Lovely veggie and vegan food, friendly service in a beautiful tranquil setting. Great for short walks around lake and woodland too.

We found this place by accident. It is a cafe in a Buddhist Centre and retreat, set in an old country house. The food is veggie, naturally, and was superb. The building is very interesting and there is a lovely woodland walk. We will definitely return.

I love this tranquil oasis. The Cafe has a spacious sitting area surrounded by a stunning garden.Staff are friendly, chatty & helpful. I especially like the vegan cakes & gluten free date slices are to die for. Afterwards I like to take a walk in the beautiful grounds and admire the beautifully kept gardens & the wonderful flowers. Their green. fingered gardeners do a wonderful job....if you are lucky you may spy a shy Muntjac Deer in the surrounding forest!!🥰

Beware, do not visit unless you check the opening times first. A group of us decided to go for coffee here based on previous feedback. When we arrived we found the gates locked. A local resident was approached to determine if the Cafe would be opening today. This resulted in a stream of abuse from this gentleman who was most unhelpful. A person presumably from the centre also appeared at the gate and was equally angry saying that the cafe was closed.

The grounds and ambience here is enough to make the trip.. however the food and coffee top it off. The coffee is fantastic, the best in Northampton and the food is lovely.

We finally tried this cafe. In a beautiful building and surrounding s. Friendly volunteers running the cafe. I would have liked a gluten free sandwich but was told sandwiches already made. We had salads which were very simple but enjoyable . We will visit again. Good coffee

Just a few miles off the A14 but you won't regret getting off the road to find this cafe instead of the usual motorway services. Set in beautiful grounds, in a lovely old building which also houses a buddhist meditation centre and retreat. The cafe is vegetarian but with a good choice of dishes, all very reasonably priced, great coffee and we had light delicious scones and sat in the sun in the garden. A lovely experience which we will definately take time to visit again.

My second visit with a friend for afternoon tea. Beautiful surroundings, it was nice enough to sit outside. The tea and cakes were amazing, so difficult to choose I had to have two. A super little shop on site, all in all a lovely place to enjoy afternoon tea in peace and tranquility

On a recent visit to thornby hall we visited the cafe - the coffees were excellent - the latte made with coconut milk was just delicious! The menu (vegetarian) looked inviting, innovative and exciting! The location is stunning and so peaceful, calm and relaxing. The staff are incredibly friendly and attentive. Highly recommend this place and we shall be returning soon.

Nipped in late breakfast / lunch.. good tunes and atmosphere. Attentive staff and a good range of drinks and food. Super product and a sign writing class going on.

The best Moules a la Creme outside Brussels but for one thing, it was described as Moules Mariniere which it most definitely wasn,t. But the mussels were big, juicy, succulent in a cream sauce to die for. Pity the Chicken Kiev had no garlic butter AT ALL. And when I asked to talk to the chef to congratulate him on his mussels he never came - the difference between a family resturant and a commercial one. What a pity.

The Staff at The Olive Branch always have a smile and they are volunteers. Nothing is too much trouble and they always make us feel welcome. The Homemade Cakes look delicious and the large Cheese Scones are always eaten by my friends. In the colder weather my friends usually have their soup and I always see someone in there eating a Full English Breakfast at lunchtime.

A proper pub/restaurant in West Haddon. Our first visit on Thursday evening, met by welcoming and friendly staff. How good to see a menu of interesting and diverse dishes. And it did not disappoint. We had starter of Ham Hock Terrin, followed by the Beef short rib and The Brisket pie both with fresh vegetables. All well cooked and presented by an obviously competent kitchen. Everything was exellent. The food and drinks were very competitively priced and the whole place had a good vibrant atmosphere. We will be back soon to try some of the other mouth watering dishes.
