Fish, peas, gravy all edible.. the Chips... well unfortunatley as per most of the reviews, they were pale, limp, greasy and totally under cooked. Wouldn't go again, had far better elsewhere.

We went there on our way to Mablethorpe on Friday 6th Oct evening. Staff was very polite, food was great and price affordable. Didn't cost any extra to sit down inside with a cup of tea. We will definitively come back

Living in the next village I often frequent this chippy. Always piping hot whether it's just chips and curry, a sausage for the dog or fish, chips and peas and it doesn't matter what time I go either. Staff are always friendly and it's always busy. A fantastic chippy.

This chippy is the worst. The chips were absolutely vile, I ended up binning half my meal (chips and mushy peas) as the grease residue in my mouth as I was eating the anaemic soggy chips was causing me to feel sick. The mushy peas were bland and not thick enough in my opinion. I have been a handful of times at different times of the day (thinking maybe the chips and peas will be better next time) no... always disgusting, and since I was always binning them due to the impending feeling of nausea, a waste of money. Now I simply avoid this place at all costs and drive to another chippy further out which is spot on every time.

We always stop here when either going to the coast or from it. The chips and fish are always freshly cooked and hot. The batter is crisp and not greasy. Well worth a visit.

From a nostalgic perspective we always used to stop off for fish and chips on our way home from the coast so I just fancied having some. I have to say that they were the worst fish and chips I’ve had in a long time, the haddock had very little fish under the anemic looking batter, this was covering up the chips which were again anemic and covered in mushy peas which I had not ordered thus making them even more soggy. In view of fish and chips not being a cheap snack these days just be warned!

Some of the worst chips I’ve ever had. They were greasy, undercooked and mushy. Sausage was okay but the batter on it was undercooked and soggy. Grumpy and glum service (I had to put my own food in the bag) and very expensive. A very poor experience - avoid.

Ordered Sausage and chips twice plus 1 fishcake. Assistant cooked us some scraps. Sat in car to eat and they were awful. The chips were full of grease and the sausages were very small with hard batter. The chips cost £3.00 per portion and the sausages and fishcake were £1.50 each. A total of £10.50. Most of the food was thrown in the bin. Avoid.

Driving through Lincolnshire with work, I spotted this traditional fish and chip shop one weekday lunch time. I had my usual: fishcake, mushy peas, chips and batter-bits, but chose to have the battered fishcake. The chips were nicely cooked, peas soft as they should be...

We stopped on the way home in the Motorhome and wish we had carried on. Chips were revolting, hardly cooked and covered in oil. Fish was even worse with slimy fish and undercooked batter. We will certainly not stop again.

Altho my fish chips and mushy peas were nice and hot my friend had the pie, we asked if it was homemade, it didn’t appear to us to be homemade, altho hot more like a pukka pie, poor filling and the plate was a wash with thick gravy.

Bought 2 regular cod and a large chips, big disappointment, the cod was the flattest fish I have ever had, nothing like the chunky cod as described in the reviews. Chips were ok. Will not be going back.

Don't go here. Prices were absolutely ridiculous for the amount of food you get. Got some chips for dinner and I'm not joking it must have been less then a hand full of chips. Waste of money, left hungry and went somewhere else. SAVE YOUR MONEY FOR SOMETHING BETTER.

This small but well placed cafe is just brilliant. Dog friendly (with a free biscuit for your pooch if you're lucky), people friendly and with friendly staff this is easily misable as just another cafe on the front but it's definitely worth a stop. We were back and forth during our two week stay - they do an awesome cup of tea, the crab meat sandwich was lovely, the cakes and scones were delicious. Make sure you stop for a cuppa, a cold drink, a beer, some delicious seafood or a cheeky slice of lemon drizzle cake!
