First time hear.just nipped in for a pint .very charming staff

The food here was absolutely amazing. The staff are amazing and welcoming. 100% recommend.

Came here with my children for a meal. Food was very good and great value for money.

Donna, Adam, Rita, Jenny, Sienna and Lish are fab. Like a home away from home ❤️❤️ always got my fave on.

Friendly staff, expertly managed by the very experienced Donna. Very reasonably priced food and very good tv coverage of major sporting events. And they know my wife and I by name! Their Xmas menu is out and available from Dec 2. What's not to like?!

Every other tuesday is a really good social event when they have a quiz. Really friendly staff and good crowd of people get in there. Good beer , good service and a decent meal in there. Recommended

I recently went to this pub to watch the Englands football team play on TV. What a great atmosphere it was in this pub. The staff were friendly, and I wasn't waiting anywhere near as long as I expected to given the night I went.

I've been to this pub on a couple of occasions to watch football on the tvs. Good atmosphere and friendly staff.. Decided to pop in and try the food. We opted for a Ploughman's and a burger. Didn't disappoint Ploughmans was lovelyas was the burger. £7 monday deal as well!

The Woolcomber is everything a housing estate pub should be, the staff couldn't be more welcoming. We took mum here for a mother's day Sunday roast and it was soooo nice. If you like your veg then this is the place to be. I love a good roasty and I wasn't disappointed. Great value as well Cheers to the Woolcomber staff and thank you for always looking after mum.

Had mothers day roast today. Food , service and atmosphere was excellent as always Donna and the team were welcoming. Fresh flowers on each laid table and complimentary chocolates for all mothers. 😊

We came for Mothers Day dinner. The food was excellent. There was more than enough veg. Service was excellent. Just enough time left before dessert which was delicious. Table was set with fresh flowers and a very relaxed atmosphere. We even had complimentary chocolates for the Mums. Highly recommend very good value for money. Can’t wait to come back. Just what this estate needs some home cooked, good quality food!

Lovely local and friendly pub. Wide selection of drinks that are served by equally lovely and friendly staff. Plenty of seating options for any size of party. Lots of car parking as well.

A great experience although a little far from my house, but it is worth it

Nice and comfortable pub with easy access. Plenty of car parking and good range of beers. Staff were very attentive and helpful.

I dashed into the pub to avoid heavy rain when out cycling, and I glad I did. I had a pint of Guinness which was well kept and went down well. The easygoing atmosphere suited me just fine. I will look forward to another pint there.

The singer was amazing and there was a birthday being held on the night, with an amazing group of people which created a wonderful atmosphere. It was lovely seeing everyone soo happy and the singer interacted with them all too.

They advertise they're doing food but aren't,this has been the case to often.not good enough

Drove 150 mls for a pre booked family birthday meal for 7 people only to be told on arrival that the chef quit so theres no food ,weren't even offered a complimentary drink .as you can imagine not impressed

Visited for couple of drinks aftee not been in there for many years for the short time was there it was a great atmosphere and the 2 beatiful ladies behind the bar was very polite and friendly

Finally, a great place to watch Rugby! The staff is very friendly whether it be serving food and drinks, or playing your favorite sporting event on the television. They offer a great selection of cask and drought beer as well. We will be back frequently.

Visited the Woolcomber for lunch today. I had the small plate chilli and the fully loaded nachos. The food was lovely! My friend was also pleased with her food. She had a burger and a dessert. The food was a generous amount for the small plate, and the price was reasonable. The staff are very friendly, they checked we were pleased with our food and they were very helpful. I would recommend and look forward to visiting again soon! Thank you!

Quiet but then I wasn't in at a busy time. Pleasant enough I'm sure it must lovely and lively at peak times. No change but it has a lovely view.

The staff were super friendly and helpful. We booked a table for 8 on a Saturday evening and got an online booking confirmation, somehow it didn’t show up properly in their system despite our confirmation but they managed to organise a table and were very polite and accommodating. The food is classic pub food but the portions are huge. Reasonably priced - I would go again, but I’d boom over the phone.

Lovely pub outside the Town Football 🏀 focused. With SKY sports, as well. Cola soft drinks are costly. A FUN PUB... gets packed out...Meals GORGEOUS. POP IN HAVE A DRINK Sunset views. Dine outside.

Parking is great drinks aren't cheap but this place is a touch run down and the people that go there look rather young ( I would defiantly be asking for proof of age) other than that a great friendly place

Unfortunately I went there for a wake a friend of the family and a regular here. Bar staff were attentive and no one was kept waiting long. The spread of food laid out was descent. Will visit again hopefully on better terms

For an estate pub , this place is way above average. The landlady is a superstar and her staff support her. Always something going on , family parties, sports , entertainers. Food is a bit formulaic , but it's good simple pub grub , always hot & fresh & good value .

On Sat. 18th Jan.2020 my wife and I had a little party for family and friends for our 60th anniversary. We have partied here many times. although the food is not "CHEFY" it is always very good pub grub and also good value for money. the staff are very friendly and helpful and welcoming. Also if you go by car there is lots of parking space. Love the place.

A bit run down. Wasn’t impressed by the food and the bar staff weren’t very attentive. Large parking area and quite close to Wicksteed Park.

I visited her with my girlfriend on a roasting hot Saturday afternoon in early July 2019. Staff were very helpful and friendly, despite is being busy and very hot - the cold beers went down a treat. The clientele was a good mix and included a number of kids. We sat in the outside area under the welcome shade of a large parasol. Would be happy to come back here again.

Great estate pub. Been revamped a little while ago, needed it as it was becoming tired! Very friendly staff, great decor inside and outside area.Lots of locals visits here, which to me is a sign of a great pub to visit. Landlady doesn't stand no trouble or disruptive people, which is how it should be. Lots of televisions on show. World cup packed the pub recently!

Nice EPA served here with a good and friendly atmosphere and with the Geraldine the landlady at the helm it can only get better.The chef is very good with a selection of food for everyones palette and also pleasant on the eyes. And finally Malc the resident DJ plays all Peter Kay's tunes.

My favourite local pub after visiting just a couple of times made to feel like family. Good pool table and often has live music. Good deals on food with 2 for 1 deals.

A new menu has just been released. Be aware that food isnt served on mondays. Kitchen open from 12-2 & 6-8 weekdays. Sat & Sun 12-8. Pub grub it may be, but its good value for money!

Popped in for a quick one on my lunch hour. Very nice pint, very clean and tidy, friendly staff. Can't fault it. :-)
