumplings were not labelled making difficult for vegetarian guest to work out which one was for him. Texture was too greasy and soggy. Very disappointing. Will I order again? Maybe NOT

On a Friday evening, only 3 item ordered..we waited over 2 hours watching the uber updates .. of which there were many...the food never arrived.. Yan apparently is the manager, she blamed Uber for not picking up the order even though She said it was prepared on time and waiting to be picked up by uber 2 hours previously ... (obviously it would be cold at this point) she fobbed us off ... A friend who contacted them on our behalf was hung up on 3 times... they obviously refused to take responsibility and then suddenly they cancelled the order .... they are a disrespectful and rude business ... don't bother ...as a business .. really don't bother... If you would like evidence to back up .. please ask .. we recorded the conversations and kept a screen shots of all the changes in delays to delivery as they happened. Yan is a manager who can't manage and refuses to give her surname ... and surprising (not !!!!) cancelled the order .... really, really don't bother... worst experience ever........

It is a very cosy Chineese restaurant, the food was decent for the price, very resonable, service wasnt very helpful but this is very common in Chinese restaurants

Tried here having eaten at Silk Road previously. Main advantage is that you can get a seat immediate and a table to yourself. Had sparkling saki, which was okay and then morning glory with garlic and, after a slight wait, some noodles with seasoning peanuts and (unfortunately as I hate them) cucumber. The morning glory was good and noodles fine. Main quibble was that this was quite enough - as with Silk Road I could eat this type of noodle all day.

This is my third time going over in a month. I ordered the Dan Dan noodles which is a thick “belt” noodle that you can have with mince beef. It has a salted beef sauce with ample amounts of garlic. Also tried a similar dish with beef brisket. I can eat quite spicy food but wouldn’t recommend adding extra chilly. It’s much easier to eat with a fork than with the chopsticks. My wife ordered the kung po chicken which had cashew nuts, chili, celery. Overall really delicious. I’m Malaysian and the food tastes authentic to me. Spent about £24 including one white wine and service charge Decor is simple

Estado buscando un buen restaurante chino localmente para llevar un rato tropezamos con Wuli Wuli y me alegro tanto de haberlo hecho. Costillas seco ordenados para empezar, que son las mejores que he probado (chili y pimienta a la carne y absorbe los gustos increíble), principal de carne desmenuzada chili estaba crujiente y muy sabrosa y el especial chow mien era magnífico. Ganas de pedir otra comida para llevar, escuchar pronto.

We ate in. Great authentic Chinese food. Dumplings were excellent. Main courses are large and beer is cold 👍🏻 would go again and is less stressful than sorting silk road.

The food at Wuli Wuli is much tastier than your average Chinese restaurant. There's a real depth and variety of flavours, and for reasonable prices. Good vegetarian options, and helpful, friendly staff who are willing and able to advise on what to eat.
