Woodys Grill in Hammersmith and Fulham

I think the management has changed here, the plates, salads, even the bread are very fresh spicy. Congratulations, it was delicious. Perfect food

Been eating there for long time. (woodygrill chains), i saw a new manager and talked to him and he said management/owner has changed now. Food was delicious, we ate mixed grill this time. Prices are also good for this expensive area. If you like Turkish food i recommend this place.

Rude staff and slow service, no hot mezze available, no falafel. I asked for some grilled halloomui with the cold mezze. She said she would check. My two friends got their mains, I was still waiting. When I reminded them am I going to get my mezze they said yes it will come soon. 10 minutes later (my friends half way through theirs by now) I saw the waitress behind the counter making mine. When she brought it over I asked about the halloumi and she said no, we won’t provide that . I said I can pay for it and she gave me dirty look and walked away. Honestly, it’s overpriced and rude, like the other reviews say.

Do you have some late night cravings after a number of drinks? Well, look no further. This kebab joint will hit the spot. And it's open until 4am! I tried the Lamb Doner Kebab and it was delicious! Very tender and flavorful. Exactly what my tummy wanted. I look forward to coming back!

Fairly awful. No hot mezze available. Of the two cold mezze ordered, one didn't arrive and following the two main courses being delivered, were told it wasn't available. One of the main courses also came back as unavailable. We asked for tap water but it never arrived. Toilets were dirty with broken seats. Staff very unfriendly.

We came here as a large family before a football match. Doner kebabs were dry yet greasy, some chicken wings not cooked properly, rice badly undercooked. All in all a bad experience. I really wish I had read the reviews before coming here. Once bitten, twice shy. Never again!

This place I would not recommend I ordered 8 chicken nuggets and they say they are making it and like 40 minutes later they say again they started making it and then five minutes later they say they don’t have it so if you are looking for a place that sells sharwarma just go to Westfield

Greasy lamb rap charged for chips twice as we asked for the chips to be on the side instead of in the wrap. Customer service shocking just don’t go here £27 for 2 kebabs

so i came into this establishment for a large kebab, what had happened is that one of the workers thought i was too drunk to see that he put it in a small size container. Beware they do stuff like this a lot, cant trust anyone nowadays.

Terrible service. Extremely rude staff. Very aggressive behaviour. I got really worried about my wellbeing. Instead of working they are talking to each other, gossiping and in general they don't care about anything. They messed up my order. When I complained I was told to shut up and to come anymore. Wow. Stay away from that place.

Poor quality and portion size has dramatically decreased. We used to be big fans of this place but in the last couple of years it's really gone downhill. Paying £13.50 for a mixed grill with barely any meat is a far cry from the enormous amount of food that we used to get for the same price. Quality has really dropped too with very dry, nearly inedible chips (which were nearly forgotten until I checked with the server) not to mention the fact the boxes were barely half full. Meat is equally tough and not as flavoursome as before. Staff are rude and generally incapable of getting simple orders right. Not sure if the reason for this is a change in management but sadly we won't be bothering to waste anymore money in Woodys anymore.

I disciovered this restaurant recently after walking in SHepherds Bush market. Friendly, good food and amazing value. The food is very fresh, with good portion kebabs, nice salad, bread and rice. The lamb and chicken kebabs are execellent for inexpensive price. Cash only.

Stopped for a quick meal. The place was large good setting friendly staff. The open kitchen and the displayed food which looked good I ended up ordering the LAMB CHOPS. As I waited the brought me a large SALAD and a maze and pita bread. The SALAD and the maze were good but too much. And when the CHOPS came the plate had more SALAD which again I found it to be too much. The CHOPS were nicely cooked and juicy I just about managed to eat them. Over all the food was good and very reasonable priced.

Came with my family! Najla was so fast and customer oriented, as well as the other lady working on the floor this evening. Prices were decent and the food was filling. Najla gave us tea on the house. She was so kind and I think she deserves some recognition for how hospitable she was! Customers need to be more considerate for waitresses and waiters. They’re not robots! Visited here after attending a concert at O2 s Arena shephards bush Food was lovely. Staff were excellent and made sure we got what we wanted 👍👌

During my stay in london with my family. I disciovered this restaurant Halal and it was amazing. the food is very good. portion is right comparing to price, the lamp is execllent.

So I went to woodys a little late in the evening with a friend, and the food and service were both so brilliant and the price was okay as well , highly highly recommend it’s a must try

I have visited the store in Acton and two of family got a dairiough, restaurant full of flyes, no air conditioning, kofta not pure meat full of hard pits of muscle.

To be honest didn't know what to expect. Quite a decent menu all sorts of kebabs plus a whole host of other things. Clean place, very busy, very friendly and the staff were lovely too. Food was very tasty and so filling. Good price and would visit again. A no frills eat in or take away but very nice.

Woody Grill is about a 10-15 mins walk from Shepherds Bush Station. The toilet seat fell of the toilet was the most entertaining moment. They're not as generous as other Turkish places when it comes to salads, dips etc. The portions were generous overall. But no need to visit again.

The shish kebab tasted of fuel on complaining the manager tasted chicken from my plate and said it was fine, customer service skills training needs to be arranged for the manager. The barking of orders to staff from the manager certainly makes no relaxing environment

I went for take away and try to be quick course of my parking car as in Shepherd's Bush u cannot find any parking ,I went inside and I so different staff and I said is that change hand and one of the chefs hi reply back to me we are big company we change all the time in the rude way and what can I help and I said sorry but I'm regular hers I know all staff but course I haven't come for a while I'm just asking that's all anyway I lettit go so I order my food and go ,but when I went home my food it was ok but the rice pudding it was horrible and dry rock hard I think the chef hi doit in purpose just to put me down as I'm always I'm have from wordy grill and it was nice ,,sorry guys this place it was my favourite place and I took lots of people here but this time u totally let me down and that's why I'm writing this course very rude staff and not helpful at all

The salad was old from the fridge, with placid leaves, smelling like dirty fridge. The food is too greasy, too salty, terrible and unclean. The atmosphere is dull, unwelcoming, ugly, unfriendly, and dirty, you name it. Terrible!

We popped into Woodys for a Saturday lunch before a game at Loftus Road. Even at noon it was half full.We ordered a Lamb Kofte roll and a Lamb Kofte plated.The roll was stuffed full of tasty meat and salad. The plate had two long Kofte, rice and a decent portion of salad. Also provided was a basket of pitta bread and two ramekins of relish.Both the roll and plated meal were hot and tasty. Although as is often with a kebab in a roll, the roll did get a little greasy by the end. This is a common issue due to the natural juices exuding from the meatsEach meal was £9.50. Not cheap but I felt reasonable for the large quantity of food in a popular London location.The staff were friendly, polite and efficient Would I go again. Absolutely To be followed by at pint at the Crown and Sceptre!

I came here recently looking to feed 4 additional workers and it's a place I visited a few years ago therefore felt appropriate to fill ourselves nice. We ordered a kebab special which the waitress said can feed 4-5 people.We ordered a side of chips on top to compliment it as well.The food arrived after 15 mins, a mix of lamb,chicken,ribs,wings,rice and naan. The food was fresh and really good. I will be visiting again in the future.

Spotted this place as I was exiting Shepherds Bush market. Feeling hungry, liking Lebanese food and wanting to get out of the rain I called in. It was mid afternoon but place was still fairly busy. Menu had decent selection of kebabs and service was prompt and efficient. Meat was beautifully cooked and very tasty. Accompanying bowl of Lebanese bread was also very tasty and there was plenty of it. Looking forward to going back on my next trip to London in a few weeks.

Admittedly it was 1.30am, it seems presented well, fresh meats laid out in the counter, pleasant decor inside for a kebab place. The experience went down when we told to sit down and take a seat.2 mixed shawarma 1 portion fries - dry tasteless and Luke warm shredded dried meat. Definitely the worst meal in a very very long time.Another gentleman walked in saying he would report. A homeless man walked in. I was about to say take our food and don't worry about buying. Then some kind person thankfully bought his meal. I was thinking imagine after waiting such a long time for a nice meal and the homeless man comes back to dry tasteless overpriced food. I felt bad that I had 20quid and felt overcharged for what I can only be called yesterday's dried ends of meat.Never again

Went as a family four for a family lunch. We ordered the special platter for £35. This included a selection of meat and salad as well as unlimited bread. The food was of an exceptional standard. Everything was freshly made and tasted great. The salad was lovely and the selection of meats were all hot and well seasoned. The freshly baked bread and two side sauces were lovely as well. Would highly recommend and def be going back again.

Wow, went to Woody's earlier. I ordered the lamb donner kebab, which looked more like a sharwarma than the pressed donners elsewhere (which is a good thing). I also asked for two 330ml cans of Pepsi.The bill came to £9.30, the kebab was meant to be £5.90 and it was really obvious the dozy till girl had overcharged me... but she insisted it was correct and handed me the bag.When I got back I opened the bag and it had two cans of pepsi... only...So I had to go all the way back to Woody's where incredulous staff pointed out I'd left my kebab BEHIND THE COUNTER.I pointed out it should have been put in my bag but they just handed it to me and moved on.In truth the dozy girl had done me a favour, and I shouldn't have gone back. Low quality meat, some gunky red cabbage in a thin tortilla that had been smoked (tasted weird).I threw most of but thought I'd get a bit out of the bin so you could see what you are missing...

Average place, average food. Pre prepared pizza, not the ideal place to try it. I would try one more time...

If you're looking for authentic, delicious Turkish food at very reasonable prices this is the place to go! Every dish I've tried has been exceptional. Highly recommended!

Freshly made bread and kebabs always a treat. Attitude of staff is not personal: just request their attention and request what you want. I always look forward to my lunch there when I visit the bush

Unsure of the bad reviews, however I went there with my partner yesterday evening, I had the shish chicken on a plate plus French fries and my partner had the mixed grill with French fries. My was so filling, chicken very juicy and succulent not as great as previous Turkish restaurant I went to recently however it was very nice, my partner ate all his as well as finished mine . Overall price £25 but worth it, we will return. Partner is going with his father and try the platter and from what I saw of that was huge and went down well with many. Very nice place ...recommended as usual.

This review is for the Shepherds bush branch( I have not been to other branches). This place is chaotic and they seem to always get the incorrect order even when they are not busy. You also have to watch what they are doing as it is not the cleanest of places. hands from the bin straight to serving food. It is filling and cheap but the staff are disorganised and it doesn't seem as if they care what they give you.my last experience was terrible where I ended up telling them I don't want my order and walked out.I am unsure how they can be in such chaos all the time as they are not understaffed and seem to be tripping over each other most of the time

The food was decent and so was the price. It's filling but I'd say that it's nothing special. There are other places in the area that I'd recommend above this one, but it's okay.

I was just here 10 minutes ago... I witnessed the cook trying to remove meat from the skewers. He did it with too much force... And it fell on the floor.SHOCKINGLY he picked it up... Tried to hide it... And served it to some guest LIKE NOTHING happened!!!I told the server as there wasn't a manager (obviously!) around... But nothing happened. Apparently a previous fine from the council didn't encouraged them to change the appalling habits.Please close the shop if you can't stick to any BASIC HYGIENE!!

Always packed when we walk past we thought we would test it out. Unfortunately it never got that far. We walked in and it took more than it should for someone to tell us we could sit at any table (oh they were only about a quarter full); we were shown to a dirty table and that was that; we sat there twiddling our thumbs not even knowing if there was meant to be a menu or not; we eventually saw menus by the till and went and got them; we then carried on twiddling our thumbs waiting for someone to take an order; we left after about fifteen minutes. Sigh. The food looked good but alas they didn't seem interested in serving us.

Food was great - very tasty and extremely filling. Staff were extremely busy and it seemed very chaotic but the owner knew exactly what was going on and who had what so our bill was bang on.

Every now and then you need a kebab; if this time strikes you and you are in She Bu then Woody's is one of the best to try. This is not high cuisine; and yes sometimes the service can be average; but their fully loaded kebab is just what you need when you need a kebab

Took 20 minutes to order, then 40 minutes for the food to come, 10 minutes after our drinks and then to pay the bill took an additional 10 minutes.. Didn't give half our food and over charged us. The waiters are RUDE and they have a bad attitude. Do not waste your money.. Better off going down the local chip shop.

Reasonably priced large kebab restaurant Ordered one of their combo kebab grills for just under £20 including some chipsArrived and the food was good but the attitude of the waitress was so bad that it spoilt what would have been a higher mark as the food was decent Attracting her attention as a couple was difficult as she was pre occupied with tables of men that she was flirting with

Very busy. Constant traffic, so you get the feeling they want you in and then out. Food was acceptable and tasty. But not out of this world. We had the mixed grill to sample everything. Came with some mixed salad which was nice, meat was average, hot sauce was really good. As was the bread which was warm and fresh.

This was our 2nd visit to a Woody Grill and it was just as delicious as the 1st time. The service is swift and polite without any frills. The food is excellent and cheap. Lovely Turkish tea served authentically in a little glass. The warm flat read served with yoghurt dip ayvar on arrival is lovely, you could eat yourself silly on that alone. More than great value for money. I would gladly eat there again even if it was a bit dearer. Absolutely recommendable to anybody who wants cheap tasty slow food served quickly. Oh, and for Baklava-lovers, the portions are ample.

Quick lunch before going to the cinema, food is properly disgusting sorry to say but it s true had a chicken with mash potatoes on top and it was still raw, ordered mix grill for my other half and there was more fat than meat. They don t give glasses just cans of drinks.the waitress was sweating and touching her hair all the time. Bad odour in the restaurant, this place needs to be inspected and clean up.

Had the big platter to share between a group of friends. We ate more than half of it then my friend found a long piece of hair hidden underneath the pile of rice, which originally covered the whole of the plate under the grilled meats.We spoke to a waitress to which was rudely replied, it's none of theirs and chef has short hair. We then speak about the other waitress with hair all loosely hanging off the side of her face, constantly waltzing around the kitchen and seen handling food. But was shown denial then left ignored.Eventually, we spoke to the person in charge that day, yet was given the same reply and questioned why we didnt mention of the hair in the beginning of the meal. We explained again of the other waitress but was refused any sort of appologie other than expressing the possibility that we had placed it there.

We got into our hotel late and just wanted some good food. Most of the pubs nearby close the kitchen at 10pm and one of the bouncers suggested Woodys. A great little restaurant. The locals eating there were very friendly and suggested food for us to try. We had the chicken doner and it was wonderful. Fresh bread on the table and delicious sauces. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful as well.

Horrible food, place smelt bad.Ordered one chicken doner and one lamb doner. Tried one piece of each then told the waitress it was bad and left without paying.Don't go here, you might as well punch yourself in the mouth...

Excellent Turkish food. Fine kebabs. More free bread than you can shake a stick at. Friendly staff. Perfect for a late night kebab that isn't going to leave you with a sinking sense of shame and a date with the porcelain telephone the next day.

Went there for 30 min.Left after ordering due to hygiene issues on table, bathroom , and forks.Food looks ok until u take a closer look as all filled with fatty oil.Only good thing was the Bread.Value for money is NullNot recommended even for trail.

We popped in looking for something quick to eat, very nicely surprised by the food and table service. We had chicken doner meat and chips, arrived at the table in minutes and tasted great. Best kebab we have had. Staff were very friendly and everything looked clean and smelled delicious. We also got some free pita/ naan type bread and sauces which seemed to be given to all tables and was a nice touch with no extra cost. Will be eating here next time we are in the area and cannot see where the two poor ratings on here have come from!

Place seems nice and friendly, I have visited this twice now (thinking my second experience will be better). The food in all fairness was lacking massively for me to even think about eating from there again. And the prices are extortionant! Would rather go down the road where there are 100s other Turk/Arab restaurants serving better food with better prices.

The food was dull to an extreme - not what you want in a place like this. The hot sauce wasn't. The lamb kebab had been flame cooked, but I think they forgot to marinade it first. The staff could not speak English. The table was wiped down in front of us by a woman using a filthy rag. Lovely place. Must come back...

Woody Grill is like an awesome friend. You could not speak to him for months, but when you're in a bind and you need help fast, he's there in a second, always happy to see you, never with any judgement. Don't mistake Woody's as your bog standard takeaway joint either - there's no greasy slop here. Okay, so you're never going to get a warm hug from the infamously friendly(!) waitresses, but the important thing is service is quick. The place is always clean and busy, day or night, and most important of all, the food is fresh, good, and cheap. If you're eating in, order the "falafel on a plate" - really fresh falafels, a basket of warm turkish bread, loads of hummus and awesome salad - all for under £4!

This place is amazing! One of the few in London serving Lahmacun! Fresh food, affordable prices, great service!

Good quality grill, nice kebabs, staff very friendly. Nice chilled atmosphere. Nice chilli and tzatsiki sauce. Would recommend.

It's just another 20/20 for Woody Grill - great service and portions if great fresh food that makes you want to book a flight and go to Istanbul! Puts other kebab houses to shame- the only place to go if you're really hungry. You won't finish it:) Great , great great!!!!!!!

The restaurant is located very close to the tube line, this is essentially a kebab shop with ample seating and few extra dishes than the normal places. The food is a bit hit and miss, it taste is more like convenient food as opposed to proper restaurant food, which is reflected in the price.Our waitress struggled with English and ended up bringing food that we hadn't asked for.
